Did the flash make it to the end with no errors? Which firmware are you trying to flash? You should probably add a bit more info then just "Xperia play cannot boot up"

If flashing the rom doesn't work I'm not sure.... try this tho just in case, pull out the battery, re insert it, DON'T POWER ON, HOLD the BACK button, then plug in the usb cord. This may resolve your problem....

Press and hold the volume up + power combination until you get 3 vibrations. Then try connecting your phone in flash mode and flash the latest firmware using Flashtool.

Can you please describe the problem in detail? If you're having driver problems, then go to the drivers directory in Flashtool's folder and open the driver installation exe file and install the drivers for xperia s.

Is your boot loader unlocked? If yes, then you should be able to connect your phone in fastboot and flash a custom kernel so that you can access cwm and flash a rom from your internal storage.
If your boot loader isn't unlocked, then download Sony's official software called Sony Update Service and do a re-install of the phone's software. Installing SUS should take care of all the driver problems too.
