ANYONE CAN HELP ME PLEASE.. I JUST GOT THE CHINESE VERSION N1 AND STUPID ENOUGH I UPDATED TO 5.1.1... AND I am very rookie on rooting... is there anyway i can downgrade the android back to 5.0..
And also step by step, anylink that you guy posted before I will read!!! but... please... help me... teach me how to downgrade back in order to root....

Once you have upgraded to 5.1.1 firmware, you just can't get back to 5.0 at the moment.

@abe0717 @aquaminh Is it worth upgrading to 5.1.1?? Root is not a big deal for me,but is there performance and battery life improvement??
Because im getting a heavy battery drain caused by "Andoid OS"

I can say that the battery life and performance are pretty much improved.

do a factory reset.
Or try to turn of Google Now, I've read in other forums that might cause high battery consumption as well.

[Q] Battery life and Android OS question

Hey guys, I have a question. I don't have the phone yet but when T-Mobile gets it I'll have it. I'm seeing some people say they get amazing battery life but I'm just wondering if that Android OS drain is lingering? I'm on a Note 2, and sometimes I get great battery life, sometimes I struggle to get 10 hours. On the bad days it's because Android OS is keeping the phone awake.
I don't know if that was just a Note 2 problem or an Android problem. So have any of you guys had it drain your battery or is that not a problem with the M8?
Thanks.

There is a thread about battery life for the M8 :good:
I can't link yet so just check in the thread it's on the first page already under the General section of M8. There was one user that complained about battery drain because of the Kernel(Android OS) I don't know if he got it sorted or not though, but he seems to be in the minority as most members posting there don't seem to have that problem at all.

[Q] Temperature problem since 4.4.2

Hey folks.
I updated my phone on 4.4.2 with root and now i get the feeling its getting hotter while using(browsing web and so on) and its draining more and more battery than before. I mean on 4.3 it wasn't that fast and it even get that hot. My question is this normal since 4.4.2 (.757) and is there any good app which is helping me to find out if any background(system or not) is causing this problem?
Thanks for advice!

Mine is the same, everyone since the kitkat upgrade. When the screen is off it cools and deep sleeps. When it's on though it gets far hotter than on 4.3 and consequently the battery drains far too quickly.
Mine isn't rooted so I can't look at the wake locks in better battery stats but I can see that the processor isn't maxing out at 2.2GHz. Most of its time is spent at 300MHz.
There doesn't appear to be any app that's gobbling up juice so it must be the OS I think.

Battery life on the new 10C software

Hello!
After the update, for some unknown reason, the battery percentage goes down really really fast, and it was not like that on the 10B. Just a general idea. When I listen to music, and the mobile data is on, it would go down from 57 to 54 in half an hour. Something is not right, and this happens ever after I made a factory reset...
Did anyone with the same problem managed to solve that crazy battery percentage decrease ?

Not really had chance to notice battery life properly, but it doesn't seem to be draining faster. Also my device has definitely been getting much warmer since the update. Think I'm going to roll it back to 10b(c)

Yeah it's possible, need the KDZ of the appropriate version to flash using the engineering tools.
There is a guide already posted in the General section, look in the sticky roll up thread.

Any previous Galaxy S3 owners?

what are the big differences between the two?
I am especially concerned about the battery life, which doesn't seem to be too good on the Zenfone 2
I didn't have a Galaxy 3, but I did come from an Lg Optimus G Pro which has a big honking battery. I am getting decent battery life from my ZF2, darn close to what I got from my OGP. I use Chrome to do my paperwork for my job, use the phone as my ereader throughout the day, keep it linked to my car's bluetooth for most of the day, and make various calls from time to time. Oh, and Facebook. Lots of Facebook. Don't judge me.
GS3 user , i ran the old man with RR lollipop .... Used to work fab but battery was not good in s3 except for standby (sot was not good)
ZF2 is way better if u are not goinng to root and xposed cause as i started to do that i got an average battery life (4:15 sot ) but better than the old man.
Don't root and xpose like me if u want amazing battery.
