[Q] Is mSD Encryption possible? - Sony Xperia M

I have the c2004 with CM11(12/3/14 version) and no custom kernel(3.4.0-CM+), I've encrypted the phone and I was certain that the mSD would be encrypted too, but it was not, I've googled how to do so, and there was a guide saying that in security there would be an option to encrypt the SD card, but it isn't there, then I came to xda where I found everything that I needed to put CM in my phone(Thanks!) but I didn't found it either, so, if there is a way to encrypt the mSD could you please tell me or show me a topic where it is explained?

[Q] apps like theft-aware when using sd-ext

Hello all,
I am receiving a new SD card tomorrow and I'm planning on making a partition on that card to install all my apps on the SD card.
Now I wondered, if you use apps like theft aware ( https://www.theftaware.com ) which I am considering, this does mean that from the moment the thief removes the SD-card, the whole app is gone right?
I read in an old topic that it's not possible to install an app in the phone's real internal memory when you use an external partition, is this still not possible?
The app is factory reset proof etc, only way to remove it is to flash a new ROM, but if removing the SD card also would remove it (in this case), it makes it already less attractive..
If anybody would also happen to have links on guides or more info about the sd-ext process, feel free to add them here, so far I have read http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=SD_card_partitioning and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1015532&page=164 and http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1175550 but the more info before first trying it the merrier.
Cheers

Encryption

Hi,
what happens if I encrypt the full phone (including sd card?) and I just update my mod? Is everything lost, or does ICS recognize the encrypted SD card and asks for the correct pin code?

[Q] My Phone Can not Read content on my SD Card

Hello Guys,
I had to encrypt my phone because of the Company i was working in before. And now when i quite i wanted to remove the Encryption by decrypting, But No, that does not work.
According to Samsung you have to Factorey reset the phone.
So i Did...
After that my Phone does not recognize any content on my SD card. I can not View pictures or Viedos. I can not listen to music or open office files.
If i add something to the SD card i can read and write to it. But i CAN NOT access the old info stored to the SD card before factory reset.
when i plug the the SD card into the Computer, i can not open any of the content, it´s like they are encrypted or something.
Please help.
Thanks in advance.
Well it does say when youre trying to factory reset that you won't be able to access encrypted sd card files as the encryption key will be erased with the reset..

So Stupid!
Yes, i saw that yesterday when i did factory reset again. i thought that if i use same password when encrypting that maybe i will get the same key and can unlock the files on my SD Card. but no... i did not work.
In other Words, the files are not damaged on the SD Card, they are encrypted, right ?
If no one in this forum can help me out, i will save the SD Card for the future.
Maybe technology will be able to solve this kind of issues or maybe i will get to know a nice Hacker that will offer his/her help.
Please let me know if there is an other solution out there.
Thanks.
I don't think anyone will be able to help you here, that's the whole point of encrypting it. Why do you think that your Company insisted on it in the first place?

How to encrypt all files in the SD Card (phone said new files will be encrypted)?

Hi,
I have Android 5.0.1 installed on my HTC One M8. I enabled encryption in the SD Card but the phone said "only new files will be encrypted".
I want to encrypt my old files too, do you know how can I achieve it?
Thanks

Stock + 128GB SD, later maybe LineageOS

Hello all,
I have HTC 10 already rooted with TWRP and SuperSU running Stock Android 7.0.
I'm happy with Stock room but most probably I'll install LinageOS.
I have options and questions in my head to reconsider:
Restricted SD card access - I agree with it (after what I red just recently), but my idea was to use advantage of 128GB (fast one) card and store various app data to it. I was used to "full SD card access". I was thinking just format it as adopted but It would get wiped after ROM reset (which shouldn't happened that often once I'm settled down). But how is going to be SD card access on TWRP backup and recovery?
I red somewhere splitting SD card but it seems not necessary.
I don't know yet but how does LinageOS 14.1 handle SD card?
I would love to here there is simple solution for SD card for Android 7.0 (is it Nugat?...) or LinageOS 14.1. Because I have tried SDfix but didn't work because Error information - "no groups specified in WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE".
What solution wold you recommend? What options do I have?
BTW: Also I have in plan to start setup with ElementalX Kernel to get more functionality possibly?...
EDIT:
Should I use App2SD/Link2SD maybe?
