USB OTG on Micromax Canvas A1 ( Android One ) - Micromax Canvas A1

Hello everyone.
I bought my phone in the start of this year and had a lot of experiments on it since then. But, just few months ago I realized that Canvas A1 doesn't support OTG. I had tried different apps like, USB OTG Helper, StickMount etc. but was no worth.
Please if anyone can suggest what i can do to get OTG access. COMMENTS/Replies will be appreciated..
Thanks.

I tried stick mount and otg helper bt it not worked plz give any solution how to enable otg on canvas a1..

I have not tried it yet. So, if it works. Inform me.

[CM12] OT and Discussion Thread Unofficial CyanogenMod 12.1

Hello guys,
This is the OT thread for the CM12..
CM12 is out..
Keep calm and go OFF-TOPIC !
Thanks,
Kaustubh
Awesome, thanks ?
I saw the notification of this thread
Threw my phone onto sofa
Got up of bed and went running to pc room
Fired up the pc thrashing buttons here and there
Hit the modem 2 times as it was taking long for the Internet led to glow
Clicked the Firefox icon 5 or 6 times as the first click wasn't fast enough
Launched xda
Went furiously in Xperia m - > original android developed subsection
Began looking for cm12 thread - and nothing

I have a little suggestion, would you release your source for android L and maybe an alpha build for developers/advanced users so they could try to help in fixing bugs.
I understand if you like to work alone, we all respect your work ^^

So far, so good!
Wifi works great, GSM and data connectivity too. Call quality is good, and i really like the design of the new dialer. ROM seems so smooth, maybe even smoother than CM11/AOSP.
Just one question @PecanCM , will you be adding app2sd function later?

Did you tried the nickids_test archive. Is it working with both sim cards active?
Thank you for your answer.
I can't flash anything via recovery. There is no option "install zip" in recovery menu. Does it work with adb sideload only? And does it work with adb at all?

Android One doesn't support OTG.
But there's a discussion for developing a kernel to support OTG.
You can check it here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/cro...e-general/compile-kernel-otg-support-t3085794

I'm using v5.0.2 and an USB OTG microSD card reader. It worked without issue when the microSD card was formatted with exFat. I had to root and use an additional program (OTG USB Helper) to get NTFS and ext2,3,4 support plus flash a small small system file change. So if you stick with exFat format you should not need to root.

I never used OTG on 4.4.2 as I upgraded the OS as soon as I got my Tab S powered on. So I cannot answer that question. What I can say is that on lollipop v5.0.2 an OTG connected micoSD card formatted in extFat was accessible. As I'm now rooted and have applied some patches I cannot add any more as my device no longer matches the parameters (stock, unrooted, lollipop) of your original question.
