UK Nexus 5X, bought from Carphone Warehouse. This is my second one from them, the first one I had from them was also the same build number.

MDA89E when it shipped. Update came out this morning to update to MDB08I.

Yes, but it'll take a little bit longer because of the radio. Expect to get the OTA around/just before the Nexus 9 LTE version becomes available.

We're never going to receive the OTA. Throw your tablet away.
After Verizon takes its right of Prima Nocte. For the next three months.

unofficial
Use unofficial roms, they are working pretty well.
This piece is claiming LTE/3G rollout beginning early December.
With all the issues haunting lollipop, it may be better to wait.
certification seems to be the issue

Pixel C LTE Version

Pretty straight forward...anyone see any news or rumors of whether or not there will be an LTE version of the device? Just returned my Nexus 9 for a full refund since it falsely states it works with Verizon and doesn't, so I'm hoping this might be my replacement.

Looks like it's not... When n9 was announced they said WiFi first with LTE at a later date. You got n9 again though

There's references in the source code about booting the LTE modem if present on the Pixel C, but Google hasn't announced anything yet.
Also, Verizon LTE works on Nexus 9 on Android 6.0.1

Haha thanks...I'm aware. I started the first thread and was the one who spent all the time troubleshooting the damn thing before finally giving up and returning it lol.
I bought it again on sale though since I think a Pixel and a Surface Pro are going to be overkill to have both.

Monthly Security updates?

Hi
I got my new pixel c last night and what can i say its a wicked device.
My question is do we get the monthly updates like i do for my nexus 6p. The reason is there is no new factory image on tje google site for the pixel c
Thanks
James
We should have .....I don't know the reason for delay.......

No April sec update has been posted yet. One thing though when I first got my Pixel C (A month ago) it would not do any automatic updates. I had to do a factory reset from recovery then it started to work.
To clarify that: today I should already have the april security patch level?
Mine is still from March... Do I have to do a factory reset to get it?
Thx guys!
There is no April update for the Pixel C yet
Sometimes a particular Google device gets its update a little later than the others. I recall two or three months back I think, the Nexus 6P got an update maybe a week later than the others.
Maybe they found a bug in April's Pixel C update that needs fixing before it goes out. Maybe the person that approves Pixel C updates is on vacation.
i got notice of update tonight. i'm rooted though.
I got the april update too today.

Software update tonight 10/19/17

Anyone get the software update this evening ?
Haven't had a chance to check any differences

Nothing available here in my 64gb 2 xl
Copy that, came through for me yesterday (10/18). No idea what it changed.
Has anyone captured the ota? It sure would be nice if google would post OTA's and factory images for these devices already
I got the ota yesterday. I was wondering if anyone else had any info. It's still the September security update... I thought that was weird
Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
I got it yesterday, went ahead and took it since mine's an unlocked version. No security update. It said fixes and improvements for features or something like that. It was pretty small too. The update seriously took like 60 seconds lol.

No update for me - wonder why some get it and others don't. Is it geographical ? I
Goode usually does a staged rollout for updates, I haven't gotten it on mine yet either so those of us without it should get it within a few days probably.
You're supposed to be able to pull it now with the check for updates button. I'm on a Google unlocked 2 XL on Verizon. Maybe it's Verizon specific?

This is suppose to be the case but it's not really true. I had a regular Pixel that didn't get the October security update till 4? days after it was released even though I had the latest stable play services, hitting check update did nothing.
That's a bummer
Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
Doesn't is seem odd that there is no October security update for the Pixel 2 and 2 XL? Wasn't it released in general on October 3? Why aren't the phones shipping with it? And if not, why does it exist for the original Pixel phones but not the Pixel 2/XL?
I am on Verizon and didn't get any update...

That's the version I'm running but as far as I know, that is the version on the phone out of the box.
-- Never mind. I did not get an update and there are no full OTA files posted for the Pixel 2.

Has Anybody Actually Gotten Jan's OTA Security Update?

Not by flashing it, but actually over the air?

Nope. Not me.
I just checked and I do have the Jan 5 2018 security patch. I am on Verizon with the Pixel 2 XL purchased from Target in December.

Try uninstalling updates to the phone app. I had issues with the screen not waking & that worked for me
I got it the 8th I believe. On verizon with an unlocked one from google.
Got it as soon as I turned on my phone before unlocking. January 5th I think. No sim was installed yet.
