Hi,
Got it working

It just bootloops for me. Installed on the Z1C with your latest ROM.

I can install this kernel with stock Sony rom unlocked bootloader?

What's the difference between RockZ1L Kernel and RockZ1l_v1.2 Deodex/most advanced?

RockZ1L kernel is a kernel -_- and RockZ1L 1.2 is a rom -.-
Wysłane z mojej Z1 compact przy użyciu Tapatalk

tested on z1c, pretty fast and stable

how is the battery life ? It's better than stock ?

Yes I took time for first boot mate. It works
The zip itself clear the recovery installed data

Great kernel, KCAL works perfectly. But for anyone else whose CPU isn't going into Deep Sleep, make sure double-tap to wake is disabled in the "Pimp My Z1" app. If that doesn't work, I disabled it in NamelessROM's "Device Control", which worked for me.

F2FS? Any chance? Since you are currently working on this kernel.

Yeah, I've been keeping an eye on your commits. You've been really busy the last few days! Woh!
The kernel works really well for me (I built it using latest linaro A15). So thank you for all that work!
Adding F2FS would make your perfect kernel even more brilliant though!

can I use it with cm12. 1 or only with stock rom?
Thanks

I am NOT resposible for any damage done to your device, your neighbor, or any other things you like/hate.
Introduction:
About:
This Kernel is a port from the Z2/Z3/Z3C M5 Kernel based on the official CM12 kernel. It should work with any Rom using the stock CM kernel too (Like Carbon and Liquid). I'm mainly using PAC 5.1, and it's working sweet so far!
Installation Instruction:
THIS DOES ONLY WORK ON UNLOCKED BOOTLOADER!
When you're on CM/a CM based Rom:
Flash the zip file in recovery
When coming from Stock:
Flash the boot.img included in the zip file using fastboot. Flash a CM based Rom then and flash the Kernel zip file again as the Rom overrides the Kernel.

It's still 3.4 based, but as soon as Camera is working on 3.10 Kernel I'm going to work on a 3.10 based M5 Kernel as I'll use it for Carbon and OmniROM builds for my devices too.

You need to ask jerpelea to give you link to the commit on git when everything worked! Last time when I used his kernel everything is worked, only which was lag was some videos but camera if I am not wrong worked well!
Does the kernel work with slim based roms? I have tried V7 and V7.9 with Tesla and unfortunately both are bootlooping.
Kernel works great. If I want to try F2FS support for the amami it doesn't work.
From my experience it is missing the f2fs mount strings in the fstab.qcom file in the ramdisk. Any chance u can add the mounting lines in the fstab file so I don't have to manually apply them?

Kernel works fine. Any booting problems happen only if your rom uses a non traditional ramdisk. Anyway, generic ramdisks should never be used. Short of recompiling the kernel, the procedure is to unpack m5 and replace it's ramdisk.cpio with that from your rom.

Not wanting to complain, but since V9 I use AnyKernel2, it does NOT contain a generic ramdisk because of exactly that reason. AnyKernel2 is designed to unpack the current boot.img, replace the zImage and dt.img, and apply 2 patches to the ramdisk (for lzma compressed recoverys and F2FS) and then repack the boot.img followed by flashing it. Not certainly sure why this does not work on Mokee Rom for you, we tested it especially on Mokee (as mokee has differently named libraries) and it worked fine.

That's good to know, but I was just replying to someone who had problems. I have none of those, as I build kernels in a specific rom environment. So, no need for packing/repacking.
By the way: Great job...

I think the problem is the cyanogenmod recovery. I flash it wich that recovery and get stuck and reboot all the time.
Now i flashed it wich Philz recovery and it is working.
Thank you

Kernel Update 0.2
Kernel Update 0.2
Changelog:
I had to remove MSM_Performance cause it made too much troubles cause userspace sends max core commands to it and that ends in laggy cam or other low perfoming apps.

Camera ?
Camera not working after flashing this kernel. I am running an older version of Oxygen Os ( 2.1.2 ) which could be the issue ?

Thax for releasing this! NTFS Support wow! Nice! Justs flashed it on RR Stable 1, still optimising apps guess as i did a wipe cash. Will test and report back. Guess some things from stock will not work in RR as there is the "switch" in the UI missing i guess. But i am really currious.

FYI no need to wipe cache when flashing a kernel, same thing with dalvik-cache
Flashd It over aerom V5 just for FCharge, i'll tell later!
Seams not to work with RR somehow, after "optimizing Apps" there was standing Starting Apps... but nothing happens even after 5 Minutes. Reboot, now only RR Logo Animation starting over and over since like 10 minutes.. any idea?

Odd, I'll look into it later today.
Great work! Do I have to flash Bootloader, lk, etc.. like for latest CM13 or can I just flash over my installed DarkSense 4.1.0 ROM?

If you have not already done so then yes, this will also mean updating to the latest available TWRP, otherwise you will get bootloops etc.
Ok worked now, maybe was because i gut magisk systemless root, xposed and so on. Well works now, but as i thought smartcase not working maybe as there is no switch in RR? Tryed wsith kernel auditor but there seams nothing like that to tun on/off. Guess need to have go back on one of the stock based roms
@Jonny something different about FP EINT wakelock? In cyanogen seems to be fixed. Many thankss
Well one good thing, proximity sensor seems to work a little better than with the other kernel.

Root and Xposed (the version before magisk) work fine with this kernel, I have not tested out magisk because it makes too big a mess of my other systemless mods, and when working on my ROM I don't want to switch to magisk then Rovo brings out a completely different official systemless xposed

Well latest xposed, with latest magisk and phh superuser worked fine and works fine with your kernel, nothing negative. just flashed it again. Guess the wipe cache did something wrong. Not everything works again as before just with your kernel. So just have to find out how to enable the magnetic sensor and i am happy. Used greenify and amplify for some tweeks and getting great battery time in standby RR and round 5 hhours screen on time on RR, as poweruser for me its ok, better than my g4 before.
Is it possible to flash your Kernel with CM13 ?
I tried to but I got an error message (footer problem) in the early phase of the flash.

Flash with TWRP.
Maybe a bug: My camera app (the one that is with RR) closes after every shot, picture is saved but closes than. Seams only in HDR mode, so pro a "old bug" - read bout it several times. Same with the othr kernel.

That's a ROM issue then, not a kernel issue if it happens on stock kernel as well.

have you tried the HolyDragon kernel?
(or BluSpark or SmurfKernel?)
how does it compare?
One small bug, the link speed for wifi is always 0.

Tried... Not much of different... But this is fast smooth and very battery friendly... Exactly for battery this is a monster... All kernels are good... Tried even arter97, radioactiv, smurf, ex... Etc... Now staying with this
If I'm on oos 9.0.5 with xXx and Renovation rom with stock kernel all I have to do is flash this kernel zip right? No need to flash the boot image?

Oh... Maybe this is exactly for stable oos? Idk... What version of magisk did you flashed?and what kind of error did you get? Bootloop or maybe Qualcomm crashdump? Or it is rebooting to recovery?
Kernel is pretty smooth but on the balanced profile the big core is at least 25%-30% on the top frequency just when browsing net or chatting WhatsApp. Normally smurf and holydragon doesn't act like this on balanced profile
