[Q] AT&T Model H810 or Unlocked H815 Model - G4 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, I am just wondering if I should go with the AT&T Model or the unlocked model. I will be using this on AT&T and already know that the h815 has the same bands. I just want to know if that is a good choice or if I should wait until the 5th

The 815 who knows when the bootloader will be unlocked on ATT model. Carrier phones you have to delete all the carrier iq crap and bloat software. Ordered a 815 on eBay can not wait to get rid this one m8.

I have a T-Mobile H811 that I am returning. Put myself on the list to get an H810 from AT&T when it's released, however after seeing this thread I decided to pay the extra $60 (AT&T phone is $620, H815 on EBay is $680) and just get the fully unlocked H815. The only difference in bands I saw was that the H810 has but the H815 does not is the LTE 2300 band. H815, otherwise, has others.
Here is a screenshot comparing the bands from the website PhoneMore.com.

But then you don't get the 100 dollar best buy card or the lg freebies. So that's at least another 30 bucks worth. So that 660 - 130 = 530$.
Maybe I'll regret it later, but I am trying the att version.

I'm buying the phone full-retail, so according to Best Buy, I don't get that offer as it's only given when an 'upgrade' is used. Definitely will miss out on the LG freebies unless AT&T is running some sort of promo.
I got a call from the EBay seller who said that the phone could ship anywhere from May 30th to June 15th...so I have decided that I will keep whichever phone comes first unless it's a day apart. Meaning, if the H810 (AT&T) arrives on Friday next week and the H815 is scheduled for Saturday, I'll go with the full unlocked. If the unlocked one is like a week longer, forget it, I'll keep the AT&T one.

I'm buying it at full retail too. Where does it say only upgrades? I even read the fine print. Just says when you purchase. If I don't get the GC then I'm not buying it from them either lol.

I'm going with the H815 unlocked model mainly because of the unlocked bootloader and the faster non-carrier reliant software updates.

That's what they told me. They said they could do a hardware only order (meaning order with no contract) but I would not get the GC.

Good points.

Thanks for your help guys, I have purchased one of these http://www.ebay.com/itm/281696933232 it was only $10 or so more then a contact free version, Comes with a free case and screen protector, probably both low quality but hey its included, and saves a little bit more money. As for the LG G4 Promo, I am sure I can find a way to get it

I found somewhere the att version was listed as having band 29. Do you lose that by going with the unlocked version?

I do not believe you'll lose the LG freebies, as long as you provide an IMEI# and proof of purchase, you should be able to get them. The carrier/retail store stuff will obviously be lost, but as mentioned previously, the upsides far outweigh the downsides. I will never get a carrier branded phone again, unless I am THAT desperate.

You can get it from Amazon now too (815), which is what I was waiting for. Not a fan of buying from Ebay. Hoping to still get the lg freebies since amazon is an auth retailer. Dropped the bestbuy ATT preorder.

AWESOME! And it's a few bucks cheaper!
I'm cancelling my EBay order and my AT&T pre-order and sticking with the 815. Definitely trust Amazon more myself.

So I am actually potentially debating about switching from the m8.
Couple questions to throw out there:
1. Do you know if the 815 will support VoLTE / HD Voice on AT&T?
2. Do you know how the warranty process would be handled if there was an issue with the phone? This would be the *only* pro I see out of getting the AT&T model over the international model.

Just a word of caution: You are not buying from Amazon. You are buying through Amazon, from somebody else in their marketplace.
I don't know anything about that seller, so maybe it's an American one, and you'll still qualify for the LG offer, but the point is, we don't know.
I agree with you, though, I'd rather buy through Amazon than Ebay, just in case there are problems.

I have the H815 and bl not unlocked yet.

I just order my LG G4 H815!! Since I have no plans to root my G4! The H815 is the best choice because it will come free from any carrier bloatware that it cant be uninstalled... Also, the H815 gets future updates way faster than the H810!

I had trouble ordering my G3 on Amazon 3rd party seller I ordered the F400 they sent the d855. They wanted to charge me restock fee and shipping back. It was a nightmare.

[Q] Tab Pro 8.4 3G or LTE availability? (SM-T321 or SM-T325)

Does anyone have any news on availability for the cellular varieties of the Tab 8.4? Anywhere in the world? I'm interested in importing one of these to replace my ageing Tab 7.7 3G to use as my phone (or buying local in the UK, but importing would do).

Did you both order the 32GB versions?
Hold out for the 8.4, has the Snapdragon 800, I think that'll mean better ROMs etc.

I don't understand you LTE must have guys. No offense. Just curious.
I'm seeing the LTE is over $500usd and then monthly data.
In Canada a 1GB/m mobile data plan is $40cad. We do have shared data on some mobile plans. So if you have a gig or two and you only use 500mb/m or something you can use up your excess but that would be gone in a flash if you weren't really careful and the overages would be killer.
There is no way I'd be paying that unless it really was a necessity. I'll just use my phone.
Do you guys need it for work or something?
I'm getting the tab pro 8.4 LTE to replace my smartphone Sony Xperia Z ultra which i found the screen too small. So i mainly will use the tab as a smartphone, i need to be able to get phone calls ( using a bluetooth headset SBH52 ) , and i have a 4G / LTE 5GB data plan for 24 € here . I can go over at no additional charge, only reduced speeds ...
LTE version to be free, internet almost everywhere, the wifi one is useless for me cause you can use it only at home or in some area with wifi. i want to access internet when i want to, where i want to, without scanning my city for some free wi-fi hotspot .
I'm a heavy user, i have a 20 / 40 GB data usage per month ( wifi @ home + mobile data )

I am in Canada on Telus, and it only costs $10/mo to let it share the data plan i already share with my "family" (not all are exactly family). I am doing this on a Galaxy Note 8 LTE that I imported from UK last May via Expansys (But the resolution is lousy 1200 x 800 or something, so now I covet the resolution of the Tab PRO, but with LTE. I could live without the S-pen, as it turns out).
You see, if it's only $10, it's kind of like free, so why not? And if you _already_ have it, then you find out it's very handy.
I admit, my factory unlocked device (which included a silly phone app, as if I was going to hold a Note 8 to my ear!) was kind of expensive. but that's what you get for wanting to get it right away

My apologies re my comment to meboy.. While I did at first think that the phone component of my Note 8 could be useful, I was unable to make myself do it (hold it to my ear, or get organized to always have a headset handy). But I see (now) that we all have different ways to use these things
Thank you for clarifying that what I want is the SM-T320 and not the SM-T325..!

Looking for the best source for LG G4 H815 EU in the US

I live in the US and want to purchase the H815 variant. I see there are several different H815's, an EU, a Taiwan, and maybe a Korean.
I would like to be able to purchase it with a warranty and to be sure its the EU variant, so that it will be bootloader unlockable. I know LG says they will make others unlockable in the future, but it doesn't say how long. I hate for them to drag their feet and it still not be unlockable 2 months from now because I got the Taiwan region H815.
I see the H815 on ebay and amazon, but no one is really clear on which region code the device is. Does anyone have any input? Thanks!
Those on eBay and Amazon all seem to ship from either Singapore or Taiwan.
It stands to reason that if there are indeed different flavors named the same (H815), -- what an odd decision by LG -- those would be the Asian variety, not EU. I think I saw in some thread here something about an owner of one of these phones not being successful at doing the official unlock.

Indeed, I read this same post and was my initial cause for concern. I wonder why its the same model number, H815? I wonder why LG didn't opt for a different model for these different regions if they are going to roll out unlocks for them at different times.
expansys-usa.com has the EU G4 H815 in stock in the US I believe. It was like $100 more than the eBay sellers though last I checked.
Keep in mind there is no US warranty on the UK version. I called and checked.

You see this?

I'm been communicating with never-msrp and tropical mobile, the two sellers on ebay who are selling in bulk and competitive pricing (now under $600)
They are both selling the asian version which is actually H815T (vs H815)
never-msrp says he will have the EU version in 3-4 days but only available in plastic back
I hope this helped~!
Also, as far as I can understand, you won't get any warranty on the device (if you're looking for the H815, you're unlocking anyways so that voids warranty as well)
Their product page states that the phone comes with LG's 12-month warranty. That is for the Asian version.
EU version's pages, at least on Amazon, however, explicitly state "no warranty".
So the warranty deal could be a regional issue.

actually scratch that. H815T is the Hong Kong version according to LG HK's website
If you do a search on ebay for H815T you'll see a lot of postings where it does NOT say it's factory unlocked. Except the ones that never-msrp are selling so not sure what to make of it.
I too live in canada and our support( for dev purposes AND legit updates) sucks in general so I'd really like to get an international version but the warranty and this EU vs Asia H815 issue is really holding me back....
Handtec looks like they have some good options. I contacted them and their phone is the EU H815 and they ship internationally. Total shipped to the US for the "LG G4 32GB - Metallic Grey" is £406.89 which google says is $623.70 right now. Not a bad price for a known EU H815. I don't have the funds just yet, so I will keep looking for any cheaper source for the next few weeks anyway.

Do we (united states) have to pay any sort of import/duty/customs fee when it arrives in the USA? That would be a deal breaker. And I'm assuming this would come with an EU power brick so we'd need to supply our own charger?

Good questions, I don't know the answer to that. I wouldn't care about the EU power brick, but I would hate to pay any customs fee unless it was VERY small. Does anyone know the answer to these questions?

Mejilan,
Thanks for letting me know about your post. I have read it and it was most helpful. Is there any trick to how you filled out this form that allowed you to have incur any fees?
Sure. I used a bit of Google-Fu to figure out what I should be filling in for the FCC ID and Manufacturer's Address fields in the FCC Form 740 FedEx Customs had me fill out. The rest of the form was fairly straightforward. Towards the bottom, they ask you to specify the kind of import you're arranging by selecting from options 1-8. I went with the first option.
https://apps.fcc.gov/oetcf/eas/reports/GenericSearchResult.cfm?RequestTimeout=500
FCC ID: ZNFH815
Manufacturer's Address:
LG Electronics MobileComm USA, Inc.

United States
Edit - For some reason, direct linking to the FCC page isn't working for me. Could just be my browser. But if it fails for you as well, simply go to:
https://www.fcc.gov/fccid and do a manual search yourself. The Grantee code is ZNF. The Product Code is H815. Then click on Search. You may leave Applicant Name blank.

For anyone intersted, I just heard back from the eBay selling "never msrp" who has been selling the LG G4 in bulk one eBay (http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-LG-G4-H...r-/191577825455?ssPageName=ADME:X:RTQ:US:1123) and he told me that he will be getting the European version in limited quantity on Monday for the same price but only in brown (leather), gray and white colors.
I think this would be the best route as he ships from Houston.
Old thread I know but based on it I ordered from Handtec. I received a phone with a region code of BAL which was unlockable via official method. I received the phone 2 days after I ordered in a rural part of Washington State, USA.

[Q] Best Store to Import H815 ? Need assistance from European Users!

So it seems most of the H815's on Amazon and eBay are the Asian variants and NOT the European version. The issue with this is that only the European version seems to be unlockable through LG. Codefire needs to pick up an unlockable version (although my goal is to unlock it without going through LG). I need assistance finding different stores in Europe that sell the EU H815 and also ship to USA.
So far.. possible candidates are:
www.clove.co.uk/lg-g4
http://www.glistockisti.it/lg-g4-h815-ceramic-white.html?___SID=U
Would want to spend around $650.. or €600 (or less!!)
I'm still looking of course but any suggestions would be welcomed. And again.. I do not want the Asian variant.. it must be a generic unbranded European variant... seems they coul come from UK, France, Italy, Germany... maybe more.
I'm pretty sure I have the European version as it has the unlock bootloader options. I could sell it to you for perhaps $450. Pm for details if interested

Unlock bootloader options and the steps from LG's website to unlock the bootloader are two different things.
ya we learned that the USA H815 variant is not able to be officially unlocked through the LG page.
EU carrier-variants are also not allowed. so far, UK, DEU, FRA, ITA seem to be the main countries offering the EU OPEN model.
I ordered mine from Handtec and it arrived here in NY via FedEx next day.
Ordered it on Tuesday, arrived yesterday.
It's the SIM-Free EU model.
I can confirm I've bought from clove before, not sure what their shipping to the US is like though

how much did you pay for shipping? any extra taxes since it came from UK? I've read that mobile phones shouldnt get taxed but havent gotten a solid answer anywhere.
ooh also... does it say which country yours came from? should say on the box somewhere. I emailed Handtec earlier and they said its EU model but wouldnt specify which country. for example the model from italy would say something like: "AITALD".. ITA being italy obviously. Other countries with EU OPEN I've seen are FRA UK and DEU

ooh also... does it say which country yours came from? should say on the box somewhere. I emailed Handtec earlier and they said its EU model but wouldnt specify which country. for example the model from italy would say something like: "AITALD".. ITA being italy obviously. Other countries with EU OPEN I've seen are FRA UK and DEU

Hiya,
I paid £434.99 for the phone and £11.90 for the FedEx priority shipping. The total was £446.89.
A FedEx import coordinator contacted me the same day I placed the order and requested that I fill out an FCC form (740, IIRC), and with a bit of Googled advice, I did so.
After a couple of revisions, the FedEx coordinator accepted the form and the result was that I paid no additional import or customs duties or fees, and the package was not delayed or held up. As I said, ordered on Tuesday from the U.K., in my hands Wednesday morning here in New York.
I left the phone's box at home, so I can't verify the phone's origin that way right now. I think I read on the box that it was manufactured in Taiwan, but I imagine almost all models are, regardless of intended market. The SKU on my Handtec invoice lists it as a LGH815.ADEULD. I'm not sure what that means or if that helps you at all. The included documentation (quick-start guide, etc.) was in English (and perhaps other languages further in, I didn't actually read it beyond a quick glance).
I can confirm that activating the phone with AT&T was as easy as taking my SIM card out of the AT&T-branded Samsung Galaxy S4 I was using until yesterday, and slotting it into the new LG G4. Easy-as-pie.
Hope this helps!

ahh nice. thank you... yes this is very helpful. so shipping wasnt much at all. and judging by your SKU it looks like you have a German (DEU) Black leather variant. So this would confirm it is indeed the EU OPEN model.. perfect. If I do go the H815 route it looks like these guys might be the cheapest... and I was looking for the DEU version... so that's perfect.
Also thanks for the heads up on the FCC form etc. I just wanted to be sure I wasn't going to be hit with some extra taxes after they deliver it. :good:
one last question... but unimportant if you dont have time to respond... but I'm curious if your G4 box came with the extra plastic battery cover? Seems every country is different but I know in Italy inside the main box (not a promo) there was an extra gold plastic battery cover.. but it seems some resellers are taking it out. I may just get the plastic back version anyway... but if i were to get the leather variant I'd want the option to swap to plastic.

Brilliant! I'm happy I could help out!
Yes, the FCC form concerned me, but it wound up being no big deal at all. Probably because this device is certified for use in the U.S. after all. I can provide you with the FCC ID and manufacturer's contact information I wound up filling into the form, if it comes to that. I initially touched base with Handtec about helping me fill out the form, but they claimed that they had never seen it before, so I wound up handling it myself with a bit of help from Google and the FedEx coordinator.
Handtec accidentally sent me the genuine leather BROWN model, and that's something that I'm currently reaching out to them about. But the box did include a second (plastic) back cover. I want to say it was the gold one, but since it came in a manilla sleeve, of sorts, and I didn't actually pull it out all the way, it might be the white one reflecting the color of the sleeve. Again, I left that in the box, which is currently at home. But I can double-check it tonight and circle back.
Included in the small box was the handset (with brown leather back installed), a separate plastic cover, a detached battery, a quick-start guide, an EU charger and separate micro USB cable, and a boxed up set of earbuds. Quadbeat 3s, or something like that? I left them in the box as well.
I can snap pics tonight, if you'd like.
I just chatted with one of the CSRs and she told me that the leather back ones do not come with extra back covers. Maybe she just read it from the site, as they are not listed there. I'll definitely be interested in seeing the picture of everything that comes with it. I currently have the T-moile brown leather version that I'm going to return thank the T-mobile B$ about unlocking it (I want to use it on AT&T).
Thanks

Yep, I hear you.
This is the first time I procure my own phone (non-subsidized, out of contract), and I did so primarily because I see how much of a mess the Samsung Galaxy S4 development scene turned into after a couple of hardware revisions. I was lucky enough to get a relatively early AT&T model that retained an exploitable bootloader; and so was actually able to enjoy all the benefits of custom recoveries, custom ROMs, etc. without having to deal with crippled workarounds like Safestrap. I really wanted to avoid any kinds of issues with my new device, so I lurked around XDA for the past week, researched, and wound up going with the EU H815 import from Handtec. I haven't actually tried to use LG's official bootloader unlock method, since I hear it may compromise some DRM modules or some such. Kind of waiting to see what the development scene manages to produce in the coming weeks/months. But not having root is quickly wearing away at my patience, so I might just bite the bullet regardless.
I'll be sure to snap some pics of the phone, packaging, included contents, etc. tonight and try to post them here. I'm not sure what the limitations are for junior members like me. Worst case scenario, I'll upload them to my Photobucket account or something. I've got a long workday ahead of me before I return home tonight, however.

Actually the international H815 model is available on eBay, and in a very good price.
For example here: http://www.ebay.com/itm//281696933232
or here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/191577825455
Prices drop a few dollars a day, so I would wait (and actually am waiting) for the price to be stable, and then buy it.
Neither of them are European version. These are Asian models that are not eligable for unlocked bootloaded (atleast not right now).

Not 100% sure about the "Never MSRP" seller but it's been confirmed that the other seller is selling Asian version (check the other thread). Also, most of his phones are shipped from Singapore.
Edit: Just got the confirmation from "never MSRP" that it's the Asian version H815T.

Wow never thought LG would be so annoying with unlocking the bootloader. It is the same exact model!!
I hope they will allow unlocking quickly for other variants, because these prices are much better.
Well, and what is this model supposed to be ?

I've attached three photos demonstrating what I received from Handtec. Two of them were taken from my old phone, and they came out hopelessly blurry. I apologize for this, as I didn't really think to check them last night. The best picture was taken with the new LG G4 and came out much clearer. This, I think, is the more pertinent photo anyway; so hopefully, no harm, no foul.

First of all, Thanks for the info~! This looks like a really good deal. My only follow up questions is that would you happen to know that is this "FedEx Import Coordinator" who contacted you was from the UK or the US?
I'm from Canada myself so if it's originating from the UK (Handtec), then I think I can safely presume the procedure would be more or less the same. If he's from the US though then I'll have to do some more research.
Thanks in advance for the help~!

Order placed!

Just took advantage of the TMobile BOGO on the V30+. I'll also be eligible for the LG $400 prepaid card. That'll pay for the down payments on both devices and T-Mobiles prepaid card will pay off one of the devices. ?
I was considering the same, buy you have to add a new line of service, so I don't have a need for that yet. But this is a great deal!

I was under the impression that if you took advantage of the BOGO offer, you could not use the $400 rebate as well on another LG product. Am I incorrect about that?

I didn't see anything stating the likes of that. The BOGO is through TMobile and the $400 is through LG. 2 separate agreements.

The $400 TOS agreement says you can't use it with the 2nd BOGO phone.
LG is probably financing the carrier deals, so technically it's all through LG?
Read point #2. The second phone in a BOGO deal is not eligible to be purchase #2 for the $400 gift card.
But point #1 says you can buy ANOTHER LG PRODUCT and still qualify for the $400 gift card.
Just can't be a BOGO phone, because you are already getting that FREE. You have to pay full price for TWO devices to get the $400 gift card.

You can only receive one prepaid card. Through LG. That doesn't count on the one from T-Mobile.
That's stating you can't go buy 2 other LG products and get 2 x $400 cards.....?

Read point #2. The 2nd phone may not eligible since you already got it for free (if the BOGO offer is really being done through LG).
But it says an "LG BOGO" offer. You need to make sure the deal through T-Mobile is through T-Mobile or is it really through LG?
I suspect it's through LG. I may be wrong.

I got the impression that the Second BOGO unit can't be treated as purchasing of Second Unit of LG in order to get $400 LG Gift Card as you already treated it as BOGO promo.
But you can buy any other LG product (mobile or electronics) as a Second Purchasing unit, you may also buy the 3rd unit of V30 if you want to, to get $400, I might be wrong , since English is not my first language.
The Wording is confusing but I have ordered from T-Mobile by adding the line

Don't know. The wording is kind of tricky. We will see when I submit mine in 15 days.
OK, just placed order for LG V30 US998 (carrier unlocked version) on B&H website. So, I'll qualify for the $400 gift card from LG when I order the 2nd one -- and I have 45 days from purchase of the 1st device to buy the 2nd device. (You have to buy the 1st device by December 2.) So, if they ship on December 5 (as predicted right now), I'll have this first one in hand in less than 2 weeks.
I don't expect bootloader unlock and root until end of December, maybe into January... If it's 6 weeks like the LG G6, will be mid-January. So, this first one may not be my daily driver, but I can mess around with it.
Then, within 45 days (probably about the time the LG V30 gets root), I'll order the 2nd one and get an even later "manufacture date" (December or even January manufacture date). THAT one will be my phone, and this first one will probably be my wife's. I'll have to order the 2nd one by January 10, if my time limit is 45 days from when I placed the first order.
Another reason I'm waiting to order the 2nd one is LG has not yet officially announced this open market US998 model. So, we don't REALLY know the specs. I'm hoping for a V30+ option... If so, that will be my 2nd LG V30, which I will use as my daily driver. I know B&H Photo has been listing this US998 for like THREE months now (I posted a screenshot in THIS thread in early September), and only in 64GB. But LG has still NOT officially announced this "open market" US998 phone, and no other sites except for B&H list it, even though there WILL be other authorized retailers. I'm hoping for a V30+ surprise when LG does officially announce/release that model.

Damn, I'm jealous.
There are no such kick ass deals in my country.
Looks like the v30 community is well established already.
Enjoy the lgv30s chazzmatt.
Just bought two cheapy cricket lg stylo 3 phones for my kid and a replacement backup phone. Didn't buy it for custom ROMs I bought it because it was $30.... but the phone has virtually zero community.
The stylo 3+ has a small community, but apparently that does not apply.
My 2015 Moto X Pure is finally dying, and I've been eyeballing the LG V30 as a replacement (need an SD card, headphone jack, and flagship specs). But I don't want a carrier-branded phone, since I'm kind of married to my custom roms and Substratum themes. The official U.S. LG V30 website is interesting. If you go there (http://www.lg.com/us/mobile-phones/v30) and click on the BUY NOW button, you get a ton of options for mostly carrier-branded models, and a few interesting "coming soon" options.
The B&H preorder button that's live is for the V30, but there's a shaded out button for the V30+ instead. Amazon has two buttons as well, for the V30 and V30+, but both are still disabled. There's a single V30 option for an "unlocked" model, but it too is disabled for now. Personally, I'm waiting to see the V30+ options from Amazon and B&H. I hope they're the open market versions. I won't place an order until things are better clarified. But I can only hope my trusty Moto holds out until then...

You paid $150 + the insurance cost monthly for as long as you've had the phone. Which appears to be 2 years. The cheapest insurance with T-Mobile is $10/month I believe. That's $240. $240 + $150 is $390. Plus however much you paid for the Lumia at that time.
Imagine me at a party.....

Probably a pricing error. Possibly a "missing" pallet of phones that someone is trying to clear out quick.
Interestingly, the description and title claim fedex shipping, but the shipping offered is $25 for China's standard "yea it'll get here eventually" shipping.
Still, it's there if anyone wants to give it a shot. Worst thing that can happen is you receive a rock and Paypal refunds your money.
And there's a competing seller:

$33 + $19 shipping. Total cost is a little lower.
And then confusingly says "FREE Fedex Shipping" to U.S. and a bunch of other countries.
Trying to figure out what the scam is. Because eBay/PayPal will give you the money back if you don't receive the item or you receive some kind of counterfeit, right?

https://www.ebay.com/itm/LG-V30-Plu...152868735242?_trksid=p2349526.m4383.l4275.c10

Something is going on. Here's a batch of (allegedly) NEW Verizon LG V30 -- with seller allegedly based in Florida -- selling for $40. FREE shipping.
"More than 10 available"
LG V30 VS996 V30 64GB Silver Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Smartphone

Has to be a pricing glitch on eBay side.

OK, but what about the Verizon one?
That seller only allows you to buy one item every 10 days. Something strange going on. I bought one, just to see. $40. Tampa, FL.
But I made sure to buy with my credit card, so I can easily do a chargeback when I discover what the scam is...
_______________
I just sent the seller a message, asking some questions.
He'll probably say it's mistake in listing, or something.
But he's listed as being in Tampa, FLORIDA, the listing is on eBay.com -- yet the monetary amount in in CANADIAN dollars.

This is a new Verizon LG V30 VS996?
V30 64GB Silver Verizon Wireless 4G LTE Smartphone
You say you have more than 10 available for sale, but you only allow sellers to buy one item every 10 days.
Can you tell me more about this phone, the price/quantity, and why that policy?

I don't know.. I'm really tempted to risk the $50 to see if I get a real H930ds. But what if it's stolen or something? And from China... Seems fishy, but I'd definitely run a custom ROM on it.

No custom ROM. The DS (double SIM) model doesn't have bootloader unlock.

I bought the Verizon one out of curiosity. If it's legit (for some very wierd reason I can't even imagine), a friend of mine with AT&T will gladly pay me $40 to replace her LG G3 with this. Yeah, Verizon model doesn't have LTE band 12/17. But it has LTE bands 2, 4, 5 and HSPA. For $40, she won't complain.
If it's a scam/wrong listing, I'll get my money back. I'm more curious why listed in Canada dollars on U.S. eBay.
And IF legit, why $40? Even if bad ESN (stolen/non payment of account), people try to charge more than that. Like the Sprint phone scams... But he has "more than 10" available, so sounds like a batch of refurbished -- yet it says "new", and even refurbished LG V30 are going for $300-$400.
I'm so skeptical, but curious what the "explanation" will be.

Aw, that wasn't even something I'd considered as a possibility. And out of the list of possibilities as a whole, it's the least interesting one : \
Oh well, it was an interesting puzzle while it lasted.
My order has just been shipped.
I wonder what I will actually receive!!!
