[Q] tab s 8.4 model and color availability? - Galaxy Tab S Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have decided that i really want the samsung tab s 8.4 in white, with the exynos processor. However i originally thought there was no white available on lte, until i saw some unlocked models on amazon.com. if i were to buy lte, i would wanna use it on at and t , so here are my questions:
1. What are all the models available? Ive seen 700, 705 , and 800, and im very confused. What is the difference between each?
2.As i stated i want the white version, but if possible i want the white with the gold rims and the golden samsung logo on the back. Is the standard wifi only USA model that one? Or is that only an international version?
3. Is there an exynos one with lte on it? Perhaps of the unlocked models?
Here is a link to the color i want. Not sure if its the right model, but definitely the right colors http://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B00MU...SX110_SY165_QL70#immersive-view_1419959988006
Thank you very much for your help.

The 705 is the tab s 8.4 with Lte. The 700 and 800 are the WiFi models

700 - WiFi only 8.4"
705 - LTE model 8.4"
800 - WiFi only 10.5"
805 - LTE model 10.5"
For international model, all LTE model (Exynos) got 2 colour choice (both side is bronze)
- Titanium Bronze
- Dazzling White

So international model lte does have exynos? Are they compatible with at and t?

[Q] Is the Note 8.0 (n5100) a quad-band phablet?

I'm looking into getting the n5100 from Asia to use as a Phablet on the Telus network (850/1900) in Canada.
I've been looking online to confirm whether the phone is a true quad band that would work.
On the Samsung UK site (only place I found spec on the 3G version), it says it's depends on regions. And there aren't much resources online listing whether the N5100 has specific models that are quad band vs others that are not.
Any help appreciated. Thanks!

Where are you getting yours, if Hong Kong only LTE version n5120 unless you bought gray market N5100 which is import from somewhere else.
I just received my N5120 LTE and use it on rogers. LTE working fine I think it only work on the 2600mhz the other band is for Europe and Asia area, so you have to check with telus if they have the 2600. I also test 3g and it work without any problem but same issue, it is tri band 3g, and only 850mhz the other band is for other area.
For n5100 form Taiwan Samsung website, is said it support 3g quad band 850/900/1900/2100mhz just like my Tab 7.7, so I guess you will not have any problem using it on Telus.
They are releasing an att version soon. It will work for you
N5100 from India is also quad band (3g+wifi )

[Q] Tab Pro 8.4 LTE - Difference between EU and UK models?

Hi,
Is there a difference between the European version of the Tab Pro 8.4 LTE and the UK version of the Tab Pro 8.4 LTE?
I have ordered what I thought was the UK version from a retailer, but it turns out that the order page now says EU model so just
wanted to see if there were any differences like in terms of 4G bands, processors etc?
Thanks
Bump.

[Q] Snapdragon 800

Good Evening to all
I've got a question, is it possible to get a Tab S 10.5 with the Snapdragon 800? I searched a lot but I can't find it. I live in Europe so the LTE Version is also power by the Exynos processor...but I want the Snapdragon with LTE. Where can I import it? Please help me
:fingers-crossed:
SD800 is exclusive to U.S. operators only as Exynos radio chip isn't supporting all U.S. network bands.

Even if you get the SD version, it will have LTE bands that don't work in your country - You're screwed.

Clarification for Snapdragon and Exynos Variants

hi. i have been looking out for this device as im really interested. made some threads here as well. and here is my findings for the new comers or for people interested but confused about the Chipset variants.
EXYNOS variants.
All Tab S, 10.5 and 8.4 have Exynos variants, Be it Wi-Fi only or 3G only or LTE.
3G variants have Data connectivity but only 3G (duh...) LTE means 4G LTE but NON-US Lte bands.
Exynos, did not have data modem in it and thats why previously we only saw this chipset in the wifi only models for samsung tabs.
now they have introduced an Intel/Broadcomm Modem in this chipset and hence the 2or3Grams difference in weight of 3G and wifi model.
u will find, both 32Gb and 16 Gb variants with this chipset so beware!
SNAPDRAGON variants:
there is NO 16Gb snapdragon variant. simple. untill u get the Sprint US model.
there is NO wifi only model with this chipset. u only get the LTE and US LTE model.
this would be only 32Gb model and it would state that on the box, or it would only be any carrier model
my advise, before buying the tab, if u really interested in getting the Snapdragon one, DO CONFIRM IT FROM THE BOX AND SELLER! be it from some store or from some individual selling it.
hope i helped a little
I have Snapdragon version and it is 16GB.
I bought it in Slovakia (Orange)

[Q] Tab S 8.4 as a phone. Which version?

I'm in the US and most of the US tablets have the cellphone functions disabled. I'm on AT&T Currently with a Huawei Mediapad X1 (LTE doesn't work, but HSPA+ seems decent enough)
It seems that if I get an international version the phone stuff is enabled, but then LTE probably won't work in the US?
Just looking for some direction as I'm only planning on buying the Tab S 8.4 if I can use it as my phone as well, I have no need to carry 2 devices.
I'm also finding it hard to tell which versions have the Snapdragon CPU. From what I can tell the CPU performance between Exynos and Snapdragon seems about the same, but the GPU performance of the Snapdragon seems much better. I do play a fair amount of games.
Thanks!
I am not great on the version numbers but T705 is the standard exynos 4G version.
I would say go for one where you can get a firmware for the UK or somewhere else.
My T805 (10.5" exynos 4G) has all the phone functions.

Is your T805 a US model?
So if I pickup a US LTE version can I just root it and add back the dialer app to make it work as a phone? Or do they lock out the phone functions some other way in the US?
Mine is a UK T805, but if it is actually that model, so a T705. It will be Exynos 4G. You got a few websites you are looking on that I can look at the models for you?

If I get an international one from Amazon
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00LVUUM6A/ref=gno_cart_title_0?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=A1QPS08K9FKKNF
That should work fine as a phone and the LTE ones should be snapdragon 800 equipped.
The issue is these international ones won't work with LTE bands in the US
So that's why i'm wondering if I get a US one (LTE bands will work in the US of course) can I somehow get the software on it to be able to use as a phone (As the US disables phone capability somehow)
My current phone is a Chinese LTE phone, the LTE does not work in the US, but I do get HSPA+ which is decent enough, It would just be nice to have US LTE and Phone working...
What network are you using, can check what Bands they are using?

I'm on AT&T, I already know the international LTE phones won't work on the AT&T LTE Bands. I'll just have to live with HSPA+
So you would be getting a T707A if you got the AT&T specific one. or a T705 for the international.
There are no T707A custom ROMs, only for rooting. I guess it will not have phone software Regardless of the version of software on samfirmware.
T705 will do 3G nicely, where I live I get HSPA+ and its quick - only get 4G in town.

Pretty much what I figured, I will just get the T705 international one and just live with HSPA+
From what I can tell all the T705 are snapdragon 800's, That Amazon link doesn't say what CPU it has. I'm pretty sure i'd rather have the snapdragon over the Exynos as the GPU appears to be way faster.
I think you will find the T705 is an exynos. Dont be fooled as with the intel modem they put exynos in their 4G versions.

Hmmm, Exynos CPU seems fast enough, its the GPU I keep hearing is severely lacking with such a high resolution.....
I haven't had issues myself - I have found it fast. Especially if you disable any crap that comes with it you don't need.

Ok, good to hear. It will get rooted pretty quickly and I will remove as much junk as I can...
