[Q] Headphones included? - One (M9) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I watched a few unboxing videos of the HTC One M9 and I noticed that the unlocked version inlcudes HTC headphones in the box, but from what I've seen, the carrier versions don't include them. Can anyone confirm or deny this?

I do have the one m9 from o2 Germany in gunmetal grey (cid o2___102)
There are headphones included

They were included in my box from Telstra in Australia, the same awesome free earphones that I use everyday. Still using my M8 ones

Maybe the U.S. carrier phones got gypped? The AT&T unboxing video I saw didn't have them. Fortunately though, I'm going to buy an international unlocked version so I don't have to deal with all of the crapware the carriers put on the phones (and slow updates as well). I made that mistake with my Galaxy S4 (which I loathe...) and won't be making that mistake again. Does anyone know the benefit of buying an unlocked M9 over the developer one? Many people don't feel a need to unlock the bootloader on their phone but if they ever want to, it's nice to have one already unlocked. I'm assuming that the warranty covers both anyway.

Got my M9 yesterday from a Caphone Warehouse in UK and the box included the headphones

Got mine from AT&T yesterday w/ no headphones.

Did it come with a regular charger or a Quick Charge 2.0 charger?

No headphones with my T-Mobile version. Regular charger.

That's a bummer. It's odd that the U.S. carrier versions don't include them...

Htc one x sim free/pay as you go

I want to get a one x so I am wondering if any of you guys got the one x on pay as you go or sim free and what price? I was going to get it from three but I didn't want to pay the £15 pay as you go sim as I am on a monthly contract with them.
Available here for £430 on T-mobile PAYG from mobiles phone direct, but I believe all phones are actually sim free and unbranded.
Plus £5 quidco available, making it £425.

I saw that but I'm not sure about the site. Mixed reviews.
I got a phone from them a while ago, seemed OK to me...think it's owned by CPW

I tried to ask them through live chat, they told me is branded with T-mobile and sim locked....
But some people said they won't locked.
You can have a go....
I shall have a look there.

They just emailed me back saying it will come branded
Pretty sure it was Dial-A-Phone I used last time and as they're CPW it was a SIM-free handset with the SIM card thrown in
It may be

I considered this one but think the Kidigi:

Ordered one the other day, should arrive on the same day my HOX goes back for repair. Decided on this as it claimed to be vibration free but we will see when I get my HOX back :fingers-crossed:
Have to agree - just received mine from Expansys (sent from France strangely enough).
Sturdy, reasonably vibration free, phones fits with or without case (removable insert).
That plus a usb charging port and HTC Sense car app launching automatically = win.
I'm using this also. Working as a charm, no problems.
When JB will come out to HOX, maybe we will have audio out on usb, so it will be just one fast move - phone in dock and we have charging, audio on speakers, and phone safetly placed on dashboard...
It's nice, kind of expensive though...doesn't come with the charger either.

does car dock come on with any usb cable or does it have to be certain type ?
I ordered the original one being sold by HTC through att. Former doesn't get better and it's the most premium looking one I've seen.

I got this case, but haven't used it yet. What is preventing me from using it is the fact that despite being advertised as being able to fit most cases, it doesn't fit my Ballistic case.
How is it better than anything from Brodit;

External battery charger adapter in UK

Hi, I have a great external battery pack, a Tecknet IEP390. It's rated at 11000 mAh so should be able to pretty much charge the Note 10.1 from flat.
I realise that I need an adapter to make this happen as the battery only outputs 5v at 1A. Would anyone be able to point me in the right direction as I've been searching for ages with no luck? Would need to be a UK supplier.
Thanks.

I have searched and not found a single UK based seller selling those, lots of them from HK etc.
I use an IMP70D from here: http://www.amazon.co.uk/IMP70D-External-Sensation-Thunderbolt-Blackberry/dp/B004UN3N0W and can check it it charges the Note without an adapter as it has a 2.1A output.
Thanks very much for looking. I didn't really want to run to the expense of another charger (but I'll look at this one if I do).
Just so I know what I'm looking at could you point me at one of the HK sellers' adapters please? Ordered one and want to check I've got the right idea. Cheers.

Did you read the rest of the thread? You also need the adapter as Samsung has a special pin layout that prevents any non-Samsung chargers from charging the Tab/ Note.

Enable all bands for AT&T

I have an unlocked T-Mo M8 on AT&T, and am missing bands needed by AT&T.
What I have done:
Tried all the radios
Loaded the AT&T RUU
I am still on UMTS when my S4 would be on LTE
I'm at a loss, is there anyway to enable the hidden bands?
Any ideas?
The bands aren't hidden. They aren't there.

Maybe that's true but I can't help but think that they are. With the AT&T M7, they issued an update to add some bands. The hardware HAS to be identical between all M8's
So far all reviews have said the T-Mobile version is missing bands 2, 5 and 7. And it also doesn't have qualcomm's antenna tuner. That right there probably was the nail in the coffin.

Thanks for the info. Guess I'm just stuck having spotty LTE.
I wouldn't totally give up, but as said before and the fact T-Mobile skimped out on the case and headphones in the box and the antenna tuner doesn't bode well for a 'fix'. It was probably a cost cutting move.

The only available quick charger we have in my country is the Samsung Quick charger, so I want to know if I get one or order another brand from Amazon?

Nice to hear
I will get one from my usual shop, and a car quick charger from amazon
I'm using my gs3 cables with my qc2.0 car charger and my nexus 6 charger working great so far
I purchased a Samsung Adaptive Fast Charger from a seller on eBay, who advertised it was compatible with the M9. I tried it with 3 different outlets, and it charges painfully slowly at about 10% per hour. I thought it should work, because I have an Aukey quick charger for the car that works quite well. It charges at about 1% per minute, which is pretty good for a USB car charger.
On a side note, the seller offered me an exchange or refund within minutes of emailing them about the issue.
