Black Friday/Cyber monday Orzly Type -C New 3.0 Version Cables - OnePlus 2 Accessories

Hi guys
I have seen this on the Orzly Facebook page and have ordered the quad pack and thought id share it with the community
Type c cables are still pretty expensive so this is excellent value. Also there is a lot of bad press on 2.0 cables as found in the oneplus two box, i can see the below are the latest 3.0 version which will also work on laptops etc etc

i've been reading up on stuff to be ready to root and to know what accessories to buy, etc.

i would like some help to come up with the best accessories that i will buy for myself on christmas day or ones i might want down the line.
SO PLEASE HELP (with links to actual products...amazon preferred):
Case/cover/stand
Charging/Multimedia Dock
Adapters
Extra Cables
Keyboard Dock or Bluetooth Keyboard
Anything else i should look for...
i hand out THANKS to anyone who helps make this a complete and up to date list with all the latest and greatest for the SGT 10.1
You will probably get a lot of different opinions on this one. Most will likely be correct since there is no absolute right answer. I am a new user as well so I can share with you what I have or plan to get.
My Tab came with the Samsung pouch case which is fine but a bit inconvenient. Where do you put it when you pull the Tab out for use. I picked up one of the clip-style cases on eBay. It is very lightweight and functional.
I am going to gamble that Gorilla Glass is as tough as they say and not get a screen cover. I have, however applied a coat of Rain-X to help minimize the accumulation of fingerprints.
My device also came with the Samsung keyboard dock. This is a very nice device but not something you will probably take on the road. If you want a traveling keyboard, you might want to look into one of the integrated keyboard cases. Just remember, one of the great aspects to tablets is their light weight. Adding the mobile keyboard will double the weight.
I am still shopping for a do-it-all adapter cable. One day all tablets will come with USB, HDMI and card readers built in. I expect that I will need or want all of those connection options but right now, it does not appear that there is a plug-adaptor that offers all of those functions. The minimalist way to go is to get a USB cable or dongle which will allow you to plug in a variety of things. There is an interesting looking hub adapter on eBay that includes and SD reader and three USB ports. I have not yet heard reports from any actual users but for less $14 it might be worth giving it a try.
HDMI connectors remain elusive. The only ones that I have found so far require a 110V power connection in order to work. I am sure something will show up down the road.
One annoying thing about the Tab is the high amperage requirement for charging. Most car chargers put out far less than the 2A minimum that this device needs. USB ports on most computers are also underpowered for the Tab. If you travel, you will need a car charger. Just make sure that it will push enough current to charge your Tab.
If you are like me, the most important stuff that you will add to your new Tab will be Apps. There are many thousands of apps out there. Most seem to be games or less-than-useful apps that are not worth your time. There are, however a number of really useful apps out there that you will want to check out. Search this forum and others for opinions on that subject.
Hopefully you will find my observations helpful.

Hmm...there aren't a lot of them
Today I just bought the Samsung Galaxytab 10.1 USB adapter at Bestbuy for $19.99. At first I thought it was only for connecting a USB thumb drive but I found later it can be used for much more. In fact I tried using a Logitech Wireless Keyboard and Mouse Unifying adapter. It works flawless, in fact the response of the keyboard was spot on, if the unifying wireless adapter works I'm sure the mouse would too. The USB thumb drive works like a charm as well. I also bought the Dock for the Tab, Bestbuy doesn't sell the one with the HDMI output but does sell this one with the 3.5mm Lineout for audio and charging adapter at the back. The dock is connected to the 30pin adapter and can be charged and also have the USB dongle attached at the back for convenience. Bestbuy also has the Targus leather case stand for it, it's fairly thick material with a nice leather like microfiber interior to help in protecting the tab from scratches, it also doubles as a nice stand with three positions. All three products for just under 100 bucks. By the way the Dock was 34.99 and the case I believe was 39.99.
thanks for the replies. still looking for more help/links.
very good info though
i've also seen 2 different "OEM" USB connectors
EPL-1PL0BEGSTA & EPL-1PL0BEGXAR, what's the diff?
which is newer/better?

One drawback... you cannot charge the Tab when using the adapters.
Just got 'DigitalsOnDemand 15-Item Accessory Bundle for New Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 Wi-Fi / 3G 4G LTE 16GB 32GB'
Includes: DigitalsOnDemand Black TPU Skin Case, Crystal Clear Case, Premium DigitalsOnDemand Leather Case with Kick Stand, Screen Protector, Adjustable Reading Book Light, Earphones with mic, Earphone Splitter, AUX Cable, Wall Charger Adapter, Car Charger Adapter, USB Sync Cable, Retractable USB Data Cable, Fishbone, DigitalsOnDemand Drawstring Travel Pouch, Black Stylus Pen
Cables, earphones and adapters work fine. I honestly bought the bundle just for the extra cables and adapters, so was pleasantly surprised that the cases look all fine. Loved the leather case (not used the other two till now). The stylus is nothing great, but is a nice extra in the package. Have not tried the screen protector as I feel there is no need for it. All in all an excellent buy for just below $60.
The USB adapter came free with my tab. So check before you by one.
I forgot to mention that I also ordered 'New Trent iGeek IMP99D 9900mAh External Battery Pack Dual USB ports' I got it on cyber Monday for $40.95 now it's $61.95 (still down from list price of $ 129.95). The battery is compatible with Tablet PCs with 5V/2A input (Ipad 2, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, HTC flyer). This will take care of battery issues in my mobile devices. The product name includes the amazon link and here is their own website http://www.newtrent.com
It's still with a friend of mine in US, so will get it only next month. Will give a full review once I receive it in India. However I am already happy with recommending them, as the customer service is out of this world. There were some problems with the order by credit card. They immediately contacted me. The owner self spoke with me and immediately solved all issues.
thanks a bunch. i will check to see what all is included before i buy anything extra...also i have thought of buying one of those battery packs before, but never pulled the trigger due to price and not the greatest reviews on some of them....some say they work great at first, then dont hold a charge or explode or whatever.
I had similar concerns, as I read some very negative reviews on some external battery packs. I bought this model, because I read very good reviews about this company and got it for an very enticing US$ 40.95. The website also specially mentioned that it is compatible with Tablet PCs (iPad 2, SamSung Tab 10.1, and HTC flyer) and it weighs only 250g. The 11000 mAh would have been 285g.
It includes
IMP99D external battery pack (9900mAh)
USB cable for charging Cell phone device
One USB cable for charging Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1
MiniUSB adapter for Blackberry
MicroUSB adapter for Blackberry and HTC Androd, Moto Droid
AC Wall Outlet plug with voltage range 100V-240V suitable for worldwide travelers
English user manual
here is a short review I found for the battery pack I purchased
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b1beOZ1ylYA
Here is another video from the predecessor model which helped me to make my mind up:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DDRCwPOTeFk
As already told experienced also excellent customer service.

i've bought only 3 things so far.
the case/stand
the USB & SD Card adapters
which dock is the best dock (link on amazon please) and will it work with the case i have, or will i have to pop it out every time i need to charge it?
how's the read/write speed on the adapters?

Hi Samir
Did you have enough time to do the charge test ? I'd like to buy some cables for my OPT.
I ordered a couple of these adaptors
http://www.aliexpress.com/item/USB-...le-New-Macbook-Oneplus-Two-2/32432538845.html
But I'm not sure about quality... And those cables are nearly the same price.
Thanks
Just tried out the Amazon HAMA USB-C Cable and it fits poorly.
Even touching the cable interrupts charging / communication isnt working at all.
Hi i have faced no such issue with Orzly cables
Here is the result of short test done
Time for 1 percent charge
Oneplus Cable which came with Phone around 3 minutes
Orzly C Type cable around 2.2 minutes
There's a month delay on getting the Orzly cables via Amazon. Instead I ordered a cable from Monoprice and their Type-C conversion cap.
http://www.monoprice.com/pages/usb_31_type_c
Thats really strange because the C type cables were the first accessory available by Orzly
Thanks for the review. Probably gonna pick up a couple of these cales :good:
Just bought a 5 pack from orzly for 12.99. Not bad!

I did too, received em pretty quick. They charge as fast as the original cable. Great build quality.
The unbranded USB A to C cable in my country is hard to find. (Thailand)
(I just found one price is massive 16.7 USD. for each (100cm. long))
I ordered a Vinsic 3.1 Type C on amazon. There is a coupon code I used, I don't know if it still works for 2 dollars off. VTJKQWRG
I ordered the OPT on the 3rd and It has not been shipped yet. I have the cable and no way to test. Reviews are positive though.
http://www.amazon.com/Vinsic-Chargi...ls&ascsubtag=f402d30a391849e29fe1585f4f3a3e46
I bought three of those multi packs (containing 4 cables) to share with my brother who also bought an OPT. Cheap and from the looks of it, good.

USB C Spec Compliant cables!

So there has been a huge issue with USB-C cables not being spec compliant, as I do reviews on youtube I plan to regularly review the cables here! The first ones I can recommend are the new Orzly cables!

Hi
Thanks for sharing the info. I have seen some with good quality at low price at LatestOne.com you can check that one also.
Look up Benson Leung's Amazon.com profile, he's been testing USB-C cables until one cooked his Chromebook Pixel, but he's got a list of compliant ones that you can then order/add to your wish list, etc.

This is correct. I would highly recommend following along with his Amazon profile or the excel spreadsheet of the list of tested cables. There's also pricing on there to for budget purposes.
I'm so glad I had my Nexus 6P cable and charger left over. I've been using them forever and they work great.
Don't use cheap cables lol. Using the one from my Huawei Honor 8 and it scorched. ?

Recommended USB C cables?

This device is officially my debut into the world of USB C; I've never had a single device that uses it. I'm excited, but also cautious as I've read it can be dangerous if you buy a less-than-reputable brand for cables.
What brands would you recommend? Ideally, available on Amazon since that is where I buy pretty much everything from
*Side question - My previous device is an S7 Edge, and as such I have multiple QC 2.0 compliant chargers around the house and in my car (including wireless). I want to clarify whether I can continue to use those and expect fast charging or not*
I am using an Anker 2.0 car charger with mine with no issue. I did have to get a USB-A to USB-C adapter to be able to plug my car dock in (it's got a fixed USB-C cable).
I bought the Anker Powerline+ cable and a 3 pack of the regular Anker Powerline cables just to toss around, they're good.
Im using usb cables from a store called five below, got 5 black meshed ones right when the s8 came out. Now they are sold out. They are 6 feet 2 and working good

Go for Anker PowerLine USB-C to USB 3.0 Cable. It has 3ft including plugs and made up of aramid fiber reinforcement which makes it stronger and more durable.

This is what I've been using on my S8+
USB C, Veckle Type C to USB 3.0 (USB 3.1 Gen 1) 6.6 Ft Braided USB C Cable
My S8+ arrived today, and I've ordered the following Aukey 5-pack from Amazon (UK). They will arrive tomorrow.
I've had pretty good luck with Anker and Aukey products, alike. Sounds like there's no hiccup with their USB C lineup. Has anyone used both, or prefer one over the other? Why?

I've used both in the past, and have no preference and for me it comes down to price/offers and convenience (in stock/out of stock). Both make quality products in my experience, and you can't go wrong with either. I usually look first for Anker or Aukey products when I need things like cables, power packs/external batteries, car or wall chargers.
Google USB-A to USB- C, for the Pixel is the Best of them all, including Samsung

Where should I get the USB-C to USB-C long cable in India?

Hello Guys, I am sure some of you already feel it that the cable provided with the box is too short. So, Can anyone help me to find the perfect USB-C to USB-C charging cable to use with Pixel 2 charger?
Try amazon basics . Amazon have type c to type c cable in 0.9 meter, 1.8 meter and 2.7 meter. Costs about 700 . Let me know if u buy one n how well they work.
Thank you for quick reaponse. Yeah I think Amazon basics is the only one I could find as well but wanted to check if is there any other optional good brand available. I would most probably buy Amazon Basics and let you guys know my feedback.
I ordered this from Aliexpress. Have not received it yet so can't comment on the quality:
