Z1 Compact Vibration Issues

After I had my Z1 compact(Japanese Version) two weeks, I started having this vibration issue. When I type very fast the vibration feedback disappear, vibration even failed in vibration test. When I shake the phone the vibration comes back, but when I type fast again vibration disappear again. Some ppl on sony forum said it's normal, one of them made the vibration of Z1 compact disappeared on many new phones in an O2 shop. I don't think this is true, it must be a hardware issue. I opened the back cover of Z1 compact and replace a vibration motor, then this issue never happen again.
I do have this problem too.
You replaced the vibration motor with an original one from Sony?
I have the same issue too, but i think its software releated. Im already on my 3rd z1c and i had this issue on all of them, on the first one i had i had them replace the vibration motor and that didnt help.

I don't think Sony produce vibration motors. I just bought one from Taobao.com that fits for Z1 compact and replaced it. It works fine now. It's a very small piece, I think Z series mobile used the same vibration motor.

I'm sure it's a hardware issue. I tested it. when the vibration motor stopped vibrating, I touched the vibration motor, the vibration motor heated up very hot. but after i replace the vibration motor, i don't have the vibration issue anymore, even the newly replaced vibration motor vibrated for a long time about one minute, the vibration motor is not over heat.
thx for the 'shake it' hint, it works! :good:
Me too!
when the vibration motor stopped vibrating. I shake it and vibrating is normal.
Hello I have thé same issu With z1 i change the vibrator too and put à New back cover for the water resistance !!!!
And everything is good know
Where did you buy the motor from? I'd like to replace mine, but because I'm having an issue with the vibration being WAY too intense on my z1c.
It's obnoxiously loud, and more disruptive than my phone volume being on. I've had to turn off all haptic feedback because anyone within 10 feet of me can hear the feedback. If I get an incoming message or notification while I'm on a call, the person on the other line can hear it very loudly too. I've tried to go through the settings to see if there is a way to turn down the haptic feedback, but I only found one under the stock keyboard settings and it didn't seem to make a difference.

Vibrate alert not working when phone alert is also only vibrate

I am using my 360 with a Galaxy Note 3. What I have found is that ONLY if the phone actually is set to make a physical sound, does the watch vibrate. For example, my email is set to vibrate only my phone. I do this because I get quite a lot of emails and don't want the phone beeping all the time...vibrate is sufficient. But then the watch gets the alert but does not vibrate. Only if I set the email app to make a sound does the watch vibrate.
Surely this is a bug? If the phone makes a sound OR vibrates, the watch should vibrate?
It's not a bug. As far as I know, the moto360 will currently only vibrate when your phone has ringer(ringtone/notification sound) enabled. Mine doesn't vibrate at all if the phone is on vibrate.

It may well be the current design, but if that is the case it's stupid! Why wouldn't you want the watch to vibrate if the phone vibrates?!

I agree with you. It's completely stupid. I came searching for an answer when my Moto 360 didn't vibrate with my Note 2, and I found this thread. I want the watch to notify me of a message or whatever the notification may be instead of the phone. This seems like an easy thing to make an option and I'm unsure how they missed the boat on this one.
I was also wondering why the watch was not vibrating. I have 99% of my notices sent to silent, no vibrate and just flash the LED indicator (I'm using PA on a Samsung Galaxy S3). I then stumbled across this thread and found my answer. I had to change the notifications in the various apps to vibrate and then the watch vibrates.
This seems quite silly to me. I don't want my phone to vibrate, I just want the watch to vibrate. One would think (hope) that you'll be able to set the watch/wear vibrate notifications independent of the phone notifications in a future upgrade.

in android wear settings, there's a setting regarding when your phone is on silent, you can select it to either mute both phone and watch or just vibrate the watch

Thanks, that seems to have done the trick. I'll be interested in seeing what it does tonight in the charging cradle. Really don't want that buzzing/vibrating all night.

I have a Moto X, and my 360 vibrates regardless of sound or vibrate mode on my phone.
Kind of makes sense that Moto works best with Moto.
I ended up having to go back to the alert on both option. With it set on wear only it mutes the phone, which is not what I want.

Maybe my notifications would make noise if I didn't have my phone on vibrate all the time I don't know... But since I don't keep my phone in a purse I don't need a loud noise to realize a call is coming in

Where is this setting?? I keep my phone on vibrate all the time, and my Fit vibrates with each notification. This "smart" watch doesn't seem to do that...
Thanks

Moto G5 Notification Sound Volume

Can anyone assist me as I'm not very technical when it comes to phones but on my Moto G5 when the proximity sensor on the front panel is not covered I can hear all notification sounds eg:- Calls,E-Mails,Text Msg etc. But if I cover the sensor the volume decreases by approximately 95% this happens when the phone is in my pocket and I can't hear it ring?? I have proved this by calling the phone from my landline and covering the sensor with my finger, when covered the sound is hardly heard but if I don't cover it the sound is at full volume, any suggestions or ideas how I can get this problem sorted????Many Thanks,Seth. Just a short update on this problem I have done a FACTORY RESET on the phone as advised and this still occurs. When I go into SAFE MODE I do not get any sound from the phone at all.To test this I sent an E-Mail from my laptop and it was received on the phone with no sound only an E-Mail Icon, the same happens with an incoming call no sound but a Phone Icon to indicate I have received a call????Any suggestions???? Hi there just an update I have had a brand new replacement phone and transferred my Sim's and Sd Card to the new phone powered it up and I STILL have the same problem???When the display is covered the sound is cut by approx 95% but if the display is NOT covered then the phone volume is at full??? The Apps I have installed are 1 Truecaller, 2 Zedge Ringtones, 3 BBC Weather, 4 My Vodafone, 5 Google Keep and 6 MIPC can anyone help?????

Motor issue

Does anyone have any experience replacing the motor on this watch? This morning it stopped vibrating. I have attempted a full reset of the watch, charging, changing the settings to double or long vibrate.
I know on some of the watches, the motor is in the battery, but I cannot seem to find where the motor is on this watch.
