Here some screenies of the rom the way u will have it after flash...
And here some screenies of my own devices to show what layers can do =)...

bugs...
Excellent ROM... So far, I've found that I can't add the weather clock widget, (it goes through the whole adding process fine, but then it's not there - the other widgets seem ok), and the proximity sensor doesn't seem to work during calls, so the screen is prone to accidental touches.
Thanks

I will check for proximity sensor...and about weather widget here its fine

Very nice rom, but I recognise that ther is no deep sleep at present. For anyone else?

I have none of these problems. Deep sleep is fine, clock widget is there on homescreen and lockscreen and proximity sensor is working like it should. I even use proximity calling without a problem.
Maybe only dirty flash problems... I have done a clean installation with tk gapps.

I did do a full wipe, but what I didn't do, that I usually would, is flash boot.IMG first. Do you think that would do it? I was coming from Validus, so I figured it would be OK, (not that I know anything about it - just uneducated guess). Thanks
_edit_
Flashed Tesla boot.img and wiped cache and dalvik. Now proximity works fine, but still no weather clock widget. It's strange - if I use checkmark button after setting widget prefs, I get force close on Slim Launcher. If I use back button, it just goes back to home screen, with no widget. Anyway, I'm not too worried about it - there's more than enough widgets to choose from, just kind of curious...

Haven't done that either, shouldn't make a difference. Did you really format data, system and cache? That's all I have done before flashing ROM and gapps.

Just got the same thing with email widget... Force close, then restart with no widget. I don't think it's worth it for me to reinstall from scratch just for widgets, but interesting...

Does it working in multirom as a second system?

@Alx31: Can you please add support for addon.d backup functionality?
Maybe a little OT but is it OK for you if we use this thread to discuss tipsy OS too?

Hum ok for addon.d, it will be there on next update.
And about tipsy, i can make a build but no xda thread yet for it, just come on G+ community

Chameleon OS (or ChaOS for short) is a custom Android ROM that gives the user more control than they can experience on any other Android ROM. Starting with a CyanogenMOD base, we customize each piece to give ultimate control while maintaining the simplicity we all love about Android. The most notable feature of ChaOS is the theme engine, which can apply different pieces of themes in a true mix-and-match style. The launcher has been completely overhauled with tons of options that you'd normally need to download a third-party launcher for, such as home screen previews, folder sorting, and folder icon styles. The Messaging app has also had some UI retouches, including messaging bubbles and quick emoji button.
The entire framework of ChaOS has been modified around the theme engine, allowing for custom fonts, boot animations (with animated preview), and themes. No longer do you have to try to find the perfect theme, with Chameleon OS you can patch it together with your favorite pieces from different themes. Messaging, Phone, Status Bar, icons, everything can be set completely individually from each other which provides the capabilities to completely re-imagine your phone. Creating themes for the ChaOS Theme Engine is superbly simple and has extreme versatility.
Even with all of the features we've currently implemented, ChaOS will continue to mature with even more refined settings and features. We will be completely open source and will welcome developers to join us, whether it be by maintaining a device or utilizing our gerrit review. Even if you're not a developer, your voice will not go unheard. We will continually poll our users for the most wanted features and do our best to implement them.

Thanks, looks interesting. Can't we install this with a dual recovery so not to screw up the camera functionality?
@Fedr0 did you read the post at all? The second line says you need an unlocked bootloader...
Gesendet von meinem Xperia Z1 mit Tapatalk
Needing an unlocked bootloader I was under the impression that doing so would break the camera, however in the OP it states that the camera not focusing is a bug ?
Does this suggest that the camera works after the bootloader is unlocked?

Well, the not focussing is the issue with the camera after unlocking afaik... And if you can't focus, it's pretty useless. So, unlocking still messes up the camera and it's not so much a bug of this rom but a bug/issue after unlocking.

I understand that but thought that unlocking made the camera not work altogether so how can it be working on this rom after unlocking is what i ment?
Thanks by the way.
The focus is what breaks. That's the way it is on all Roms right now, you get a picture, but it's blurred, because focus doesn't work.

No you can't. Installing a custom kernel (kernel modified in *any* way) requires the bootloader to be unlocked in order to be installed. Since all AOSP/AOSP-based/CM ROMs require a different kernel from the stock kernel you need an unlocked bootloader. You can flash the ROM, but it won't boot.

Hehehe..
Best Lollipop ROM I've tested yet for the Z1. Looking forward to even greater things, such as the implementation of custom navring shortcuts, lockscreen actions/shortcuts, a dark material theme, custom lockscreen widget support etc..
Bugs encountered so far (January 26 build):
1. Proximity sensor does not turn off the screen during calls.
2. Screen stops responding randomly to touch input every now and then (usually once every 15-30 minutes), but it starts responding normally again if the screen is locked and unlocked again.
Everything else I've tried seems to be working fine.

I did try a clean install, wiped everything (data + system + Dalvik + cache) twice before installing it. Same thing.
Oh, and there's another matter, which I'm not sure is the ROM's fault, but I'm mentioning it here just in case. Ever since flashing Candy5, the display seems to have become overly 'sensitive'. While on 4.4.4 (LiquidSmooth), I could type on it just fine even using wet fingers, but now it stops responding even if there's a tiny droplet of water anywhere on the screen. Is there any way you can desensitize the screen a bit to make it play nice with a little bit of water?
Wow, I guess the fastest LP ROM is here..! Thanks a lot!
Only bugs I have noticed with a day's use, the common ones:
- HD Video Playback
- Video Camera Recording

I haven't tested a better ROM than this, I thought it really hard to make a decision on many criteria... But then I met Candy5. Bugs are bugs they are everywhere. But the speed, smoothness, response is incredible, even my 2 year old grandpa goes like Bolt. Come on man, this is superb job @op. guys make sure to do fresh install, format system data etc dalvik you can even clean cache everytime you install like ROM gapps supersu. Best ROM į tested. Well done.

About Us:
Dirty Unicorns is a project that started out with no name. It was a project that was first created based off AOKP back in the early days of Jelly Bean because of curiosity. In the early days, it was just a one man show on one device (EVO 3D). However, many others have joined the project since and it has grown a lot. We have seen a wide variety of talent contribute to this project of ours and many of our contributors have gone on to help other projects, and that is ultimately why we do what we do.
Once Jelly Bean was over, we decided in Kitkat to move to a new base, which was OmniROM. While AOKP was fun, OmniROM proved to be even more exciting because it challenged us to see what we could with something different.
With Lollipop and Marshmallow, we have moved to an AOSP base with a lot of patches from CAF to make our older devices function as they should. With that said, it has been an awesome learning experience and it's still not over! We are still learning every day and continue to move forward.
Few more things we will say is that we don't accept nor ask for donations. We don't believe in that. Everything that is necessary to keep this project going is out of our own pocket. Gerrit, Jenkins, Websites, Devices, etc.....
All we do ask is that you search, read and try to enjoy the process with us!!
Flashing Instructions:
- Verify that you're using the latest version of TWRP
- Perform a FULL WIPE as described below if coming from another ROM
(A full wipe is when you wipe system/data/cache/internal and/or sdcard)
- Flash the latest version of this ROM

Thank you vm.

I have 2 problems with this rom. First I can't install supersu after flashing it it doesn't show up there is no supersu app or even in the settings. Second there is no button to go to recent apps double tap home button doesn't work. Other than that the rom is great so far and I was surprised that cm themes was implemented even though this rom is based on aosp

No nav-bar :/ @Diazz72 Question: Why is there no fling or normal navbar? Because this is from their caf-branch or because its Dirty-Deets?

As @yilun sad, you need to install SuperSU 2.46, and than manually install 2.66 APK ONLY, and than upgrade binary from APP.

3. Yes, its use CMTheme engine.

I have the honor to be here bro.
I really enjoyed the Dirty tweaks it's well organized, easy and fast to reach and configure i hope to have more options in the near future.
While using some Apps like WhatsApp i got systemUI fc sometimes not very annoying.
Lock screen fonts changes randomly after SystemUI crashes, it back to normal after rebooting.
as soon as this is the first DU Marshmallow build, its a good start.
Is having some issues with my Bluetooth speaker and google now. I have it working on JDC aosp MM, so I will play around with the settings. The problem is that it connects to the speaker BUT when it should be outputting a voice asking to say "say call and a name or number.." all you hear is static. The text to speech is setup correctly as you can test it with the phone only but the audio is messed up going to the bluetooth speaker.
I do like all the extras this ROM has compared to others. Also I am not getting LTE on this ROM..

AOKP MM for the G800F. I've used it for a short time and it seems to be petty nice.Sadly,at this point it is lacking some features like "ribbon" and "toggles"
There is ROM control however which is nice.I believe that there are plans to add more features in the near future (I could be wrong though) I will keep an eye out and if any major new features are released I will update this accordingly.

I highly recommend a full backup before flashing this ROM.Again,I am not responsible if you lose any or all of your data!

I believe so,but am not 100% positive as I'm not really sure of the difference.CM13 for theG800F is also for the M and Y.That's why I'd think it has to be compatible.
Please search a little before you flash this though.I'm not responsible for the outcome if you choose not to.

Good job!

This is a known problem with our device. It's out of my skill set to fix it at this point.Gonna have to wait til I learn lots more or someone more knowledgeable fixes it [emoji1]
There are work-arounds however.Media server killer app from the play store seems to be one.
Have a look at the CM13 thread for other ideas.

Another big THANKS to spookcity for making this ROM work on our device.
I am using it for two weeks now and it is good for a daily use.
But I am a well below average user who does not use the most popular apps.
The battery life is very very good. And there has not been a single issue to report.
I just don't get what spookcity means with "lacking some features like ribbon and toggles".
I thought I knew what these things are but I could be wrong.
For me there is nothing missing on AOKP compared to other ROMs.
As I am going throug the alphabet and have been to C, B and now A next one will be OctOS (I guess).

Glad to hear it's working out!
What I'm referring to with " toggles" and "ribbons" are a couple of AOKP features that were present in previous versions (lollipop etc)
They may be part of the MM version now as well. I'm not sure.
Sent from my SM-G800F using Tapatalk
So after testing another ROM for a week I went back to AOKP. At the moment this would be the ROM of my choice.
It is running so smooth, completely bug free and it feels somehow...solid. I only use a different camera app to avoid the known issues with all our ROMs.
There are many customization options and they are accessible in a good way. I really like the layout of that.
The ROM starts very quickly (measured whith an assisting app) and also shuts down in an acceptable time.
Unfortunately after flashing SuperSU the shutdown time is a bit long now. SuperSU integrates well into the settings menu...which I haven't noticed first and flashed it a second time.
Many thanks to spookcity for making AOKP work on our device.
Hi all! Is there a setting for re mapping of the physical buttons on the ROM? And is aosp or cm based?

I believe this MM version is based on CM. No idea about HW button remapping as I haven't used this ROM in awhile. Hopefully someone else can help.
If not there are certainly apps or an xposed module for HW button remapping.

Yes there is a setting for re mapping the buttons. I am using a different ROM at the moment but it was onboard.
I have to use it for TitaniumBackup where the options are not shown on the screen, so I set the hardware-menu-button on double-press to open options.

http://aokp.co/UPDATED on 06-10-2017Changes in 06-10-2017 Build
- Updated Substratum
- Synced AOKP sources
- Synced Device specific sources
- Full changelog can be found within the "ROM control" app
Notes
- TWRP and backups - While TWRP 3.0 will work fine on backups between 7.x ROMS if you are running 7.x and try to restore to a 6.x ROM it will fail to restore the data partition. If you have the need to do this you MUST use TWRP 2.8! (Thanks to Sunn76 for that info)
- ROM is pre-rooted. No need to flash anything for this.
This is AOKP Nougat for the Exynos3470 based Samsung Galaxy S5 mini (G800F/G800M/G800Y)
AOKP-ANDROID OPEN KANG PROJECT
What is AOKP?
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
Why AOKP?
We were waiting for when you'd ask this.
There are a variety of reasons why a hilly billy Android user, on a bright sunny day, would suddenly start using AOKP and loving it.
For one, AOKP is lightweight. Most OEMs provide a heavy UI layer over Android and have loads of bloatware (i.e. apps that not everyone use every day, but you cannot remove because they're "baked in" by default). Since AOKP is built upon vanilla Android source, it has neither of the above.
Also AOKP has features that you will not find on your stock firmware. You can have a multitude of toggles to quickly flip a lot of your phone's settings right at your fingertips, or you can launch apps quickly from any screen using our Ribbons.
You can change almost each and every aspect of the OS, from its looks to the way it functions, with total freedom. And did we tell you, AOKP helps you make tacos?

Wow, thanks !
Excellent news, downloading, hopefully my sound mods will work correctly
A quick note about substratum and titanium backup. I noticed that substratum seems to be broken on this ROM. I believe the reason to be two fold. One,masquerade has changed to ThemeInterfacer and AOKP didn't update this at the time I built this. This will be fixed (hopefully) in the next build.
The other reason appears to be a google play services update. This solution didn't fix the problem for me, but I'm still leaving this here for others.

I ask because I have not used these features and after reading through the LOS thread and hearing people say this stuff was not working on ayke's build from a couple of days ago,I wonder if this is due to commit(s) to the device tree or if the patches were just not applied to his last build.

Come on...be a little patient. Lou Reed once wrote: the first thing that you have to learn is that you always got to wait.
So keep on waiting...waiting for the ROM. (From one addict to another).
BTW the devs are not working for us! We are not their bosses. It is a matter of give and take.

I just wondered whether there will be an update. To calm my nerves  (Google Translate)
So for the next week it's gonna be AOKP. Did flash it today with Gapps pico.
Looking pretty good so far, many many options for customization.
There is a bug in the power menu, when you wanna take a screenshot from there nothing happens and when the power botton is pressed again the screen turns black and
the device reboots. One time I pulled the battery after a minute to reboot.
Taking screenshots from the Quick Settings does work.
Other otions in power menu (soundbar, reboot and power off) work fine.
Thank's for the updated ROM.
