Lol you did all the work for this device , I just pushed go
CandyRoms Maintainer

SwiftKey autocorrect fail It is highly usable, Antares' rom has issues with Bluetooth headsets, and this one feels equally snappy. Also, I find this one to have a very responsive ambient light sensor, it quickly ramps up to make the display usable outdoors.

It feels pretty stable. Haven't found any bugs so far. However, my battery is draining pretty fast.

Frosted Kernel? It works with the TMo S4? Got one and Frosted looks very interesting with all the variants.
Does it work with the TMo Note 2 also?

So far everything is working fine. But only one issue, ambient screen does not works most of the times.

No, not Frosted. That's for HTC Devices. It's called Cake Kernel and I have yet to release it. I have yet to finish it. It'll have a lot of stuff in it.

Dynamic F-Sync
This is a goodie by faux123, so all credits go to him for creating this unique feature !
Many kernels just disable synchronous writes to file to speed up system. While this works neatly, it is also dangerous as processes believe that file writes are actually synced to disk (or mmc media in our case) while this is not yet true ! The gain is a noticeably smoother user experience, but the risk of doing so is to have a corrupted filesystem if the device crashes, user pulls battery, battery fully depletes ... so that the device is turned off unexpectedly. To allow for the benefit, but to minimize the risk, faux123 created dynamic fsync, which while the screen is on, will defer file sync temporarily, but when screen gets turned off, a flush is called to synchronize all outstanding writes keeping your data safe.
SLIMBus OverClocked
This means SLIMbus will use its maximum potential to give the best audio quality for the hardware. Takes advantage of both hardware and the mods from zeroinfinity, also opening the door for more things that were previously limited by this. Researched and experimented by ZeroInfinity and Poondog
Booom
Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
Activity working on fixing audio should be fixed in the next few hours *fingers crossed*
All media output to speaker issues are now resolved...new build in the oven it will be labeled 5/7 instead of 5/6, when it finishes building.
Haven't used speaker too much in call since call audio was just fixed yesterday, so any feedback on that by users is welcome.
This is a stable beta, so there may be minor issues and/or things that neither I or the testers have run into yet.
Although most issues had been detected in testing and fixed prior to release.
Thanks!! I am on the nexus 5 now... But was thinking about this phone... But the lack of development scared me... But.. This ROM is one of my favorites... So I might grab it now with my jump upgrade... Then grab the nexus 6 in October

I started out at XDA because I wanted to learn and share what I have learned. My goal with this kernel is to be a very fast and stable build that offers some things that the other kernels do not. I also want to initiate Development Discussions among the community. This will be a noob friendly thread as long as new users follow two rules. First is to do some research before asking. Most likely your question has already been asked. If not in this thread then in another. Remember to always search first! Second is BE RESPECTFUL. You do these two things and even the most hardened Dev will assist you.

THANKS!!!!
First I want to say thank you to everyone who has answered my questions and responded to my pm's when I know they are busy with their own lives. Pretty much everyone I have come into contact with here on XDA has been truly helpful and respectful. Here is a list of people that had helped me in one way or the other:
Neobuddy89, ak, myfluxi, Dorimanx, Savoca, Faux123, and Many More!
Thank you guys! Without your contributions to the community we would not have the level of performance, stability and interaction that we have today
Special Thanks!

I just wanted to give a special thanks to @apb_axel for giving me permission to use his scripts from Universal Kernel Manager. By doing so he has given me almost 95% of the scripts needed to completely support my kernel with Synapse. I truly appreciate your help and assistance in getting this kernel to the next level!

Not quite sure. It is not the newest one out. It is something I want to update and is on the to do list.
Yea, I was debating releasing any kernel at all but i would have built my own for y new OPO so I might as well as share! I am very passionate about what I do and love to have an interactive thread. I like to have features that are not quite in every kernel out there. I literally built 61 test builds to get the release we have today! Still this is something I enjoy and I am really happy with the final results. Also note that I DO NOT use any kernel so when you flash my kernel, it will ALWAYS work properly with the Ramdisk since my kernel replaces the entire ramdisk with its own.
I would also like to thank @ak for pointing me in the right direction with where to start for this kernel. I wish more devs were like him.!

Congrats for new kernel!
Sent from my Bacon Machine!
By the way is this kernel optimised for battery, performance, or something in the midle?
 @RenderBroken
I love everything about this kernel.... Except for one thing. Synapse /ukm constantly screws up my phone.
This time it soft bricked me. I'm on a beach, 350 miles away from my computer, so it took a couple of hours for me to recover my phone on someone else's system.
A real shame, but I swear that I'm off synapse for good now. It's there something else that may work in its place?

But as a long time user of Synapse, I've never had any problems with it
It's weird, no other app gives me grief like this one, but every time I install it with ukm, I get ghost touches to the point where it looks like someone is hacking me!

no clue tbh.
only happen on certain apps to me so i think its an issue with 5.1.1 R_8 and some apps only.
but yes, this is my DD for now. we have been focusing on kernel related and some other things that we dont have on CM based roms like slim dim buttons and starting to compiled with UberTC 6 and -Ofast otis
so yes, this ROM will become the BIG thing in the future near by i can see it :fingers-crossed:

we add SO many changes (like app side bar to mention one) and you can always maximize using the square buttom on your top right side from your screenshot.

ill attach some screenshots for OP. it reminds me of the days where every rom actually looked and felt different instead of being slightly modified versions of aosp
EDIT: added some screenshots for people to get an idea. You can't see in a photo obviously but everything is animated yet their isn't any performance hit. In fact coming from the last ROM I flashed (aospa, which I hate to admit because I love the ROM) its significantly faster and more stable. Keep in mind its an unfair comparison because aospa is unofficial and basically still in beta.
I had been waiting for this amazing rom. I used Ancient OS before with my Redmi note 8 and it was so cool! Thanks for your work.
This is one of the best roms that I've tried, it still have things to improve but I'm glad for having this rom on joyeuse.
I'm really loving this ROM. But the one thing that doesn't work is that the navigation buttons doesn't show when you enable it. It stays in gesture mode. I can't stand using gestures, gotta have my buttons. Anyone else having this issue??

That's under gesture settings / system navigation . Just tested and it works
Thanks!! System navigation doesn't show up anywhere so I searched for it in 'Settings' and it came up. Weird.
Does 33w charging, NFC, 64mp (ANX camera) and IR Blaster work on Joyeuese? How's battery life as well? Very good looking ROM.

All that works as far as I can tell and I haven't had enough time to judge battery but at the worst its as good as every other ROM on our device

EDIT: Thread re-opened.
Been using this ROM for a bit now and I gotta say I'm really happy with it. Battery life great, not awesome but better than good . I love all the little detail animations throughout. I flash a lot of ROMs and this really is a keeper. Just wanted to give my quick 2 cents.
Looks like there's an update out. I'll be flashing this shortly!!!
Charging slow on joyeuse
Yeah it seems that way on Cortana too. The only other thing I've noticed is the led notification light doesn't work either. It did with the previous version. Other than that, I think this is so far (in my opinion) the best ROM for this phone.
Firstly, thanks Dev and team for such a great rom, I'm running the latest 5.1 and it's pretty solid, lots of customizations, stable. Thanks again Dev and team.
Yeah I don't understand why they put so much work into the ROM and not update the thread for it so it can be seen and known to still be relevant. I just bookmark the SourceForge page and check every so often to see if there's any updates.

how to get gapps though?
I think they abandoned this.
