[Q] Phone Stuck on Emergency Calls Mode only :(

Hey Guys,
This is my story. I recently brought dis Defy and till date i was using a standby SIM (DOCOMO) in the fone as i was waiting my reliance number to be ported and den finally use Defy with Vodafone.
In the meanwhile, i rooted my fone n had installed Pays-ROM Defy v5.1 Froyo with Ginger feeling [3.4.3-11 based!]. everything was great and i was really enjoying the modded firmware.. Now, today, when i inserted Vodafone sim, i realise, that my fone is unable to catch vodafone's network. it remains on "Emergency calls only" mode while the fone just besides gets full Vodafone's network. However, if i insert back DOCOMO sim, it gives me proper network. I tried to make a manual search on network and it doesnt even display Vodafone and Relicance network. I can bet that i cld see reliance network on defy before i modded the firmware.
I tried to search in forums but I got multiple issues like sim slot being big or modded rom problem or network frequency issue etc.
If at all this is the ROM problem, is thr a way, we can further mod the ROM so i can use VOdafone or i wld hv to go back to the stock rom?? if yrs, then hw is it possible to move from PAYS to stock rom??
PLS HELP!!!!!!!!
see my post.....it should help...

It is certainly the base band problem. you can change your base band corresponding with your mobile provider.

2.37.178.8 (Vodafone) & 2.37.861.8 (Hutchison) rooted rom

Hi friends
I just moved to vodafone au network and I have been using rooted htc desire hd since a while. But now I have a got a problem since I moved to vodafone. As my dhd has two network selection option (1) WCDMA only (2) GSM and WCDMA auto. If I select wcdma, I will not be able to take advantage of new 850 network and if select the later, it keep on changing between 3g and H.. eventually end up with connection drop outs.
So can someone please share rooted stock back up of 2.37.178.8 (Vodafone) & 2.37.861.8 (Hutchison) rom. Because that will enable GSM only option.
Please help.
Or can some one please advise me if there is any custom rom that has got "GSM only" option

Phone -> Keypad
Key in: *#197328640# (Service Mode Menu will appear)
If you are using data on SIM 1:
Touch: [5] BAND SELECTION
Touch: [2] WCDMA BAND
Touch [1] WCDMA ALL
If you are using data on SIM 2:
Touch: [6] BAND SELECTION S
Touch: [2] WCDMA BAND
Touch [1] WCDMA ALL
Press the Back key to exit, or Menu key then END.
Note, the above can help to lock your network on the selected wave, but data can only be activated on one SIM.
USE WITH CAUTION.
Hope this helps.

Your phone is using mtk or Qualcomm chip? Check it with app from play store. If its mtk, this method won't work on your device as this one is for Qualcomm.

Take a look through my SkyHigh ROM thread. I think I might have your CSC as an Aroma install option. This is what I believe you need.
A CSC changer app might also help (root also required) but will wipe your data.
Having the correct CSC should enable the options in device settings, as well as automatically settings your APN & MMS
Edit: just checked my ROM. Your CSC isn't listed but Singapore might work for you. Just guessing though.

Call this with the dial pad *#*#4636#*#*
In one of them
I Think phone info
There will be an option to change it ... its on "WDCMA preferred" by default
For 2G set it GSM only
For 3G set it WDCMA only
