Smoothness of Stock ROM with greatness of RRO Themes

What is AOSP?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps.
Anyway to get a working system I added some changes from CodeAurora Forum and CyanogenMod. I added also 3 non-AOSP features for a better user experience (Advanced Reboot, "Clear All" button in Recents and an option to delete screenshots from the notification area) and I'm NOT going to add something other.
What is RRO?
RRO (Runtime Resource Overlay) which was designed by google and its modded by our developers to include it into AOSP ROMs.In short,RRO is a Theme Engine replacement and it can do wonders!
Features
AOSP
Layers 2.1 (U don't find this in all the ROMs)
Clear all recents
Advanced reboot
Ambient display
Optimizations for battery
Some framework commits
More will come soon.
Download
Android File Host Folder
Gapps
Features
Working:
RIL

How can I install it?
-Requires Unlocked Bootloader & a custom recovery
1) Place ROM & Gapps in your virtual SD

ohww yeah...thank you ..
I'm very sleepy lol

Hey @srisurya95, so this is basically the AOSP posted by LuK1337 + Full RRO Layers support?
I'm already downloading to test and just wanted to know, since I'm currently on AOSP provided by LuK1337.

I can't install, it write something about sse Linux and crashes twrp

Not sure if it is a issue with the Layers implementation on the ROM for Titan or with some themes I tested, but some the themes I installed (like element ui) have a oval icon instead of the usual circle one on the dialer icon. On the other apps all icons are normal (circle).
This does not happen with all Layers theme (inversion UI for example is normal).

Testing dirty flash over LuK1337 version.
UPDATE - Dirty flash worked no issue.
Themes seem to be all good as well. Havent seen any weirdness, especially in the quick settings/settings panels. Nice work srisurya95!

Sorry to bother you again @srisurya95, but would you mind to tell me what is your plan on updates for this ROM?
Like, will it be updated weekly, or when you feel it has a important source update by Alberto or/and Luk or there is no plan regarding this?
I'm not really asking for ETA or anything, I just want to understand what do you have in mind for this ROM, since I really liked and it became now my daily driver.

If I understood correctly, this version of pixel rom has Google apps installed? Is it possible to provide a version without Google apps and services? I am very eager to try this, but I'm looking to use a non-Google rom.
Many thanks

Awesome
Wow you're awesome! Thanks so much for this, I was eager to get my hands on Kit Kat (and for that matter, anything 4.1+)
Some things don't seem to be working, but I don't need them because I had never seen them before:
the Dark Pixel option
Halo doesn't show up ever
DashClock FCs everytime.
I think I saw some more stuff, I'll be happy to report them if it helps you!
Anyway, so awesome
Even the ****ing font on this renders better than it did on Sony's custom ROM.

Is it possible to merge stock multisim with this awesome ROM .
Stock multisim have many more features .
Great Job
Great news!
I used stock AOSP by @Alberto97 on my Moto G 1st Gen. and it was the most stable and fluid ROM i found. Thanks @LuK1337 for the efforts.
The one annoying thing we Dual-Sim users experience is that there is an error message at the top of the Lockscreen indicating that the second SIM is not working. Please tell us how we can get rid of that :fingers-crossed:

What is AOSP?
AOSP is Android as Google publish without other modifications. More or less AOSP is the Nexus devices stock rom without gapps.
Anyway to get a working system I added some changes from CodeAurora Forum and CyanogenMod. I added also non-AOSP features for a better user experience ("Clear All" button in Recents) and I'm NOT going to add something other.
What is SUBSTRATUM?
A theme engine based on RRO (Runtime Resource Overlay) which was designed by google and its modded by our developers to include it into AOSP ROMs.In short,RRO is a Theme Engine replacement and it can do wonders! Basically its layers, but themes apply on the fly, no reboots required! Plus, fonts, boot animations and sound packs can also be themed.

The ROM is very fluid, for now only praise, but the GPS does not work, I did the test now and Cerberus did not find my phone. You can fix this in the next update?

It worked perfectly with Xposed and GravityBox to stay 100% just repair the GPS and SIM settings to restart change every time. The battery saving is amazing. Sorry for the English because I am using a translator.

It's like any other AOSP ROM out there. Looks the same as stock as a matter of fact.
Hi,
I have some questions about this ROM
What is the difference between this ROM and AOSP-CAF? Will the user experience be different?
The AOSPB ROM's have trouble with security settings, it's impossible to encrypt the ROM. Will I have this trouble with this ROM?
It's great to have so many ROM for our device! Thanks to the developers and thanks in advance for the answers.

Krexus-CAF is what the name implies. The Krexus unique combination of mods, on top of a clean uptodate and latest CAF source.
Built mainly of top of AOSP-CAF (with permission) and using only what's necessary from all the other great non-nexus device supporting ROMs (CyanogenMod, Dirty Unicorns, AOSPB, Tesla etc), Krexus-CAF tries to provide the maximum compatibility possible with CM-based device trees while keeping a small ROM base.
Lead Developer: @KreAch3R
About Krexus:
Krexus was born out of a simple necessity. The latest releases of stock Android (namely lollipop and marshmallow) were pretty close to my idea of a perfect android ROM, yet missing some elements, which are meant to be included in stock Android, at least for me. Starting from a clean AOSP environment, only specific features and fixes are included, which are personally tested, with one goal in mind. To create a stock like android ROM, "as it should be".
This means, and I mean it, a ROM like how stock nexus image should be, for me.
This isn't going to get bloated. Most UI "features" are already there.
This isn't going to start picking commits relentlessly, I will test them personally and only add things that 1) work like they should 2) would fit in a stock ROM.
This isn't going to be updated very quickly. Only security and bug fixes will be pushed out ASAP.
This is going to follow Google's & AOSP guidelines as closely as I can

I am very proud to publish this rom finally, I loved it on my Nexus 5 and I am so happy it is now on the Moto X Play. Very nexus like with all the essential features they miss.
Thanks @KreAch3R @Vatsal & Dark-falcon for helping and teamwork. Very happy with the outcome.

Hi! I am new to the forum and I to own a Moto X Play and have just set out on my journey to unlocking and using roms to their full potentials. But I don't know how to create roms? I was wondering if you could somehow help me? Would talking privately be better?

There are a lot of guides on xda for that. And they will explain it better than me

Downloaded and tried. Just like a nexus rom with minimal set of features (too minimal for my taste). The best option for those who want stock rom with some minor customizations. Rom is fluid like every other. Also other users do note that the rom isn't pre rooted. Great rom . Thanks developer.

Its a known fact that xposed doesn't plays good with custom roms. Try on your own risk.
