I am using default lollipop 5.0 rom on lg g3 d855
yes I mean LG logo and I have no Custom Recovery installed ? is there anyway I can fix this without factory reset ?

It requires twrp. What happens when you connect it to computer? I think you have to flash kdz.

Tweaksbox Problems
After countless fruitless attempts to get Xposed installed on my G3 after fiddling with the weather widget and SmartCover, this apk did the trick. Gravity Box works fine, but for some reason none of the Tweaksbox betas work. The apks install and Tweaksbox shows as an app, but whenever I try to run it I get an error message saying Xposed is not installed. Xposed however shows Tweaksbox as an installed and activated module, which is why I am mystified that Tweaksbox doesn't seem to think that Xposed has been successfully installed. I noted that axi.apk installs Xposed V3.0 alpha2, and I'm wondering if there is some issue between this version of Xposed and the Tweaksbox betas. My G3 is the D855 w/ 3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal, and I'm running Cloudy 2.2. (Xposed and Tweaksbox ran fine together when I was running VikingWay 1.2.)

There is a new alpha i think. I will update this.

Installer for Xposed
Hi there,
I installed xposed with your tool. I was just wondering if this was normal. Every time I reboot my phone it first shows the LG logo and then goes black and then it says please wait updating apps and then it starts. Other than that everything seems to be working. So far I tried the no ads for YouTube module and the no shutter sound on tweaks and both seem to work. Oh yes every time I open xposed installer it says framework missing. Is this normal?
I'm running on stock 5.0.1 d85020f
Thank you for all this.

It's Cloudy & Tweaksbox
Just tried again with KN_VIRUS_ACURA_ROM_V16_20I, another of my favorite stock ROMs. axi.apk installed Xposed perfectly, and Tweaksbox is now happily running as an installed Xposed module. So if anyone else out there is having problems with Cloudy and Tweaksbox, you've got company, but there seems to be a solution with other stock ROMs.

Apologies to Cloudy and G3Tweaksbox
A few days ago I reported my problems in getting G3Tweaksbox to recognize the valid installation of Xposed via axi.apk. It occurred to me that the problem may have been a result of what I had done to my installation of CloudyG3 in an attempt to get Xposed installed by other means. I tried a clean installation of CloudyG3 V2.2, and voila! All worked perfectly. I now have Xposed and G3Tweaksbox happily playing together on my D855 (3 GB RAM, 32 GB internal).

xposed lg g3 5.0.1 lollipop
@Bender__007 Can i use your method (app) without twrp being installed? Or do i have ro install twrp to use this method?

Twrp needs to be installed

I flash xposed by classic method (recovery) on LG G3s, 5.0.2 and I see this "com.android.phone Has been stopped". This method works fine with my device?

If the classic method wont work-with disablin lg weather and smartcover then this also wont work. Make a backup and try but 99% it will be the same

Okay I try. When dont works what I can to do?
Sorry for my english.

You can restore - that's the only thing you can do for now. Has someone reported the issue to xposed developer?

No. How to reported?

Thanks! Bender_007

Tried flashing this mod with CloudyG3 1.2 D850. Sadly it didn't work. Bootloader found it to be a security hazard. Strangely your other mod works. I chose 0 sharpening
Still noob user. Can only post here
FYI
Today i formated data then reinstall chupa rom , superSu latest, then chupa kernel without sharpening , to finish with sharpening mod.. -> i got security kernel error
If i do same but flashing 1.9 kernel with sharpening , all good.
Im on D855
Cool installer and nice work, but unfortunately the LS990 doesn't seem to take to this. I was on the original oversharpening fix kernel with KitKat stock and tried to flash the script, resulting in the security boot error. I saw your suggestions and flashed the RIN kernel, then your installer, but got the same results. Oh well! I'll gladly take any troubleshooting suggestions.
After a fresh format (again) all worked so fine. but once i applyied this MOD , i got weird things happened. Screen was blinking and go off without touch it... unusable. and if i pressed reboot , i had a choice beetween Wallis & Futuna and Vietnam ????? WTF lol
D855 V20D bumped
a question from a noob.
How or what do you install to install the kernel?
doesn't work for G3 VS985 Lollipop AOSP
Thank you very much skin1980 for this fix. I have a d851 running skydragon kernel and everytime I boot up, I have to shut the screen on/off for the effect to take. Any ideas?
Total novice - please help
I have just purchased the LG G3 and this issue is driving me mad. Everything else about the phone is incredible but I cannot use it like this. At all. I have never used Android, never rooted and done anything like this, so I would appreciate if someone can guide me through the process. Few questions though:
1. I have a D855 running software V10L-234-10 ; Kernel 3.4.0. It is from O2, UK. Does this fix work with this?
2. If I cannot get this fixed, I will certainly return the device. However, does rooting and flashing/doing this process void my ability to return it? Or will they not notice?
3. Am I correct that the easiest / safest way to do is via http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g3/themes-apps/multimod-improveg3-t2958376 Improve G3?
Hi, I picked up this phone few days back - everything was incredible apart from the screen. I'm totally new to this - but I rooted (purpledrake), and installed custom recovery to install the sharpening mod. I absolutely love the phone now and the screen is incredible (like it should be). Thank you thank you so much for this! I'm otherwise running the stock KitKat ROM it came with.
I'm looking for the best stock lollipop ROM on which I can either apply the sharpening fix or it is pre-applied. Reason I want stock is because I LOVE Knock Code and the hold volume down for camera. I would like to get that.
Can someone please suggest a ROM? I want it to be stable and have good battery life. I don't want to be on the bleeding edge with cyanogenmod or anything like that. If I can get pure lollipop android (loved it on my Nexus 5) with Knock Code and volume down with stability and battery life, I would love that too.
THANK YOU for making the mod and I'll be grateful for the help

LG G3 s (d722) same sharpening problem
Hi!
Two days ago I bought the LG G3 S (D722) and the sharperning problem is the same or higher like LG G3
I have been searching the aroma script for LG G3 S (D722) but I didn't found
Anyone knows if I can apply the "LG G3 aroma script" to the mini version?
or ... anyone knows how to fix it?
Thanks in advance

Hey guys, I have become an owner of the LG G3 D855 as of recently, and like many, I am disappointed by the over-sharpened UI.
Basically, I'm debating between returning it and attempting to mod it by myself, but since I'm lacking some (basic) understanding in the area, I cannot make any informed decisions without some help.
With that said, here are some, perhaps noobish, questions, the answers to which would really help me get a more clear view of what would be the right choice for me:
1. Does flashing this, or some other kernel actually solve the issue, without exposing some other artifacts of the display?
- I mean it's been almost half a year since the phone's release, and the sharpening still hasn't been removed, it would be only logical to assume there's a reason for that.
2. Does the kernel dictate what rom the phone could have? In other words, could I flash CM12 on top of it, or am I limited to the stock rom?
3. Just to make sure I'm getting the order of operations straight: to flash the kernel I would first need to root, install a custom recovery, make a backup file, and then "install the [kernel] zip" (whatever that means), correct?
- If such is the case, I assume that if the need to un-void my warranty may arise, I could then unroot my phone and it would be back to stock like nothing ever happened, right?
Lastly, has anyone noticed any backlighting inconsistencies? On day one I've noticed that the pixel matrix of the screen seems uneven, which manifests in a "hatching" effect, it is noticeable the most upclose, on a white background though. Also when (slowly) pulling down the notification shade, I notice that there are some wave patterns forming on the screen as it dims. It would have probably been easier to just film it, but I hope you understand what I mean, if not know from first hand experience. The wallpaper I'm using is the snowy mountains photo, with the bright, grayish, sky. Software version: Stock rom, Lollipop 5.0.

If you use the zip script:
1 no issue
2 every rom
3 need only twrp to flash the zip. If you will flash a kdz of a stock fw all is good again for the warranty
Sent from my SM-N910F using XDA Free mobile app
D855 V20f - works like a charm.
Huge THANKS to everyone involved in creating this fix, I was almost ready to dump the phone just because of this sharpening... even tho my eyesight leaves much to be desired, the difference is night and day. Some webpages used to be almost unreadable due to this madness, honestly... LG devs screwed it big time.
This is a must for every G3 owner

I don't know, maybe you can root with the flex 2 method. BTW if you have the newer bootloader you can't install twrp or any custom kernel

Your best option is probably to use the LG flashtool 2014 and flash the old 4.2.2. KDZ
Then your'e back on the old 100% stock LG rom .
Root with towelroot and install TWRP (latest TWRP does not seem to work with flashify, use terminal commands instead)
After that you can use TWRP to flash the lollipop V50030a zip, and that way you keep both root and custom recovery.
Hi, and first of all many thanks for this rom !
However, like in 4.4 Kitkat, I still have the SD card unmounted issue sometimes, and gamma is only at 1.8. What can I do about these problems ? Do I have to flash something in particular ?
For information, my tablet had this rom installed before : http://forum.xda-developers.com/lg-g-pad-83/development/rom-android-5-0-lollipop-lrx21m-t2941207/page7
And I made a full clean before installing the new rom...did I missed something ?
camera
The camera-problem is fixed. Finally !!
Camera does not work on other android 5. Only on this it works
Yes !! thank you very much for all the work.
Thank you very much for this rom, but I have a question pus install updates lg to be modified recovey TWRP 2.8.6.0
screen brightness
Anyone noticed that screen is very bright even on 0% ? (too bright for me) or maybe i did something wrong ?
Few questions
Hello and thanks for working on our device. I have few questions. Are there any screen shots? Should I expect any random reboot or it is really and completely stock!? Are there anything good left out? For instance the good automatic brightness or the knocking ability to turn screen on or off.
Others who installed this rom also feel free to answer please. I appreciate it
It's complete. The whole LG crap is there. It's what you get when you get the official update. I had no reboot in the 5 hours before I went back to aosp.
hey guys...
how run this relase? there are any bugs?
Hi, thx for your work! The rom is running really great.
Any plan to include mod multiwindow for all apps?
I have notice that in quick remote we have lost a lot of type of device. Is it possible to port an other quick remote more complete?
How it compares to aosp ROM? Faster? Some unique featues? Besides lg crap?

Update to 30A from stock
Hello
Using a stock unrooted unmodified version of kitkat on my gpad and have few questions:
I've noticed the lollipop rom comes to around 1.1 gb. Will the OTA too be of the same size?
I've seen instructions that this rom can be dirty flashed over the stock rom. Does this mean I download and save the new rom locally in the tab, go to stock recovery and flash the new rom directly from recovery? Just like that?
Oh and has anyone got the OTA at all?
Edit: anyone using international version of the g pad...
Thanks
After 2 weeks using this ROM, I uninstalled it because gamma was too low and videos were quite sluggish. That's too bad because battery management is far better than CM 11.2 based ROMs (especially while tablet is not in use), and LG's interface is interesting...but it's not designed for everyday use. At least not yet.
Error Loki-fying
I get this error while flashing this rom via CWM --> Error loki-fying boot image, what am i doing wrong?

Hello Skin1980. I respect your work works very well for me. I need your help and understanding. You can do the same for LG GPAD 8.0 v490 V49020a_00? I can not install this device and root. Please help me.
Hi I have a weird issue, my wifi disconnects constantly every time the tablet is on deep sleep mode or downloading something. It's annoying especially for downloads. I already checked my wifi settings and they are set at "Always on" but still. Anybody else have this issues? BTW I dirty flash it over 4.4.2 maybe with a clean flash it get fixed

xposed
Is xposed works?
Hi, same problem here. But after switching to resolution 640 i can now download all from Playstore!
Great Rom
Xposed & gravity Box
I've had some success with getting some half decent nav keys.
I recommend having SuperSu installed with root before starting this as MIUI Security is a pain, but it also works fine
I downloaded Xposed from a MIUI thread:
Then installed Gravity Box from the Xposed repo
Go to Xposed and then Modules and tick Gravity Box. Reboot again, this time manually
After that, I went into Gravity box/Navigation bar tweaks. I chose Master Switch, Enable Navigation Bar, Use Lollipop icons. I chose large, but original is fine as well.
Reboot again and Joy of joys, you will have same sized nav keys.
I then go into Gravity box one more time so I can also set the 3 dimensions to 150%. I have to redo this bit after each reboot as it doesn't seem to stick.
They aren't perfect, but its an improvement. Hope it helps someone.
As this is my first post, I can't give external links, but if someone wants to message me I'll respond with the links and they can add them. Not sure if thats allowed so apologies in advance...
The rom is fluid and visually good. I am Spanish, and to put the Spanish language errors in the font that causes spaces when a word have an accent. The camera is very very bad.
The store fails. In the title it puts rom 4.4.2 and 4.4.4. I restored my apps with titanium and many games gave me FCS. I do not understand how they have based CM11. Still thanks. Back to stock.
Gapps bug
I think the Gapps bug origin is in MIUI source code, because many other MIUI6 ROM for other phones have the same problem since few days....
So we have to wait XIAOMI to patch it.
LCD Density
As there is no XXXDPI icon pack for Miui, changing LCD density from 540 to 580 is a good thing.
I love this ROM but I have encounter a Bug and two difficulties:
Bug - The Play Store can't download and install apps. sometimes it even goes into a loop of download-installation and so on. Updating the Play Store App doesn't help solving this.
Difficulties - The Navbar is SO small that it's hard to use. and the DPI makes everything too small.
overall the ROM is awesome but the combination of these two problems I wrote about made my experience hard. if these problems would be fixed I would definitely flash it again to my d855.
Good luck and keep the good job!

Hi
Hello. Thank you for port rom! And update.
My phone is D851 and i hava a problem. I am adding the file thank you
After the last OTA Update everything is close to perfect, just two bugs that I found out in the last versions - 1. the facebook messenger app has a feature of chat heads that you can see on your home screen and basically almost everywhere you go, and it doesn't work in this ROM, the chat heads don't appear. 2. The mi browser keeps on crashing every now and then.
Keep up the good work!

So, first I'll quickly detail how I upgraded. Coming from Blisspop, I ran Autorec for Lollipop (linked in OP), rebooted to recovery, wiped flashed the ZVG radios (linked in OP), flashed the rom, and it was good to go. No tot back to stock required for me (YMMV).

I did the exact same thing to my ls980 coming from Blisspop 2.3 and it just looped at the LG boot logo. Then I flashed the kernel to see if that would work and now I can't even get the lg flash tool to see my phone in download mode! I can't even flash back to stock! Before that I tried to restore my my twrp backups but none of them are working now. Kinda pissed, not blaming anybody. I just wish sometimes things weren't explained in such a bleak manner. The more specifications the better. In other words, depending on which version of Blisspop and what phone model you're using....this might now work for everybody.

I just uploaded a boot partitions upgrad/fix coming from ANY version of ROM or Firmware. for testing You must have a LGD panel (Not JDI) to use. See second post in UltraROM for details.

It's all good on my end. For some reason the laptop that I only use for flashing my phone to stock was set to the wrong com port. I flashed to stock, upgraded to ZVG, rooted, used AutoRec Lollipop, wiped everything except internal memory, flashed the rom, waited a little bit for the LG logo to disappear and everything has been smooth ever since. It's a nice, minimalistic, clean rom. Indeed worth the trouble, good work. One question? How can I get a menu button in the navigation bar in this rom? Is it there and I just can't find it?
Good job, man.

Hi guys. I see that someone writes here that WiFi tethering should work in this ROM but I don't even have WiFi tethering item in my settings. Should I enable it somehow? May be it is related to my network type (CDMA)? How can I have it working? Would be grateful for any advice.
Help
Sorry, I'm fairly new with rooting and putting roms on my device so I need some assistance if possible. I current have the Sprint LG G2 device currently running cloudy 3g 2.1 prior to the Lollipop update. I was wondering if someone can do a video or walk me through returning it to official so I can OTA update to Lollipop and then get the rom ultrapop 1.2. Sorry to bother everyone just a noob here trying to learn on how to become more efficient on changing and updating roms.
Thank you,
Jose

First question, did you put the phone to cloudy 3g 2.1? It did you buy it that way?
Which service provider or carrier are you on? Sprint or someone else?
These are important as stock will only allow sprint to work.

Use the appropriate one for sprint. Take the ota, root via the one click method that is in "Sprint Android development".
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=60393860
Use the auto-rec lollipop from here
http://androidforums.com/threads/lg-g2-autorec-twrp-on-lollipop-stock-rooted.917299/
Then flash rom.

Will we have The Dorimanx kernel soon?
I've seen he wants to add it but hasn't yet. The Lollipop Dorimanx is out, but no new version with it. Will we see it anytime soon?

Currently, there are issues with the Kernel, I am following the progress closely.

Also, can you bring back the original task manager into the ROM? I miss having the app built in. And I'm having problems with video playback when I record something.

D856 port

Is it possible to port CyanogenMod for d856 using stock as base?

I don't know how to port, but here it is which I have tried and failed without bricking my device and didn't work :silly:. I download D855 cm-12.1 nightly replace boot.img with boot.img in KDZ of my device, modified some build.prop, and failed at flash.
I also did start reading Cyanogen Mod guide and its goes way over my head. However I do think that porting for an expert would only take marginal effort then new bio like me. I hate stock but I can't get around it.
So I endup flashing stock back with LG Mobile Support 2014, it works after lot of tries with different scenarios, root the device again, installed/flash TWRP with Autorec lollipop.apk for D856, flash Xposed for lollipop, Installed Xposed Installer, G3 Tweaksbox, G3 Tweaksbox Theme for Lollipop, GravityBox and other things... for now its lot better then what stock was offering, big thanks to XDA.
However I love to see CM-12.1 for LG G3 D856, since I loved CyanogenMod on OnePlus One and missing it badly (I had to swap out with my brother because it was offering lot better battery life (good for him) and I need little good camera ... win-win).
LG G3 One Click Root
Xposed for Lollipop
Flash TWRP for D856 (root)
G3 Tweeksbox for Lollipop
