Ok... But I found the widgets for clock on HTC hub.... Can u find the music and people widgets?
Are the widgets not available in the Personalise menu under "Widgets"?
All clearing Sense data does is make it forget your desktop settings. It shouldn't actually delete anything.
If you still can't find them and don't want to do a factory reset then try the following:
-Open the ROM zip file (the one you downloaded) on your PC with WinRAr or 7zip and grab the missing widgets from /system/app/
-Copy the missing apk files to SD card
-Download ES File Explorer on your phone from Market
-Open ES File Explorer, go to settings, enable Root Mode and also set system to writable
-Still in ES File Explorer, find the apk files from earlier
-Copy them from SD and then press the Star Icon to change to phone file system
-Now browse to /system/app/ and paste the files in there
-Long press on each individual app and change persmissions to the same as the other files in that folder
-Exit ES File Explorer
-Reboot phone
You can also do with this Root Explorer, although that's a paid app. ES File Explorer is free.
Hey I really didn't get you... From where do I copy those missing apks?
The clock widget gets installed automatically... I can't find the others...

[Q] system folder and lang cahnge in MIUI rom.

from the headline, where is it? am i blined?
anothre thing, where do i find the build.prop file in the system folder, so i can change the lang in my phone?
thanks for any help.
p.s
sorry for any english mistake-not my prime lang.
Hi
To view system folder u will need root explorer or similar file manager. Inside the system folder is build.prop
Ordinary file managers will only show SD content.prob why you can't see it, there is prob a free file manager also but I only use root explorer as I find it very good.
Hope that helps

i use ASTRO file manager. am i loking at the wrong place?
Astro only views SD card contents, you need one that will view phone file s
The system folder is on ur phone not SD
Download file expert from market that's free
Open it ,on local tab just press back arrow in top right corner, then click the back slash this will bring you too all files.
Then click system
Hope that helps

you are great! works fine.
how can i replace it with another build.prop file from my PC?
Not sure from PC assume it would be thru adb but I don't no much about it
U can do it manual just put it on ur SD then copy and paste it to ur system folder ,make sure permissions match the original
Try root browser lite its free and works much better than file expert allows copy paste moving and permission changes.
Long press on files for all options

[Q] annoying start up tune

how can i stop the annoying start up tune. have searched but can't find anything for wfs.
root your phone and delete /system/customize/resource/android_audio.mp3
if your phone is not rooted, try Silent boot from android market.
and if it is rooted, then make a silent .wav file in your pc, copy it to your phone sd card, then use root explorer and replace the file found in system/etc with the one you have in your sd card. should work.
ps: don't forget to hit 'mount R/W' button placed on top, inside the root explorer app before you copy.

Also, if you decide to soff your phone, and it is CDMA I have some great roms you can use. They are way better than stock firmwares, in a features and useabilty standpoint

file explorer capabilities renounced. renamed to root browser.

I am wondering if anyone else has noticed what I have come across. I use esf file explorer. In the past with custom ROMs you could easily direct into system/apps and delete or add which app you choose. But now it does not seem possible. You try to delete and at first it will confirm but the app will remain. On second attempt you will be prompt that this command has failed. Installing a new system app after giving permissions will give the same result.
I'm wondering if the developers have add some security so to stop us users altering there ROMs to suite yourself.
To me this is not open source any more and being given root access will need renamed to root browser. This isn't cool and is an obvious step in the direction of closed source.
I am currently trying renovate final 1.1. And Cyanogenmod on my nexus 7. Hopefully its jusr esf file explorers capabilities have renounced. But i suspect not. Are others having the same problem with custom ROMs.
Did you enable root acces in the settings of es file Explorer and also enabled the system partition as read and write ?

To gain access to system/apps you must enable root. Not sure what you mean by sytem partition as read and write. If its mount file system as read and write. Yes.
When you open es file Explorer and go to settings you enabled the root acces feature. But you you also need to enable the system partition to read and write
The picture is in Dutch .....But you need to enable the top 3 functions

sorry for trying to help.....
I'm using es file explorer with viperx ROM and I have no problems uninstalling or installing system apps. Have you tried uninstalling es file explorer and then reinstalling it or at least clearing its cache?

Thx I'll try viperx. See if that's still open. I can tell you CyanogenMod and Renovate are not. At least not on my devices.

[Q] Can't edit system files .

I'm using ARHD 19.2 with Solid Explorer . I can't mount r/w using Solid Explorer . I tried Root Explorer , mounted as r/w , edited the file's permission to rw-rw-rw and edited the files inside . After reboot , it all just resets back to default . Any help ?
What files are you trying to edit? For files inside /sys directory you should make an init.d script
