As CM10.1 has hit the general release, Avatar Team is branching with stable and nightly releases.
Stable releases are marked as 3.0. This is the first stable release from Avatar Team. Stable releases will be weekly or bi-weekly and will be tested extensively by our testing team.
Nightly releases will kickstart in a few days. We will merge CM changes every day and it will also contain experimental features from Avatar.
We highly recommend to wipe cache/data/dalvik before flashing the stable releases.

Downloaded and installed just as it should. Install was actually quicker than I have seen on any other ROM. So much so that I doubted it would actually boot.
1. Bluetooth phone audio works fine (as it should, but with the issues that CM had with it in the past still feel it was worth mentioning)
2. Wifi tethering worked great.
3. Advanced Reboot options are hidden...as you would expect them to be if you've used CM lately, but mentioning it for those coming from a ROM where the developer may have unhidden it.
Only issue I noticed off the bat was a loss of cell signal after my first call. I only mention it cause I had never seen it before but it lasted for like 10 seconds and then signal came back again without me doing anything. With the phone sitting on my desk at work, the cell signal seems to fluctuate a lot. I go from 2 bars to 4 bars to 1 bar to 2 bars. Not sure if that is a ROM thing or not, most other ROMS seem to keep me pretty static at 2 bars.
All in all, seems to be a very solid release. Thanks alot for bringing this to the Note 2. As I said before, I loved it on the Note 1. Keep up the great and awesome work.

Thanks for the feedback. When we tested it there were no signal problems. It could be a temporary thing. If this continues let us know.

You're welcome. Signal seems to have calmed down and is basically static at 2 bars as I would expect to receive in my office.
Noticed one other issue and I think it's with the Bazooka Launcher. cLock doesn't seem to be fitting properly. Here are a couple of screen shots to show what I mean.

edit...noticed in the play store that there was an update to bazooka launcher although when I try and install it, i get an error that says "package file was not signed correctly....." I remember the same thing happened on the Note 1 so not sure if this is really an issue or not. I was hoping the update might have fixed the cLock sizing bug. I tried to look in the bazooka settings to see what version it was to see if there really was an update, but it doesn't say the version. Just thought I would mention it here.
I hope you don't think I am being nitpicky cause that isnt my intention.

I have 2 questions before flashing
1) Does the mms app have threaded group messaging like other CM10 roms? Its something i sorely miss in tw roms.
2) Will I have any issues with this rom using ford sync in my car?

We have a java based theme creator tool but it is not stable. We are releasing a QT based one which can do this. But you have to wait for some days.

Pretty cool Rom - a little buggy - some screen flickers - but minimal - I have always loved MIUI - but they have gotten kind of strange with their coins and themes and stuff - there are some great themes here now - looking forward to seeing more in the future - This rom is definitely worth checking out! Flashing now then lol. Titanium Backup will be my friend tomorrow. I'll report back after I run this pony around the track.
Edit: So far so good. Superuser was being a little wonky at first. Wasn't able to get permission for a couple apps and tried to run some scripts in an adb shell and root permission was getting denied. I went into the built in settings and toggled superuser off and then back on and haven't had issues since.
I dig the visual style. Comes with an apollo app that I haven't seen yet and it is NICE. Boot animation is sick too.
Flashing now then lol. Titanium Backup will be my friend tomorrow. I'll report back after I run this pony around the track.
I'm taking the same road going to flash quick before going to sleep then run it through the paces and looking forward to new rom.
I will try this in a few after assisting for exam tomorrow

This will drastically improve I/O performance (mostly on write operations) at the expense of file system integrity in certain situations, like unexpected system shutdown. Turn off the device.

Check if modem changed after phone reboots. If not, repeat the steps again.

Q: I am getting assert failed when I am trying to flash the rom. What should I do?
A: I have put a security command to check the models of your phone, because we have several versions for our device, and some people might flash on the wrong model.
This command makes sure you are using the right model.
If you have the right model and you still get that, you have to use PhilZ recovery:

After you flash the recovery, flash the rom agian and it will work.

Q: When I try to flash your rom I get Installation aborted, why?
A: In the latest version of Philz there is a problem with using wipes before flashing zips.
For example, if you click on "Full wipe to install clean rom" via philz or use Super Wipe, you won't be able to flash any zip until you reinstall recovery.
So the solution is:
1. Flash first the rom
2. In aroma select Full Wipe
3. Enjoy.
If you have already made full wipe /super wipe via philz, just reinstall the recovery.

Dirty Unicorns is a custom ROM built with stability in mind and optional customization. The idea to start this ROM began out of pure boredom around 4.1.2 on the EVO 3D and later turned into a form of an addiction (a good one) to see where we could go from there. We have since expanded to more devices to include the HTC One, Nexus 5, SGS4 and many more. We quickly realize that users loved what we were doing as well as other developers because it was done the right way. We've always had fun doing it and take pride in knowing that we've done it without having to bug the end user for donations to pay for server costs and/or any of those sob stories you hear. This ROM is 100 percent free and will remain that way.

SO WHY A NEW THREAD?
The old maintainer ktempleton has been hit with this thing we like to call LIFE and can no longer maintain the other threads.
For this reason, I've taken the steps necessary to make d710 updated to newest DU source as their new maintainer.
Very nice, and thank you dastin, very much for picking up, maintaining and updating DU.
Good lucks to ktempleton and I hope that he lives his life to the fullest.

I had problems also. The buttons on the first screen were to close. It was hard to press the arrow without making an emergency call. I finally got through the setup, but because I dirty flashed, I had launcher problems. I will try this again on my spare phone and see what happens. I will admit I saw a bunch of tweaks. Can't wait to try them out. The only bad thing was the battery was draining as I was setting this up. I was hooked to my laptop.

On this one bro, you are wrong. Sorry. The Extreme Kernel is like Blasphemy Kernel. Those are the only 2 kernels I knowthat will charge the Phone on USB. This kernel is not like that. THat is one of the things I asked about for the Villuminati ROM. It's one of the main reasons I stayed on PAC 4.2 for so long. Check out the Blasphemy Kernel page.

Isn't this the old version of the kernel that you released... Just checking because I am wanting a kernel on this for some undervolting myself.. Also guys I'm thinking some of the above guys are doing something wrong, as I am on the sch-r760 and this is running flawless right now

What kernel is running on this rom? I thought that Blasphemy hadn't been updated in months? Finally, is there any way to get extremekernelV2 to work on this rom? I love how it works on Commotio.

Yea. I did something wrong. I dirty flashed. I know it was wrong, but I live on the edge. (Sometimes). There is. Nothing wrong with the ROM. IRT Blasphemy, the kernel on works on the 4.2 Roms and some 4.3 Roms.

I believe this is a stock kernel with some tweaks. Nothing like Extreme.

CM will not accept that commit due to it not adhering to stock values and a possible liability source in the life of your device.

Is that all that is different about the extreme kernel that makes it different from stock? Because the stock kernel doesn't really like my phone for some reason...it's one of the main reasons that I use vanir because of extremekernelV2. There has to be more differences than just quick charging. Do we know who has done the work of the second version of extreme? Somehow get a flashable zip? I dunno...

@mtb3000gt posted the version 1 of the kernel. All the ROMs that run that kernel are on version 2. This is what the OP say:

-The Boot animation has the "D" cut off as well as part of the "N".
-On the welcome screen, The arrow is partly covered by the emergency call.
-If you don't touch the phone, after a few seconds, the "About" page shows up with SuperSU asking for permission to be granted to settings.
-Under Dirty Tweaks/Init. Tweaks, if you select super tweaks, the phone lags.
-86MB free in System
-Change the lock handle is cool. I have not seen tha mod befoe on AOSP.
-A cool feature is the addition of the weather in the status bar. It has a TW look as does the phone. As I try out things, this ROM seems to merge bot AOSP and TW. It only shows up on the pulldown.
-Unable to disable the hardware buttons and lights.
All in all still a slim (101 apps including mine) and Decent ROM. After adjusting the dpi, the bootanimation is still the same.
-It would be nice to know a little more about the Init.d tweaks.

Hi,
I saw you are handling most of the ROMs for Z1 Compact. I think, in my opinion, that all would be interested in Resurrection Remix ROM.
Can you please have in mind creating a new release of it?

I'm interested in it too, though the project is dead until the release of Android Lolipop (as the project dev said) which gonna be on 3 Nov
which means the project should be back to life in less than two weeks (lets hope so at least :angel

I´ve tested it, it´s very nice rom, big problem with stock is all bloatware,custom roms are overloaded with settings of all kind. Dark CM has only the best, like it. Only problem for me is how to freeze the built in performance controller, i prefer faux or trickster
the rom works fine! no issues! for me the best rom for the Z1C (phone from my grilfriend)

I just picked up the phone this weekend. Wonderful ROM.
I'm having a FORCE CLOSE on the menu button (square) with the newest release.
I'm also having issues with the camera button on the phone, quickly turning on the screen to display the camera with a pin enabled.
Otherwise, terrific work!
