tried to factory reset lg g pad while using twrp v2.8.6.0 system partition wont mount - G Pad 8.3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

so i was gonna try to sell my lg g pad 8.3 and so i went to factory reset it through the settings menu. the thing booted to twrp and so i picked factory reset. when i went to boot up after, it said "Secure booting Error! Cause: Device UnLock!, so Boot Success!!" and then boots to twrp. when i try to install a custom rom it says this: see attatched pic
and then just says the secure booting error message and just boots into recovery... any help with fixing this would be greatly appreciated. ps: oh and for some reason it will reboot randomly when performing various operations in recovery...
oh and now it keeps resetting itself. either after a random amount of time, and or while performing various operations of recovery mode.

Try flashing a KDZ with LG Flash Tool 2014 to start back fresh. It'll wipe your internal storage too, so be aware.

I had this problem too, an old 20a kdz saved my life.

G Pad 8.3 Stuck in Boot Loop

Help!!!
My LG G Pad 8.3 V500 is stuck in a boot loop.
I do not have any custom roms loaded on the tablet, the tablet was rooted a week ago and removed due to not needing root.
I am not able to get into recovery mode. I can get the unit into download mode if I press the vol up and down and insert the USB cable. I have tried to connect to LG Mobile Support Tool but no update and does not fix anything.
All the unit does is goes around in a boot loop. I can charge it and turn it off.
Did you do anything before it went into the bootloop that you think might have caused this and are you running a custom recovery? You might try doing a factory reset which will wipe all your data but might help.
I do not have any custom recovery on the tablet. I restarted the tablet before it started into the boot loop. It is running factory software and nothing modified.
I am not able to do a factory restore.

TWRP starts to flash but can't complete

My D855 LG G3 won't flash. I rooted and installed cm13 back in January.
Last month it has been playing up and now shut down completely in a bootloop. Tried wiping the rom clean and reinstalling. Except now twrp starts the flashing process before it boots into the LG boot screen where it stops.
I can't begin to flaah recovery because it does the same thing. Boots before it has a chance to start flashing.
So I now have a device with no OS and no way of flashing an OS onto it.
Can someone help. Please because I'm not skilled enough to know how to fix this

V521 bricked

So far, I decided since my tablet was running slower than it did when I first got it, to reset it. And since I was doing that, might as well unlock the bootloader.
Well, I unlocked the device, attempted to install TWRP, then got the remote failed error, unknown command. Apparently you have to install it via flashify or whatever. Anyhow...
I rebooted the device, but now, all it does is go into recovery, shows the android robot on its side for a split second, then starts flashing white then black on the screen. The only way to stop it is to pull off the battery connector.
The LG mobile tool can see it in download mode, send it the latest kdz image or whatever, works, but still goes back to the same error - boots to recovery then hangs.
Is there a way to fix this? Trying to get it to boot a recovery img didn't work. Erasing all data seemed to have done nothing.
Did you ever unbrick it...?

Razer Phone stuck in bootloop

I tried to update to the latest update to the Razer Phone and was able to install it successfully, but when I went to install Magisk on the new update, it caused the Wifi to stop working. For that reason, I tried to restore my old TWRP backup I made prior to updating which everything was working before updating. I wiped cache, dalvik, data and system and restored my old backup. Now when I try to boot, it gets stuck at the Razer logo and doesn't get past that. I also tried wiping data and restoring the system image only to no avail and it didn't do anything.
Have you tried booting to TWRP and booting The other [email protected]
How long did you wait on the Razer logo.. When I reset my phone after relocking it.. It took 10+min for first boot. I was scared it wasn't gonna work but I just left it alone and it eventually booted itself up

Thanks. I'll try that and see if it works. But I let it sit for 5 or so minutes.
Edit: I'll go ahead and add it was stuck at the Razer logo. It never got to the actual boot animation.
Edit 2: I let it sit for 20+ minutes and it wouldn't boot or get past the Razer logo.

Yes I've tried switching slots and it didn't work.
Any luck with the stuck at logo screen? I followed instructions from Razer and fkashall and now it won't boot to recovery download or system . It just hangs at the logo screen for better part of 2 hours now so it's not a waiting game .. any luck in fixing yours?
hi there, same here after flashing google pixel experience on razer phone1. seems to be a general problem for many users. Any hints?
Best regards
Michael
I have the same problem, but I wasn't updating or installed any new app. I was just ordering food from an app and then all of a sudden my phone restared and got stuck in a bootloop.
I reflashed the stock rom, over and over, slot a or slot b, hoping that would fix it somehow... it's just stuck there now. I could go into download mode and recovery mode. but, it's only until there.
now it's bootloop until it gets into download mode...

I could fix it. After flashing (even Android Pi) you have to do a factory reset.
IMPORTANT: THE FACTORY RESET IN TWRP DOES NOT WORK. So you have to flash the boot-sector in your system partition with the stock boot.img and reset to STOCK RECOVERY by typing "fastboot reboot" and pressing the vol-up button. Once in stock recovery, do a factory reset and return to bootloader. Now you can flash the boot.partition with twrp boot.img, install in recovery the stock boot.img, install the twrp-installer.zip and reboot to system. The bootlogo will not stuck anymore.
I hope, I could help you. Do not forget to backup before trying.

LG D855 stuck in boot loop, even after factory reset

Hello,
I have a LG G3 D855 with unlocked bootloader and TWRP 3.0.2-0 and it had a relatively recent build of the official LineageOS ROM.
Everything was running fine, until suddenly, during a phone call, it shut down, and since then, each time I try to turn on the device, the LG logo appears for 20 seconds, disappears for 2 seconds, and then appears again, over and over again. I can still access the recovery thou.
So I have tried wiping everything, including system, data, and caches, repairing file systems, reinstalling the newest version of lineageOS, (my SD card slot doesn't work so i had to push the ROM file to the data partition using adb and installing it from there). I also tried using a different battery, and the same problem persists.
I am kinda hopeless now so I would appreciate any help I can get.
Many thanks.
I have the exact same problem. It started when I upgraded to latest TWRP. Flashing back to the normal TWRP didn't solve the problem and the boot looping is persistent now and TWRP is inaccessible.
I flashed to stock rom using LG flash tool 2014 and no matter what I try it still loops indefinitely with the new OS installed.
