[Guide How-to] Double Tab Launch on Home Button Update for MM 6.0.1 - Note Edge Themes and Apps

Since the old settings.db does not exist on MM you can change those values with a terminal emulator or using ADB, i prefere ADB.
(in short)
write adb shell -> enter
write su -> enter
write settings put system double_tab_launch 1 -> enter
write settings put system double_tab_launch_component com.sec.android.app.camera/com.sec.android.app.camera.Camera -> enter
Thanks to @Albe95, this mod also works on the Note Edge 5.1.1 OH2/OJ4
1. Install and run SQLite Editor 2.1.1
2. Find Settings Storage (it's a different name for every language) / (data/data/com.android.providers.settings/databases/settings.db)
3. Tap on system
4. Tap on search icon and write "double". You'll find these voices:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
5a. If "double_tab_launch" has a value of 0 set it to1
5b. Change the value of "double_tab_launch_component" with the one of the app you want
6. Let take for example that we want Whatsapp we need to replace with
Code:
[I]com.whatsapp/com.whatsapp.Main[/I]
7. Save and make a reboot
In our case we don't have "double_tab_launch_component", so just create a new entry
f.e. i have
Code:
[I]com.sec.android.app.camera/com.sec.android.app.camera.Camera[/I]

Thanks bro.

I tried above but nothing happen when I double tap the home button.

Update for MM in OP

I'm on stock rooted 5.1.1 on my SM-N915FY but couldn't find the entry in my settings.db
Did I miss something or just used a bad SQL editor?
Maybe someone can recommend on with a link to Google play,because there are so many and don't wanna try them all.
I really prefer this way, instead of using an app to change double tab behavior of my home button.

Finally seen the changelog. Added in OP.

Power and logout options from Win+X menu

If you use Windows 8, you may miss the options in the Start menu such as shut down, restart, logout, etc. Well, my program brings them back! Once installed, you can click in the bottom left corner of the screen (or use the Win+X keyboard combination), then select Shut down from the menu. This brings up a program with the following options:
Shut down
Sleep
Restart
Sign out
Switch user
Lock
{

"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Just download it from the link below, extract it to wherever, then run Setup.exe
I have tested it, and I've had a friend test it, and it works. If it doesn't work for you, please tell me, and I will try to help out as best as I can.
UPDATE: Since uploading this, I've tested it on another PC, and the shortcut isn't being created. I am looking into this, but in the meantime, you can install my program, then use WinAero's Win-X Menu Editor to add a shortcut to the menu. You can download the Win-X Menu Editor from here: http://winaero.com/download.php?view.21
Could you please provide some more info on how this works? Hacking the Win+X menu, that's awesome... but please don't just give us an opaque binary that I'm going to have to decompile before I can be sure it won't mess something up (on a system that I can't afford to use as a guinea pig). Either provide some info on how the hack works (as simple as "it modifies registry key [foo]), or the source code, please!

The power options part is just a program I put together in Visual Studio, it's just a form with some buttons. The other program, which puts the shortcut to the power options in the Win+X menu, is something I found in an article on Cnet about customizing Windows 8. No registry entries are modified, it just adds a shortcut to the folder C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WinX. There's nothing to worry about.
Cool, thanks for the info! That's awesome.
I've stopped working on this as I no longer have any use for it (I'm now using Stardock's Start8). I am still happy to answer any questions and may provide the original files if requested.

[Q] Please help to remove menu on Galaxy Note 2 SHV-E250S

I bought a Galaxy Note 2 (i605 Verizon) but by mistake I got a Korea version SHV-E250S instead. I do like it though but it has a black menu always appears on the home screens as shows in the picture and I could not find a way to remove that menu even I tried all of the Setting and I do believe there must be a way to do so. Does anyone have an idea?

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, if you go to settings and hit build number about 5 consecutive times, you will enable developer options, which will show up in the settings list, check it out.

That's not what he's looking for.
There's instructions here on the forum some where. Can't remember where. You have to edit a system file or something to enable it. Try a search
Edit: there's also an app.

Yes, please use "Phone INFO ★Samsung★" then search your secret code. You will see 0808 on the list, just press it then you will see the menu pop out.
