[Q] Power supply to Headphones - Micromax Canvas A1

hey guys! just a month ago i bought sony mdr-xb450 Xtra bass headphones...and i own an android one... i used my headphones in iphone5 and was shocked to see a better performance and bass on them. i read somewhere that iphone provide more power supply to headphones than androids. so if it is the thing...is there any way i can provide more power supply to my headphones through my android one to get a better performance and quality of my headphones? i know developers and hackers will surely have something for it...after all its android..it can do anything

Help is right here!

I want thosetoo but i´d like to test them before not only to see if they work but also to test the sound quality
Beats are way overrated.
If you want great performance, try Sennheiser.

Totally agree!
With Beats its just marketing, like Apple..
There are way cheaper headphones than the "beats by dre", with equal (if not better) sound quality.
Personally I still use my Sony MDR-V700DJ. I have them for over 4 years and they are (and sound) as good as new.
http://www.amazon.com/Sony-MDR-V700DJ-DJ-Style-Monitor-Headphones/dp/B00001W0DH
One of my best buys so far. Of course there are plenty of headphones you can take a look at.
Personally, If I wanted to get new headphones right now, I would go for a pair of Klipsch. Amazing sound quality.
http://www.klipsch.com/headphone
+1 for Sennheiser.
I have the Sennheiser PX200-II and I'm pleased as punch with it.
Sennheiser rocks
I personally use the hd 595 and listening to hard rock with it is like going to heaven
Beats have good bass and the sound is not bad but it s more marketing than real quality

If you want a nice, quite cheap and a high quality sound, I would recommend Zagg Aquabuds. They are really nice and tangle free. If you would like to check go to http://www.zagg.com/

Hi Mufam,
I have them since last year and beats worked perfect for me. I recommend you that if you buy them, also install the beats manager on your arc, then you can enjoy the music like you never did before

Sorry to say this, but Beats manager is bull****. It is just regular DSP manager, made by CyanogenMod team, but with edited name and logo.

Dear, Mufam!
The Beats Tour headphone is not support by Arc S.
If you want the beats headphone you can't by the beats tour without control talk.
I'm using the beats tour without control talk + Arc S. I feel it's very great!

If the phones a Sony phone not Sony erricson then you can buy urbeats (not ibeats) they work on Sony phones nokia Samsung galaxy. They say made for htc but they use same headphone standard. Plus tested on these phones
Hope this helps
i used Tour with my Arc & xperia S. They ARE very good. yes overrated, but the fact is that the sound quality you receive are high quality & performance. You should buy them from best buy, try them on for 20 hrs (bass starts to kick in since you need to let it get those punch workin out)
if you like them keep, if not return them for refund and get yourself a other brand.
I have them, i like them. I used to hate Beats because its overpriced and overrated, but once you really try them, you gain that love on first sight or should i say first sound xD

[Q] How to have the best audio experience? Suggestions please..apps, tweaks

I need suggestions for the best audio experience on the Nexus 7. Apps, tweaks..
Quality headphones will do much more for you than some random arbitrary tweak or app

Download poweramp from the play store. My advice is go blow 100+ on some nice bose headphones. Bose also makes a amazing portable speaker that will make your n7 tunes shine.

If viper audio works on the N7 (I currently only use it on my S4) then that will do wonders for you.
prshosting.org
+1 on viper audio. flash and use some nice IRQ .
ViPER4Android is working great for me but unfortunately only with stock Google music player. The effects are very nice but maximum volume is still very lacking even with +6.0dB Gain compared to my iPhone 4 which has far better audio quality and way higher volume.
Faux Sound, perhaps, if you are rooted, with a rom that supports it.
Beats+xlouder! 4.4
I currently use Misledz BEATS+XLOUDER! 4.4 and a pair of beats Mixr's and the sound is amazing! I have tried Viper and it was also very good I just am a long time BEATS+XLOUDER! 4.4 user. I picked up my beats for $50 on ebay and while a lot of people don't care for them the mixr's are amazing. You can also pick up a pair of Audio Technica ath-M-50's used on ebay for the same price or about a $100 brand new great headphones. Read some reviews you won't be disappointed.

No still on 4.4 I didn't see anything significant in 4.4.1 or 4.4.2 to upgrade not to mention the fact that half my apps didn't work with the updates. I usually wait a little while to let everyone catch up. You are right though I should have mentioned it only works on 4.4. Does Viper work on 4.4.2? Best thing to do is try all of them out there is also Cyanogenmod DSP manager. Just know anything you try on XDA is a step up and the hard work of individuals and teams who make our devices great.

Sound quality / chip

Hey guys,
maybe some of u can help me.
Im interested in the sound/audio/music quality of the OP3 in compination with headphones.
I know the quality of a Samsung S2 and S4 (both not with Wolfson chip) and i know the S3 and S5 have a variety with a Wolfson chip (never heared them).
Many people say they can hear a different between them.
Maybe some of you know the difference between them and the OP3? Or can compare?
I think about buying a OP3 and i'm really interested in the sound quality with headphones.
Thanks for any answeres and sry for my english
My OnePlus 3 arrived today and I think the quality with headphones is good. Can't hear any difference between my old Nexus 5 and the OP3 both sound good
I doing the return process for that reason, tottally disapointed with the audio quality using headphones

I believe the audio solution is the same as for all SD820 processors. Built-in 24bit 96khz support. Nothing out of the ordinary and not high-end but good enough for Spotify Premium and stored Flacs etc.
For Premium Audio you are better off adding an outboard DAC such as from Audioquest (Dragonfly) or Meridian Explorer. Built-in ad-hoc sound processors are almost always a compromise.
A few manufacturer, LG and HTC spring to mind, have better, separate built in DAC's and amplifiers which may suit you better if you don't want to shell out for separate ones.
Having said all this, I use an S7Edge (Exynos version) which, like the Snapdragon uses propriatory decoding and I am happy with it for music on the move. (I also use a full Cyrus home system and Grado Headphones for indoor listening to give some perspective).
The headphone quality w/ Bose QC25 is good and a LOT better than the 6P (stock) in my opinion. It still doesn't beat the iPhone 6s+ in loudness and overall sound quality using Spotify or Apple Music. For most people it's good enough and for others Viper should help a ton but for audiophiles and stock out of the box, it's not going to cut it.

I read that in order to install Viper one has to:
"Setup your Device
For Samsung devices,
1. Try install V4A as user app instead of system app if the latter failed doesn’t work.
2. Use Normal Mode and select V4A FX in Settings>Sound>Music Effects.
3. If don’t work, use another player rather than Samsung stock Music player.
——————–
1. ROOT your device.
2. Install busybox if doesn’t come with root.
3. Modify build.prop (Thanks [email protected])
a. Open up /system/build.prop in text editor using any file explorer with root access.
b. Change the line (If you can’t find these lines, skip this step.)
– “Ipa.decode=true” to “lpa.decode=false”
– “tunnel.decode=true” to “tunnel.decode=false”
– “lpa.use-stagefright=true” to “lpa.use-stagefright=false”"
do you know of any other good app to improve the audio quality of the op3 not needing to the root trick?
I find op3 audio rather flat.
Thanks
Could somebody please check if the google play music app offers you the equalizer option in its settings menu? My LG G4 does not and it is one of the (many) things I hate about it
I'm getting really good and rich sound when I use my Sony headphones and when I hook it up to my car stereo it has better sound than my iPhone really impressed with the sound...

Viper is by far ur best bet. Using it myself and it improved the sound a lot. Everything else would just be an equalizer since ab adequate driver can't be installed without root.

it does indeed! Only way right now I can stand the poor audio quality... Hopefully V4A will work soon on OP3...
I bet some here confuse "audio quality" with "loud" or/and "much bass *LOL*
The audio quality on this device (headphone jack) IS very good, period.
If you want louder signal (and ruin your ears) or more bass (for your lame nts-nts-nts music), install V4A or something like that...

Agree, limitations are hardware based and no player will improve that. For audiophiles ... use an outboard dac/headphone amplifier.

A3 - USB TYPE-C to 3.5 mm jack

Hi
A bunch of new phones ditching the 3.5 mm jack and using the usb for audio. As I read, those headphones offer a better quality. I listen music on my phone somethimes 3-4 hours/day and I value quality. There are adapters to convert my 'normal' headphones to type-c. So my question is, will it work on A3? And if it does, is it even worth it? Would I get better music quality with my beloved 3.5 mm headphones and an adapter? Those things hard to come by in my region, I just wanna know if it worth the hassle?
just install viperforandroid and adjust the quality yourself.
Can I do that? It requires xposed right? Last time I checked(couple weeks ago) there was a problem with versions and I was afraid of bricking the phone.
unlook developer options (search for random tutorial on the internet) and search for "usb cofiguration" -> a3 2017 is capable of it, but i belive it wont change the sound quality. Better look for some badass headphones.

You don't need Xposed for V4A, search for Viper on this forum and you'll find a thread with a reply by me for more info. Can't post the link RN bc i'm on the go.
If you take your music listenning serious, then you should throw away this phone, buy decent headphones and usb DAC, plus have your music in lossless format, if you dont have, it is waste of time...
Ps: I advice you not to bother with install Viper4FX since it works on software level and it is just equalizer...

Very disappointed with audio. What are my options

Hey guys.
I have a Pixel 2 XL and have had it for about 6 months now.
Overall I am pretty disappointed with the audio out of the phone. I am using my Ultimate Ears TF10 through a Dragonfly Black and it sounds much worse than just the TF10s through my iPhone 6s (not using the dragonfly)
I can see a few options here and seeking some feedback.
1. Root the phone (I have read on here some custom ROMs will give better gains over USB C.
2. Get a pair of Bluetooth headphones (I don't really want to do this since I already have a good set of IEMs. Also are there any restrictions with Bluetooth such as compression etc.
3. Sell the phone and go get an LG v30 with its quad DAC.
Overall I'm pretty happy with the phone but the audio is very disappointing and I spend a few hours commuting today so it's a real let down.
Let me know what everyone thinks
Thanks guys

Audio Modification Library
Those four modules should improve the sound quality.

I am surprised you are having such a bad expierience.
The USB only audio (no headset jack) advantage is that you can use better DAC/Amps than on a regular smartphone.
My measurements of the various ones out there all show pretty decent specs (with some exceptions).
The stock Google dongle is excellent (it's a custom Realtec chip), I am testing the new one this weekend. Sure, using my gain control app will get you a bit cleaner tracing but whether that's audible or not, hard to say.
Apt X bluetooth with the Mee BT adapter is also very good.
I wonder if perhaps your transducer(s) in the headphone/IEM aren't working properly. That happened to me a couple of years ago with my SE846 and it drove me nuts until I figured it out.
Another thing to check: What source are you listening to? Your own rips (and what player), Spotify, G music etc? Let me know and we can go from there, as the problems vary between each one. Do you use the on board equalizer or any equalizer? If so what gains, bands?
I just tested the new dongle and re evaluated the USB audio in Pie - the implementation is substantially better and the gains are now properly optimized.
So, I don't think your issue is a Dac dongle problem, unless it is defective.
Thanks for the help so far guys.
Source is Spotify 320 kbps.
I don't think it's the headphones as it sounds fine when I plug back into my iPhone.
I might do some more testing this afternoon when I get home as my wife has the same phone.
I also have a pair of MEE X7 Bluetooth earphones and I am more impressed with these via Bluetooth (yes they are boomy but I can tell that the Bluetooth dac isn't being restricted)
I'll fill in once I have tested on my wife's phone tonight

I don't exactly advertise it. ?
I'm running those same audio mods and have no complaints with sound... Are you sure you have everything enabled in magisk property? Is V4A showing "processing =yes" when you are playing music?
My P2XL is not rooted and on Pie.
The only thing I've really missed, so far, is Dolby Atmos.
Since it's not available for Pie, I've been holding off rooting.
While searching for an audio booster, I found this app. Believe it, or not, it sounds almost as good as Dolby Atmos. I'm still tweaking it.
