[Q] Change navigation bar icons in the Theme app? - One (M9) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi guys, I've been trying to figure out how to change the icon of the navbar for a few days now, still have no clue. It would be nice to have the Stock Android look like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
I see some theme on the market which have the navbar icons changed, so I assume that it is possible to some options (which I don't know about) in the Theme app to do that without rooting my M9, right?
Thanks in advance

Create a Theme here under Maker Pro
That allows you to change all icons and navbar stuff. I think it does anyway.

Yeah I tried it a few days ago, it does let you change icons of a lots of popular apps, but I don't see any option for the navbar whatsoever

You have to use the pro -themer on the page.
Then nav icons and the clock widget have their own steps in the process.
Now... if someone can tell me how to hack the google icons inn instead of the choices htc give me... (they have one that is similar to stock but square is home and two circles indicate the task switcher. (and there is an ugly line on the back key))

i still can't find it

Need Help with DIY-theme (Good in Red for CM6)

I have been working through the night and all weekend so far to learn how to make my own theme based off of CM6 Nightly builds, but I need some help. I made some changes but can't find where these might be found.
I somehow made a change so that now the time and all notifications that appear at the top are in black letters. This also goes the same for the notifications that appear in the pull down menu. Anyone know what icon would be causing this? See pics below.
Also when I turn on the GPS and wifi, the gps and wifi icons doesn't appear at the top. Anyone know what icons I should be looking for?

"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Forgot to add: I give full credit to all those who came up with the Red themes that I pulled bits and pieces from. I used many sources that I can't remember their names now, but if they want me to specifically name them, let me know and I will.
Dude if you are working in from CM6 (an AOSP build) then the taskbar is white with black letters. Thats how it is by default. You just made the statusbar black, so now it doesn't show up very well (correct me if I am wrong).
Anyway, I believe there is an option in CM6 settings to change the color of text on the statusbar. Or, you can go into framework-res.apk/res/layout/statusbar.xml and change the hex code for the <TextView> elements.
Also, all the statusbar icons are in framework-res.apk/res/drawable-hdmi.

Set this image as the dock background:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
...and then set transparent shortcuts for the app drawer, phone, and settings on top of it.
You can use "Fancy Widget" as the clock, it's identical to the stock HTC clock.
You can also use Pure Messenger, Calender, and Music widgets with the Sense themes that come with them to replace the other HTC widgets.
I did change the system font, so the weather info on the clock will look a little different, but you get the idea.

Launcher Pro themes

Can someone help me figure out what I'm doing wrong? I DL a droid x themed launcher pro and installed it, it installed fine but the icons haven't changed. Any ideas?
If you long press an icon you can change the shortcut, the icon, or enable a swipe gesture.
Maybe the icons were put into a specific folder? Can you find them anywhere on your phone? or does the theme install guide clearly state that icons are changed automatically?
Is is for the full version only?
Launcher Pro Themes? Where?
I know ADW.Launcher has themes, didn't know Launcher Pro did..
I've figured out how to change the launcher pro dock icons now I need to know how to change all the others?

Here's one but if you search google you'll find more

When you look at an app in the market there is usually a link to the developer's website. Maybe you could get some advice or instructions at the LP site, or from the 50 or so developers selling their themes.
When you find out, could you post back here? I want to know too.

Nevermind about the launcher pro droid x theme I figured out a better way. First install this metamorph- http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=828623 -then launcher pro will already be themed. If not then I also downloaded this icon pack for droid x.- http://www.droidforums.net/forum/droid-x-general-discussions/74871-stock-droid-x-icon-pack.html - You can install the LP icons manually just put them in your DCIM folder. beware they take a while to show up.
google "dreamlyfe launcher pro" he charges like a dollar fifty but his dock themes are SICK

Custom (transparent) status bar running LeeDrOiD?

Running LeeDrOiD 6.2.0 and GO Launcher (other launchers have been tried), is there any way I can make the status bar transparent or even solid black as the gradient bar kind of ruins my theme at the moment.
All the theming/modding links here seem to say they mess about with systemUI.apk which could screw up the ROM.
Removed Sense when installing if that helps.

Would absolutely adore a fully transparent status bar.
Seems there's only 2 of us interested but can anyone help or put my mind at rest and say it can't be done?
You can try this, should only inject transparent statusbar into your SystemUI.
Dont know, if it works with another Launcher than Sense, so dont forget to make a Nandroid-Backup before flashing!!!
LG, Helmut
Thanks for the suggestion. This mod changes the status bar in apps and the lockscreen but not Go Launcher home screens.
Will keep searching...
O.K., then GoLauncher uses another statusbar-background.png than Sense (using the one in SystemUI)
Dont know how to change it in GoLauncher

let me see what i can do.....
no that hard to do
EDIT : upload me your go launcher.apk , because market is giving me french version only...
Just in case anyone is interested, at some point GO must have implemented custom status bar support and it can be found here;
Menu (from home screen) > Preferences > Advanced settings > Support transparent status bar
I'm now running ViperX but I'm sure this would work across the board as long as your ROM supports and gives the option to change status bar transparency.

Question A13: Themed icon option is missing?

Hi everyone,
for some reason I have no themed icon option in the settings.
I can only change wallpaper and system color.
Anyone has a fix for this?
Thanks!

You also don't have grid spacing. Just to be sure (I'm sure you have but good to check) you've scrolled the page down right?
The obvious covered, I'm stumped. If you go into card mode and click the app info bubble, it says 13 at the bottom?
Are you using a launcher? Many of them won't support the themed icons and the switch will disappear. There are a few ways around this though

I am using Nova Launcher. But I thought since the release of A13 stable it does not depend on the launcher anymore?
i got the same here.not a big deal for me,i use klwp.
thats only work with pixel launcher as standaard.
Pro tip: turn the themed icons on using the pixel launcher. Then switch to the launcher of your choice. The themed icon switch will disappear but the system will still theme them because it's still switched on. Even post reboot. Profit
