[Q] Day planner full screen thing on wake-up

I am not sure what it is called, but when I wake my tablet, it shows this full screen calendar/day planner thing. The top half is a calender page, the bottom half is a blank scribble pad.
What is this thing called and is there a way to turn it off?

Disable Kikin

Anyone know how to disable the Kikin search thing, very annoying when trying to cut/copy txt from emails etc. The screen moves and it takes up most of the display.

I agree Kikin is very annoying but thankfully you can turn it off. If you go to settings then apps you can select Kikin and disable it.

Ive just tried it on song pop and it doesnt turn the screen off....I believe it needs to be on a blank part of the homescreen or on the notification bar area at the top of the screen
Do you have clash of clans game? Can you try to double click inside it?

Knock off only works on the home screen (and the status bar). It would be quite silly otherwise since you wouldn't be able to double tap to zoom etc.

I can also see it turning the screen off when using your keyboard lol. It definitely sounds like a nice feature - especially considering the buttons are on the back. It would be annoying to have to pick your phone up off of a table or desk to turn the screen on sometimes.

Turn off knock on?

Hi guys, does anyone know how to turn off knock on on the G3? Tried looking for it in gestures settings like in the G2 but can't seem to find it. The g3 keeps waking while in my pocket making it feels constantly warm. Anyone else experiencing this? I don't mind just using the button at the back to wake it. The placement for the button is quite comfortable actually.
I'm sorry to hear this is a problem on the g3, I have this problem on the double tap to wake code on my Nexus 5 and so I just turned it off. I know for the galaxy 2, sorry g2, voice dictation, they released firmware fix for this I think

Can you tell me how you did the wake code on the nexus 5?
And to the op, isn't there a setting in the screen gestures section of the phone to turn it off?
You can turn it off in the hidden system settings menu
Dial 3845#*855# to access it.

It is the very last setting in the list, just scroll all the way down to the bottom.
If you have the Korean model replace the 855 with 400
I turned this feature off as it will save battery life too as it needs to keep the screen driver awake happy using the back button.

855 opens my hidden menu. But I still can figure out which option to choose after scrolling down to the bottom. The screen shot shows my menu. Could u let me know which option should I be disabling?

we don't have that functionality by default, it's patched into custom kernels and eats 2-3% battery per hour (another reason I turn it off)
Just so you know, I had issues with Knock On unlocking my phone in my pocket so I turned it upside down and the issue is 100% gone !
I think it's due to the light sensor not being 100% in the dark then the taps on the lap unlocked the phone. When it's upside down the light sensor is kept in the dark
I just can't find that setting... Ive looked everywhere. My phone is rooted with towelroot. Is that the problem?

Is it really the light sensor? I think the proximity sensor would make more sense in this case! Otherwise you wouldn't be able to use the knock on feature in the darkness...
Screen wakes in my pocket whichever way up I put it in and I don't want to have the screen face outwards. This is very annoying and didn't happen on my G2 - The screen is clearly very sensitive. I don't want to turn off knock on and I don't really like knock code.

Same here. Upside up or Upside down makes no difference for me. Display from body away seems to be the only real solution...
Looks like a few of u are experiencing the same problem. I have been facing the screen away from me as a solution but it feels so awkward when I m so used to have the screen face in. And I can't find the hidden settings to turn knock on off. They really hid very well I guess.

Any way to turn off wrist rotation to wake device?

Just like the thread title stated... Is there any way to turn off wrist rotation that causes the device to wake? I have found this is why the device, or so I thought would randomly wake. I have everything off: wrist gestures, always-on screen, touch to wake, and wifi all set to OFF. Thanks in advance.

Try this - it seemed to work for me. Start Android wear on your phone. Go to settings->Huawei Watch>Tilt to Wake screen and turn it off

Ha I didnt realize I could click on the Huawei part of the app.. Thought it was a option to select another device... Thanks man
Is there anyway to stop the watch from displaying a full on detailed notification? Dont get me wrong I would like to know I have received something but if I get a text or email to just say hey u got a email and 3 texts... Not from Joe schmo and susie and a email from a banker about a million dollars. Something generic would be great.

Install Huawei Health app, and you can perform the setting from there.
