HTC One M8 charger is best for Nexus 5 as it provides 5V and 1.5 amp current if you will use 2amp charger for a long period of time it will degrade battery life of your phone.

No I don't have any link and beware all e-commerce sites are flooded with duplicate htc chargers so enquire before you buy by the way in.mobilefun.com is reliable.

Charging the Galaxy note 2 - North American Users

I ordered the International Version of the SGN2 and it'll be here on Tuesday but I have an important question to ask. I watched several unboxings on YouTube and I could help but notice all of them came with the UK prongs for the AC adapter.
My question is how are the north american users charging their new Galaxy Note 2's?
Did you guys buy an adapter? Use a different charger? (If so would the nexus 7's charger work?)
Please advise...

You should be OK with almost any USB 5V charger rated at 1A or more, but a 2A charger, like the Nexus 7's, would be the quickest.

I ordered from Negrielectronics so I doubt I'll be getting one. What did they give you? 2A?

My GN2 should be here Monday. If they didn't supply an adapter, I'm just going to run over to my local Radio Shack and pick up one of these.

When you pre order from handtec they throw in a free adapter, and the note charges super fast like 10% to a 100% in 2 and a half hours.

Anyone in Canada (Toronto area in particular) know where to buy one of these?
I know they're on eBay but I can't find it on the source.ca
Any suggestions?

I have American Style adapters with converter prongs, and have been using it on 220v here in Korea. I've used it the other way as well. They all work no problem.

AFAIK, the charging voltage on the Note II is the same 5V as all other phones, thus any USB charger should work. The only difference is in the current rating. A (tablet) charger rated for up to 2A will charge it faster, while others will be slower. Heck, you could use a 0.5A BT headset charger too! It will just take over 24 hours to fully charge the beast.
The current rating is the amount of current the device can supply safely. Its like a tap, the bigger the spout, the faster the water flow.

Actually my s2 charger (5v 0.7a) charges my note2 from 7% to 100% in 5 hours.
I'm considering keeping that charger for daily use as my note2 only charges during the night anyways while im sleeping and I think its more gentle on the battery to slow charge it. And I'll keep the 2A charger for emergencies.

I don't know where to buy a charger!

Hi all,
I need to buy a charger for my SGS3. I need either a genuine Samsung one, or a safe and compatible micro-usb charger with an extended cable. I don't want to get one on ebay because I don't trust the listings, and Amazon's listings have negative reviews where users talking about their chargers have exploded and flown across the room.
I'm UK based so I don't want to order from other countries due to shipping times/costs.
Helpful inputs will be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!
Any charger is compatible heck i even use the apple ipad plug and a OEM Htc cable and it works fine
the phone itself regulates all the charging not the charger itself..
but make sure you buy a Hi quality micro USB cable or else you could short your phone
Thanks for the reply, but where should I buy the product from?

Amazon is one of the best places and by sorting them by highest rated and with the most reviews makes it easy. Or if you want to keep it easy, buy the Galaxy S4 charger (2.1 A instead of 1.0 A!) off Samsung.com and if you register your device, they give you a 50% of promo code for mobile accessories which makes it about $20.

For the price, it wouldn't hurt to buy one but another thing to look out for is number of reviews, which can say a lot of the quality and utility!

Another good option is to check hotels in your area. People leave behind their phone chargers ALL THE TIME: they're not worth driving back for, and often people won't even bother to have them mailed to them. As a result, pretty much every hotel desk has a box of chargers that they hold on to for people who forgot to bring theirs. If you ask nicely, they might let you pick through it and take one. These are often the brandname chargers that came with the phones.
I noticed that the ones with a lot of reviews seem to be the most untrustworthy, I saw a listing with one that had 60 5 star reviews, but it also had 50 1 star reviews that talked about how the charger has literally blown up and flown across the room or stopped working on its second charge. As for local hotels... There aren't any near where I live

Can't you just go to some big retail surface around your area and get one from there? Any charger with a microusb will work. The only thing i'd look out for is the 1A charging current (like the original) so the phone finishes charging in in about 2h. Just avoid the real obvious crap ones from shady brands and you should be fine. You can just trade it in if it doesn't work properly. I got a bundle from energizer for a bit less than 20€ (around £17). Had a wallsocket charger with 2 usb sockets (1A), a car charger one (with 1A and 2 usbs too), a rather long cord and several ends to plug just about every device i could think of. Obviously microusb included.
What about the same as the one provided in the original box? It should be safe I think.

What's the largest mah battery that fits in the standard case?

I have searched but there's soo many battery threads i thought it'd be easier to just ask...
And any links to buying in the UK please
Sent from my Nexus 5 using Tapatalk
Yeah I am interested in opinions for best choice of battery, I have 2 and they are aging, one is a knockoff I suppose but held up great for a long time, now it drains while not in use so it is almost due time for a replacement!
There already was a thread exactly like this. The conclusion: OEM 2100 mah battery.

Its nice to be nexus branded but still pricey in my opinion. I bought a 2 pack OEM brand new Blackberry playbook 1.8a wall chargers for 4.99 on ebay a while ago. It was an amazing deal and the chargers work great and charge my phone a bit faster.
Just found out they have the daily deal again on ebay for 4.99! Great deal and alternative to the nexus one's if anyone is interested

I bought 6 of these a while back and it's one of the best purchases I've made for my phone. That micro USB is pretty much universal already so it is kind of future proof. I usually get a few chargers at once because they break but I'm still on my same one since December.

I was going to buy this charger, but i ended up buying the Nexus Wireless Charger because, afaik, it comes with exactly the same micro-usb Nexus charger + cable....
Is like 15€ for the microUSB charger and 25€ more for the wireless charging square......
I know that 15€ for this charger is a lot of money if you compare it with other chargers......but compared to Apple's officials accessories (charger in this case) imo is cheap and it's also standard (micro usb).
However...I admit, it's more fanaticism (to Nexus brand) than anything else.
Thanks for the heads up, just bought a spare as well as a wireless charger - it's about time!
Interesting. If anyone has any feedback, I'm eager to listen to what you have to say.
