[mod] Lollipop Z1 louder headphone and speaker volumes. - Xperia Z1 Android Development

This will make your z1 headphone sound louder. It was made by me.
Just replace the Mixer_paths.xml file located on root/etc folder with the one on this post. Just back up original Mixer_paths.xml file in case there's a problem.
It has been tested on the c6906 model on stock Lollipop ROM but it might work on c6903 and c6902.
Hit the thanks button if you liked it.
Let me know if it works on the c6903 and c6902 models.
Enjoy your louder music. Hope you like it.
Edit: it's not a flushable zip, you have to uncompress it and copy it manually to your root/etc folder.

This mod does not come with stereo sound. The one you showed me does doesn't it? Some people just want louder headphones like me. I thought it would be good to share it.

Try to go with root explorer into: System>etc....inside this folder (etc) scroll and you will found "PowerOn.ogg" that is the start up sound....put your file in this folder and rename it with "PowerOn" but first do a backup of the original start up: to do it rename the original PowerOn.ogg in "PowerOn.ogg.bak"....
So, THANKS would be appreciated if I help you!!

Change S3 Touch Sounds

Hi Everyone! So I just rooted and debloated my T-Mobile S3 and I was wondering if anyone had gotten around to changing the stock button press sounds(blip) and touch sounds(water droplet). I've been creeping the internet and I can't seem to find a credible and sure fire way to do so. Anyone able to modify it? Thanks in Advance!
I don't know the exact file names but they should be in system/media/audio/ui. The file names will give you some idea of the event that triggers the sound.
Sent from my SGH-T999
How would you get the .ogg format from say.. an mp3 or something? If you can do that you can probably give it the same name TW_Touch.ogg and it should play the new sound. I agree it would be nice to replace it. I bet someone on here knows how to get that format. :good:

Audacity is a free sound editing program that lets you convert your WAV/MP3 to .OGG
what is the path directory to the sounds? I've been looking through it and I can't seem to find it. I must be blind.
i tried to browse here: system/media/audio/ui

I really like audacity. I used to use it to make my ring tones and notification sounds and looks like I'll be using it again!
Hi Everyone! So I got it working! super excited with my new interface sounds
Here are the steps you need to take:
1. Have a File Explorer with ROOT access
2. Navigate to system/media/audio/ui
3. Choose the sound you want to replace (I edited S_HW_TOUCH.ogg and TW_TOUCH.ogg)
4. Save a backup of the sounds and replace them with your unique .ogg sound files (use a program like audacity to convert your sound file to .OGG)
5. Restart your phone.
6. PROFIT!
Happy Modding Everyone. Thanks are appreciated! :highfive:

[SHARE] MP4 Bootanimation for non stock rom

Restore the ability to play mp4 bootanimation from stock motorola ROM
Remove the .txt from file in attachments and put the file in system/bin and replace the original one
Don't forget to make a backup in case anything goes wrong
After that you'll be able to use the mp4 bootanimation.zip from stock rom
I've tried this in many roms from different devices and everything works fine

Where can i find some boot animations ? video

yeay, it work on PA 4.44 . thanks man
I finally got this to work....
I have the Boostmobile CDMA XT1031 variant and I am running Stock 4.4.4.+Xposed.
I had to manually set the permissions of that bootanimation file of yours to: rwxr-xr-x.
All that work to get the Android L boot animation to work on stock!
Didn't worked for me at first try then I did this:
1) Change the permissions of the bootanimation file that you pasted in system/bin (change it to -rwxr-xr-x)
2) Change the permissions of bootanimation.zip that you pasted in system/media and change the permission as you changed it for above file.
3) Reboot and enjoy!
Very nice!! :good:
I will make a flasheable zip to it easy!
Please port it to CM12
I'm using your script since i bought my phone, Its awesome
But in latest CM12 its not working anymore
I port a working version to LOLLIPOP roms like CM12

It worked on my Boost Mobile moto g (xt1031). At first I had problems but then I realized that I forgot to change permissions ?. Here is the install method: (I don't know much about the features when you post so I guess you'll have to share this reply somehow for those that have problems and could have some help)
1. Backup "bootanimation" located in system/bin (I just make a folder in my Downloads calling it backup______ and place it in there)
2. Rename attachment from "bootanimation.txt" to "bootanimation" Copy and paste the "bootanimation" into system/bin (yes you replace it (or overwrite whatever ot says).
3. Change file's permissions to rwxr-xr-x
4. There is no "4" you're done. However, if you have a theme loaded in your rom I think you're going to have to update the boot animation back to stock in your theme settings.
Restoring:
1. Rename backup to "bootanimation" and paste to system/bin.
2. Change permissions to rwxr-xr-x
If you need help i'll try to help based on what I know

[GUIDE][MOD][ROOT][01/02/2015] Album Art Color Extraction for Walkman

Code:
Disclaimer: I am not responsible for a bricked device due to failure of following instrustions properly.
This is a guide to get the background color on the Now Playing screen to be a similar color to your album art on the Sony Walkman app (see screenshots below for examples). These files were extracted straight from a stock Sony Xperia Z3. This was tested and confirmed working on KitKat and Lollipop.
What you need:
Walkman app (see thread by MahaDEVELOPER to download: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2612397)
Root
File Explorer w/ root capabilities
Steps:
Download the .zip below and extract the files to your device.
Copy the file com.sonyericsson.colorextraction.xml to /system/etc/permissions and set permission to rw-r--r.
Copy the file com.sonyericsson.colorextraction_impl.jar to /system/framework and set permission to rw-r--r.
Reboot device.
Now play a song using Walkman, and you should see the change.
Screenshots: Here (proper ones coming soon)

Is there any Working Soundmod for LP Stock. 242?

I Already tried the Chemo Z2 Stereo mod, it increases the volume, but it disables the whole Loudspeaker sound.
The Z1 4.4.4 headphone and speaker boost works pretty well but without stereo support
It would be even nice to upload the Stock Soundfiles of Z1c LP
Thanks a lot!

download the .rar file
extract it, you will get two xml files (original and modified by myself)
if you want the original, rename it to mixer_paths.xml, copy it to /system/etc and set permission to rw-r-r
if you want a louder one, rename the second to mixer_paths.xml too, copy it to /system/etc and set perm to rw-r-r

Be sure to follow the instructions from the post closely else it wont work.
