Now iam getting a pop up when the launcher starts saying activity launcher pro will expire in 5 days, now 2 days later its now down to 3 days. Has anyone else had this happen, and what happens when it expires? And how can I fox it. Thanks

When it expires, you'll be forced to update it. Kinda annoying, but it's doable. Best to just update it before it expires.

App Unauthorized Removal

Anyone have a purchased application get unauthorized removal from your system. I had MX Player Pro installed on my 3 android devices. Now it has disappeared from all my devices. Is this because I had it installed on more than device. I had it installed on 2 devices for years. Why would they do it now.

If you paid for it on all three devices then I don't see why it would be uninstalled. However is you only paid for it once then i can see where there would be an issue. the second issue is that the app is very intrusive if the owner can figure out how many devices of a certain costumer has it installed. I would never allow an app requiring that much access on any of my devices.

I finally found what was going oo. Until now I never used apps to sd. I purchased a new 64gb sdcard and copied the folders from the old sd to the computer. Then pasted back to the new sdcard. I did this on 2 different devices and got the same results. So now we have the reason for the disappearing apps.

[email protected] and the OnePlus 3- Anyone running into any issues?

Has anyone run across issues with the MobileIron SecureApps module not being found after previously working just fine on the most recent OxygenOS Beta 13?
Yes, Mine is constantly losing configs, saying its not registered but works again when a force check in is done.
You know how your work has the config set up? I just finished deploying for our work environment using android enterprise and it is working flawlessly with exception of a few add-on launchers. I run several different ROMs and it works on all of them.

I am not sure. Now that I am on OOS Beta 19 it only seems to happen much less frequently. I have found you can just go to the Secure Apps app, it will prompt you for your password, and that this is enough to get the other apps (Mail, Calendar, etc) to see the Secure Apps and allow login. My Help desk raised a ticket with MobileIron, who acknowledge that they are aware of the issue. Now that I know I can get access restored by logging into Secure Apps module, it is not a headache anymore.
Why do you use such piece of software on rooted devices?

I am not rooted. That is what the Secure App module checks.

So, mobile iron fixed this issue, I was reading through their android corner the other day. Should've posted the content here for you. When I get back to work tomorrow on Monday, I'll try and remember to post the fix.
It's pretty simple, just have to enable secureapps at startup, but can't remember where to do this.

From the Mobile Iron Support site:
Work Around
Enable Secure App Manager in App Auto-Launch.
On the One Plus device go to Settings > Apps
Click on Settings
Settings > Apps
Scroll down and click on App auto-launch
App auto-launch
Enable Secure App Manager
Enable Secure App Manager
Since I'm running AOSP, I'm not really running into any issues. I'm also using my device as a BYOD, but hopefully this helps.
I'm trying to install the [email protected] app on my device OnePlus 3 which is running on Oxygen OS 5 (Android 8.0.0), I'm getting similar error message. With Oxygen OS 5 there is no option to Enable Secure App Manager or modify App Auto Launch settings. What is the work around? Please help.

I checked the mobile iron forums and have not seen a work around for Oreo. Strange however, I have it installed and everything is running fine. Are you using the device in a BYOD environment or in a corporate owned state?
A lot of [email protected] has to do with the way it is set up (phone to server), so without knowing all of this information, I can't necessarily recommend any fixes.
Can you throw up some app settings and screen shots by chance? Please blur out any information before hand that is no one else should know.

How to prevent Android from killing apps?

So, I have this issue, where most of my apps can't stay in recent apps overnight. They all get killed, all but 5 I have noticed. I did the battery optimization thing for all apps I use on a daily basis. I have edited build.prop file and added sys.keep_app_1=com.whatsapp and so on for the rest of my apps. I also did that in the local.prop file. None of it worked. How to prevent my phone from killing apps overnight?

If you are rooted you might try the app LSpeed and use one of the build in RAM profiles.
I am rooted. OK, I will try it. Thanks. It shuts my app very VERY aggressively. For instance, I was watching some youtube video yesterday, and in the other app I was searching for some products and was going back and forth between YouTube and Google Chrome, and every couple of times it restarted YouTube app, even though I was using it 2 minutes ago.

Both youtube and chrome are resource hungry apps, that's why it keeps reloading.

Tried it already, didn't work. Try leaving 10-15 apps opened in the evening, and see in the morning if they are still in recent apps. And tell me tomorrow.

Well, then you probably need a custom rom. Android One is known to be optimized for dumping non needed tasks. You could try to disable battery optimizing for the apps you would like to stay alive.
Tried that too, didn't work.
My previous phone was 2Gb running android 6. Now i have a mi a2 life 4Gb and it is OK except for 2 games.
Apparently there's some AI that learns what you use but after many weeks no change.
Most apps open pretty fast. It's only these 2 games that I run daily. Annoying to have to wait for them especially since the old phone was able to keep them cached.
I tried the low-memory config (magisk module) but it didn't help. I guess android has changed its algorithm. I'm resigned to it.
It's insane. What's the point of having 4, 6, 8 or 10GB of ram if you can't use it?!
Connect it to a monitor, install Taskbar app and SecondScreen app, enable Freeform windows and turn your phone into a mediocre PC. Assuming you can get all the resources back from OS's hidden service threads of course.
Facing the same issue
facing same issue specially after android 10 update. Change apps back and forth even in recent apps menu kills the app. My phone is 4/64.

Android 10 has a known problem. Rebooting helps. For how long seems to vary. I get a week or so, some people only get a day.
I had the same problem when I was unrooted during the Android 10 update crash. After rooting and installing Lspeed again, Android is not killing apps anymore as I set these settings

Package Disabler Pro + (Samsung)

Has anyone used this app on their NOTE 10 to disable bloatware?
Really no need for apps like this when you can disable anything via adb without root.

Can't picture the use case, but no, need a PC to enable/disable.
I had to go to a different app CCSWE in app store.

Anyone plz let me know what to disable for security updates and things of that nature. Thanks
Package disabler pro works for me on my note 10. It's not available in the play store and hasnt been for some time. I purchased it directly from the dev site. Believe its 3.00 usd. Just installed it today and it works perfectly, even after the new software update
Devs behind Package Disabler Pro are scam artists. The apps work, but they are always deleting them then releasing a new version a few weeks later. Usually after a new phone comes out.
They've probably done this 5-6 times since I got the my first app from them. I asked them about giving me a license since I already paid, and they basically told me it's Samsung's fault it gets removed and I have to pay again to make up for the trouble.
Ha! No thanks.

Wait, so you need a PC in order to disable or enable an app through adb but yet you can't picture a use case for apps like package disabler pro?
What about apps you don't use often? Isn't it better to disable them until you need to use them so android don't have them running in the background for no reason?
So what if you're using a different launcher than the stock launcher wouldn't it make sense to disable stock launcher until you need it?
I can go on but the best part is that you don't need a PC to do it.

I don't think you even need package disabler for that, you can just go into developer options and disable auto update from there. Or in package disabler in system apps you should see one that is called "update" or something like that.

That's good to hear I bought it from the play store, not sure why I didn't just buy it from their website since Google or Samsung can't block that one.

Actually it's Samsung that requests that Google block the app in the playstore. They plainly tell you to buy it from their website because that way Samsung or Google can't block it. So instead of paying 5-6 times why didn't just buy it from their website once?

No need to get defensive. It is better to disable so android isn't running them in the background, I just can't think of an app I'd ever need to enable/disable on the fly. Certainly not the stock launcher, that can stay permanently disabled.

I guess you can't read...I only paid for it once, I said they've re-added it 5-6 times since I purchased it. I asked them for a license since I already paid for it once and they told me I had to rebuy it because of the trouble Samsung causes them.
If you read reviews about them, they are notorious for doing what I said. Not once did they ever tell me I could get the app directly from them by the way, it's always been to rebuy it from the app store. They don't list a website on the play store and the email address is where they told me to keep rebuying it in the play store
Not to mention, they always name it the same thing. I can't for a minute believe that google keeps allowing them to re-upload the app with the same name over and over again if Samsung is getting it removed. lol.
yes, let us just keep covering for shady companies who find a way to force additional sales of their product through "forced" rebuys.
Thanks that what I did. just to be safe I wanna disable the packages

Not defensive/aggressive in the slightest. It's just that I use it all the time and I disable pretty much every app I'm not currently using as in every app gets disabled until I need it, with a few exceptions. Android/Google/Samsung services are not killing my battery in the background. But to each his own.

Well apparently I can't read. But the first time Samsung disable their app and I contacted them they directed me to their website where I could get a proper version that won't get disabled.

So you are saying they also made you pay twice? I still wouldn't be happy with that. I paid for the license, it's not my fault Samsung got their app removed. I'd have to dig, but I have the emails where they told me I had to pay again because of Samsung causing them trouble. They could easily issue a code to let me claim the license I already paid for.
I don't think they really want website sales, but will take them as a last ditch effort. Can't claim Samsung made you delete it off your own website.
If they wanted the sales on their website, then they would have their website listed on google play. Then someone like me who searches for the app like today, where it doesn't exist again, could look at one of their other apps and find my way to buy it.
For what it's worth, they do the same thing with the LG version of the app. They delete it at least once a year then release it again. Not sure what excuse they use on that one.
Edit: I will give them one last chance, I sent them an email again to see if they would make good. See if things have changed.
How about a list of apps people have removed successfully without issues.

This is definitely true. I have been re-buying this app almost every time I get a new samsung phone (been upgrading every 6 months to S and Note series since the Note 5/7/S7 Edge, so that is at least 10 different devices. I am pretty sure I have re-bought it every time! However I have always used google opinion rewards money so it was basically free for me, now that they only sell the working version on their site I am done with them.
