A little something I made because I was bored of the original boot animation.
* Tested on CM 12.1
* Not working on Fire OS 5.1.1 according to @gillybot36

Does this remove the "Fire" animation or the initial "Amazon" that first pops up?

Kernels Logo?

The gray Amazon logo at the start is associated with the Kernel and can only be replaced by modifying the kernel in some way. However the fire Logo which is located in the Fire's root accesible partion should indeed be replaced(CM 12.1)/ theoretically replaced(Fire OS 5).
BTW try the CM, it really makes this $50 tablet much faster.

I'm currently on the SlimLP ROM and it is also night and day compared to the stock Amazon crap. Since I am a flashaholic I will try out CM 12.1 also.

No it isn't. It uses a logo.bin which can not be changed without unlocking the bootloader.

Flash in recovery....

FireOS 5.1.1 through Flashfire is a no go. Just reboots as if nothing happened. Just a heads up if anyone was curious.

Can this be applied to unrooted fire?

No. It requires you to modify the system partition, which obviously isn't possible without root access.

this works when flashed through twrp, but not through flashfire. Can you make it work thru flashfire?

how would you do it anyways? choose auto mount or no automount?
you use just flahfire then go to flash OTA select the zip then flash right
also does it matter if i have resurrection remix rom flashed?
there is an option in the setting about boot animations but it does nothing theme option does nothing i wonder if i flash these with FF will i get an option to switch boot animation in my settings under themes where it sasy change boot animation or if this is a broken feature in this rom
i want to try but im afraid i will break somethin cause i am not sure what i chose in flashfire automount or no automount, what exactly does automonunt do anyways? is it dangerous if you do not select the right option? can it get you stuck in a boot loop or a brick?
reported not working 5.1.1 bt is that just for fire OS or is that for 5.1.1. with a custom rom?

Not work on CM 12.1 through flashfire 0.27

Doesn't matter as long as you have the old bootanimation.zip in /system/media
Quick question, is it gonna loop until the phone boots? I don't like those bootanimations. I like seeing them once per phone boot xD.
What I mean is, is the little fiery part gonna stay till the end and not the complete animation.

Okay. I'm making this mine as soon as I flash CM9. Lmao
EDIT: I have another question, since you optimized it for the Ace, does it start off slow then speed up for the rest of the animation? I've had those problems with other BA's like the Galaxy Nexus' animation starts off really slow and laggy then after it plays once, it goes full speed.

ALL BOOTANIMATIONS WILL START OFF SLOW AND THEN GET TO NORMAL SPEED!!! Unless it is very small, all bootanimation will start slightly slow becausethe phone caches all images. But I have reduced the lag

Ooh I see. Is it just on the Ace? I've seen a Gnexus boot and it shows normally o.0. Maybe its hardware related or something? No idea.

is it possible to replace manually the zip on system via root explorer?

You don't flash a bootanimation. You always replace it with root explorer. system/media folder. Make sure its named EXACTLY "bootanimation.zip" No Bootanimation or any other name.
Please read instructions next time before doing anything again on your phone. From what I can see, you're one of the kinds that would brick their phone with Rom Manager.

And I love AOKP.

Just a bump...and a reminder that this exists
Oh, and Build 2 mods have been out since release...
Yay!
Git being down kept builds from being made.
And it coming up yesterday right when I was heading to class didn't help.
To make up for it...
I picked a BUNCH of cherries.
Some had to be rebased... but it seems I've done everything correctly in my testing on grouper.
Mods MIGHT not make it in.
My PC is slooowwww. And I have class.
Grouper up now.
Toro and Maguro sometime soon (a few hours).
TORO and MAGURO UP!
And I'll go ahead and make the mods...I think I have time to finish Maguro up too.
Mods soon.
Dual Panel at any DPI is pretty dope!
Even looks nice on TORO.

Just had a user confirm it's working for him on Maguro.
So you flashed the ROM...and booted up.
Then you reboot recovery and flash the mod? It might take a few extra seconds to boot the first time but it should without issue.

Process:
Install build 3.
Boot up.
Reboot recovery.
Install mod.
Don't wipe anything. Boot up again.
The only reason I outline this is I thought I was boot looping myself once so I reflashed after booting up from then on.

Welcome to my collection of Bootanimations. I will be posting my created and ported bootanimations here. I also accept requests and ports, so if you see a nice bootanimation for some other phone, ask me to make it for our phone. I used to port them previously for HTC Pico, but now that I've bought the Redmi 1s, i will be making a few for this too.

yes! there are two ways to do that...
1. Resize it to our phone's resolution, this way you lose quality
2. Center it on screen, this will retain quality but the image will look small
Eg like the Ubuntu bootanimation i made, it is from a 480p source.
Send me the bootanim and i'll work on it.

1. Use .jpg as the image format.
2. If you have photoshop, reduce every image's quality in order to reduce filesize. Do not take it below 20% or the pixels will become evident. This way, below 50% the quality of image will deteriorate exponentially.
3. If you don't have Photoshop you can use a software called FotoSizer, which will do batch jobs.

[BOOTANIMATION] 6T BIOS Boot Animation

After someone said my custom boot animation looked very cool I decided to share it here.
It is based on @frysee Android Bios Boot animation.
I upscaled the Galaxy Nexus S bootanimation using Irfanview to get that crisp nearest neighbor batch resize. I also changed the text to the 6T specs.
I have linked below both a the Bootanimation.zip and a Magisk module.

This is pretty damn cool, it works just fine on the op7pro even if the data doesn't match, it's still amazingly good
Thank you for this. Takes me back to the good old days of my Galaxy Nexus.
Thanks for this greate and funny bootanimation
In my opinion You could add .zip of generic boot animation, so we can come back if we wish to.
Second thing would be version of oxygen, instead 10.3.2 You could use 10 or 10.x.x. as 10.3.3 is on most of devices now days.
Third suggestion is to ditch the last android boot, and stay with the screen where "activating root access" is on wait for longer. At the end showing "have a nice day"
Thank You for Your work.

It's not about me. Good to have it there. Saw many, many threads with that kind of practise. I won't use it for reasons I pointed out, but as I said it's not about me.

Kind of adds you to the mix...
Could you update the bootanimation to reflect the latest 10.3.4 version ore guide me to do it by my self?
I mean the editing part. Extracting and repacking is clear

I assume like any other boot animation zip, this must be containing the images which are displayed. Open the zip file & you modify the image files as you like But you'll be needing the exact same font.
Sent from my #FlagshipKiller3T using Tapatalk
It was working well on OOS and AOSPA but not working on evo ex rom. What could be the reason.
Edit: Got it working with some modification to the zip. Its due to a different implementation of how bootanimation work in many custom roms on dark mode.
Wondering if you could help? I just tried flashing the Bootimage.zip file I downloaded from your feed (I used TWRP), I'm on OnePlus 6T (T-Mobile, USA model), rooted, running LineageOS. For some reason its saying the .zip file is the incorrect type. Sorry if this is noob question/mistake on my part, but any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

This .zip file is not for flashing, you just need to copy it to the /system/media (in some roms /system/product/media) folder, but to do this, you have to use a filemanager with root-permissions.
Where is the download link?
* Edit: Found it nevermind
Hello! I can't seem to find the magisk module zip for download. Is it the zip that is listed with the previews? Could you please advise or direct me to where I can download please? Also is this working on Oneplus 6t TMobile version running stock Android 10.3.6? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Cheers!!
