Hi i am using the lg g3 on the stock 5.0 rom but have a problem i use the fritz fon app (fritzbox) to make calls from my home phone uzing my cell but on the lg g3 when i want to make a call the device automaticly makes the call through my mobile network on other devices i was able to select to make the call through the normal dialer or the fritz fon app
Also noticed the same thing somewhere else when i tap a youtube link from chrome it automaticly opens in the youtube app but in settings there are no defaults for the youtube app

I picked up my G4 last Thursday (launch day in uk) and have been having a problem with the 'default app' part of lollipop. I use Apex launcher and 3 times out of 4 when I click the home button I get asked which launcher do I want to use, and whether I want it to be the 'default' option. I always choose as the default option (check box) but within 5 mins of using the phone (closing an app of installing another or if the phone has been sleeping) it asks me again which launcher I want to use. This goes on and on......I have also found that this 'default option' is not working if I play a video and choose MX Player as default, and also to any other number of apps, default choice options.
I have been on the phone to LG in the UK and they don't even have a G4 to test this issue on!!
The only advice I have been given is to try a hard reset but this has been an issue since the phone was NEW and seeing as I cant use my Titanium Backup from my Z1due to no Root as yet I am disinclined to do a reset as it looks very much like and LG or Lollipop issue.
Anyone else having a similar problem out there ?

I'm having this issue with photos app mainly and others sometimes, but never saw it on Nexus 5 lollipop. Must be something with LG launcher?
Others have complained of this. One solution is to use debloater to block the other launcher apps. In the other thread discussing this someone mentioned an app that forces the setting.
Hi Guys - anyone here using a G4 with BMW iDrive (current NBT version)? If so are you able to get e-mails w/ the G4? So far, the best I can do is get text messages but my Exchange e-mail doesn't show up. The G4 bluetooth option to access messages is on, but not sure if it applies to e-mails. This worked perfectly w/ my Z2 (which is only running Android 5.0.2).
This is a '15 228i with Tech package & enhanced bluetooth / usb.
Any ideas? Thanks.

OK it looks like LG devices in general (G2, G3) don't support viewing e-mail via iDrive. Presumably, the G4 would have the same issue.

I guess you'd need to be connected to the car first, then on the G4 go to BT settings of the connected device.
Hmmm, mine only shows Call Audio and Media Audio. Maybe AT&T took it out?

Your car may not support it. It is there in the BT options for the connection in the ATT version if the car can do it.
Car dash shows messaging button and it worked on my old S5 Active.

Did you deny permission to messages when you set up the connection by chance?
No, even repaired them this morning. Only ask for call history and phonebook.

Strange. I actually have the opposite problem. For whatever reason LG doesn't offer the option to permanently deny messages permissions. It was like that on the G3 and now the G4, so even though I deny permission to messaging on the initial setup it automatically allows it every time after that and I have to go in and manually turn off message access every time I get in the car. Happens on all 3 of our vehicles and the 2 we had when we had G3s. At least with the G3 root was available and I could use AppOps to block bluetooth MAP access. One more reason my G4 is just lying on my desk unused until root (hopefully) becomes available :/

Hi All,
I am having a lot of problem with the internet data on my phone; I can browse and use any internet required app when using wifi but I am unable to do some things using my Data plan.
Whats weird is that I can use whatsapp, olx or facebook messenger to send text messages but cannot send images through them, I am able to play games such as Clash of Clans or Clash Royale but I cannot use Uber because it just keeps signing in but it never does.
At this point I don't think theres a problems with the hardware but with a specific setting I may need to modify (May be wrong though)
Heres what I've tried so far:
- Factory reset
- Reset Network settings
- Erase and add all of the APNS for my phone company
- Check on the mobile data (enable and disable) and enable roaming data.
- Made sure the SIM fits properly on the slot
- Uninstall and reinstall all the apps that I have had problems with.
- Everything tested ok when using wifi but it starts happening when I start using my mobile data.
Any help will be greatly appreciated, I love the phone but am pretty disappointed on this situation I am having, Am even thing of maybe go back to Android 6.0 and see if 7.0 is the problem

You need to check your sprint account and check if there is some restriction on your phone number
I had the same problem, everything ok with wifi but data partially working.
What i did is install the HiddenMenu apk then:
-LG Hidden Menu
-FieldTest
-NAO Test
-NAOT
-NAOT Settings > Enable > NAO Carrier: i selected ATT.
Then i restarted the phone and voila.
When i restart my phone i get an anoying Activating Device Popup. What i do is unlock the phone before it appears and when it comes up i slide down the notification bar and go to settings many time until the popup dissapears.

A remote unlock that also opens the apn and hidden menu
I just upgraded from a V20 to a G7 ThinQ. I would like to transfer the *extensive* list of numbers I have blocked in the LG Call settings to my new phone. LG support did not have any way to do this, but I was hoping someone here might have some kung fu that I could try.
I tried using the LG Mobile Switch app, but it won't transfer "Settings" to a phone with a different version of Android, and Settings>Calls transfer that is grayed out is where any call information would be. Any suggestions?
My ROG Phone 6 (USA Version) on AT&T network is having an issue with mobile signal every time I use Google DUO (now Google Meet) every time I am on WIFI my mobile connection, connects and disconnects randomly but continuously until I finish the call or turn off WIFI, it only happens on this app, to the point that it can force a reboot sometimes.
I have also tried different video call apps such as whatsapp, telegram, facebook messenger, and the problem does not happen on such apps.
I have tried several things that came to my mind, such as, turn off 5G, turn off 4G, turned off seamless connection between WIFI and Mobile data, I turned off mobile data while on WIFI, I tried turning off Dual Band WIFI, I switch SIM card slot, I tried multiple combinations of all this options and still doing the same thing.
Has anyone faced the same issue, or is it only me? can anyone else on AT&T try such thing on Google DUO?
Maybe it's an app issue (are on latest version of app?) - look at app review/ feedback & try other VOIP apps (e.g Zoom/ Teams etc) to see if same issue, & also Meet on another phone if possible.

I have tried various other apps for video calling apps already, I read DUO app reviews on play store, but can't find a similar issue to mine on the reviews
