XT 1521

Yes. It will fit. All the Moto E 2nd gen are the same on the outside. XT1521, XT1506, XT1527, XT1511 , XT1505, XT1524..
Don't worry about overheating. The Moto E will alert you if it gets too hot. It will shut down automatically until it cools off. It probably will not happen anyway.

If you mean selling your GNex and exchange for a Moto G, then as someone who loves custom ROMs, my current answer is a big NO. Look how the HTC One gets plenty of support and development while HTC One Mini has nothing until recently. Now look at Moto X, it doesn't even have CM yet. As a mini sibling of Moto X, G is only expected to be worse supported. And G doesn't necessary run faster than a custom ROM'd GNex.
Seriously, isn't Moto G cheap enough so that you don't have to sell your GNex to buy it?
Personal opinion - feel free to comment.

Go for it
I'll hopefully doing the same...
GNEX isnt for me anymore.

Moto G 2nd Gen support the quick charging?

I understand that it has the correct chipset inside the phone but does anyone know if this phone is supported by the quick charging? I sold my wife on the technology but now I have no idea if it will actually work?

Did I see 'I sold my wife' or 'I scold my wife' BTW No offense I wonder y no one noticed it
Fast Charging
Charging of a device depends on the current passed to charge it at a constant voltage.
To quickly charge your phone you may buy a charger which has a high output current.
But also remember that it may also damage your device
Snapdragon 400 SOC does support it but you need other hardware for Voltage regulation stuff which the Moto G doesn't have.
So, No it doesn't actually support QuickCharge.

lG G4 slower than moto x first generation

Hello, i bought the LG G4 2 months ago, and I was really happy, I had the moto X 1 generation for 2 years, yesterday I use it to delete something to pass it to my mom, I noticed the moto x, faster in every single aspect (obviously no camera or heavy games) the normal use of the phone like, take it to check a mail, write notes, calendar, messaging, the launcher is faster in the moto x, changing between app is faster in the moto x, scrolling in chrome is faster in the moto x...
I have stock roms in both phones, same version. 5.1 not root or any kind of mod, no developers options, the animation speed is 1x in both phones...
The point of this post is ask, why if the moto x is an older phone with less specifications it is faster, and how can I make my LG G4 (h815p) faster like my old phone, now this think is making me crazy, why why why... >.<
If there is a problem with my English or you don't understand something ask me, English is not my native language.
Thank for the help.
I don't want to go back to the moto x, but I am really taking it in consideration...

Sadly I can't unlock the bootloader of my model :/ and I can only use stock Roms cuz I pay an insurance for hardware and software for full hardware replacement.

You can use LGUP to upgrade to MM and test if it feels better. Any time you need to go to the repair, you can use it again to downgrade and they will never know what you did.

yeah exactly @bathcrow
MM is totally stock dude .. And the same rom will be available for all devices via ota and lg bridge..
LGup does not require unlocked bootloader neither root

i will try with lgup i didnt know that this tool didnt need to have bootloeader unlocked.
to make sure this thread works for something, after using LGUP and installing Marshmallow on my lg g4 and using it for a whole day i can say that the phone is faster than before it was a really smooth boost, swithing beteewn apps is faster, its just a tap and is open, no more lag scrolling in chrome, everything is better, the only thing i noticed maybe cuz the heavy use is that the phone was hotter than before, i will check this tomorrow.
I had a moto x 2nd gen before I got my g4. The g4 is slower in almost every aspect. I even did a side by side comparison when I first got the G4. The processor that was in the moto x 2014 seems to be superior to the 808 in the G4. Just look at Andantechs reviews of the 808 and 810. They seem to think that they are problematic and that the previous generation 805 runs much better without heat, throttling or gpu issues. It also doesn't help that the g4 has a very heavy skin on top of Android. I may go to the moto Nexus 6 myself, not sure looking at alternatives to the g4 myself.
I am sure that rooting and changing the governor may help too, but I think LGs software couple with a junky processor make this g4 slow at times.
See the following link, scroll to the bottom where it compares the frequencies of phones where the paragraph starts "Looking at the frequency..". It will give you a breakdown on how the 808 works terribly in g4, flex and nexus 5x.

Need advice. Repair my Z1c's broken display or go for the Moto E 2nd Gen LTE?

Hi guys,
should I repair my broken display (I would do it myself so the cost will be way lower than buying a new phone) or should I buy the Moto E 2nd Gen LTE? I ask because I want to know if I should go with the new AMRv8 to have the (claimed) benefits of the new SoC and Marshmallow or if I'd still benefit from Marshmallow's new features like better battery life etc with the old AMRv7 and a 32-bit CPU.
I know the Z1c will probably never get an official Marshmallow update. I'd just use a custom ROM.
If I should go with the repair, is there any way to be certain I purchased a genuine Sorry display (no matter what the seller claims it to be)?
Last summer I broke my Z1c display, and I picked Chinese fake one. It was 25€ posted. The display is not genuine, and even had one dead pixel out of the box (very hard to find it, not seen when you use the phone). It works well, and I'm 100% satisfied.
The Snapdragon 410 will never be in the same league with the 800 performance wise. You're also trading 2 GB of RAM for 1 GB, 20 MP for 5 MP and 4K recording for 720p. You see the pattern?
If you want the Moto E as a second phone, yes sure that is OK, but swaping the Z1C for that... never!

Yes, you are totally right. I am very well aware of that. That's why I'm still uncertain
I just received an answer to my other question and it states that the Moto E will never run on 64-bit because of the RAM size. Wouldn't make sense.
But I'm still wondering if it is not better to have an ARMv8 phone instead of ARMv7 because of features like better battery management and therefore longer battery life etc. Or will I experience these features with ARMv7 running Marshmallow as well?
If you're not interested in a phone that has all the above I wrote, sure, the Moto E does have a better battery life looking at the review on gsmarena but not by much (browsing battery life is same). I really don't know why you would want to get the Moto E though. Just the newer Android experience and a bit more battery wouldn't be a decisive factor for me considering all the downsides.

Well, that's why I'm asking
If the new features aren't all that better I'll stick with my Z1c
Well that's your decision to make. Balance the pros and cons and decide what you want.
I already gave you my opinion on the matter. As I said before I don't see any big pros for the Moto but that's just my opinion. Don't think I can help you any more. The rest is up to you. :fingers-crossed:
I have used both devices. The Z1 Compact is simply on another level...Much better in everything (including better screen, camera,CPU,GPU,build quality) and it's waterproof.
Why a low-spec Moto E? Why not a Z3C or Z5C?
Are you stupid? When you'll go to Moto G from z1c u'll be shocked. Moto G is a low spec smartphone and may be laggy. But z1c is still one of the best phones, you know he was released in 2014 and in this year is very popular high-end phone.

My problem was that I didn't know if maybe the feature of ARM8 outrank the ones in ARM7. As it appears they don't.
I'll stick with my Z1c then. Thanks

Well, why don't we think about this for a second? Why would anybody go for a low-spec Moto instead of Z3c or Z5c?
Could it be because he can't afford a Z3c or Z5c? Hm?

I understand you. And would be kinda though decision, on one hand, chinese digitizers and displays are often big degradation, bad display quality, random phantom touches and so on, on other hand, you would have new phone but much less capable. Personaly, I would maybe repair Z1c and sold it, and bought myself something different.
Anyway, good luck with decision, whatever you choose.

Thanks. I chose to give it a chance and bought a spare part. Turned out it was an AUO manufactured part instead the JDI one shown in the pictures although I specifically asked about exactly this beforehand. But well, they agreed to a partial refund. It is not Sony branded since the touch screen is OEM, same quality just not Sony branded. Cost me about 38 € and I can't see any difference to the original display at all. I'm pretty satisfied

I have the G4 play but just got the g6 and while there's root not a single one of us knows how to clean it up and make custom ROMs ?? I kinda feel bad for em so I'm just curious if anyone over here on the g4 play side wants to help lol prolly goes against the rules on here but I don't feel like I'm asking any Devs to solely work on a rom. Just curious who has one and has messed around with it lol

So what about the battery!?
A cheap 3000 mah for an octacore proc!?
Lol when i had my Fire 5 just with a quad core proc and just 2500 mah was equivalently sufficient.
And all those complaints regarding a noisy cam in the night and battery backup!
Lol G6 Play would stomp in the major factor, except that G6 has a 400+ ppi dpi [not a concern for me] and an octa core [i have a mac, so i dont need to do **** on a droid] XD
Just another Moto g4 plus. XD

I got the xt1922-7 boost mobile variant also with root and twrp and magisk working good. I don't technically own a computer or laptop though I used a friend's computer to do all that otherwise I would get into making a rom also lol. Magisk hide works with Pokemon go so I know it all works and I got a permissive switch module working to. it's just little rough for newer users to root still and I feel bad I suppose cause I notice some people messing it up or it not working right for them. I wish I had a computer otherwise I'd be able to help contribute more. ?
What I also find annoying is that we have 64 bit CPU but the stock os is 32 bit
