I would love any advise on how to go BACK to a CN stock rom on my Z00AD - with CN SKU. if anyone can link me to the files required and a few words on how to do this I would be greatly thankful!

What's the different SKU firmwares? I'm assuming JP is Japan, CN is China?, WW is World Wide version and there's a CUCC, not sure what that one is.
The question is, I have the WW firmware right now can I ONLY upgrade using the WW firmware from Asus site? I ask because WW is still at .97 and there's already been two firmware up (.102) and wondering why Asus is taking their sweet time this round for WW updates.
Isn't there more to the ww firmwares?
There's a way to change SKU version in the all-in-one thread. To change it from WW to CN you need a CN fastboot and recovery image (droidboot.img and recovery.img) instead of WW ones provided in that thread. There are many of these in Chinese forums, or you can just extract it yourself.

Well i wanted to ask and request the help of you guys if anyone with a CN version that has sw to WW has any firmware version that is nice to upgrade to.
When i changed to WW the latest firmware version was the 2.20.40.164 (released on 2015/09/02)
I wanted to ask which version should i upgrade now, anyone knows a nice stable version to choose and install?
And another question.
Do I still need to go and downlad from HERE the corresponding boot.img | droidboot.img | recovery.img and after download the WW version from HERE to adb sideload it or how should i do it?

good day everyone. Pls help me regarding my problem on my zenfone 2 ze551ml (4gb). I got this phone from a CN sku at first with CN firmware. So, i decided to make it a WW SKU and WW firmware too. My first attemp changing my SKU from CN to WW was successful. Hooray! But my problem now is, my firmware still on CN. I tried everything including moving the firmware.zip to my internal memory but nothing happens. I do not get any prompt to update my firmware. I tried via sideload but when finished and reboot my device and checked my device info, it's still a CN firmware. Pls help me how to make my device a WW firmware. Im so stressed because my CN firmware doesn't have a gapps. Please help me. Thank you

WOW! IT WORKED! I DID RENAME THE FIRMWARE FROM WW TO CN THEN REBOOT. VIOLA! I GOT AN UPDATE. I HAVE WW FIRMWARE NOW ON MY ZENFONE 2! THANK YOU SO MUCH. GOD BLESS YOU :angel::good::victory:

I have purchased a Zenfone 3 Deluxe ZS570KL (SD820 version) from Italy, unfortunately it has branding by TIM (Italian Telecom) and thus a TIM SKU.
Can someone tell me the steps I must follow to change the software (incl SKU) to WW?
Does the Bootloader Unlock tool work on all SKU versions?
I heard someone found a way to install WW software, but unfortunately they didn't reply to questions on issues others ran into and I don't want to risk bricking the phone.

You have to unbrand your phone. The bootloader unlock tool works only with WW SKU, but i'm not sure. Try it

After unbrand, you have to replace the recovery with the WW SKU one and then you wil be able to update with downloadable firmwares on the asus website
