Shortcut to Bluetooth tethering? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hello everyone. I have a question. Have you guys ever found an app or widget that takes you directly to Bluetooth tethering or turns on Bluetooth tethering in a single step? I don't want to use Wifi tethering if possible... That's why I would like to know if this is possible...
Thank you in advance.
Kind regards,
Kent.

Anyone? I'd love to know how to get to this menu ASAP!

If you are using Nova launcher, you can long press on your home screen and select Shortcuts > Activities > Settings > Tethering and Networks
If you aren't using Nova, there are a number of apps on the play store that will let you create activity shortcuts like this as well.

[Q] CM7 Tethering Question

I was wondering if there is any way i can change what shortcuts i have when i drag down the status bar, i see 4 shortcuts on the top theres the wifi, bluetooth, gps, and volume. for me, one of the most used functions on this new rom is the tether, is there any way i can add or even replace one of these shortcuts with the tether?
it gets really annoying to have to go into settings then wireless then tether.
Yes.
Settings > CM settings > Interface > Notification Power Widget > Widget buttons
All the way at the bottom is Toggle Wifi AP [hotspot]. Wimax is 4G, and the mobile data is you 3G.
Ohh yea
I just figured this out the other day and its "Awesome" as barney would say
anyways
go to Settings
CyanogenMod settings
Notifications power widget
Widget buttons
and choose what notifications you want
then press back
and in the notification power widget "settings" you can choose the order you want everything
"Widget button order"
its soo useful

Great idea, thanks alot
'Unlock with Wifi' if you have a Wi-fi network at home.
Otherwise 'Tasker' or possibly others.
PS: This is NOT the Q&A section!
NoLock (free on market) works perfectly on my sgs2. Don't like having to swipe everytime I want to use my phone and NoLock makes it so that a simple press of the home button takes me to my homescreen. Not had any issues with it at all. Just works.
And you can set screen-off animations too.

Automatic home screen shortcut disable

So I just bought my GNex today and I can't figure out for the life of me how to disable this "feature":
- whenever you install an app, a shortcut is made for it on the home screen.
Does anyone know how to disable that? Thanks!
Go to the Market app, go to the settings of it and unchecked the option to create shortcuts for installed apps.

Ah, thank you very much!

[Q] How do you make a shortcut to the WiFi settings on the desktop? [RESOLVED]

How do you make a shortcut to the WiFi settings on the desktop? In the other Android, we were able to make shortcuts to any setting, was that removed in ICS?

Oh, so that's how it's done now. THANKS!
Hmmm, I noticed that there are no "direct" shortcuts available anymore, is this true?
Kinda sucks cuz I use Simi Clock and wanted the battery launcher to open up the Battery Setting screen.
I use widgetsoid to add toggles to the notification bar, which will also launch wifi settings directly when pressed. (or any other setting you want) it has a widget too.

tons of 3rd party apps that also do this and a better job also

Motion sense shortcut

Hey guys,
I was wondering if anyone has any ideas how I can automate motion sense being on and off.
I use Macrodroid and want to create an automation where if connected to my car Bluetooth it turns on motion sense so I can use the skip song gestures.
I'm struggling to work this out...
Alternatively is there a way I can create a shortcut to settings, system then motion sense?
I would appreciate any help!
Thanks

You can create a widget with nova launcher to take you right there. Just have to use activity widget and not an action widget.
This is obviously assuming you're using nova launcher.
You can use activity launcher to create a shortcut to the same location as well. Activity launcher should let you use the shortcut on the pixel launcher if that's what you're using, but I haven't tested this to be sure.
