Kernel suport???
Tried clean flash of jfltexx cm12 to 9505G. Using twrp 2.8.3.0 for jgedlte, ext4. Getting "E: error executing binary updater in zip" then "E: unable to mount /system." CM11 was able to flash jfltexx to jgedlte, guess this isn't true for CM12?
Finally! Thx antares!

There are flashable bootloader/modem zips available on xda.
Just choose all zips at once in twrp and everything will be fine.
@codeworks Just a curiosity nothing more and nothing less. Coming from N5 I see that a lot of ROM are compiled using toolchains like sabermod linaro or uber.
In your opinion is there a real benefit in terms of perforormances and battery life compilng rom and kernel with toolchains?
Cyano officia builds use a toolchains (sorry if it is a noob question but I only use AOSP rom on my old N5)?
Thank you for your opinion and for time and effort spent in this project!

If there's a benefit, then it's probably measurable but you won't feel a difference in real world usage.

It is official, just an alpha build at the moment.
Everything works fine as far as I can tell. Only DSP Manager crashes when I try to open it.
Looking forward to seeing this getting picked up by the OmniROM official nightlies.

Yea, I need to add the libraries to the audio_effects file that DSPManager relies on. I have been focusing on getting the ROM base up to android-7.0.0_r1 lately, and nothing can be done for any non-nexus devices until CAF releases its magic. At the present time, Omni's source yields successful builds, although untested.
Waiting ... Thanks great work op

Your work is incredibly appreciated. Thank you so much!
Mobile data should be working now..just need to fix wifi, bt, nfc
Wifi should no longer be a module by release
When you make the nougat update, will you make a new thread, or update this one?
OP updated with a link to an android-7.0 test build (and, from what I can tell, the first Nougat build for Robin available ANYWHERE! )
DOWNLOAD HERE
You must flash the 1450 stock firmware to get the updated partitions on your device prior to flashing this.
I recommend using OpenGapps (package of your choosing)
What's still broken:
- Camera will force-close when you try to zoom in
- Camcorder is actually recording the "recording start" tone
- I think GPS is flaky (haven't tested it)
- Wifi Calling (it doesn't work on stock 1450 either)
- Probably some other stuff I haven't noticed yet
These are mainly minor annoyances that I will fix in the next day or so.
Notable changes:
- This is using my [new] kernel, not based on CyanogenMod's kernel whatsoever.
- The device tree is an ugly hybrid derived from the CyanogenMod tree. I will eventually roll into my own device tree when I have the energy to do so
- Wifi is no longer a module, but a built-in kernel driver (qcacld-2.0 wlan, like the Nexus 5X)

Great! thanks. but it can't work camera. not only zoom. And crash DSP Manager.
Great job. Very smooth. Will report anything I find.

Thank you for your hard work, the rom is very good
I've flashed the latest rom with supersu 2.79sr and the gapps from 0423 and cleared the Dalvik/Cache.
The result is that the setup wizard is really slow and it's using the old interface.
Edit: I was able to finish the setup wizard and I've found that the rom itself is very slow.
I like the rom, but the rom is very slow
Any chance to have the performance of the ROM excelerated?
Having it working fast, I will definitely switch to it from AOSP X.
I installed the ROM today on my GX8 and the first Bug i already found is that when I try to register my Fingerprint the phone freezes and after about 5 seconds it reboots, also it is impossible to use a PIN or Pattern for unlocking, because if you try to change the PIN the settings App crashes, apart from those I haven't found anything until now, I will keep reporting back
Downloading know. Thx bro!
Where can I download it?
Anyone flash this rom ?? any review?

I did! And I had the same impression.
to the OP: if you're building off sources from here: https://github.com/Huawei-Dev
you need to revert this commit to fix performance:

I've got no idea how this would happen. Can you confirm that you tried wiping the phone and completing the initial setup?

I just installed it and it's still a little bit sluggish, but tolerable once the animations are off in the Developer's Options.
I will try it today and report back any findings especially in battery life.:good:

Updating encrypted device from 13.0 didn't worked for me.
So far expect broken things
Many thanks to @zeelog for the good work

@nailyk we are both on Lineage Slack too but we are tired of fixing CAF issues Lineage introduces here and there...
I am not planning to work on 14.1 for tuna.
Ziyan will look into the open kernel commits once he has time, i don't have merge rights.

Lineage is still a reference but TBH I wont deal with lineage anymore too...
I remember you said this because of lineage caf problem. What about building something else, like omni?
@nailyk Omni would be fine and common tuna builds wouldn't be a problem. Omni team now changed the private chat program a 3rd time, i haven't joined the latest one yet [emoji14]
User love lineage, that's the only reason I have managed it until 13 for tab2 after all devs left us.
Omnis hardware/ti/omap4 is up to date with UA if I am not wrong, maybe 7.x misses blob updates in DonkeyCoyote (can be picked from UA).
Two new screenshots: calls & 3G.
No other feedback?
Edit two others: NFC and a2dp.
Media playing working fine, with both 2.0 and 4.1 adapter. Cannot test calls.
Now i have Zeelog'sLO 14.1. Can i dirty fash this ROM or i need to do a full wipe?

Should work the same way, @zeelog made this rom, I only build it
Yes dirty flash should work as it is the same rom (lineage)
@zeelog it is amazing, everything is perfect and for now I did not encounter issue with your devices trees. many thanks!
What about submitting them?
@zeelog @Android-Andi @Ziyan how can I contact you? Am on IRC (lot of servers) and on omni matrix, nailyk nickname.

I just turned on my IRC bouncer, and joined to #Lineage-Maguro, as in the OP. However, you can reach me on hangouts as well (same e-mail I use everywhere), I'm always online there

Should now support HW encryption.
Upgrade from 13.0 tested.

Hope you'll stay with us (LineageOS user)!?!?!
Thx for your great work!!!!!
I'm using the latest release as my daily driver and it's working better than 13.0 (for me).

Nothing changed into device tree, mostly for lineage changes.
