ZVH OTA update.zip - Sprint LG G2

All righty. Here it is. It's 5.0.2 and it contains the Stagefright fix as well as who knows what else. Standard warning: you probably have to be bone stock ZVG to apply this. If you are rooted, this will probably break root, if it would even install at all. I could also be completely wrong. Have fun.
Download ZVH update.zip

Updates don't install on top of root. If rooted, reflash ZVE tot, upgrade, then redo LG One Click Root.
Sent from my LG-LS980 using Tapatalk

I tried restoring my stock recovery with Autorec and using the unroot feature in SuperUser but was still unable to flash the update.
I WAS able to get the ZVH update. You can root the ZVH update, use the LS980 Autorec app to flash TWRP and flash the hotspot mod too. I tot'ed back to ZVE and let my Sprint G2 activated on Boost go through the update process. Once i was on ZVH i did the above mentioned. It took a little time and some reading but my G2 is up and running like a champ.

I have root and can't update ZVH using TWRP. Can sameone explane step by step how would be possible ?

@wetbiker7
I've upgraded to ZVH, but I can't seem to root it. I've tried a couple of the LG_Root options and LG_One_Cick_Root_by_avicohh.exe but none are working.
Any ideas?

If you could also share your experience/method here as well for others to see so they can avoid issues. That would be great. As for the update I see no changes with the GPS unfortunately.

Not sure what's going on with your GPS. I haven't had any issues.
OK. I'm working on something that'll get you guys hooked up. It'll be posted soon.

OK........ This is for the Sprint/Boost LS980. This info will allow you to root the ZVH firmware update. I have used this method on both Windows 7 and 10.
READ EVERYTHING BEFORE YOU BEGIN!!! I WILL NOT BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE DONE TO YOUR DEVICE. THESE ARE THE STEPS I USED AND THEY WORKED PERFECTLY FOR ME.
You will need ADB installed on your pc. Here's an easy way to install if you don't already have ADB and Fastboot installed.

Maker sure you have a decent charge on your phone. I recommend 75% or more just to be safe. The entire process should not take near that but I always make sure I have enough juice in case I run into any issues.
This is only if you are rooted or your LS980 will not install the ZVH update OTA.
You will need to TOT back to an earlier build. I chose ZVE.
This thread tells you how to do it. Make sure you scroll down to the 2nd tutorial. It's the one for Sprint.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
Thanks to @hyelton
Just follow the instructions and it will take you back to the ZVE firmware. Once you've reverted back to ZVE, let your phone update. It will take you through 2 firmware updates, ZVG and then ZVH.
NOTE 1: I downloaded the DLL file found in the Sprint folder. I had to use it instead of the Megalock DLL. Megalock gave me an error. The DLL in the Sprint folder worked perfectly so make sure you use it in place of Megalock when following the instructions.
NOTE 2: Once your phone is in Download Mode and you plug it into your pc there is a VERY good chance that it will start updating the drivers. LET IT!! It may take awhile so just be patient. Once it has completed, you can begin the process of flashing the older firmware.
NOTE 3: The tutorial states "99% of the time FlashTool will FAIL after 85% anything after 85% is just your phone rebooting so your safe". Personally, mine completed without getting stuck.
NOTE4: If you have trouble with Data, do a PRL update and a PROFILE update.

OK....... once you've taken all the OTA updates and you are on the ZVH firmware you can begin the rooting process.
I have uploaded a zip with a tutorial on rooting the LS980. Make sure you unzip the entire zip file and open the README 1st!
I looked at several methods before rooting my device and cannot remember the original author of the tutorial included in the rooting process and files. I take no credit for this tutorial. If I could remember the author I would most definitely give him the credit deserved.

This will flash TWRP on your device. It will also make a backup of your stock recovery. Just extract, place the apk on your device and install. .

One last thing......... I also have the HotSpotMod working on my LS980. The ZVG zip in the thread will work for ZVH also. I had trouble with the mod alone so I tried using the WiFi Tether Router app found on Google Play after flashing the mod. I was able to get the hotspot working with the app. If you decide to flash the HotSpotMod, try it 1st. It may work for you. If not, use the app mentioned above and it'll work.
HotSpotMod-

Thanks to @Ascertion
EDIT: ADDED THE LS980 AUTOREC apk. You'll need it to flash TWRP.
One more thing. As far as I know, none of the custom ROMs have the ZVH patch for stagefright. If you flash one of those builds, as I understand it, you will lose the stagefright patch. Just wanted to make sure that info is known.
EDIT 2:
Please read this before proceeding. Some members have experienced an issue with the send command. Spawn found a fix that has worked for several users. Please be sure to click the THANKS tab on this post.

@wetbiker7, This is the same method I've used several time to get root on zvh. It hasn't worked yet.
For some reason when I run the last "sh" command, the cmd window gives me no feedback and just sits there.
I've left it running for 30 mins before pulling my phone and restarting it.
I'm using the correct "diag" port so I don't understand what the problem is.
Any ideas as to what's going on?
Thanks!

Are you running Windows 8 by chance? A buddy of mine couldn't get it to work on 8. Even if your not running Windows 8, try it on another computer.
Edit : I'll run through the process tomorrow and see if I can get it figured out for you.

Did you enable USB debugging in the developer section on your phone settings?
Did your pc update drivers when you had put the phone in download mode and connect it to the pc? It should have.

Also, I had to unplug my phone and plug it into the pc again to get the pc to recognize it.

About ZVI update
Here http://opensource.lge.com/osSch/list?types=ALL&search=ls980 i've finded ZVI zip. But I've think this is the only source code?! Does anybody receive ZVI OTA update?

its odd everything seems to work until I reach the Send_Command.exe \\.\COM4 part
my COM is COM41 so I did COM41 instead idk if that breaks the process but basically when I run the SH command it just hangs Download Mode seems to be where most of my recent Rooting Attempts fail any ideas what would cause it to hang on running the lg_root.sh?
(update) oddly had to type ENTER rerun the send command then rerun the script now im rooted it looks like IDK why but thats an odd turn of events maybe this will help someone else ^_^

I'm already running ZVH and just got another firmware update notification today. Has to be another security update since it's only 231mbs. What sux is I'll have to TOT back again if I decide to take it.
Anyone else get the update yet?

I'm going to stick with ZVH. It's got the stagefright fix plus it can be rooted and has the hotspot mod. ZVI can't be rooted yet plus the changes made by the ZVI update, according to the info I've read, aren't worth losing root over.
Also, I may play around with CyanogenMod a little more. 12.1 runs great and progress is being made on 13.

[GUIDE] Downgrading from ICS BUILDS ONLY!!!! .29 or .26 to .17 and rooting

NEW WAY TO ROOT NO NEED FOR DOWNGRADE NOR UNLOCK
Check out this thread , give thanks to miloj
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
If you updated to .26 you will need to downgrade to .17 to be able to root your device. If you are on .17 just skip to step #2
STEP ONE
You will need to downgrade using Wolf's 2nd method found here
For this you will need to use ADB, meaning you will need to have Android SDK installed. In order to get ADB working watch this helpful video tutorial (found by tomween1)
There's also a one click script that will do this for you automatically, found here Important note: remember that the automatic script does the same as the 2nd method, so you will need to leave your tablet connected to your pc while doing this. Once you run the script your tablet will reboot in the first couple of seconds (it hasn't finished just yet), then the script will move to the next step, which will take about 10 mins to finish. After this it will reboot and load up the new firmware.
Both processes ask that you have the .17 BLOB file in your Internal SDCard, ASUS had the firmwares previously posted but they took them down. You can Find links to the FWs in the following threads:
US .17 Blob
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1642614 (courtesy of wideopn11)
The BLOB file can be found inside the 2nd zip file downloaded from those mirrors.
DE .17 Blob Should work for downgrading from WW firmwares.
See this post (courtesy of costcutter)
Once downgrade to .17 you can root your device.
STEP TWO
In order to root you will need the apk for SparkyRoot, which you can download here. Just follow the instructions on that thread and you will have a rooted device.
STEP THREE
Do not update your device to .26 just yet! First get Voodoo OTA RootKeeper from the Google Play Store. This application will help you retain root after upgrading. Once you have installed it, open it and follow the instructions inside the app. After making sure that all the check boxes are marked in OTA RootKeeper, you can update to .26
Once you have update you won't have root. So, go into OTA RootKeeper once again and restore your root. Voila!
STEP FOUR
Download and run Titanium Backup from the Google Play Store. It will say that you need to fix some permissions in order to have a fully working root, just tap "Ok" or "Yes" (don't remember which one was it). Then reboot tablet and you are done. Enjoy your rooted tablet!
NOTE:
Remember it is advised that you shouldn't update manually, since you might not be able to restore root. Some people have said that they were able to restore, even while updating manually. Also after rooting, it might take a while to receive the update notification for .26, just keep trying to refresh in Settings>About Tablet>System Firmware Update (be patient, it took me a while to get the update). The firmwares posted in the thread I linked to are for the US, if you have another firmware, non US, for now I don't have links to them. If you do know mirrors hosting non US FWs please post them in a reply message.
This guide hasn't been made from scratch by me, it is a collective work that has expanded through various threads. I would like to thank the following users: wolf849, bpear96, sparkym3, anduzer, wideopn11, demandarin, Gam3r 4 Life, edgemaster191, costcutter, tomween1 and many others that have contributed in finding and hosting this information.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
UPDATE .29
It has been confirmed by user Gam3r 4 Life that downgrading from .29 to .26 is possible using the same method stated here. I'm pretty sure that you can go straight from .29 to .17, if you haven't rooted your device yet, with the same method. Someone confirmed a downgrade from .29 to .17 here
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
UNLOCKED ROOT
There is another way to root your tablet, this only for the people that want to unlock their devices (REMEMBER UNLOCKING YOUR DEVICE VOIDS THE WARRANTY FROM ASUS, YOU WON'T BE ABLE TO GET SUPPORT FROM THEM NOR AUTOMATIC OTA UPDATES....). So, if you want to take this path please look into this thread, in that thread you will find an explanation on how to get CWM running on your unlocked tablet and you will find a flashable file that will root your device. Please read that thread carefully. Also remember to give thanks to XpLoDWilD for preparing it.
I can confirm that the above method works great. Just a heads up DO NOT I repeat DO NOT mess with the build.prop file, I ended up bricking mine all because of some dumb Gameloft game. I now am on my second TF300 and highly recommend staying away from the build.prop until we have a working CWM.
Nice simple guide. I've upgraded and downgraded. Only thing irritating me right now is that I've been able to get the OTA update and Asus cant give an answer as to why other than "keep waiting". I might be on my 3rd tablet soon.

What about people already at .17?
First off, thank you for your original post (Post #1)!
I will get my 300 in about an hour and I would think it will be on .17. If that is the case, I will, of course, decline any offers to update to .26 via OTA message.
I assume, then, I start with Step Two and go from there. Right?
Thanks again.

Yes sir, just download the sparkyroot.apk and follow the onscreen directions! Just make sure you back up the root with Voodos rootkeeper (can be downloaded from the Play Store) and then update the tablet. Once update restore the root from the rootkeeper app, and that is it! Your rooted and on the latest firmware!

I'm on 26, followed the guide completely. On the final adb reboot, the tablet reboots but there is no flashing progress bar and when I check settings, I am still on 26... can anyone help me? :\
EDIT: never mind, I didn't see that I had to go into the zip file and extract the blob file out.
Need some help here. Long story short I bricked my brand new 300 messing around with the build.prop. It wont boot up now. It starts at the asus screen and then goes blank. I am able to get into the different modes by using the volume+power, and I am able to see my device in adb intermittently. I was also able to pull the bad build prop from the system using "ADB pull /system/build.prop c:\". But I am unable to push the good build.prop I have back in. My question is this. Can I use the method described here for downgrading to unbrick my 300? I have no way to put the firmware file onto the internal storage, only the external. So is there someway this can be done? I would really appreciate some help. Thank you

The only thing I can think of, is to try a manual update putting the update zip in a empty sdcard and trying to boot into recovery with power+volume. If that doesn't work you will have to wait for an unlocked bootloader.

How do I unroot?
I love my 300 after I rooted it while on .17, then saved my root, updated to .26 and then re-rooted. Unfortunately I cannot get this device to connect to my Netgear WNDR4000 router without disabling all security. I have added numerous wireless devices, including a Gingerbread smartphone, with no diffulty whatsoever. But this puppy will not connect even though it sees the SSID. So I need to return it and I want it to be unrooted and then I'll do a factory re-set.
Any advice on unrooting my 300 would be appreciated.
Not really an expert here, but I guess the simplest way I could think of is flashing a different Firmware than the one you have. Since updating from .17 to .26 loses root. After that just make sure you don't have root by running OTA RootKeeper, then do a factory reset.
You could try that or wait for a more profesional opinion
On another note did you call ASUS Support to see if they could help you with your specific problem? There's no way that the pad can connect to the router?

Thanks for the quick reply.
No, I didn't call ASUS Support. I don't have much faith in tech support these days.
Yes, it did connect to my router but only after I deleted all security on the router. I did that just to see if it could connect at all. However, it does not play nice with the security level I need on my router for my wireless devices.
Has anyone tried doing a factory reset after rooting .17, taking the OTA to .26, restoring root on .26 and is able to confirm if root will stick through a factory reset on .26?

I did a factory reset on .26 and root stuck, you just have to re download superuser app from play store. (this is assuming you saved your root with root keeper)

Of course I have OTA rootkeeper backing up my root. Thanks for the update.
I used the vipermod to downgrade to .17, then used the sparkyroot to root, and then used OTA Rootkeeper and it worked flawlessly after updating the firmware to .26. Thanks!

Root method

I think i saw someone post this method before, but can't find it. So i post root method. Currently this method work on the latest Canadian OG firmware (Both E971 and E973). i did not make this method, i just find it from a chinese web. Here is the link

Here is the instruction.
1. Unzip the zip file
2. turn on usb debug and plug in the cable to pc
3. double click the root.bat
4. unplug the cable.
5. Turn off the usb debug
6. turn on the usb debug
7. plug in the cable.
8. Press enter until it root.
9. Done.
So this work for the E973 on latest stock firmware...? e973H ..?
Be careful, this root is for "[Tutorial] F180 the series 4.1Root method"

I want to root this thing soooo bad!! But I want to have a backup of the official JB update, and I don't want something to prevent me from installing it via OTA. I'm curious to see what lg will do with jb. I'm really liking the stock ICS experience on this phone, and I think they'll just kill it (in a good way) with jb!

I really would have posted this much sooner, however, this particular method was being kept secret with the intention of the exploit still being available upon US Jelly Bean release. Since this has been outed, and is now public, i will share a more proper script of the same method. I actually kept the adb shell id command, as it is pretty useful for this operation.
Main differences in my script is that you don't need to ever disconnect your phone.
1. Unzip the zip file
2. Make sure USB Debugging is on, and your are in Charge only Mode
3. Run the CurrentRoot.bat, wait for the prompt
4. Change to MTP mode.
5. Wait for your computer to ask how to view files.
6. Press enter in the CMD prompt to continue.
7. Done.
This is a fully working method for the most current US/Canadian releases, and Jelly Bean releases. BTW, the current release does not install busybox correctly, includes SuperuserPro.apk (which I'm sure wasn't purchased by everyone downloading this). Also I have updated it to the latest busybox, su binary's, and Superuser.apk available.

I can't thank you enough.... I got my Optimus G in Dec. and I immediately found root method and was completely content with my new phone. Then came the dreaded OTA update that I knew would remove root. I avoided the update with determination. I shouldn't have let my goofy sister touch my phone... After our got it back from her I realized I wasn't receiving the update reminders. I panicked, checked root, root was lost! :crying: I began searching everywhere only to find that there was no root for zv9....For weeks it was the same. Then yesterday I found your method, fired up my laptop and within 5 minutes my LGOG ZV9 on Sprint was rooted again! Thanks again. I can't tell you how much I rely on my free wifi tether.
---------- Post added at 01:04 AM ---------- Previous post was at 12:53 AM ----------
I re-rooted my LGOG after the OTA update to ZV9 robbed me of my original root. It only took about five minutes and worked flawlessly. Well tonight I tried to root my girlfriends phone (also a LGOG running ZV9 on the Sprint network) and although it ran through the process just as mine did, as well as stated root was successful, when I run root check to confirm it comes back negative. What am I doing wrong? Any ideas? Thanks

Every time I run CurrentRoot.bat I receive the error " 'adb' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file" after every step.
Im on Telus running E97310g
confirmed working on LG E975 Singapore version
Afraid LG did something, cant get it to root.
I have an E975 with 4.1.2, software version E97510a-525-05.
I won it in LGs test pilot contest so not sure if its something they did to this or if they plugged the hole completely for the future also.
The guy I spoke to said something about them being flashed as we spoke, and it looked like the phone could have been taken from the box.
Should I wait and hope they send a update after the contest is over or can I use a KDZ and if so, what KDZ can I use to maintain same radio bands?
EDIT: Tried the LG sMobile Support tool and it said it found an update. So now its downloading that *holds thumbs*
EDIT2: Updated to E97510B and still no go, guess they did something to the euro version...
cant root
hi, i tried the CurrentRoot.bat and followed the instructions but couldn't root. it said phone now rooted and restarted the phone but there was no superuser after that
i saved a screenshot of it incase anyone can figure out whats wrong. just got the phone yesterday.... Best phone i've ever used.(from starhub singapore if it helps)
i think its because of the uid and gid not being zero. any ideas??

Awesome! Worked perfect on my E975 10b - europe edition :good:
No root for my E750 v10D. Instead since my root atempt can't get iGO Primo 2.0 to work again. The phone closes apk with no error message. I have been trying diferent versions, factory reset still no luck.
How can I reflash firmware again since LG support tool says I have the latest version?
L.E. Done with the reflash and iGO primo works again...

[TOT] Sprint LS980 ZVC 4.4.2

The Sprint ZVC 4.4.2 .TOT is now available on the Codefire servers. TOT is used along with a .dll in LG Flash to install the stock firmware. Running this WILL erase your data including whatever is on the internal SD card.
I had to pay for this.. so donations are welcomed :highfive:
TOT (ZVC zip.. unzip it FOOL!) and .DLL can be found HERE.
Guide to use this can be found HERE. Yes, it's for Verizon but it can be loosely followed.. just replace the verizon stuff with the Sprint files.

Noob question: If I use this TOT to upgrade my ZV7 to ZVC, can I downgrade it back to ZV7 using ZV7 TOT? Asking since I use the permanent unlock and if it does not work on ZVC, I will have to downgrade it.

I have not done it, but I believe others have confirmed you can still downgrade.
Permanent GSM unlock will be erased if you use flash tool.
I took the OTA without root with stock recovery without GSM unlock.
Managed to root using ioroot25, flashed CDMA on NV got data for CDMA, then tried the unlock for GSM. Did not work. Now after messing around I managed to unlock GSM with data. Also found that it's either GSM or CDMA. Both for now will not work together like before.

Unrelated to the update by phone decided to brick itself while doing a backup.
I decided to go ahead and do the upgrade while I am restoring. I can get into download mode, but my computer can no see it. Installed Drivers already, just does not show up in device manager.
Anyone have any ideas on how I can get this going?
Is there a version that won't wipe all data from the phone? i made a backup but forgot to drop box it so now i need to save that if possible and then restore the firmware

Change the port number for the device in the Microsoft device manager...I can't remember if it is port 41 or port 43. Give both a try!

It is port 41, but I can not change it as Windows doesn't recognize that a device has been plugged in at all.
New to TOT and LG in general, would I be able to use this to come from ZV8? I assume that TOT's completely redo everything so it doesn't matter (to a degree) what's on it before (except in the case of downgrading). Thanks!

Try different drivers. I had to use the TOT method found here and it worked for me with no issues. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2432476
This worked where the modified OTA failed. I did need to unplug and re-attach the phone after the driver sorted itself out.
Thank you!
Hope someone makes a flashable pre rooted ROM.zip from this.

what's the MD5/SHA1 sum for the TOT so I can be sure my download is good?
Wonder if this happened to anyone else. First I installed the LGFlashTool 1.8, then set my clock to 4/1/2012 and opened LGFlashTool. It says something about LG FLASH TOOL ERROR LG USB/PARELLEL. went ahead anyway and selected the .dll and .tot files and changed all the ports per instructions. Long story short, the files flashed but showed failed at 94% but phone had booted to accessibility settings and was talking to me in the weird robotic voice. I went ahead and disconnected and set up phone then rooted with ioroot25. all seems to ok but I wonder if the fail is going to be a problem somewhere down the line. I have not noticed any problems. Any suggestions?

YOu can still get rooted if u are on 10m. I did. It wont exit properly so u will need to pull the battery after it is done.

Correct. However, it does not install TWRP, nor the custom Boot.IMG to prevent triggering the root counter. I too would like to see an update to include these items.

I see your concern.. you can manually install twrp but i have no idea bout the boot.img
i did all except that. Someone mentioned you can flash back to stock and it will fix the root counter. If you ever need to send in your phone that is... but i do understand its easier if this would be one package kind of thing.
IDK how to even check that yet. LOL. I have already rooted and unrooted, just to familiarize myself with the process.

Yes, but as stated above, it will glitch. The glitch just freezes on the permaroot steps. Once this happens, removing the battery and rebooting still keeps your device rooted. With 10M, currently, you will have to manually install TWRP. I recommend downloading the IMG file online, and using Flashify to flash it.

Thank you for the response. Do you think its worth rooting since 5.0 is coming out soon? I still want to root but will I have to unroot in order to get the 5.0 upgrade? or better yet, will the LG get the upgrade any time soon. Sorry for these questions. And also, since this phone has the top notch camera resolution, will rooting affect the camera?

I unrooted to ensure I get the update. If you are rooted, and have not turned off OTA, you might get the OTA, and it might break something. I personally like the LG camera better than any other so far. Another reason I went back to stock. Rooting and keeping the stock OS, should leave the camera alone. If you flash a different ROM, your mileage may vary.
We should be getting 5.0 before the end of the year, officially. LINK

My apologies, that's for restoring stock... I see in your posts, you have it set to PTP... Mine was set to MTP. While "waiting for device" was on screen, I unplugged and replugged the phone. Aside from that, seems like you have done everything else properly...

How to upgrade to 13B via KDZ

My G4 was running 11A (rooted) and I wanted to upgrade to 13B
So follow this steps and you will be able to upgrade.
First make sure your phone is recognized by your PC.
Step 1. Download the 13B KDZ (Full stock image not the rooted) from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-g4/general/vs986-rooteddebloated-t3256814 (Edit 2 on big red fonts)
Step 2. Download LG Flash Tool from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/g4/general/guide-lg-g4-stock-firmware-to-stock-kdz-t3107848
Step 3. Put the phone in download mode.
Step 4. Launch LG Flash tool select the VS98613B_00_ARB02.kdz file you downloaded on step #1.
Step 5. choose CSE Flash, on the pop up window choose start, then click OK and let the phone alone.
You can get some weird popup window that the server is not responding, let that alone. After the progress bar on LG Flash tool finished to 100% the phone will reboot itself and you will be on the Verizon setup screen, if you don't have a verizon sim, then it's going to pop up something saying that it doesn't have a verizon sim or something like that, just ignore and setup the phone using WiFi connection. And thats all. Now you will be on 13B.
DISCLAIMER: this process is done under your responsibility.
Ok in case another newbie wants to do the upgrade, those are the steps. I did it using CSE Flash.

To root you need to read the whole post from here http://forum.xda-developers.com/verizon-g4/general/vs986-rooteddebloated-t3256814 there you will find the rooted IMG file that you need.
I'll definitely take this thread's instructions as a shortcut to get the LG G4 up to firmware 13B and then root it. I rather start fresh with 13B rather than carry anything that may have gone wrong with firmware 10B when it was rooted. I also don't care about the vaporware 10B ROM hack.
ok, so it may be a dumb question, so forgive me in advance, I am currently on stock 13b, it is possible to flash the rooted kdz file to obtain root on 13b?
it sounds like it would be too easy and therefore....it might be
also would like to add that i have been following several threads since getting this phone, I appreciate all the hard work and knowledge you guys provide. :good:

I did it using Win 10, and I start LG flash tool with admin rights.
Not sure if you saw my edit above, but I got everything working.
Anyways,I thought the img we were flashing was already rooted. So I guess its a bit more involved. So let's see if I got this straight.
After following instructions from this thread, all I have is a rootable (but not yet rooted) 13b img.
So the next step is to root it using the low effort root method with the below file
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=24269982087013417
But, if for whatever reason, I need to unroot, I need to make a backup of my current system image using this thread below.

I can't seem to find the answer to this anywhere --
Is this the technical equivalent of taking the OTA for 13B?
In other words, am I also getting the updated baseband/radio/bootloader by using this KDZ (or whatever the LG equivalents of those things are)?
Or does this just put /system components of 13B on there?
