You can't go wrong with the OEM 2100 Mah battery but I recently purchased a Hyperion 3800 Mah battery and case for $25, not anything amazing but did add a decent bit of battery life. Went back to stock though for the amazingly thin feel.
And yes this is on Verizon.

Yes battery of 3000 mAh is availabel on ebay.
But my personal suggestion not use that additional power battery. Because your phone is designed for 2000 mAh battery so please dont override it.

Battery life depends on users, I heavily use my device. A stock 3220 mah battery will hold half a day for me ( tethering, gaming, camera recording all the good stuff. ) Got a Hyperion 8000 mAh and my usage is as the product is advertised, which is 2.5x times more usage. So it has lasted me a day and a half. ( From 100 to 30% which is the end of my day or the middle of my break at work )

Battery life is not bad in Stock rom, But in all other custom roms the battery life is terrible,.
Battery life is fine on custom roms. Use AKT profiles (balanced or battery settings) to extend life.
