[Q] Please Help Me to Install Games & Apps to External Memory

I am a newbie to Android.
This is my first handset.
C2004 Build Number 15.2.A.2.5
(Xperia M Dual with Indian firmware)
I had tried all the methods, which are available our forum, and failed to get positive result.
Please help me someone, who is using same firmware, to get rid of my low memory issue.
I know apps to SD will not work on XM
I tried link2SD.
but, result is boot loop.
my handset is restarting after Xperia Logo.
I am using Verbatim UHS-1 class 10 64GB card.
i had partitioned my sd card and second partition is deleted to overcome restarting issue.
usually I make a partition on that unused space(10GB) in ext2 while doing experiments.
I have also one more issue,
.thumbnails folder become huge.
now it is 850MB !!!!! (aboubt half of our memory)
Can I transfer these thumbnails to external SD card??

Bro you must be half rooted that's why you are getting bootloop, did you used remount reboot fix by nut after rooting?
And you can't move the thumbnails to extsd, better update your album app...it solves the problem of oversize thumbnail problem

I had used root checker & it shows root access & busybox installed.
will you please share boot fix, you are using, to me
&
also any specific windows updates have to be installed ????
My album is up to date as per update center.

if u r having unlocked bootloader then unroot ur phone,reset ur phone[this will remove all of ur internal data]
then flash kernel with cwm and then flash supersu...[this is full root..]..and after this update ur phone...

going through the threads, which has given to me, it is known that our second partition should be in fat32.
I always tried ext!!!
maybe that was the problem of my boot loop

Once I had successful bootfix on 32bit Windows 7
(I had made more than 20 attempts)
My second partition was in FAT32
I was able to link apps
but still my internal memory is not increasing even after linked&moved apps; Why?
As I am using windows, I couldn't copy data files to second partition.
Then how could I install games?
after that, I had installed more than 10 apps
due to high drain of battery, I had to hard reset my phone.
Now I am not able to fix boot loop :crying:
Please guide me....
(Now All rooting methods fails, but still I could install superSU manually
& root checker shows I have root access.
Installed busybox..
and all root required apps works without any problem)

Sorry, newbie here.
I rooted my c1905 4.3 with towelroot.
Worked fine.
Then tried this swap method for internal and external memory
There is already a script to swap internal with external memory. i just made it to work at boot without SManager
This is just for the stock ROM!!
how to install:
1.remove SManager if u already have it
2.flash the zip in recovery OR edit the files like i did
what i did:
place the script in system/etc/init.d (script is not mine. credits to whoever made it )
edited init.qcom.post_boot.sh and added the line sh /system/etc/init.d/ext2sd
this will execute the script post boot.
any script can be executed using this method , so it kinda provides init.d support to stock ROMS

My phone rebooted (don't ask me why, I don't know) and now all my apps have stopped working (except google play and google chrome).
Can't acces my file browser anymore to delete changes made, and when connected to pc it only shows my sd-card contents.
UPDATE: Chrome and play store also stopped

Flasg a stock android ftf through flashtool

Wouldn't know how to do that.
But fixed it by rebooting without my sd card inserted. And then undo all the changes made.

[Q] SD card not detected after every reboot

Hey,
i need your help.
after every reboot i have to re-insert my external SD card, otherwise the device won't detect it.
all apps that i moved to SD won't show in appdrawer and the icons on homescreen are gone.
the Problem is new and im not sure when it started or what changes i made before.
i'm on german stock LP 5.0.2 debloated and xposed

than u may removed mediascanner from your apps -> reflash clean system
check Externer Speicher.apk
Medienspeicher.apk
Speicher.apk
Storage Capability.apk

OK i tryd regular install your apks but it didnt help. should i flash them via recovery?

nah, that won't work u need to install that as system apps manualy via a root explorer and then u need to set the correct permissions rw-r-r
btw, do u haven't that apps?

yes i have all 4 of them already installed.
so might be some app or anything else deleted/blocked the mediascanner so my device can't check for SD card?
could it be some xposed addon?

could be, but i don't think so. Did u changed some options in the build.prop?

in buil.prop i just changed LTE Mode.
unfortunaly i can't enter Recovery Mode anymore and xposed module doesnt load what the Heck is going on.
im on dualrecovery but can't enter with vol up/down?
how to reactivate recovery mode? i want to restore a backup

The only way i know to flash a system without recovery is via flashtool,
maybe the best way to you.
Save your appdata via Titanium Backup or similar app and flash a clean system.
If u don't need xposed - search a ftf / rom without that stuff

V4A Aroma Installer with neon enable optional convolver pack [MM updated Sept.5.2016

I take no credit for this amazing equalizer. All credits go to @zhuhang and the people from his thread for the convolvers.
If you don't know what V4A is check here for more details.
But basically it's an audiophiles dream that can cause serious hearing loss and such audio enjoyment at the same time!
The Zip has all the files included to enable "neon" support for convolvers, which are also included.
The feedback I've received so far is 100% success.
INSTRUCTIONS:
1) DOWNLOAD THE ZIP
2) FLASH IN RECOVERY (no need to uninstall if you already have viper installed)
3) open the app and you will be prompted to install the drivers. (I always choose the top one, although it does consume more batter, we'll worth it)
The EQ can be either super simple with just the basic adjustments or can get really technical in "expert" mode.
To activate the convolvers hit the 3 dots in the top right and click click the "ui settings" and change it to expert

If using my previous zip version a simple flash of the new zip will update your V4A.
If you are running any version other than the one in my previous zip you will need to follow the steps below to ensure a smooth update to 2.4.0.1.
1) uninstall current driver from Viper by selecting the option is the app or use file manager and delete "libv4a_fx_ics.so" from system/lib/soundfx.
2) wipe data app with application manager or TiBackup
3) uninstall your current V4A
4) Flash to new zip
5) boot up and enjoy
6) hit the thanks button.

Installed and work but nothing is neon. What did i am wrong? Viper wasnt installed anytime before. Please help

It says kernel folder is empty but all the impulse is in kernel folder. Is there anything i missed.

To fix the empty directory error (which has happened to me on G925FXXU3DPAD), simply copy all the convolver .irs and .wav files from whereever you see them to /data/media/legacy/ViPER4Android/Kernel/ with a root browser, and you will notice the directory is indeed empty if it exists at all (at least it was in my case). I believe that with the MM changes to how the internal SD is mounted (again), V4A's old location check fails, sorta.

Problem moving app to /system/apps

Well, basically my problem is when I try to move an app to /system/app.
I am user of GPS spoofers and today I've unlocked my bootloader, flashed latest twrp by @Alberto97 and followed this thread to use Magisk:

I'm using Nougat 7.1.1 security patch December 1.
As I use GPS spoofers, I wanted to move GPS Location app to /system/app to do not use mock locations, and then hide Magisk to play Pokemon go, but every time I tried to move it to system with Link2sd, after trying, it was just showing the following error when I tried to to move the app to system:
"mount '/dev/block/dm-0'- '/system' device or resource busy"
I really don't want to downgrade to MM to try to move it, and maybe if I downgrade, the problem will not be fixed too... So, can anyone help me with it? I really want to move it to system, and I don't know what to do, I'm really new with this error.

/system write is disabled when the device is turned on, security
Use twrp. First mount /system in the mount menu, then advanced and file manager to move it from /data/app to system
And maybe it also needs to go to /system/priv-app, but I am not sure about that

thank you for the help, but... Everything was okay until I test the app, i don't know if you use this kind of app, but when I moved it to system/app it should allow me to access the system functions. As the attached image shows, I cannot access it yet, but it's already in /system/app.
Please dude, help me, i really want to use this functions
Edit. And when i try to convert the app to a user app, link2sd show me the error showed by the error image.

First: never EVER even mention LP anywhere. It is strictly forbidden to even mention it, it's warez since you can crack Apps with it to not have to pay while still using paid functions, please all edit your posts!
Second: you are using Magisk @xdaVTU. So learn to use its full potential! Magisk was made to make changes especially to /sytem without actually changing that partition in order to allow OTA updates since they would scan partitions like the system partition which are cryptographically secured. If they where even mounted r/w the update will abort.
So if you want to make changes to /system, just make a module or use existing ones, it's actually very easy. In your case there should be a module in manager called app systemizer (or something like that, haven't used Magisk in about a month), that should do the job.
But in general, you can simply "write" your own module, you don't need much for that. Just get the module template from github, it should be linked in the Magisk release thread. Unzip it. open the module.prop in a text editor and edit it how you want (only the text behind the = signs, very self explainatory). Save it. Then open the folder "system" and create the sub-folder app (or priv-app) and inside create some folder for the app. Put the apk file of the app you want to install in /sytem/app/foldername inside. At the end, put everything back into a zip file (the folders common, META-INF and system together with the files. Make sure it's a simple zip file thats not encrypted and that inside the files and folders aren't inside another folder (which is the case when you download the zip from github) otherwise it will fail to install. Then just install your new zip through the Magisk Manager or TWRP and done. Everyting should work now.

About the Magisk, I don't know how does it work fully, and would like just to use that GPS as a system app, so I would need a little help for that. I didn't understand anything about the modules, and the only reason I'm using Magisk than SuperSU is because I've seen some users saying SuperSU wasn't stable in Nougat and they've got into bootloop...
Is this security of just Nougat or marshmallow also have it?
Should I use SuperSU instead of Magisk for that?
Please help me with it.
Ah, one more question, should I downgrade to Marshmallow to get it to work?

As i just want to move an app to /system/priv-app(yes, priv-app), can I just use TWRP terminal and move it? Without rooting my phone neither with magisk nor supersu? Or it isn't gonna work?

It will work, but keep in mind you won't be able to make OTA updates. So if you want to update your firmware you'll probably have to use either Motorola device manager or manually flush it through RSD lite. Using Magisk should give you root, it's huge possibilities and still keep OTA updates working. But with Motorola devices it's a bit of work to get it to work because there is a bug in the kernel for years now

I don't have sure if its gonna help because is a little complicated to do, i don't have sure if its gonna work with newer versions of magisk or the way that you installed because some module won't work in the way that you install but you can try this. I used some time ago in aosp rom maybe works on stock too

Thank you all for helping me, mainly Artim and user, because with user's help I learned that tarp also can make some system modifications with file manager, but it seems to need root as well(I'm not sure about that actually), and Artim, you really helped me with those things about magisk modules. I've just flashed nougat 7.0, then I flashed twrp 3.0.2-0 and flashed magisk, it works very well!
And I found a kernel download link that really worked for me, with magisk modules(systemizer and appsystemizer) I could do what I wanted to.
Everything is working now, but I'd like to know if that f2fs fix kernel really works.. When I was using 6.0.1, I downloaded the kernel fixed for that Android version, but I just caused me a bootloop, so now I'm afraid about trying the 7.1.1 version...

Of course you need the Kernel matching your Android version.
There also is a Magisk module that's supposed to fix it, but I don't know if it even works
