How to disable startup sound ?
Hello Comunity,
I have a rooted P8000 and want to disable the startup sound, when I power on the Phone.
Can somebody tell me, how can I do this or where can i find the startup sound in the filesystem ?

startup/shutdown anim/sound are on custom partition; /custom/boot* was the location, when i remember correctly.

/custom/bootani
rename the bootaudio.mp3 to bootaudio_off.mp3 or just delete it...

Chenging the start up screen

hi, any idea on changing the splash/start up screen ?
i tried changing some file in wodnows direcotry but it does not chane anything.
any ideas ???

I'm afraid those screens are in ROM, as the logos appearing when you place or receive a call.
Still didn't check if the "Cooking Recipees" available do apply as well for the Excalibur so atm wouldn't really be able to suggest a way to change them.

I added the keynumber thingy I got from surreal apps then deleted it.My calling screen disappered.I still have the things on the phone they just dont show up anymore.Just some information.

Android "nice strange" DEFAULT ringtone - REQ

Hello everyone ! Got request to all who can help me I did flash on my Magic with HERO rom ... When customizing it someone called to me ... And in that moment VERY NICE ringtone was pleyed ... But after customization there was no ringtone like this ... I suppose that it was some default Android Ringtone But couldn`t find it in ROM.zip :/ Can anybody help me to find this ringtone ? I recorded it to hear what ringtone i mean ... It is not good record but U can hear that sound ... THANK for ANY help !!

I tried listening to all the sounds in the last version of android i attempted to run on my touch pro but was unable to find the same recording as you have for example.
anyway, perhaps you might enjoy some or find a close match to the one you are looking for so i saved them all in a rar for you

Boot splash animation is located nearby: /SystemFS/PowerOnOff/Image/
This is a compressed bitmap images. I do not know how to decompress.
Also there is an interesting file: /Registry/PowerOnOff.ini

Hi,
can anyone tell me which file i need to change for default settings?
I found in system\customize some xml files in thes files stands a lot of things their looks like the default settings.
But when i change this infos (like the default ringtone) and flash this rom (fullwipe)
shows me the personalisation thats the acutal ringtone is "unknow"
How get i the settings integrated that the UI shows me my chosen settings?

Hi all!
First, I'm registered now with pleasure because I like this forum, congratulation!
Now I ask for a problem with my Galaxy Note 2 N7100 with "Pacman 23.0.0 with Halo":
I created the famous directory to contain all my personal ringtones, and after reboot, I can't select any my personal mp3 sound because see only the system sounds.
Follow all my directory structure/tests:

/sdcard/music/
I try to insert an optional external sdcard but never change...
Something wrong?

and
sdcard/media/notifications/

Thanks for your reply, with S. Google I've been found, more or less, the same information but never work for me.
I thinking to edit some configuration file to change the environment variable path for media folder but this is only an idea and I don't know the right config file to edit.
Another work-round could be create a symlink.. I know move in a linux-like system but not know enough android..
