[Q] should i buy this phone now? - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

so i brok my note 4 screen ytd, and it cost me too much to repair it again (i already broke once). I decided to switch from samsung as its built quality is terrible (also, i hate the ugly home button). i m actually looking forward to get this phone. is it still worth to get it now? as i am quite busy lately, i dont plan to root it anymore.. can i still freeze some built in apps i dont need?
thanks

Hey, man. I'm having the same dilemma. I'm looking for a 300-350 $ smartphone and I think this is the best available, but don't know if this phone is worth it after a year from it's release. Can anybody advice us?

I got the phone less than a month ago. As far as I'm concerned, it's still right up their with the top of the line phones spec wise. Nothing wrong with getting this phone now. 3GB of RAM, a fast processor, updated to Lollipop. Not sure what else anyone needs in a smartphone. Plus a 5.5" screen with a great display and LG's UX is much better than Samsung's TW if you ask me.
To the OP, you won't be able to freeze apps without root, but you can uninstall updates/disable any app that you don't want to use or see anymore. You can't completely uninstall them, but they won't be running or seen. Any Lollipop phone can do this.

Ive just done exactly what you folks are asking today. Returnred my Note 4 as I really hate TW with a passion and that horrible screen touch "pop pop" everytime you press something. I bought the N4 a few days ago, hoping that Sammy had done something with TW in 501 update, albeit they havent.. and I found I had no use for the S-Pen, but I do think the N4 QHD screen is stunning. I returned the N4 and bought a G3 and got money back... .. amazing phone, loving it so far.. and the audio is awesome, with the QuadBeat Headphones and 1Amp speaker.

I agree ... The G3 is a great phone and apart from the G4, theres nothing on the market that touches it.. the S6 still has TW, The One M9 is just an M8 with a new camera. theres no new Nokia/MS flagships yet, the NExus 6 is an alternative if you want pure Android, so ATM... the G3 is one of the best phones out there until the G4 comes down in price (which I cant wait for), but at the moment the G4 is too pricey.
Go for it, buy the G3, you can pick up a Brand New unlocked/Unbranded G3 for about £350/$400 .. so yeah... I recommend it
Good luck

Thank you guys, I'll follow your advices and my gut. Soon I'll be part of the G3 family.

I got mine from amazon Wednesday to replace my z2. The phone is amazing. http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/aw/d/B00...ords=lg+g3&dpPl=1&dpID=41uvCd6+PVL&ref=plSrch this is where i got mine

I'm a phone-a-holic lol and rarely keep one for more than 6 months before moving onto something else newer and better. Over the years this is by far the best phone I've owned. It almost seems impossible to brick. It can be but simple to get out of a soft brick. Go for the g3 you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for your answers, guys. I have a nother question: can the new or recent owners clarify if the few issues reported (lag related to the cpu governor, overheating, etc.) have been fixed recently with OTA updates? Thanks.

Should I return my HOX and buy an S3 ?

Hi everyone!
Well, i just bought a HOX, and it has 1 dead/stuck pixel an one "hot pixel".
Its not a big issue, i can live with it, but im really worried on getting worse problems in the future, like the loss of signal, wifi, etc.
While my original idea is to keep the phone because i really like HTC sense interface, and the phone itself is pretty quick, im still in time to return it and buy an S3 instead.
I payed a LOT of money for this phone (i bought it factory unlocked) and I want to be 100% sure that its a good inversion, as I dont frequently change my phone (im gonna keep it 2 years at least).
What should I do?
Thanks for reading!
Try dead pixel fixer app from play store.
Also the majority of one X users have no problem, i had a yellow spot problem, htc fixed it free under warranty, no wifi issues, and nothing else after that, its really your own decision. As you have posted in a HTC one X thread
we are bound to tell you to keep it as we are biased towards the device we own, but it is a great device, screen is better than s3.

Thanks a lot for answering!
My main concern is about the probability of the device having major problems in future...
The major issues such as screen, wifi, 3g signal and things like that, tend to appear in the very first use of the device or they appear after some time?
Sorry for being so repetitive, but i really want to be sure that im not going to have severe issues with the device in the near/long future, mainly because as I live in a "Third world" country, I have only 1 week of warranty (the warranty that the seller/importer gave to me). There is no official HTC support in my country and if i have to send it to USA for RMA, it would cost really a LOT of money. And as I said before I paid a lot of money for the device (about 5 times the price you get one new in the USA or Europe).
Thanks again!
I bought HOX few weeks ago and not experiencing any problems (which are not normal).
I unlocked the phone via HTCdev.com, flashed recovery, and using ARHD.
I guess it's newer, and those problems already fixed by HTC, I don't think you can suddenly get low signal issue if you don't have it now...
My phones part ID is SH24L i think its relatively newer.
Whats your part ID noamsch6 ?
Thanks!
Yes, buy an sg3 plastic phone and miss all tegra 3 games
How can we know what will happen in the future. Cmon.

i rooted my hox and i gots a yellow spots pop up on the screen when i use it
i went to htc care and they say they will replace the lcd because its a hardware issue
so im waiting the lcd arrive because they dont have stock right know
thats my major problem
so maybe after i fix it im going to buy a SMG 3

hi
im sure u have warranty go back get it fixed or replaced and enjoy
i got this phone for the looks besides its HTC no offense to SG3 but i just fell in love with this phone and got it with the kind a development u have here u will enjoy it dude mine is around a month old i have rooted and all and im using a custome rom iv had no problem what so ever:good::laugh:
No.
Personally I would swap it for the S3 if you don't do much gaming as above comment suggested.... It will keep its value longer too I reckon.
I had one x for 2 months and was really good phone, quality of screen is awesome, fast, good camera, no problem at all with hardware issues. But now i bought s3 blue color, and i just feel good with s3, its really amazig in all aspects. Runing JB, s beam, s voice, motions are really fantastic, and rooting process is really fast and good with samsung. I knew it becouse i jad s2 before. Its just my opinion but: s3 wins for me. Better in all things for me.

I just got an s3 for my sis and I'm really glad I have the HOX. Owning the S3 is the same banal experience as owning an s2 and note, it's boring but feature packed. Screen is nothing compared to the HOX and speed improvements are marginal at best.

Lol, like i sad its just my opinion, I had both of them, and i didn't want to say bad things for one X, i liked one x till i got my S3, and was the best phone till i got S3, my Hox was rooted, runing Arhd, everything was good with Hox, Ok battery and overheat was not good. and one thing was terrible, I use to much MHL, and need with subbtitles, and if you Run MX player or whatever with Software Dec... your phone maybe will start burn
If you want a stress-free experience, I guess you have a better shot w samsung, not saying that Samsung's quality control and customer service are great. Otherwise, keep it and pray for the best lol
The s3 will have problems just like the hox and all new top spec smartphones for its down to HTC build style and the screen is better stuck with the hox

[Q] opinion needed thinking of selling it already..

Need help guys these niggles are starting to bother me...
1.the heat problem when playing games for longer than 5 mins is stupid its even worse when you turn off the auto turn down brightness restriction off..super gets hot...if you dont play games its fine general browsing etc
2.the warm colour effects are not right colours look washed out at times..
3.battery barely lasts a day which i think is linked to heat problem..cpu working at 1 million miles per hour lol.
4.qhd tech makes either games look horrible or look ok or dont exists on the playstore (device not compatible) or some games simply crash
I love the looks, the feel, and operation
Im an occasional user, dont play games for long, great phone
But my question is will firmwares fix these problems?? Or is it the fact if we dont play games. And put up with rest its fine??
It's a new device so in my opinion you should wait for firmware updates rather than selling it now.

I know but 801 chip i feel isnt really designed for qhd..where the rumored prime has 805..so lg had to make sacrifices to make it all work how it should.
It puzzles me how LG allowed a phone to come out with issues that in many cases isnt minor the heat issue especially..and compensate they turn the brightness down turning tge restriction off on the hidden simply fries when you are playing any games
I hope LG has magic up there sleeves i do..
Sell it... to me for $10.
If you don't like it, sell it
Personally I don't have any of the issues you're mentioning, extra heat is no big deal in my opinion, and I play games a lot.... Battery time is good for me, around 4h to 4h30 screen-on time, better than my tweaked S4 was.
In fact the only issue I have with the phone currently is the size, I still find it a little too big for my hands, but I'm sure I'll get used to it eventually
For your question, firmware fixes will probably make a little bit of a difference for battery / heating, but you're likely to have better results with custom kernel, when they become available (I'd say we still have a couple of weeks to wait before we see some serious development happening on the G3).

I must admit, I'm contemplating selling mine too though I don't really have any of the problems you mention. Just not feeling it for some reason. I have backlight bleed all the way round but, again, it doesn't bother me much.
I'm thinking about the galaxy prime (or F). Ideally something with a 5.2inch amoled screen (1080p would do) with slim bezel and metal back, removable battery, sd-card slot...
The Xiaomi mi3 looks nice if the spec was upped a bit

Yep same here you expect to have god in the palm of your hands and you don't I'm thinking about the prime as well funnily enough,,,,that excites me more than what I have and the thing isn't confirmed if its real yet and plus it will have a smaller screen...I like the lg g3 size its nice...
Yes a few more weeks...hopefully devs we pick up the pace with custom roms etc,,,
I have always had the reasoning, soon as you doubt something and want to sell it. Do so, otherwise you'll be looking for niggles and you'll find them and then it'll just annoy you until you sell it on.
Ultimately only you can decide, but if you're already doubting it. Get shot now while you can and won't lose any money.

Hi Guys...
Well its on ebay now...I just wasn't feeling it...
Good luck guys, hope all works out LG fix the kinks and the devs flood the gates with custom roms etc..
I am in the same boat as you. Think about selling or returning it everyday but the issue is I am on AT&T. If I return it then I don't see any other viable option. Not interested in S5 ( no more Samsung), can't stand the black bar on M8 and obviously a big no for microscopic iPhone. So I would have to sell it. So for the time being I am just using it carefully and if I don't see any unlocking for bootloader I will sell it in a month and go back to using my N5.
Returning mine to cpw for a refund even tho I've had for a month there willing to refund me
just sell it and get an iphone

well here's my logic. the moment you need Roms and root to fix a out of the box experience its going back. :good: sometimes its nice to buy a phone and just use it. but yes this is XDA so go ahead throw rocks at me
I played with one at a store the other day and was not impressed. It definitely looks and feels nicer than the G2 (I owned) but I saw so much lag I couldn't believe it.
If LG sold that as a Nexus I'd sell my Nexus 5 in a split second. They've come much farther with their UI than the G2 (hated that UI with a passion) but it's still clunky.
There is NO reason lag should be present on a 2014 flagship phone with 3GB of RAM. No excuse other than pooey software.

point blank 2k screen. 801 and adreno 330. dont care what anyone says. same thing applies to a pc when pushing more pixels

[Q] Am I the only one who enjoys this phone

I see post about laggy and blah blah I mean this phone isn't perfect but with some adjustments it's a bad ass phone I love it I mean I would love root but it's not a reason to return the phone or anything.. Just saying this phone is really good imho
I agree. It's just that the shortcomings are detrimental for the user experience depending on the issue.
I can see battery life being one if you're a busy person.
Touch screen will drive anyone absolutely bananas
All depends on the batch I guess
Im loving the phone, prob best I've had. Not having root is a small problem but I'll live with that. I've not had touch screen issues or over heating problems.
Its not you, people who are happy dont *****. You only hear the complainers, and there are always going to be people who expect manufactured products to be flawless with no exception or fail rate. Just not realistic. The phone is really nice, has great picture and a great camera.. I have owned several different brands and recently an S6. THere is nothing wrong with this phone. I do feel that at this current rate we may never see root, but i also find this being the first phone that would not be and end all problem for me. If you are happy with the phone, what else matters?
I love it. I do wish tap to wake and the knock code worked better, but they'll be fixed someday. They do seem to work better after rebooting, so I reboot occasionally throughout the day when I'm putting my phone away.
Once we get root and custom roms this phone will be awesome.
Be sure to block the OTA updates so the carriers can't prevent you from getting root!
The G4 is a very well balanced product. Like anything though it has its flaws and it won't please everyone, namely as we all have different likes but most important expectations.
I never expect for my phone's purchased to act like a time travelling device (although beam me up scotty that would be cool ?).
What i do expect is functionality and the G4 meets that for me. Just one thing that Google needs desperately is better optimisation between software & hardware.
Android M who knows may be the answer to our prayers.
But overall hell yeah the G4 is good ?
I think the phone is perfect in most all ways. Software can be buggy and lag at times but that will all get cleared up soon enough!
I upgraded from a Galaxy S5 and even though it isn't a huge leap in terms of performance and battery life (battery life quite the opposite, unfortunately) I enjoy my phone very much.
And as I have an international H815 I rooted it the first day I could unlock the BL. 10A was silky smooth and my only "regret" is that I actually flashed 10C. It's a bit less smooth, a bit laggier now and then. Could be an app too, though. So. all things considered I'm very happy. I don't understand why the leather back doesn't have Qi but that's a different beef ..
Great phone, great UI (though I hate having to use an app like ROM Toolbox to change font and the korean crap themes from LG are absolutely horrible).
Regarding all the threads about problems and issues .. Well, that's what XDA is mostly about. You don't need to discuss how great a phone works, you need to discuss and solve problems..
And since no one's, as far as I can understand it, developing custom roms/CM-builds for it yet all you could discuss are problems.
Does it seem like G4s have lots of issues? Not really. Considering the volumes of manufactured phones you will always have broken phones that slipped through quality control. Firmwares are tested but it's impossible to soak test/lab test a phone's software with every app in the App Store..
Not to mention issues with carriers like the retarded US carriers that disable features and sideload their own generic crapware apps and push updates like there's no tomorrow...
All the forums of all the phones I've had since I started reading XDA have looked exactly the same: Early adopters with, sometimes, premature software/firmware ***** and moan, after a while custom roms/root happen and people cheer like madmen, then ***** and moan about premature custom roms.
And the circlejerk is complete.

I have the H815 rooted with TWRP and I couldn't be happier with this phone. I don't have touch screen issues, or lag issues, or camera issues, etc. Coupled with the battery and sdcard promos, it was a win/win/win for me when I bought this phone.

I have actually been LOVING my G4. My old daily driver was the Galaxy Note Edge but then I stumbled on this fella (my first in the G-Series and second LG device) and kind of fell in love with it right off the bat.
So I ended up picking up one for a new daily driver. Right after that though I found out about the no-root issue so then I went out and picked up a couple more of them (I figure I might as well do my part as far as root goes and that will probably end with me bricking one or two of them, so better safe than sorry).
TL;DR -- Yes, I love the hell out of this phone.

Going to buy LG G4, Need some guidance.

I am going to buy LG G4. I have heard a lot about hardware failure of this phone. So, what is your opinion on this? Need your guidance, please.

My opinion would be to buy a G3 or Moto X Pure, if you're looking for something on the cheaper end. G4 is a mess.
If extra cash isn't an issue I'd say wait and check out the HTC 10 tomorrow. The Huawei Mate 8 looks sweet, too, if you can find one.
A lot of boot loop issues with early production models. It may not be the case with later production models, but these boot loop issues take 5-8 months to show. If you are buying brand new, make sure you have at least a 12 month warranty.

What is your opinion on HTC One M9? Should I consider it?

I had am M9 for less than a week. It's a beautiful phone that functioned fine but it got hot fast. I had GPS on for maybe five minutes and the phone got hot enough for me to feel it on my leg through my jeans. Very warm. If you can handle that, it's a nice phone.

What about OP2?
I've never owned a of the OP devices, only because I could never get ahold of them.
Currently, I'm super excited about the HTC 10. It is sounding amazing. Can't wait for a few reviews.

If I may throw my hat in the ring, I have a G4 and am quite dissatisfied. I am getting a Nexus for my next phone and I suggest you take a good look at them as well.
G4 is a beautiful device it does as commands and is loyal. I bought mine recently and it looks elegant with brown leather. Yes it had hardware failure with 505 and i did get mine keeping that in mind. I own a 512 EU H model. Rooted. Works as a charm. Still optimus has its moments but
Thank god it isnt touchwiz. The camera is jewel and it paints magnificently on the patriot class 10 64gb i reserved for it. Other than that its your call.

Another vote for the nexus 6p from me. A big amoled screen with front facing speaker running the latest android is a perfect combination. It may be expensive outside the US but if u already consider the m9, the 6p won't be much of a stretch in term of budget. No sdcard and removable battery are nexus' only downsides

Any specific reason that you're dissatisfied with the G4?
Nexus are certainly nice phones though

I was excited because I finally got a phone that wasn't trash and was expecting to get the ROMs and Kernels etc. that a flagship usually has and was lucky enough to get with lesser phones like the original LG Volt. I was quickly screwed by LG. A spectacular phone ruined by hardware problems and a locked bootloader. I won't have these problems with a Nexus, plus the price is better and it has support for GSM and CDMA networks. I can go to and from any carrier I choose while not having to wait 9 months for them to push OTAs or load my phone with trash. It is for all intents and purposes, my dream phone. The only thing missing is external storage, which may change with the next one. If you don't care about root and what not, buy a Samsung. The hardware and software are superb, unless you don't like TouchWiz of course. I don't mind OEM skins, so it doesn't bother me but some hate it. If you don't want a sammy, I would also recommend HTC flagships, they are praised by everyone I know who owns one.

I guess it can be summed up as having too high of expectations.

Expectations can really be everything. If having complete control over the phone is the top priority, getting a Nexus is the obvious solution. Especially if you want other features like GSM/CDMA compatibility. And the quick updates are great of course.
I suppose I have the benefit of lower expectations - well, mainly in regards to the lack of an unlocked bootloader and the potential for bootloop issues (or the need for a warranty). For me, expandable storage is a must. As is having a great camera (and all the phones mentioned seemingly do). I also like the replaceable battery - as it has the potential to add long-term life to the phone. OEM skins aren't the worst thing, though TouchWiz isn't my favorite. Obviously, I would love complete control of the phone, or at least the ability to completely remove and bloatware I don't want, but most of the time I am happy enough using a launcher like Nova.
The Nexus is a little big for me as well. I'm coming from a 5" screen, so even the 5.5" on the G4 is a little big - and likely would be too big if not for the relatively small size of the phone otherwise. When I was at Best Buy recently, the S7 was definitely the best device to hold in my hand. Looks great, works great, but cost too much for me right now. Also, while this may not be a factor for everyone, the Gear VR did not meet my expectations - and certainly gave me concerns about impact on my eyes and/or brain, as well as doubtful how long the battery would last using it
In the end, ordering a G4 (with a US warranty) + case, screen protector and tax was less than $350. Sure, I won't be able to root it (at least right now), and I will always be cautious about the bootloop occurring, but that seems like a great deal for less than half the price of the S7, and $200+ less than a Nexus.

Good luck. I hope you like it.

What phone is next guys??

Just wanna see if i can start a discussion/information depot as to which new phones we root toot and twrp booting, majisk using, custom rom lovin' and xposed framework abusing SOBs can look forward to... after our s6's vaporize from all the xposed mods were runnin' (some of us at least ).
Is it an unlocked s8? Does that even have any dev'ing going on?
How about a nexus 6p? Or maybe the next nexus phone...
If your like me you have only had sammys since the s1... remember the epic 4g with a slide out keyboard, or ill do ya one better, the moment? Is keyboard button mapping Emulator heaven worth the downgrade? LOL
Or are we gonna just keep our s6s forever?
Life is tough and ever since these locked bootloaders on our beloved flagships, its not fair either.
What are we gonna do? What have you guys heard/learned about the competition?
Yes i could do all the research myself, or we can have a fun discussion about it and save us all a few google searches!
I think it's the s8 for me...

I think it's the s8 for me.
I'm super disappointed the the Snapdragon version (US Version) of the galaxy s8 is apparently unable to be rooted by either a SuperSU method or a Magisk method (or any other method)- and I will have to find a way to live without Titanium Backup, Xposed, PMP, etc etc etc.
That said- it appears that "Package Disabler Pro" https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s8/help/package-disabler-pro-safe-to-disable-t3593305 will at least give me some granular control back, especially as I fight to minimize the spam and bloatware.
I think I'll have to combine that with whatever non-root methods I can to piece together some sanity.
Too bad, but the battery on my S6 has started to drift badly with age, and I think it is just time to move on.
Good news I suppose is that it is waterproof. Always irked me a bit that s5, s7, and s8... but NOT s6 were...
Ya my battery is on the fritz too. I can squeeze another hour SOT if i under clock/under volt but thats not why we bought these phones right?
I was checkin the s8 out the other day and i may be leaning towards the s8+. I dn the curved edges are cool but the s8 screen seemed a bit thin to me, maybe just not used to the new curves. I tell you what tho that screen is the whole dang phone! Very sexy.
Not sure how i feel about the capacitive buttons gone but not a deal breaker, more screen cant be bad.
Remember if your up for an upgrade to call the 1800 number to get the 200ish dollar upgrade price to avoid the monthly lease, thats how i do it, plus u trade in your s6 if its worth it. Prolly get that phone for 200 or less out the door.
Life without root tho gosh... at least we got nova, maybe a modded youtube app thatl work without root. Its just an apk hunt for all our tweaks that we like.
An unlocked s8 tho, good on all carriers. But without root we may not be able to get wifi calling or volte or other carrier specific goodies, least thats what i heard.
Its the phone we always wanted, thats why im so intrested in the unlocked version, even if i havento wait for a deal. Just imagine... s8, rooted and free to dominate. I havnt even looked into its new LTE advanced perks if there are any, like tmobiles 256 qam 4x4 mimo stuff
Looks like samsung will lease the unlocked s8 for 26 bucks a month for 24 months... not like I have the credit for anything like that.
Best buy got em for 600 somethin. Wonder how much our s6 is worth? Ive also wondered if you could somehow use an upgrade on the unlocked version. Almost certain its a no but hey we can still dream.
There is some dev'ing goin on for the s8 unlocked but looks like mostly international variants, exynos mostly.

Yeah- Unfortunately I think the $200 buyback is for other carriers like verizon, etc. Sprint I don't think offers that much-- but I'd love to be wrong about it.
I went ahead and ordered the s8 from bestbuy for 600 total (they do 150 off, 25/month for 24 months) and you own not lease it. They also throw in a fast wireless charging dock.
If I could have found an arctic silver one with a clean ESN I would have gotten one on ebay (no tax! save 70 bucks!)-- there were black and arctic gray ones brand new in box recently that went for 550 there. No free charging dock- but whatev- you can get a good one of those for 20 bucks on amazon, so overall that saves around 100 from even the best buy deal.
I'm still really really bummed about the no root thing. I've had root for so long on so many phones I don't even know what kind of automating apps are out there (ie replacements for things like tasker/automateit pro, etc) --- or how much control the non-root versions give.
On the same boat my beautiful s6 is the first phone I didn't upgrade after my contract was due.
None of the new phone are keeping the features from the s6 like the IR blaster which is why I haven't upgraded.
I also used to own an epic 4g miss the full physical keyboard
Oh dont remind me. I use my IR blaster alllll the time. I dont know how many relatives and friends houses dont have remotes for their tvs, and i swoop in and save the day.
BEST IR APP IMO - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tekoia.sure.activities

My S6 is falling apart. I am going to the Moto G4 pretty soon. My S6 has so many issues so the downgrade is more of an upgrade. Either that or I might activate my S5 (It's better than my S6 in almost everyway minus the cracked screen)
Edit: After my contracts up (I am only going to use the Moto G4 until my contracts up) in 6 months I will most likely spring for the HTC 10. Although I will have to pay for sunshine to get S-OFF to flash LOS. Might be worth it honestly.

Yep gonna have to check out the htc linup. I feel ya tho on the downgrade upgrade, i really considered the 6p just from all the development the phone has. Give AOSP a shot. Last phone i ran AOSP on was one of the early galaxys. Or cyanogen mod i think it was.
But we galaxy consumers are here for the specs. So buying older is always tough for me. I heard the 6p flys tho.
Any other phones got an ir blaster these days?
Update: these phones have ir blasters
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_devices_with_IR_blaster
Looks like the pixel 2 may release this october... def check the specs when they're out

AOSP is so much better than TouchWiz. My s5 has CM13 and it's blazing fast. I've done speed tests on my s5 vs s6. S5 wins in almost every way. LOS 14 is even faster than CM13 but I am waiting for xposed support before I upgrade. I'd definitely recommend trying out some AOSP Roms on the n6p (although I don't think they'll be as needed as it already has stock Android)
As for the IR blaster... I don't know. I know that there are some IR blasters that you can plug into the headphone jack of your phone (that is if your phone has a headphone jack ) I think the HTC 10 might. I'll look.
Edit: Nope. HTC 10 doesn't have one and the HTC U 11 doesn't seem to have one either.

I totally forgot about the next samsung note. Wonder if it will be unlockable. Certainly a big NO but who knows. I honestly dont think im gonna get anything but an unlocked s8 or s8+. But, gonna have to save a bit longer and do s'more research.

Dude guys. My friend here in mississippi used his UPGRADE PRICE on the UNLOCKED galaxy s8. Walked out the door with the unlocked version for around 150 bucks.
Was this a fluke? Did they just hook him up? New guy mistake?
It is worth noting that the carrier was "C Spire" ?? Here in meridian, MS.
Or should i walk into best buy like I own the place and demand an s8 unlocked for $200?
This gets me excited. Your thoughts?
