i was waiting for m4 aqua, now changed waiting mode for m5
i hope it will have good development of roms and kernels

I am also waiting for M5.

m5 all the way .. hope the battery performance n camera performance is gre8 .... i really really want the m5 to click gre8 photos with its cam ....

M5 seems to be a nice upper midranger with one exception. Bezels. They're massive. They're ugly. They're a disgrace. Even the HTC One M8 has smaller bezels but unlike M5 it has powerful stereo speakers! Z3 has been criticized for big bezels while they're actually ok and nothing about the M5 when it's much worse in this department?

I do think that the xperia m5 is more appealing than c5 ultra . It's specifications are just right and balanced.

Xperia Z1 vs Z2 vs Z3 vs Z3+ vs Z5

I know this isnt the right section to post this
but I just want some reviews from everyone regrading the z series
Just vote for the best phone
not including Z since its different
Any of the Compacts.
Why this kind of threads always ?? -__-"""
I vote for the Z6

Here is from best to worst
Z2
Z5
Z3
Z3+/4
Z1
Z
Z2 is the ultimate z phone, it was and still a boss phone. This is just my opinion,
I did not use z5 yet, but feedback is bad and its a lagfest. Still new though, a firmware update surely will fix that.
Does it even matter?
I mean, I can still make my z1 look pretty much like a z5 in terms of UI.
And from hardware perspective, the answer is sooo obvious
Z1 is better than z3+
Z3+ is a failure
of course Z3. Design, Stabilization, Technical Specifications, etc...

Me too, but to be honest z5 also seems to become a great phone. First technical reviews are not bad.
Z3 for me nothing more nothing less
Z3 Compact is te best, for sure better than Z5 Compact...
Then Z2/Z3, best phones from SONY.
The latest is 90% always better than the previous. But, based on the impact when it was first announced, its clearly the Z2. I will point out some, based on my opinion. The Z3, Z3+ were merely improvements over the Z2.
1. introduction of IPS display vs TFT
2. introduction of front facing speakers
3. No more annoying shatterproof film that scratches easily.
4. Design is better than successors in my opinion. The edges, home button, glass back, looks much more premium.
5. Battery is way above par. Getting almost 2 days without charge in normal use.
6. Its an AWS phone, I bought my Z2 in Asia, and works with Canadian networks. Z5 is not AWS., or probably the dual only (

Well my sister have the Black Z5 and i compared it with my Z3 and to be honest my Z3 have more and better accurate colours, a little bit faster in scrolling etc and camera start up, but oke the Z5 feels nice also ^^

guys ALL Z series are the best phones out there! first of all a battery with more Mah than you can trust. With other phones..no way. Then the build construction.Compare a Z with a samsung.. then magnetic charge.. then the simplicity and the fastness of the rom! Finally the camera!!!guys first time i own a z1c i heavilly debloaded it from sony craps, modded it in many things, installed zezadas camera (best camera ever) with 4k and timeshift..guys my mobile flyes!!!i think this post would compare our xperia to other devices like crapsung!!!
Z1.
Not enough improvement between flagships from Z1 to Z5 . Sure, software-wise there is cool features but most can be/is ported to older phones. I wish they would bring back metal framing, then Z5 Compact could actually interest me.
Z2. I upgraded from Z to Z2. Best decision ever.

Yeah I know it's in the wrong section
But there is nowhere I can post it except here
If xda mods could make one section just for xperia Z SERIES it would be brilliant
@MJ9999
Z3 have a more powerfull quadcore and no heating issue on my Z3, but i guess you own only a Z2 not Z3.

The only terrible thing about the M5 has been that apparently Sony forgot they made it, as they're into the business of selling "new" phones even when hardware-wise there ain't a real upgrade, consider the specs of M5 vs XA1, a model which is properly going to be updated to oreo by the way.

Commercially wise "sure", it's an older release, but spec-wise the M5 has some features the XA1 has not, such as IP68 water resistance, Full HD screen, 4k video recording plus a 13 MP selfie camera, and slightly higher capacity battery.
As for benchmark scores... on GeekBench 4:
Xperia M5: 768 Single-Core, 4393 Multi-Core
Xperia XA1: 822 Single-Core, 3704 Multi-Core
and on Antutu 6:
Xperia M5: 53840
Xperia XA1: 60596

is lenovo z2 plus worth buying?

i'm planning to buy a phone to keep for atleast 2 years., and i got 3 options. MiA1,Redmi Note 4 and Lenovo z2 plus . The primary requirement are battery life, reliable performance and decent camera. Due to it's powerful processor i thought of giving z2 plus a shot. therefore my questions are how is the battery life really? i'm not a gamer and i mostly browse web. I heard that the camera lens of z2 plus is plastic and scratches easily and is lenovo providing any software updates as of now ? because updates like Airtel VOLTE is much important for me if i'm going to use my phone for 2 years .

Go for mia1(good camera) and z2+(performance)
First of all, to clarify, the camera lens on ZUK Z2 Plus is glass and not plastic, and matches the decent-level requirement you have. So you should definitely consider buying it over Mi A1 due to its superior processing power.

you sure it's glass? since the lens on mine has micro scratches everywhere, although it's not as bad as some sony xperia lens
I am using Z2 Plus and I would agree, MiA1 has much better camera but it's priced higher at present compare to Z2 Plus.
Given the price of Z2 Plus, it's a steal deal if you can compromise with night or low light photography since under daylight, Z2 Plus camera works just fine.
The main attraction of Z2 Plus is the SoC. Nothing comes close to SD820+4GB combo unless you spend at least 3 times more to get the nearest 800 series competition.
Go with A1. That's all i will say. I have Z2 and my sister has A1. The performance difference is really negligible between 625 with clean android build and 820 with crap OS.
I have the same 'problem' but between MiA1 and Zuk Z2 (the normal one, not the plus).
I don't know which buy but I like the 5'' of the Zuk
I've Z2. And if it gets bricked. I would buy it again. It's all a matter of priorities. If you use camera like 15 Pictures Daily, don't but this phone. But if you want to own Flagship grade specs, feel how fast is 2.1 GHz and how much is 4GB RAM, know how fluid Android Experience can get, then buy ZUK.
Since you posted your question here, you'll come to the difference between 625 & 820.

Well I think both models have the same processor, I don't really now which buy, Z2, Z2 plus or Mi A1
Just buy zuk z2.
Then unlock bootloader and flash any oreo rom with hdr+ enabled.
That ll solve your camera problem.
Camera is nt everything. Performance also matters.
And snap 820>>> 625
MiA1 very good camera avg battery
Redmi Note 4 jack of all, master of none, but good battery capacity
Lenovo z2 plus master of all minus low light camera and 5inch if you like,
you will have to use custom roms for updates and better performance at low budget you will get this.
so choose between priorities
Used RN4 first, it lacked the performance and camera. But had an awesome SOT 11HRS.
Then my friend's MiA1 for a week. The camera was awesome but battery was meh and performance was okayish.
Now rocking z2 plus, awesome performance with sub-par camera.

there is android 8 for z5p from sony! so the answer is YES
device in x series! if you are in to big screens!
XA2ALUTRA is gigantic 6" and its not very expensive! however its on mediatek processor to rooting is unknown to me at this poing
XZP the successor to Z5p is 5.5" flagship device and one of sony's most popular device of 2017, its on SP835, heavy on usage and root is possible (long process but possible)
