Typo...Thanks for catching that...I was using the template Slim gave me

OH YES! Slim Roms are some of my favourite roms. Fantastic!

DL link live...enjoy....remember to red the bugs/issues...This ROM isn't daily-driver material yet

Wicked.. Looking forward to trying this once it has had some more development

Is it a Moto G 1st Generation Rom .......That Is Ported

Sweet, SlimLP is one of my favourite ROM series thanks for this Shawn! Will test in the following days ahead...
Sent from my XT1068

Haha well it booted and it's super snappy, much more so than QuantumLP, but that's about it. Super excited for when it will be daily driver material
Sent from my Moto G 2014 using XDA Free mobile app

Shawn... You should better focus in your other ROMs that you manage, and better dont make any promises like that you will upload another built today. You are a good developer. And hope to see more updates

Please go through the ROM build up process in your mind, if you know how a ROM is built.
With that in mind, don't Tell a Developer what they should and what they shouldn't do, because, what users see is the end result that's it. Debugging ROM's, when sources are buggy is time consuming. And these new ROM's bring new features, the features aren't just lying in AOSP.
Respect Development and Developer's and most importantly have patience.

Guys, if you think a ROM is not complete, but the dev is no longer maintaining it, you have only one choice left: complete it yourself. The developers have no obligation to you whatsoever. Remember, you're not paying them (and donations do not count as payment, it only shows that you value the dev's work).
That being said:
---> thread cleaned
Let's move on, please

Just out of curiousity, what makes it so difficult to develop for the TF300TG?
Are the RIL libraries that Asus uses so different from other Smartphones? Or are there no sources available for the hardware bits that provide the phone/3G capabilities?
Not trying to talk you down, just being curious!

Hi !
Nop is not difficult ....but where is "Transformer TF300TG Android Development" or General specific section ? - as you know also Asus has a separate section for TF300T , TF300TG and TF300TL !
- unfortunately I think any developer not had this device ... for me is not hard to work also for TG version , but is not the same source as TF300T , and I also started working on the new model Archos Gen10 ! - So, honestly - believe me, I would not have time
Good luck ! :good:
Is the youtube issue being looked at?
Its not listed on the bugs list.

Wow, I did not know that SlimLP have layers and it is great to know. I'm certainly going to try now!
--
Unfortunately the layers I use had some issues on this SlimLP
The most specific problem is applying a Settings overlay, where the dark/inverted background is not applied. I only use dark overlays, so I'm not sure if lighter ones works fine.

It was still a good test for me, it was really interesting to know that a ROM for our device has Layers support.
I hope really OP can continue supporting this ROM and eventually improve the layers support! Layers is a really nice theme tool/feature and a lot of good work is coming out on the G+ layers community.
Taking this aside, it is really great to see one more great ROM here. A lot of good works are appearing lately for this device, it is a really exciting moment for the ones who like custom ROMs (at least is what I think).

In all seriousness, this update might just be some sort of security fixes, bug fixes, or whatever, im not sure, but dev's want to focus on getting things stable then adding features in + layers support has got me to download this and prep it for a flash

I don't think you will have much success on features request here.
This is a official ParanoidAndroid ROM, so the only features you will get are the ones added by ParanoidAndroid team for the ROM built for all devices they maintain.
Of course, I can't be 100% sure about that, it is a guess from my side. The only ones that can confirm are Thecrazyskull and DC07.

Yes your correct. There are two divisions of Paranoid Android...Legacy and Official. Legacy is all the non-Nexus devices. So titan is part of the Legacy category. In that category there are two sub-divisions: maintainers and "the core team". Maintainers mainly build for their specific device and maintain the device specific code such as the device tree, vendor tree, and kernel source. They also work to fix device specific bugs. Though maintainers have NO control over the AOSPA-L source. The source is coded by "the core-team". So features requests are useless unless u report directly to the AOSPA-L gerrit. I know this because I maintain AOSPA-L for bacon

Well with gerrit everyone can submit features and contribute to the code so its not only the core team.
And if you want a feature you will have to do it on your own and when all is fine you can submit to gerrit and then the core team can decide if they want that feature to be in their official builds by merging it
Is it a bug or a feature (and if so, is there a setting to turn it off? because I can't find it) that when the phone is locked and the screen locked, I can still change the volume of the ringer with the volume buttons? I keep accidentally silencing my phone....

No it won't, flashing a custom rom (as in AOSP or CM i mean) requires an unlocked bootloader.
Btw many thanks BlackJubel, I was eagerly waiting for someone to do this, Slim has been my favorite rom for years !!
Don't forget to have a look here to get help if needed :

Changelog from the first post is not the good one.
It points to SlimLP, which is Android 5.0...
At the moment, Slim6 is pure AOSP, no addition so far, the "team" just got back together and try to get up to date with AOSP before adding options.
To be more clear, except the logo and the Rom, everything is wrong in the OP...
All links point to the old site which is not used anymore, and to the wrong branch on github (LP 5.1 instead of mm 6.0).
Even the Rom description is not accurate since it says slimLP.
Not changelog for Slim6.0.1
If they know where frog please post .

@Blackjubel : would you mind sharing your manifest ? I'd like to try and build Slim6 myself.
Thx.

Yeah thanks but I meant your local manifest, the one you use to build the rom, which includes refs to kernel and trees, because the one on slim github by itself is not enough to build the rom for LG G4...
New builds up....
I use of CM device .

Thanks once again, but I already know this.
I'm just asking you to share your local manifest if possible, so it spares me the headhache of creating it myself...
Thanks a lot for this. Slim was always my favourite and i was really happy to see it here. Hope you wont discontinue this project.

CarbonROM is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. We are dedicated to fast, stable, and feature-filled roms, honesty and communication with our users, and openness with our code. We like frequent builds, with the very latest and greatest hardware support and fixes. We strive to not only provide you with the best rom we can build, but also to give back to the Android community and our fellow developers. For us, this is about creating something we can be proud of and hope you will enjoy.
Please feel free to look, build, and use our code at CarbonROM's GitHub... and at CarbonROM Gerrit.
Disclaimer:
While we make every effort to test these builds as much as possible, we are not responsible for anything that may happen to your device, family, pets, or perception of reality. We ask that you do your part to know your device and know how to recover from problems before you flash!
Support:
We spend an astonishing amount of time developing this software. We can't spend much time on XDA as a result, so if you need support, please try the following:
1) Search. Search, search, search. Yes, you. I don't care how unique or important your question is, it's very likely someone has adressed it already. Especially if you're even close to new at this.
2) Read our FAQ, which can be found on our website. Carbon FAQ
3) Ask a question in your device forum. Someone will no doubt try to help you. Warning: this help may come in the form of telling you it's a dumb question that has been asked before. See step 1 - such are the perils of asking questions when you haven't done the research yourself. Android is about helping yourself.
4) Join our Discord server! There, you can connect with other Carbon users and our developers, and you can get quicker responses to your bug reports. The invite link is right below.
We recommend MindTheGApps. OpenGApps should work, but please make sure you clearly mention the gapps you're using when reporting bugs.

Encryption: This device has full support for FBE encryption and I will only provide support for encrypted devices. If your device isn't encrypted, most likely the no-verity ZIP designed for OOS O will work for you, but if it doesn't - I can't fix or help that.
Firmware: Weekly build from April 5 requires ob7 firmware.
If updating from Nougat: Please back up your data off the device. Most likely you won't be able to upgrade directly from N. OnePlus used different encryption blobs in N vs O so for the best experience, I'd recommend you flash OOS and then flash Carbon. If you're already on O builds of another ROM that supports encryption, you should be fine not to go to OOS in between.
No support will be provided if you're flashing custom kernels, magisk, audio mods etc. If you experience issues, please eliminate those things first to make sure they aren't causing your issues.

My favorite is finally here! It's rock solid! My new daily driver! So far I haven't encountered any problems. :good: Thumbs up!
Thanks for the ROM it's very smooth!
Are you planning on adding back the wakelock blocking at the kernel level? I noticed it was present previously on adinkwok's thread but not in this build.
Either way very interested in the development and ethos of your builds so would greatly be interested in anything you have to share :good:
