I started out at XDA because I wanted to learn and share what I have learned. My goal with this kernel is to be a very fast and stable build that offers some things that the other kernels do not. I also want to initiate Development Discussions among the community. This will be a noob friendly thread as long as new users follow two rules. First is to do some research before asking. Most likely your question has already been asked. If not in this thread then in another. Remember to always search first! Second is BE RESPECTFUL. You do these two things and even the most hardened Dev will assist you.

THANKS!!!!
First I want to say thank you to everyone who has answered my questions and responded to my pm's when I know they are busy with their own lives. Pretty much everyone I have come into contact with here on XDA has been truly helpful and respectful. Here is a list of people that had helped me in one way or the other:
Neobuddy89, ak, myfluxi, Dorimanx, Savoca, Faux123, and Many More!
Thank you guys! Without your contributions to the community we would not have the level of performance, stability and interaction that we have today
Special Thanks!

Donators: @nfin1te, @MrDarkKV, @V1TRU, @Really now @erad1
I just wanted to give a special thanks to @apb_axel for giving me permission to use his scripts from Universal Kernel Manager. By doing so he has given me almost 95% of the scripts needed to completely support my kernel with Synapse. I truly appreciate your help and assistance in getting this kernel to the next level!

Enjoy! It has taken a lot of work to get this build out.

There can never be too many kernels
*EDIT*

Not quite sure. It is not the newest one out. It is something I want to update and is on the to do list.
Yea, I was debating releasing any kernel at all but i would have built my own for y new OPO so I might as well as share! I am very passionate about what I do and love to have an interactive thread. I like to have features that are not quite in every kernel out there. I literally built 61 test builds to get the release we have today! Still this is something I enjoy and I am really happy with the final results. Also note that I DO NOT use any kernel so when you flash my kernel, it will ALWAYS work properly with the Ramdisk since my kernel replaces the entire ramdisk with its own.
I would also like to thank @ak for pointing me in the right direction with where to start for this kernel. I wish more devs were like him.!

Congrats for new kernel!
Sent from my Bacon Machine!

By the way is this kernel optimised for battery, performance, or something in the midle?
 @RenderBroken

I love everything about this kernel.... Except for one thing. Synapse /ukm constantly screws up my phone.
This time it soft bricked me. I'm on a beach, 350 miles away from my computer, so it took a couple of hours for me to recover my phone on someone else's system.
A real shame, but I swear that I'm off synapse for good now. It's there something else that may work in its place?

But as a long time user of Synapse, I've never had any problems with it

It's weird, no other app gives me grief like this one, but every time I install it with ukm, I get ghost touches to the point where it looks like someone is hacking me!

Also another must have app! Full control over your phone and kernel for free! Trickster Mod Kernel settings
What is fast charge:
This allows one to force AC charging for any charger that is detected as USB (e.g. many car chargers) and pull the full current the charger can support. Without Fast charge, when connected to the computer or even car charger you will very low current causing the charge time to be a lot longer. With fast charge active the current is set to the max allowed (and/or safest) and charging time will reduce greatly. It also provides additional security when connecting to public charging stations because by forcing AC charging, USB/adb data transfers are disabled, protecting your data. When fast charge is active you will not be able to access your data on your device. You will need to turn fast charge off to access them. Hope this helps everyone understand it more.

Can att user use this kernel
Sent from my Nexus 7 using xda app-developers app
It is the same source for tmo and att so should be good to go. Let me go check to make sure the blocks/partitions are the same (I think they are, just haven't made a kernel for att before so I want to be 100% sure... don't need any bricks.) I'll check and let you know.
Edit: yes you will be good.

So this is only compatible with tw 4.1.1. What about tw 4.1.2?
Sent from my SGH-T999 using xda app-developers app
Yeah it will be compatible. I was thinking only of Tmo when I listed that it is only compatible with 4.1.1. I will edit it. Thanks for catching that.

Are there any significant upgrades in this kernel? I'm wanting better battery life.
Sent using T999 with DarthStalker ROM
Significant upgrades compared to what exactly? There are many "upgrades" and a huge amount of governors and a good amount of schedulers. I am not sure exactly what you mean but if you want a more exact on all the changes you can check out the commit history for this kernel on my git hub. Link is in the OP. Look for the project T999_TW_kernel. The kernel is only 4 days old with 70+ commits and many more coming. Also if you want to see about the amazing battery, you can check the last 10 pages of my Infamous S3 ROM thread to see the feed back from all my awesome users! Check if out and flash it. You won't look back.

Oh yeah, I flashed it already
I'm not experienced in kernels... And I flashes the OC'd v1.1, my AnTuTu score jumped about 1000 points. And I'll have to wait and see about battery life.
I also downloaded the Forced Fast Charging app and I'll play with it tomorrow.
And to be extra clear, I meant absolutely no offense or disrespect. I have a great deal of respect for all you devs who freely dedicate your time and effort into these ROMs, Kernels and projects. Being new to kernel flashing, I just wasn't sure what to "look for"... And I didn't want to miss out on anything

This kernel has been confirmed by my awesome users in my Infamous ROM thread so we know it is fully functional and not experimental at this time. Yes those are screen shoots of my S3 kernel... I need a bunch of clean screen shots like these so a can replace them. If you can help please do! Thanks guys.

Hey bro your download link goes to your S3 folder on Goo. May want to fix that before the flashers start mucking up their phones.

Jamison I think you need to update your download folder link. When I click it takes me to your s3 kernel folder

I noticed that the download link takes me to the S3 folder for kernels. Just be careful downloading and browse to the correct folder in the T989 folder and NOT the T999 folder.

MINIMUM KERNEL™

This kernel is only for TW 4.1.x T-mobile/Att ROMS/devices at this time. The whole point for this kernel is to give the user the features wanted from all the other kernels but stay the closest to stock as possible. All the governors and the schedulers are stock and what was found in the source from Samsung. This Kernel is 98% stock and the only changes to the code are listed in the change log. blacknight1114 and I have been testing all night and today. Running very smooth and great battery life! Thanks buddy for giving me a hand testing! This Kernel would even make a great replacement for the stock kernel in all the TW ROMs and developers you have my permission to include it if you wish.

Dynamic F-Sync
This is a goodie by faux123, so all credits go to him for creating this unique feature !
Many kernels just disable synchronous writes to file to speed up system. While this works neatly, it is also dangerous as processes believe that file writes are actually synced to disk (or mmc media in our case) while this is not yet true ! The gain is a noticeably smoother user experience, but the risk of doing so is to have a corrupted filesystem if the device crashes, user pulls battery, battery fully depletes ... so that the device is turned off unexpectedly. To allow for the benefit, but to minimize the risk, faux123 created dynamic fsync, which while the screen is on, will defer file sync temporarily, but when screen gets turned off, a flush is called to synchronize all outstanding writes keeping your data safe.
SLIMBus OverClocked
This means SLIMbus will use its maximum potential to give the best audio quality for the hardware. Takes advantage of both hardware and the mods from zeroinfinity, also opening the door for more things that were previously limited by this. Researched and experimented by ZeroInfinity and Poondog
Booom
Sent from my 831C using Tapatalk
Activity working on fixing audio should be fixed in the next few hours *fingers crossed*
All media output to speaker issues are now resolved...new build in the oven it will be labeled 5/7 instead of 5/6, when it finishes building.
Haven't used speaker too much in call since call audio was just fixed yesterday, so any feedback on that by users is welcome.
This is a stable beta, so there may be minor issues and/or things that neither I or the testers have run into yet.
Although most issues had been detected in testing and fixed prior to release.
Thanks!! I am on the nexus 5 now... But was thinking about this phone... But the lack of development scared me... But.. This ROM is one of my favorites... So I might grab it now with my jump upgrade... Then grab the nexus 6 in October

SwiftKey autocorrect fail It is highly usable, Antares' rom has issues with Bluetooth headsets, and this one feels equally snappy. Also, I find this one to have a very responsive ambient light sensor, it quickly ramps up to make the display usable outdoors.
It feels pretty stable. Haven't found any bugs so far. However, my battery is draining pretty fast.

That's normal for the Galaxy S4
Once I add my custom kernel it should improve

Frosted Kernel? It works with the TMo S4? Got one and Frosted looks very interesting with all the variants.
Does it work with the TMo Note 2 also?
So far everything is working fine. But only one issue, ambient screen does not works most of the times.

No, not Frosted. That's for HTC Devices. It's called Cake Kernel and I have yet to release it. I have yet to finish it. It'll have a lot of stuff in it.
