Well. I can give it a try.

I'll attempt this. Battery case would be handy for RSP.

As someone who owns both the limefuel nexus 5 case and the zerolemon, I'd be happy to review this unit.
Let me know if I can help.
-Rob

I've been looking for more than Amazon reviews on this for weeks now. I would give it a full detailed write up!

Looks like a nice case, and I'm particularly interested in how it attaches.
I have one of the Limefuel cases which I almost never use, because it tends to pry up the glass screen protectors I use.
Looking at the photo of this one, am I right in thinking it's partly making use of the headphone jack to hold itself in place

seems pretty cool, I wanna try it out

I wanna try it too
Sent from my Nexus 5 ?

Currently using a cheap Ebay bumper cover, I'd love to review the unit, I've pretty obsessed with battery life!

Looks cool, i would like to try it

I would love to give this a try, currently testing a portable charger but having a backup attached to my device would make things even better Also I need a new case and this looks like it would be perfect for my red Nexus good luck everyone also thanks for doing this, glad to see people giving back

Hi! Could I get it? P

Yeah it would be great trying one of these and review it.

Hello. I've never had a battery case and this may sound stupid but, does the battery work without the case itself? Thanks.

Aww guess I can't test it then .

I'd be willing to test also.

Thx for the feedback mate.I have a question,
Does it show u that 2430mha capacity in battery monitor widget app?
If so, i'm willing to give it a try.
By the way, how long u been using it? & the performance vs the stock battery is huge or not that much?
cheers
I've started to look at a bigger battery as well apparently Mugen is the best but the battery is only 1500 mah and I've read somewhere than the bigger battery are harder to insert in the phone.
I'm not I'd be ok to put a 20$ battery in my phone...
Did you hear about "Anker"?

Good question!
Never checked this, but now i notice it shows 1230 (wrong reporting? / fake battery? / value left from the original battery?) but definitely this battery lasts longer than the original one.

58000 WON, that's around USD 52.
Not bad. Like how the Note slips in on the left side. I write left handed so I'm curious about this case.
nice one. i cant find like that here.
It's a great leather but you'll be able to find something ALMOST equal on ebay. Portfolio-style with credit cards supports etc.
P. S.
I must confess this one it's a little bit more cool instead of others
I love the brown one

look nice, singapore got sell meh?
Nice case. A good idea, and well presented too!
For me the best leather case is from Zenus. im using Mastige Ostrich beige colors
I saw a YouTube video on the case and wanted it so badly too. So I went on the site and tried sending an email but got no reply whatsoever. Mind you, this was exactly 10 days ago. Maybe you'll have better luck than me, this is the email l found on the contact page of that site if you want to try: [email protected]
If you get a reply back, mention me please!

Finally I found Gmarket can do the international order with above link, here to share it with you guys who like that badly too .....
zenus is the best
I personally don't like zenus. their cases are not elegant on design.. it looks like more suitable for young peoples. I'm too old and can't match their pattern / color style. I will study gmarket website and order it, additional delivery charge is around US$10. I think it worth me to buy it at total US$63, a best leather case plus function of an additional wallet.

Good luck!
This IS relevant to my interests. Good looking out.
Cool contest. And its good to know that there is a guy that is printing custom ones. I've had some ideas running through my head that I was wondering if they could get done.
Thanks. Entered!
Can it be done with experiences of other devices too?
Can we by any chance buy one ourselves without competing?

Yes. Visit the GRUVER concepts link in the contest. It should be available for purchase there.

This contest discriminates against people like me who read instructions properly and therefore have never had a bad flashing experience!

It can if too much power is applied. In this case no. It just etches the surface.

The most important part is not the amount of power (or pulse energy) but the pulse duration (you use pulsed lasers for this kind of stuff). If the pulse duration is shorter or almost as short as the heat transfer duration between the atoms/molecules, melting is not a problem any more.
The pulse is "gone" before the heat can effect the nearby matter. You will get really sharp edges.
To win this would be awesome but I've never had any problems flashing anything so "unfortunately" I can't enter the competition, on the other hand I'm fortunate to never had any devices bricked!
great
Thanks for sharing, just bad when i read the others and see i was the daftest lol.
i know it shuts on the 23rd (i think) but when will the winner be announced? i can imagine it may take a while to read all the entrys lol,
Do you know if the cdma version will work on sprints version of the phone? Planning on getting mine sunday. Unfortunetly I can't think of any good stories that surpass those. But I do have my fair share since the days of winmo.
nice. thanks for posting.

This is such a cool contest! I just submitted my story. Would be awesome to combine my just ordered GSM Galaxy Nexus with an XDA branded back cover!
Think you'll enjoy my short story about attempting to update my brand new Nexus One while hiding in the work bathroom and thinking I ruined the phone
Quick update for all who entered...
Just a quick update for all those who entered:
We received over a hundred contest entries, most of which were quite epic (perhaps even of the 4g variety)! Picking just 20 winners (10 GSM, 10 CDMA/LTE) was tough, so I added in 3 bonus winners who forgot to write in what type of Nexus they own, but still provided excellent stories. I will send those three an XDA-Developers T-Shirt instead.
Winners will be announced in an hour, at 11:30a Eastern time. At that point, I will shoot off PMs to the lucky few who had the most entertaining and spine-tingling stories asking for their mailing address.
Thank you to all those who participated in the contest. It's amazing how many crazy tales our mobile devices bring us!

Two Extended Battery Cases

Guys and Gals,
I found two extended battery cases, currently sold only through Hong Kong distributors, which really tickled my pink ...
Here's the first: supplemental 3200mAh battery built-into an integrated back with front flap and metal kickstand.

Here's the second: supplemental 2600mAh battery built-into an integrated case with front flap and metal kickstand.
I ordered the second one and should have it by the middle of next week.
The primary difference between the two seems to be the connection between the phone and the battery (the first is constant, the second is on-demand) and the increased side/corner protection offered by the second case.
They are both available on eBay ... I'll let everyone know how my purchase experience goes.

To you first question:
No, because it looks like both battery cases have a discrete power button -- which means your primary battery only gets 'recharged' when you activate the secondary battery. I have heard that constant-on secondary batteries cause this problem, though ...
To you second question:
I'm not sure if the case enclosure or size would inhibit either of these. I can try when the case arrives and report back ...
Pj

I too am curious as to whether NFC still works with those cases since a battery with metal will be obstructing the NFC chip in the OEM battery
No link? Really?
Hmm, it's an interesting alternative to something like this http://www.amazon.com/SlimTalk-Micro-USB-Flashlight-Smartphones-Sensation/dp/B0054U6CEE/
Might be something nice to use on a flight so you can game or watch a movie and still have battery left to call people when you land

Took like 1 second to find those...
I just looked at a bunch of these ebay. For one thing they spelled Samsung wrong on the rear cover Sanmsung ha!
They also all seem to have a max charge rate of 500mA, which means if you are really pushing your phone (nav, videos, etc) the battery won't be a to keep up with the discharge rate.
Seems like a waste of money unless something higher quality comes along.
Anyone have experience with this one:

It's 1000 mAh according to the Indigogo page.
I see, so you can expect a real life charge of about 700mAh if this unit has a efficiency of about 70% ?
