Real Smooth Rom Buddy !
Your Rom Is Way Smooth And Fast Than Lollipop Builds.
It's Still Long Way For Lollipop To Be In Track With Kitkat For This Device.

Yup thats why im solid on using this instead of Lollipop, even with Xposed & GB its slick as butter
Once CM12 is stable i can optimize that aswell and make it as smooth as kk, you will see a difference...

Hi,
As I see this rom is based on stock 21.85.14, basically with those tweaks:
- Rooted and busybox
- Debloated
- Pinkman Kernel
- Adrenaline boost
Am I right?

Your 10% right, i spent almost 3 weeks optimizing every single apk, go and look at a stock roms /system/app folder and compare to this roms /system/app, compare apk sizes and stuff inside, you will see a difference, and if that dosnt prove it, use stock 21.85.14 with everything wiped, then use this ROM even without Pinkman kernel and without it being debloated, you will notice a performance improvement,
how does it twerk?
moto g (2014) has low end flash storage, not so good r/w speeds, so i/o gets congested and things usually get queued, thats when you notice hangs when opening an app, my optimizations reduce app size and compress's everything in return for the cpu having to do more uncompression work, however our cpu is quad core, so there enough threads to handle the decompression, so this works quite well especially on our device since it has a decent cpu but bad flash storage,

Sorry if I sounded like ungrateful jerk, it was not my intention, I was asking that because I am using the 21.85.14 build debloated by myself, with a little tweak on lowmemorykiller.c and furnace kernel, so I wanted to know if it was something else.
Now I know it is more polished than mine, I'll try it asap.
Thanks and sorry if I sound rude.

haha dont worry bro, , im open minded usually, i was just drawing up a graph anyway, i like predicted i would get criticism cause at first sight it does look simple but its pretty complex, i hope it works good on your device and ive attached a graph for future-readers to see so i dont have to explain (i cracked out my super art skills for this lol)
*this is theory, not sure if android works this way, but this is the most plausible thing i know about it*

will you be supporting the 1064 cause this looks to be a fabulous ROM?

Thanks for your hard work. I'm running your rom now and testing. So far it's really really fast and smooth. Thanks a lot.

xt1069 support please?

Are you planning on fixing the ram management bug in your next build?

Well um thing is the optimizations are alot of hard work xD i can work on xt1063 & xt1064 but it would take along time + i would prefer if someone could come up with a flashable mod (which removes xt1068 stuff and replaces with xt1063 stuff and then i can optimize that)

maybe yes, i will in a future build, v1.0 is a fully stable build essentially i will remove moto migrate and then fix the ram, but afaik from using it, the ram seems to be fine, im browsing on xda fine with 4-5 tabs and listening to tunein radio so it seems alright (btw chrome is amazing with the compression optimizations)

The ramscript i used was Juwe11's.
Flash the attached zip - should fix the ram management, if its not working so well, go to /system/etc/init.d and delete 97ramscript
pls report back on findings...

UPDATED 2/1/2011 [ROM] [Sense 2.2.1 Froyo] ChocolateFroyo v1.0-rel2 - Go Sense

THIS ROM IS NOT SUPPORTED ANYMORE FOR AN UNDETERMINED PERIOD OF TIME.
This is a 2.2 Sense ROM. Unfortunately, it still has two bugs, but even so it is usable, stable and fast.
ATTENTION! For those who already have 1.0-rel1 flashed, make sure you backup your data because flashing the ROM will wipe data even if you don't do it from recovery.
Note: There will be no other update until the Camera is fixed. Also, don't expect any updates in the next 1-2 weeks.
See post #2 for changelog and critical information.

What does not work:
- Camera
- Bluetooth audio WITH SOME DEVICES
Just so you know, I'm working hard to fix those issues, so don't panic, this will be updated soon. You might help me find other bugs if you test it. I can guarantee that if you don't need the camera, this ROM can work as an everyday ROM just fine.
What works:
- flash 10
- EXT-A2SD
- Calls, SMS, MMS
- Internet 2G/3G
- WiFi
- GPS/AGPS
- OpenGL
- lights
- accelerometer, sensors
- wired/wireless tethering
... everything else
+ Teeter - I've packed it so you can have a bit of fun?
Instructions:
Flash it and make a cup of coffee because the first boot takes AGES. Don't panic, it will eventually start ).
The custom kernel included is compiled from Erasmux's FlyKernel 12a. I've just enabled my dual-governor configuration and made the changes required by that. Nothing much, so credits to him.
Credits also go to the CDMA Hero devs which made this in the first place.
ChocolateFroyo 1.0-rel2(multiupload)
MD5: d08fb202c3bde7fd5bfb4751bd961fed
READ!!!
1.0-rel2
- fixed lights
- cleaned system - boots faster, runs smoother
- adjusted dalvik heapsize
- added custom kernel with dual-governor configuration(read below for more info)
1.0-rel1
Initial release
About the Dual-Governor configuration:
The default settings are: 352/691 ondemand screenon, 176/352 conservative screen off. This way the battery is conserved while the performance is at its best when you need it. If your phone can't run @691MHz, all you have to do is download the attached file, unzip it, and edit it as following:
echo 691200 > /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_max_freq
Click to collapse
This line tells the kernel what's the max frequency when the screen is on. Here you can edit with one of the following values:
518400
576000
614400
633600
652800
672000
691200
Click to collapse
After you edit it accordingly, save it and push the file to /system/etc/init.d:
adb remount
adb push 90governor /system/etc/init.d
adb reboot
Click to collapse
Now you're good to go!
F**k yeah!
Please man, try to fix the camera
That's what I'm doing, don't panic.
No problem m8 , I won't
Could you guys post linpack and neocore results?
Does the old style Apps2SD work in this (the one with an EXT partition)?
No, it does not, even though I've included it.
What a pity Is there a way to fix it?
Go for it RaduG!
Running CE 2.0 for ages!
Thanks.
you're a good guy Radu, I'm so happy to see you back to work on the hero
This will be a lot of fun!

BT audio works on Sengle, if that helps you somehow.
About the camera I really have no ideas, to solve it on ASOP/CM they needed to backport the camera interface from eclair - something you can't do on Sense cause you don't have sources. This is what made me give up.
I really hope you can get this working, because I think no one else is working on these issues.
Good luck.
Thanks for the A2DP tip
As for the camera, I've got to the point where the image is clear, but it does not refresh(although it doesn't behave like that with the uploaded version). So I'm pretty confident that with a bit of work I will fix it eventually.
I hope you don't mind that I'm using your kernel.

Is there a difference between this rom and these: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=838730
I guess yes , but what makes this rom different?
Is this ROM Legend port?
Aw, crap. I just posted how stable and good (perfect) Floyo 1.2.0 was and now you went and released yours, lol.
Back-up and here I come.
I'm going to backup to my sd card and save it and start fresh with a new card. Hopefully that way I can restore quicker and without any hicups.
Thanks RaduG
@GZFan
I don't know how that ROM works, but from the description I can tell you that the GPS is not working there. Otherwise I have no idea, as I haven't tried it.
@tomekk_nt
It's an Aria/Legend/Hero hybrid.
Anyone can port sense hd from desire hd or it is impossible?

RaduG is building it, the man behind vanillaEclair 4 (still imho the most flawless and responsive rom for the hero, old though it may be), vanillaEclair 5 (newer sourcecode than ve4, better than the other roms based on those same sources, not quite as good as ve4 though on my particular phone), and chocolateEclair 2 (a wonderful 2.1 sense rom that many feel is best of breed on the hero). He knows how to assemble and mess with the code in hero android roms exceptionally well and has a longer success rate with single-handed rom creation on the gsm hero than anyone else that I'm aware of.
This is all just my personal opinion and experience; I don't actually know the guy (hey Radu ;-)
Aside from that, literal differences are that he's building it himself based on some cdma stuff so will be undoubtedly bringing in different sources, and probably difference bits of sense executable stuff, to try and get things like camera working. Oh yea, and as noted he's actually working on this rom actively where the rom you linked to was great but is now abandoned due to a feature implementation stalemate and work on other time-consuming exciting projects by the same developer.

[KERNEL][N5] FrancoKernel - r115 - 2nd November - Stock & Oreo

Hi all.
Compatibility:
It should work on any rom by following this logic:
Builds (starting with r65) are Android 5.0 Lollipop only.
Builds (starting with r72) are Android 5.1 Lollipop only.
Builds (starting with r76) are Android 6.0 Marshmallow only.
Builds (starting with r97) are also compatible with Android 7.0 Nougat and Android 7.1 Nougat .
Builds (starting with r114) are also compatible with Android 8.1.0 Oreo.
This does not work with "CAF" roms.
Download:
https://francokernel.app
Installation:
Flash the zip in your recovery
or
Auto-flash from Franco Kernel Updater app
Features:
1 - Legendary battery life
2 - Flash & forget
3 - Typical interfaces like display adjustments, sound control, vibration control, and all that boring stuff
4 - Idle power consumption reduced to the absolute minimum (if you have wakelocks from 3rd party apps you're obviously on your own)
5 - Support for FKUpdater's Performance Profiles
6 - Magical support, I'm here every day, checking posts almost hourly, ready to help anytime (well, unless you fail to read the OP, which contains most info you need)
7 - Seemless integration with my app FKUpdater
8 - No crap placebo patches, or "magical" optimizations
9 - Probably more, check my github for all the details - the code speaks for itself

Kernel Manager for Franco Kernel demo
Disclaimer to moderators:
Slight OT is fine, but when users decide to act stupid they should be dealt with with the appropriate means - its really annoying for me when OT turns crazy. Please put the warning/ban hammer anytime any of you think there's lack of respect and/or too much unwanted OT crap - but if it doesn't meet this criteria let the OT posts alone. Thank you.

Ahhh Franco, the king, the mighty one, the sexy little gnome.......
Glad you'll be working on the n5, mine arrives Monday. Will the app work with the n5 out of curiosity also will you be able to post the old version of the app with all the features? Or was that made redundant? I kinda went outta touch when there was 2 versions of the kernel on n4 and couldn't get either running

What do you mean old version of the app with all features? Those 2 Kernel versions were because stupid Google decided to derp AOSP and roms decided to go derp mode as well and either built stock JWR, or then hybrid, others went JSS... a mess.
App will go fully functional with the N5 as soon as I get the device on my hands and I get some quality time with it.

This is a slightly modified kernel based off of cm's new d851 kernel rebase: https://github.com/CyanogenMod/android_kernel_lge_g3/tree/cm-13.0
I wanted to build something that's basic and reliable. If you're looking for a highly modified kernel I recommend Eliminater74's Nebula Kernel: http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/development/kernel-nebulakernel-rev6-5-build20150715-t3161768
INSTALLATION
-------------------------
1. Make sure you know what your doing. If you're a noob then don't install this. I will not answer questions on how to install or fix your phone if you mess it up. Always backup first!
2. boot up into recovery.
3. flash the kernel zipped file.
4. Wipe cache.
5. Reboot.
EXP 03/09/2016 -
First EXP release:
based off of cm's latest d851 kernel
Optimized with -o3 and graphite
Compiled with 4.9 linaro a15 optimized toolchain

Good to see you expanding your horizons and delving into new challenges
If you guys use either kernel in any ROMs not listed just let me know and I'll add it to the compatibility list. If you're using the test kernel I just need to know if you get any kernel panics or boot loops. Thanks guys!

cm-Resurrection_Remix_LP_v5.3.1-20150122-d851.zip
Just installed stable and going to see what happens.
Stable is smooth and fast, great battery life.
Thanks to tootsiepop kernel and its author.
Currently running BlissPop 1/22 build with the experimental kernel. Flashed this morning before work so I haven't used my phone much since I flashed. I also have not had a chance to browse the thread regarding my issues. So for now....
First Impression - Smoooooth and quick just like Bliss should be.
Issue 1 - I had one kernel panic "BSOD" right before work. At the time I was playing with the Walkman music player port, which has been giving me issues. So it may have nothing to do with the ROM or kernel.
Issue 2 - my lg headset connects, but no music plays through the earphones.
Overall - VERY NICE WORK. No complaints at all, because I believe my issues are either my own fault or a CM issue.
Thanks for the upload aclegg
The stable and test kernel has been updated. Now on the test kernel we're testing the multirom patch. Remember to download the stable kernel in case the test kernel crashes!
I implemented the kexec patch in the new test build, but multirom says its not in the kernel. It could be because the kernel optimization levels are too high. Would you want to sacrifice smoothness for multirom support? I was able to get multirom working using a kitkat ROM as my primary with the skin kernel. And bliss pop is running with the speedy kernel as the second ROM just fine.

I'm might not support multirom. The whole point of this kernel is to increase optimization without losing stability. Stripping out the optimizations just to add multirom would contradict why I decided to work on this kernel to begin with.

Sorry guys, I have been thinking about this for a while and honestly I just do not have the time at the moment to maintain this Rom. I am however working on some other great things that will hopefully come soon. I had recently lost my job at DirecTV due to layoff's but I have a job offer as a Manager at Intel, so hope that works out. I applied at the FBI as well and they will hire me but due to surgery I could not pass the physical at the time. But with dedication I will get there. Please feel free to make changes or modify this rom in any way you'd like. Just shoot me a PM and ill host it for you. Thanks for your time, and thank you for your dedicated support. I appreciate all the kind words.

Bugs:
4/20/15 Build 1.5 has no weather widget. Currently being worked on.
Have noticed a bug when first launching and selecting wifi, says it fails to connect. But works fine, only time the message may appear is at initial boot
App preloader will run after reboot bringing back a lot of bloatware. Can be fixed by running root uninstaller manually but I am working on having this issue resolved in the next build, which should be in the afternoon 4/19
Also initial boot does take about 10 minutes to boot. Remember to wipe then flash, I have not tried
to dirty flash the rom, but I wouldn't recommend it.

Want Xposed?
Read This First!!
I have included 2 links below on how to get Xposed frameworks to work with this ROM.
If you do not follow my simple instructions you will get a bootloop and we all know that blows.
#1 Do a Nandroid backup! Things can always go wrong, no matter how well you think they went
#2 Install the APK from REVO89
#3 Flash the Zip file contained in the first post of darkera13's thread.
#4 Install some dang packages! I have been Xposed all morning and running stable. No issues!

Thanks Guys!! Have FUN!!
Oh btw "Xposed Status Bar Mods" will give you 100% transparency on the status bar

I am downloading now, looks pretty interesting
Coming from the alliance ROM.
Is there 4 way reboot menu?
Do you have to be on BOB7 to flash this? Currently on NK2 ROM.

Currently there is not, sorry. I will add it soon however
Quick question, how is this ROM considered to be debloated? There's still a bunch of Sprint bloat (Music Plus, Family Locator, NASCAR, etc) that came with the flash, and more was put on there by the Amazon Preloader. Also there is still loads of Samsung bloat such as PEN.UP and the ANT+ Radio Service. I'm not flaming or anything at all. Did I do something wrong or misread somewhere?

I left Pen.Up just because I do like the Spen apps, ANT+ was left intentionally as well for sports bands and stuff. As far as the Sprint Bloat, that shouldn't be there. Did you perform a full wipe before installing? Also was it the newest version 1.1 that did it? I'll check it out more throughly in the morning, I could have just made an error when uploading this version

[Kernel] Kermit Kernel [AOSP]

I am not responsible for anything that happens to you or your phone or anything! You are allowed to use this kernel but It is not my fault in anyway for causing thermonuclear war or bricking your phone.
Welcome to Kermit Kernel.
Kermit Kernel is intended to be installed on AOSP and uses Anykernel2 to do so. I wanted to share my work with all of you and also provide a smooth, customisation experience for you. This project was inspired by kylothow's work on AOSP and Kernels and big thanks to him for helping me in the beginning!

I can take requests of course, don't be shy
I just want the kernel to be in favour of what seems good by users!
What is Anykernel?
You can skip this if you don't want to know how it works.
Kernels tend to have a fully built boot image ready, it just flashes everything and it may not PATCH the necassary files. This means you're gonna have to create a different boot image for different roms such S8 Ports, Note FE Ports and AOSP ROMS. Things such as compatibility maybe an issue also because new things may not be supported by old things (Newer RAMDISK on an older ROM).
That's when Anykernel comes into play. It only includes the zImage (actual prebuilt kernel), dtb (the instructions for hardware stuff), and patches used ontop of the stock ramdisk. It takes the previous/stock kernel, replaces dtb and zImage and then continues to patch the ramdisk. Voila, it's done. It makes it easier for the devs to work on the kernel and has better compatibility! It does come with it's disadvantages, It can't be flashed ontop of other custom kernels that have modifications in the ramdisk. The patch and ramdisk will cause some trouble because there interefering with each other alright!

How do I install this?
If you already have AOSP with it's stock kernel.
1) Reboot into recovery and flash it like normal
If you have AOSP with a custom kernel like PRIME, Prophecy or Primal.
1) Go to the AOSP ZIP you installed, extract boot.img from there.
2) Boot into recovery, flash the boot image. Don't forget to switch the option from ZIP to IMG if you can't find it in the directory you extracted it from.
3) Then go back to home screen in recovery, and go flash Excel Kernel
I really don't need to explain this in detail and such because if you got here it mean's you know how to install AOSP ROMS. It's pretty simple.

I'm very interested in using your kernel just wondering about the battery life and thermal issues. Whenever I play games it just heats up like crazy in aosp and battery life suffers coz of inefficiency. Just wondering if you've fixed these issues.
In AOSP, those issues are not gonna dissappear but you should see a notable difference. Theres things like hero-common and such I cant fix.

I'll be trying out your kernel tonight
Ayy
Omg....Thermal issue has been pretty much fixed 0.0 however using stock settings did cause system shutdown when running geekbench. Needed to under clocked it significantly but it's so early so its amazing. Will use it the next couple of days and test for battery life
Alright, if you could tell me any sorta info related to the crash i can attempt to fix it

Its alright, ill try recreating your scenario.
a few Misc questions
Hello,
What is typical battery life by default for the Kermit Kernel?
I'm not a gamer so don't do overclocking or highly intense graphics, for me good battery is essential, is there ways I can increase battery longevity?
Does the Kermit Kernel support fast charging by default or must it be enabled?
Does Kermit have support for VoLTE/HD voice and Wifi calling by default or can that be compiled in?
Lastly, does Kermit Kernel have support by default for the doubletap 2 wake feature (originally pioneered by the LG phones, the G2 I believe was first), or can it be compiled in?
Thanks.
Dave.
Hi,
First of great work! I'll be installing the kernel any minute now. I also wonder if it's possible to DT2W in the kernel. Have tried it myself but got lost fairly quick...
Keep up the good work!
Jules.
dt2w?
Hi,
I'd like to know how you atempted dt2w and where you got stuck?
DM me if you want.
What is the current status of kermit?
Thanks.
Dave.
It's in haitus
Phone dies for no apparent reason, usually twice a day. It's completely dead. I have to plug it in for the phone to respond and then I can turn it back on. Phone can be on 100% and be doing the easiest of tasks, and it will happen. Any help is appreciated.
