How reliable is this source?

There back tracking already seems they changed their minds
D2303 18.3.1.C.1.15 kk deodexed rooted philz touch recovery bravia engine 2 + x-reality viper audio

So Sony offical anounce 5.1 update for M2, which is significantly older and slight weaker, what are they doing? Are they normaln?
I 'm not going to buy any Sony product from now.

Disappointed that my T3 will remain stuck on KK.

I think Lollipop has better battery life and better memory management. I find the T3 seems to hesitate when launching apps and scrolling. The battery life can drop 2% just changing screens, etc. My T3 is only a week old too.

Are you using 4.4.2 or 4.4.4?
Mine is using 4.4.2 (back from 4.4.4)

I am using 4.4.4. The phone was really no different with 4.4.2.

oh, well, I think we should say "goodbye" to Lollipop...

That's the same answer (copy-paste) sony gives to everyone asking about updates for their models, even to M2 owners a day before sony announced lollipop for this model... so, there's still ray of hope.

really hope whatever updates the ZL get, will improve battery life, anything else will be a bonus
Battery life is OK here, stamina mode does a great job. I hope ZL will get 4.3 soon and 4.4 is following at the beginning of the next year.

I'd agree with the poster above you. Battery life's terrible on this phone. Stamina mode, I'd agree, it does a decent job, BUT when your phone's lying dormant. Otherwise, I browsed the PlayStore for a mere 30 minutes the other day, and the percentage dropped from a full charge all the way down to 81. It happened every occasion after that, necessitating me to connect it to a charger while browsing. The same when reading ebooks, even though I keep brightness all the way down to the minimum. The battery just drains way too quickly. At home, it's manageable--you do have access to a charger--but when you're out and about... And it's not even interchangeable that you can carry a spare or two with you.
Back to the subject, though, I do hope there's an eventual 4.4 for the ZL. But we will come to know in a week.
So Guys,
I don't know how you can really doubt the 4.4 for the ZL!!!
We are talking about a Device not close to 1 Year on Air.....know what I mean.
If Sony doesn't care about....last Sony Device I've bought....and I bought a few.
I really like the ZL, never have any hardware issue with it but it will be a disappoint if a device so great in features like the ZL does not get 4.4 kitkat. Our phones are more powerful than the Nexus 4 and they are already in kitkat

So?
My previous phone, Motorola Droid 3, was released July 2011. It never got ICS which was released only only 3 months later (October 2011!!!).
So no I don't take it for granted...

Actually, the ZL's EQUALLY powerful to the Nexus 4. Same processor (Snapdragon S4 Pro), same GPU (Adreno 320), and same amount of RAM (2 GB).
Well my point is the Nexus 4 does not have LTE and NFC enabled and the ZL have it
Sent from my C6506 using xda app-developers app
Nexus 4 has the same processing power and also a 720p screen => better performance. Also it has NFC enabled, but LTE is disabled.

I'm a bit surprised by the NFC support (or lack there of) on the ZL. Does anyone understand why basic NFC functionality works, but Google Wallet does not?
Is it due to missing some hardware security bits (which are being moved to software IIRC in 4.4) or just a lack of app support?
Sony will start rolling 4.3 update from next month & we will also get 4.4 update here is the link: http://t.co/5ZcK1lqKUu
Nice, at least now we know that our ZL will get 4.3 and 4.4

New Kernel Update - Tues - Nov 4th 2014

just received a new software and stability update. Small in size. 7.45 MB. Had anyone else recieve it? If so, what did they improve? It's so incremental I can't even tell.

I just received it. I noticed two things after installing:
- The bluetooth/wifi/sidesync bug appears to be fixed. I also got a sidesync update today so that might be a factor.
- Overall wifi performance is better. I am getting faster wifi speeds than ever according to speedtest.net (33% faster download and about twice as fast upload). I'm surprised by the improvement. Maybe today is a fluke, but my desktop computer wifi speeds are about the same as they have always been. (time will tell) .
I've downloaded the rom from sammobile and its seems much snappier...

Agree. I too installed it and find the tablet much snappier. Wonder what performance improvement Samsung did though this update.
The performance is really noticeable, its a lot snappier and less micro lags
Can anyone try to find out if the problem with switching between 3G and 4G still exists, and if you still have to toggle flightmide for data to work again?
No updates for the SM-T805.
I have the france firmware installed.
Too bad the X05 models haven't received any update yet. If they did, and many of the existing issues were fixed in the process - I might aswell go ahead and buy a SM-T705!
Still waiting for an update for the 8.4 here in UK

OK. After a few days with the new update and I can safely agree with everyone else. It's definitely much more fluid and snappy, with no stutter effects, whatsoever. I wonder if this in preparation for the eventual lollipop update. We should see that around the first quarter of next year.
can i flash russia firmware , im from Viet nam and my device is t805

Lollipop in 2 Weeks

Was guessing end of March on my other thread, which was best case... Seems it might happen
http://www.xperiablog.net/2015/03/1...update-for-other-z-series-rolls-in-two-weeks/
I will say though, the C5606, usually gets things last... Hopefully one of the ZL models get it by the end of march, would be pretty good.

But on the other hand, as long as there is no stable Xposed for Lollipop, I'm not going to update anyway. So no harm done.

Same here. That's the reason I didn't yet update my S5. But I wouldn't mind playing around with LP a bit, even without Xposed. From what I've seen so far on other people's phones, I don't like it much, but I'd like to try it out on my own device. Too bad I can't afford to tinker with the S5, as it's my work phone...
i think is really near

First purported Z series screenshot:
XperiaBlog.net said:
The screenshot you see below is claimed to be the first showing Android 5.0.2 Lollipop on the original Xperia Z (C6603). It shows that the handset is running on the 3.4 kernel and with a build number starting with 10.6.A.0. This would fit given the currently released firmware with build 10.5.1.A.0.292 i.e. the move from 10.5 to 10.6. Obviously the screenshot could be a fake, but hopefully it indicates the Lollipop update for older Xperia Z series is just around the corner.

I hope it don't come with a battery drain issue (again).
We got bent over a little with how long its taking, but not too concerned ( been having wifi issues, fixes with a restart though)
The post saying "end of next week" is actually end of THIS week... so we'll see... Not too long now, but don't get too excited... I say give Sony another 2 weeks, atleast....

About LOLIPOP UPDATE CLAM DOWN PLZ

I see a lot post here about lolipop update. Here are my word. We have enoth ram, enoth fast procesor, good display. So we have all specs to support lolipop but we got big problem that is our kernel and our soruces general, those are sooo outdated. Is about 1 y and half from last kk sources with is a lot(like from sun to earth). Reason whay Im talking about it is manifacture need to use specific code bruch to build Android. Look here for more LINK. We shoud get it till august. :highfive::highfive:
We have a Qualcomm MSM8228 Snapdragon Chipset. There's no a single record about it on this site. We will not get an official Lollipop, I'm sure for now.
EDIT - Maybe I exaggerated. Let's just wait some more.

Hello, how about new firmware?;d Sth new? Newer TW would be perfect. I was watching this thread because I'm an owner of one s3 neo and I'm wondering if this update will arrive to Poland where I live? xD
New firmware is one big bag of nothing.
Just updates Google apps and everything else is just the same.
I guess this is samsungs way of saying: now you got your update, stop asking for more !!!
It's not even 4.4.4 it's the same Android version as before...
I guess this is it:
No lolipop on this device...
S4 Mini with dual core 1.7 GHz Snapdragon 400 and 1.5 GB RAM will not recive Lollipop. If our S3 Neo use Quad Core, I don't think they will recive lollipop.
If you want tu use Lollipop, try CyanogenMod 12.1
waste of time...
i dont think they will release lollipop for our phone...
just go for mandzo its amazing !
No lolipop from samsung, they are updating just couple of device's, s3 was cancelled months ago. Samsung is not big fan of lolipop because of bad integration of tw, and they canceled lot of updates....
Google is one to blame, bad lolipop experience is keeping manufacturers from lolipop...
As for S3 neo, there is 0 remaining official updates.
Sad as it is, we just have to accept it...

what fixes are you talking about ?
Nothing was broken in order to be fixed..
I didn't experienced any bugs on stock firmware, and i didn't noticed any performance improvements o this ****y update.
I even started experiencing bugs with stock email client with "sign in error" every 2 hours...
This shouldn't be even called update, but more like gaps and samsung bloatware update...
