[ROM] [B386] Twisted Mate 8 **UPDATE 11/25/16** - Mate 8 Android Development

TWISTED MATE 8
If you're like a lot of Nexus users out there and you like your ROM to look and feel like the Nexus series of phones then this ROM is for you. Included and integrated are a ton of Google Apps. This is always based off of the latest stock ROM. It's fast and stable. My goal is to remove as many Huawei apps as I can while still making everything work properly. Requests are welcome but please make them reasonable. Changelogs are in post #2.
Disclaimer:
I am not responsible for anything that may happen to your phone as a result of installing any custom roms. You are doing so at your own risk and take full responsibility upon yourself. If you have issues please try and come up with your own solution before you post them and I will do my best to get back to you. If any others have any solutions, please feel free to help as well. There are some issues you may have that no one else has. Remember that you decided to flash the ROM and if something no longer works the way you want it to please try and come up with a solution on your own before posting. There is a Forum Search on the left side of the Mate 8 homepage, please use it. Remember, I do this in my spare time and sometimes life gets overwhelming and I may not be able to help right away. Please hit the thumbs up button if you like what I've done.
**YOU MUST HAVE EITHER DONE THE OTA TO B3xx OR HIGHER OR MANUALLY UPDATED TO B3xx OR HIGHER VIA THE DLOAD METHOD BEFORE FLASHING THIS ROM. YOU ALSO NEED TO BE ON TWRP 3.0.2 FOR EMUI 4.1 BEFORE YOU FLASH ANY B3xx OR HIGHER CUSTOM ROM'S. IF YOU HAVEN'T DONE THIS PLEASE DO SO. IF YOU DON'T AND ENCOUNTER ANY WEIRD BUGS I CANNOT HELP YOU**

Helpful Hints:
-If you're having trouble hitting next after the language screen, remove the HWStartupGuide.apk from the ROM, then dirty flash it.
-Download the removed apps, and remove the apps from the zip you don't want to restore then flash the zip to restore any apps that I removed that you may need or want.
-On first boot you may see some Chinese writing in the lockscreen and the status bar. Go to settings--->K-Settings--->Notification settings and uncheck Show statusbar lunar then go into Lockscreen settings and uncheck Lunar calendar and Desktop weather lunar.
-Flash the Huawei Launcher & Weather zip if you want to use the stock Huawei Launcher with Weather Widget instead of Google Now Launcher.

awesommeeeeeee, first custom(ized) rom for the mate 8, wooohoooo! thanks a lot buddy
questions: quick reboot is basically just soft reboot, right? also, would dpi at 400 be equivalent to the "small" display option in the huawei settings?
Sent from my Huawei Mate 8 NXT-AL10 using Tapatalk

Does this rom fix the notifications issues? Such as whatsapp push notifications

well at this point in time its still a bit early to flash this rom as a daily driver, check out the bug list but already subscribed this thread for future developments

I had some root problems with kingroot, ended up flashing SuperSU zip 2.52 and it fixed the problem for me.

Is it only me, or the download link is not clickable?

The ROM is being worked on I'll post the link tonight for those who wanna flash. It's a start.

Yeah it's a soft boot menu. 400 dpi would probably be small but you can always change it in the build.prop.

Move the apps you want from data/app to system/app. That fixes the notifications for me. The same bugs as in stock will carry over to Simply Google until Huawei fixes them.

If you flash any SuperSU with this it won't boot. I'm having a hard time getting things ironed out in Marshmallow. Things are a little different than Lollipop as far as scripts kernels etc....

You can download it, I posted the link in the OP.

so working with l29 ?
no root in rom?

I'm speaking from experience, I just flashed this ROM along with SuperSU and it booted just fine the first time. As much as I would love to stay on the ROM, themes don't apply

Awesome. I don't mind the Huawei GUI, but would prefer stock Android. Would it be possible to post a screen shot? Would it be likely to support OTA updates? I'm still on the Chinese ROM and wasn't going to change until saw some benefit.

it will definitely not support ota updates...

So you installed the rom and flashed SuperSU right after you installed? The themes don't do much without the stock Launcher. I made this to be quite a bit independent of the Huawei apps.

No you won't get stock ota updates on most custom roms but it's easy to flash back to stock. Just backup your stock rom before you flash so you can always go back to complete stock.

[MOD][GApps] Modded by LaboDJ v2.1 // SuperSLIM v2.1

Hi everybody,
I made a very light & clean modded GApps package for Android 4.2.x, for people who don't like some google crap or with low /system space.
I used many GApps packages I found on XDA to make this one that fits perfectly for me and works with fishears Rom I use.
49MB LaboDJ Normal GApps
22MB LaboDJ Slim GApps
Vs. 123Mb original One
Which base I used?
It contains 20130301 Base mixed to the latest apps I found
Mods:
- Google Play Store 3.10.14 (mods: noupdate norestrictions nosig-aligned, multi dpi, no more ugly smiley icon)
- Google Maps v6.14.1 (mods: full accelerated version, Samsung TTS voice navigation support + world navigation)
- YouTube v4.3.9 (Black Theme, HD Playback, Screen-off Playback)
Removed from GApps:
- PicoTTS
- Face Unlock (+ lib libfilterpack_facedetect.so)
- News & Weather
- Google Talk (+ libs libgtalk_jni.so, libgtalk_stabilize.so)
- Google TalkBack
- Google Sound Search
- Quick Search Box
- Voice Search (+ usr folder)
- TTS Folder (use Google TTS instead)
- Photoshphere (doesn't work with i9000)
Reworked Scripts:
- Removed install-optional.sh
- Added remove-folders.sh (it removes some folder from your system... read below)
- Reworked updater-script to make it work (it also remove many apk from your system... read below)
- Reworked 70-gapps.sh adapting it to the changes
The Package will also remove some apps & folders from your system automatically:
- /system/media/video (sample videos?)
- /system/tts (Use google tts instead, trust me it's better)
- Apollo (use Google play music from market instead)
- Basic Dreams
- Calendar (google calendar is better, already in Gapps)
- CMFileManager (I prefer root explorer from market)
- CMFileManagerThemes
- CMUpdater (If are u using CM ROMs I think it's better CyanDelta Updater from Market)
- DSPManager (I think Voodoo sound is better, from market)
- Exchange2 (Never used it)
- Galaxy 4 (Live wallpaper)
- HoloSpiralWallpaper (Live wallpaper)
- HTMLViewer (Never used it)
- LiveWallpapers (I don't use them)
- LiveWallpapersPicker (See above)
- MagicSmokeWallpapers (Junk)
- NoiseField (Junk)
- PhaseBeam (Junk)
- PhotoTable
- PicoTts
- QuickSearchBox (Trebuchet has already its own bar)
- VideoEditor.apk (Slow & useless)
- /system/lib/libvideoeditorplayer.so
- /system/lib/libvideoeditor_core.so
- /system/lib/libvideoeditor_jni.so
- /system/lib/libvideoeditor_osal.so
- /system/lib/libvideoeditor_videofilters.so
- /system/usr/srec
- /system/vendor/pittpatt
...
SuperSLIM version changes from Normal version:
- 21.7MB
- Updated Scripts to make them work
- Removed apps & replacements:
CalendarGoogle -> Default Calendar from your ROM instead
Gmail2 -> Classic Email from you ROM instead or Gmail .zip attached
GoogleNow -> Download from market if you need it
GoogleTTS -> If you need it there is a .zip attached
Maps -> Download from market or flash modded .zip attached if you need it.
StreetView -> Download from market if you need it.
YouTube -> Download from market or flash modded .zip attached if you need it.
- I also made modular packages named with ss_, if you use SuperSlim Version use ss_ packages otherwise something will go wrong (you can use normal GoogleTalk package).
If you use Normal vesion DON'T use ss_ packages!
If you use SuperSlim Version please first reflash your ROM .zip
If you need things such:
live wallpapers, video editor, themes, google news & weather, talk, voice search... I'll make sigle packages to add them, making GApps Modular
FIRST TIME INSTRUCTIONS:
- update your rom if you need to
- install this package
UPGRADING ROM AND WANT TO LEAVE MY GAPPS (and addon) UNTOUCHED?
- update your rom
- install Remove_Junk.zip
IF YOU NEED APPS I REMOVED
- I attached some of them at the end of the post
- flash them in recovery
- if you need to remove .zip you added manually just flash Remove_Added.zip
EG: you flash my Gapps, you flash Google_Talk.zip, you want to remove Gtalk? Just Flash Remove_Added.zip, it will remove only my "modular" package you added
IF YOU WANT TO GO BACK TO NORMAL GAPPS
- Update your ROM (or install the same zip you have)
- install classic GApps
- clear cache & Dalvik cache
Some Apps are modded so if you update them you'll lose mods
EG: Don't update Google Maps if you don't want to lose the mods.
:good:New MODULAR Installer OUT! It contains all default apps!
It installs GApps core files automatically, then you can choose which apps to ADD and which to REMOVE.
VERY EASY!
Modular GApps Thread HERE:good:
I don't take any responsibility for improper use, or for damage, I'm currently using them on Galaxy S i9000 powered by Fishears ROM.
I tested them on CM10.1 and work well.
It should works on every device with android 4.2.x
Anyway Use @ your own risk.

Yes, it should work, anyway there are some problems:
If you flash these you'll lose DSPManager (audio driver from cyanogenmod team)
I replaced it with Voodoo sound (that works good with i9000)
If you don't use dspmanager so you shouldn't have any problem.
If you are on stock rom and you haven't a .zip containing your actual rom it wold be boring replace all system apps to revert back to "normal" state.
(Maybe a simply nandroid backup of /system folder only should do the trick, I'm pretty sure)
Nothing else.
Try and let me know!

I agree with nearly all of your decisions.
Not removing E-Mail and theme chooser would be nice.
Think i can modify the script myself, will have a look.
But i think it's easier to provide addon packages for people wanting stuff like gtalk...

Yep, I agree with you, but I currently don't know how to make a .zip for only an app.
The only problem is that I have to insert a line in system/addon.d/70-gapps.sh with the path of apk and libs.
This is the file that backup and restore your gapps when you upgrade a rom.
If you can help me this way, making modular zip, we can call these first modular gapps.
EDIT: Idea!
I don't know if I add all possible GApps in 70-gapps.sh it would return error when upgrading rom or not... If not I'll make a new .zip with full 70-gapps, and many little .zip for single apps.

So a restructured gapps is dev related these days?
You even spammed this in cm10.1 thread. Nice going. That'll earn you respect lol

I think these GApps are very useful. Especially with an old smartphone like Galaxy S.
Many apks I removed eat a lot of resources/space/batteries.
And many users haven't time/knowledge to make this mods.
Think before you write, if I did this is not for the glory but to help so many people who simply have my own needs
Maybe wrong section, yes... but keep calm, I didn't killed anyone

I agree - I'd like the theme chooser back. Is there any easy way like installing via playstore? But this is really great! I love it to 99%.

- GMSCore updated and working properly
- 3minit Battery Mod updated to version 2

- Call recording isn't working yet. I need to look back into it

- Status bar icons and text now Maximum brightness thanks tdunham
- MMS issues fixed
- SystemUI.apk will still force close once on initial boot, ignore it it seems to stop after that first time
TMS3KK 2.3.1 8-19-14
-582 mb
-I highly suggest the full 2.3.1 with a clean flash (wipe system, data, dalvik and cache). Dirty flash worked for me also but if you experience issues with google apps do a full wipe.
-Google App issues fixed
-Auto update disabled TBO Black Play Store (Thanks djdarkknight96)
-Keyguard.apk and SecSettings.apk updated to add Quick Unlock thanks tdunham, loserskater and enewman17
-Stock theme revert can be flashed just to make quick unlock work

TMS3KK 2.3 8-18-14:

Updated to s3rx 4.0 8/12 release base. Thank you @enewman17
Updated to latest TBO Youtube and added TBO Pandora Thanks Train88 and Team Blackout
Updated Google Search and Playstore (playstore is black permanently and search can't be themed)

Replaced Light effect with Lightning (White in dark theme and blue in stock) Thanks kr3g3r
Added a few android l notifications/ringtones/alarms and a few others that I use
This changelog may look small but you'll notice a difference
Bugs I've come across:
- SystemUI.apk may force close on initial boot, ignore it it seems to stop after that first time.
- NFC Polling under Extra Settings menu doesn't work yet.
- Google Play store may give you some trouble. If it does open titanium backup and wipe data for all the google apps. It could of only been doing this to me because I hadn't updated it to 4.9.13 yet. Fixed in 2.3.1
- In camera if you select 720p resolution you will get a force close.
- Message Blocking doesn't work with AOSPMms
- If wifi isn't working turn off smart network switch under wifi settings and reboot. This one is weird and smart network switch can be enabled again and doesn't cause this again... Making it tougher for me to figure out why it does it.
2.2
- Play Store updated. Thanks Gunthermic for the base and djdarkknight96 for yours as well. I like the mix of them a lot

- ATT didn't have any big difference in their settings except for wifi tethering that doesn't work.
- Phone and Contacts I didn't bother looking at what changed but I'll swap all of these out soon.
- The animated pulldowns can be customized by you and replaced easily, I will link or post a guide for this. Will also find a way to easily disable it.
- OGBatteryMod will get smaller also so start telling me which ones you guys like or want added because I'm redoing a lot of these to be white and tw blue, the thing is we can have multiple apks for that too and I can add a smaller one to the release.
- Linkin Parks new album is great.
- Thank you enewman17 for this base and docholiday77 and CNexus for both doing all the work they did for a device they don't own.
- And sorry to all the people who got a brick flashing the new modem. We will help you get it working again!
==================================
Making a backup is suggested before installation.
1. Make sure you are on one of the 4.3 or 4.4 bootloader and modem packages found below. (They still work on the NE4 build). I have added a link to the 4.4 ones also.
2. Full Wipe (Wipe Data, System, Dalvik Cache and Cache. I also suggest an internal sd wipe after backing it up)
3. Flash the Rom.
4. First boot may take a few minutes. Be patient it could take up to 5 minutes to boot and settle in.
Do not mix and match 4.3 firmware (bootloaders/modem) with the new 4.4.2 ones. You will hard brick and I warned you. This works the same as any 4.3 or ND8port ROM with 4.3 firmware and it can use the new 4.4.2 ones also.

==================================
- Smart network switch still shows on first boot in the wifi connection. Haven't found the cause yet. DON'T USE IT, it causes issues.
- Wanam Xposed breaks auto brightness. disable the setting in wanam>themes>brightness slider settings.
- Wanam Clock and battery mods do not work.
- Wanam lock screen tweaks shouldn't be used.
- Clock will be dim on first boot till you enter the Extras menu then the color will appear.
- Modified Note 2 and Note 3 camera will FC only on 720p video recording.
- Please report any bugs. If at all possible please try and recreate the issues while running a logcat. The issue can be solved much faster then just telling me "this don't work".
- GPS Fix:
Enter the Samsung service mode by typing this code into the dial pad *#197328640#
Then go to Mainmenu>UMTS>Common>NV REBUILD>NV REBUILD> (Important: don't exit the menu yet!)
Wait 30+ sec
Long press power button and select "Restart / Reboot"
Now check your GPS from any software that may use GPS like "Maps" or "GPS Status"...
If this doesn't fix it use GPS Status and toolbox
If it still doesn't work right you may need to remove your battery cover and tighten the little screws on the back of your phone, This actually fixed mines issues.

I forgot that removing the s5 gallery caused issues with the wallpaper picker for picking custom wallpapers. Flash this (s5 Gallery) for now until I look into fixing this which may not be tonight. The only way to set them is still at the home screen from the menu. I will try and find a way around these bugs at some point.

- build.prop tweaks will mostly improve battery life, performance, responsiveness and various functions of the device. I will add them to the OP
- Emojis changed to IOS style thanks gonsa - http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2618523
- More debloating (563 mb)
- Allshare removed, if you need it it will be in myHUB
- Printer services files removed also will put these in myHUB
- Wallet and Email removed. Get Wallet off the play store and email can be found in myhub if you don't use gmail instead
- Facelock removed. If you use this for your lock screen I suggest using something more secure
- I'll work on posting a full debloated list at some point
- Popup Browser added. Thanks lemonboi5 for pointing this app out to me
- Rest of system sounds changed to AOSP thanks moonknightus for the few I was missing in the lockscreen
- bootanimation.zip support added and qmg bootanimation and shutdown animations removed. Thanks bilgerryan
- Disabled startup/shutdown sounds
- KT747 splash image changed to stock GS3 image
- Probably a few more things I forgot that I'll add upon release
- Titanium Backup, ES File Explorer and greenify added
- S5 Browser removed and added Now Browser instead
- Since flash works with Now Browser I added it back also
- Stock theme has also been updated with the new files since I made it (may not get to this right away but I'll post when its updated) All it won't include is the battery mod, pulldown mod and cluster fix. You can flash the existing zip over it until I get around to fixing it)
Beta2 6-2-14
- 4 way reboot mod added thanks to majdinj for the guide (Not working right yet flashable zip coming to fix it didn't want to wait on this to upload again and find it doesn't work again) Flashable Fix to remove this here
- Added a lot more hidden csc features and some fixes
- Set as and share via msg menu options added to gallery
- Useless Software Update menu pulled from settings
- Call button added to call log and contact list
- A lot more options added to messaging
- Still have an issue during initial setup with it not loading the wifi setup page. Again the fix is to let the screen timeout while its loading forever or set wifi up from the pulldown
- Launcher now has no issues. You can pick wallpaper from gallery again. This was due to me not having the s5 gallery in the rom
- Took out the blackout google calendar and put the ugly samsung one back for now. If sync doesn't work for it get Google Calendar off the play store
- Updated play store thanks dj from team black out
- Removed adobe flash player because it wasn't working. If anyone finds a version to work let me know. It may require not using adaway or finding what to whitelist in it
- Updated with default wallpaper mholloway gave me. Looks awesome thanks man!
- Added S5 Gallery
- Added my semi themed S5 Browser
- Added Paper Artist back hopefully to clear up some other issues
- Swapped the fonts with the S5 ones
- Added Loser Xposed Module for volume button music control. thanks loserskater
- Probably missing a few things but this build is a bit more bloated. Debloating more will come in time, right now we need to get stability first
Beta1 5-29-14
-Initial TW 4.4.2 KitKat Release. Thanks to Saranhai, Docholiday77 and CNexus for making this possible.
-Report all bugs you come across and remember this is a beta so a backup is your friend.
-BTW MyHub may not be updated with anything yet. I will get there in due time. I just included it so that its there for future releases.
-To set wallpapers for the lockscreen until I figure out why the launcher doesn't recognize the app just set it to your homescreen so you can pick it or just do it from settings>display.

Changelog
1.1.0 5-1-14
- Final 4.3 Version (KitKat will be here soon)
- SElinux set to permissive off boot thanks to enewman17
- I only edited the ATT Kernel for this so if you use the mk5 one you may still have to disable selinux from extra settings > seandroid. (checkmark doesn't go away just click it and reboot)
- Google Voice set to default double tap home voice search app thanks to loserskater
- Page buddy added back in just to let this be a fully stable final release, remove it and disable it in display settings if you don't want it
- ScreenTimeout and Lockscreen toggles added thanks to CNexus
- If you're upgrading and use the i747m cscfix grab it again to update your build.prop (so it says you're on the newest version in settings)
1.0.2 4-26-14- Google Play Services updated
- Missing Calendar Widget added back oops
- No need to update if the rom works fine. Nothing major here except for new users not having any issues with google play services. If you're already running the rom loading the play store should update it.
- For the next update I plan to figure out how to disable selinux off initial boot and the other annoying install steps but everything runs smoothly and you can easily take care of these little annoyances and enjoy the rom.
- Check the myHUB app, I will be keeping it updated with rebloating and modifications. It can also be used for simple fixes and ota updates which should help with keeping down the number of times you have to update.
1.0.1 (4-22-14)- Updater Script Fixed
- TeamBlackOut Updater fixed
- Black Playstore and GMScore added
- myHUB has been added (If you're on the i747m please redownload the cscfix zip in op)
When you download files from myHUB they can be found in sdcard/myHUB to flash. When you first open it choose a name (preferably your name on here) its for comments on the app. This will be a very useful feature.
1.0.0 (4-20-14)- Initial Release

Mods
Be warned that when already using 3minnit battery mod you will need to flash the correct 3minnit battery mod zip after flashing the theme you want before rebooting or you might run into some major errors. Before flashing between themes I recommend making a backup anyway especially if you are using a mod like 3minnit battery mod.
So for those of you already running the stock theme looking to update it you will want to be careful to flash the 3minnit battery mod afterward. I have those zips made to remove OGBatteryMod.apk which will probably cause major issues when flashing other themes with files pointing to OGBatteryMod instead of 3minnit.

Try TWRP 2.6.3.1: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47840637&postcount=758
Or Philz CWM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2335527
Not sure if the latest version of CWM works properly but I know people have problems with twrp 2.7 so I am leaving links to download the latest recoveries that I know work. You can flash these in recovery then reboot recovery and it should get rid of your status 7 errors.
^^ wow im glad it worked!! thanks.. I recently came from S3Rx rom but always wanna try whats new lol
It's working fine on my SGH-T999V with twrp 2.7.0 no error whatsoever and it's very snappy

Glad to see all the good feedback so far. I've been messing around with myHUB already and can't wait to put out an update with it but I want to squash some other bugs along with it. Heres what I have found that I am already working on.
TeamBlackOut Free (Which will let you download their great work and enjoy more apps that fit the theme) - Force closes. You can uninstall it and download it from their site in the Mods section of the OP for now.
SEAndroid (SElinux) is set to enforcing on install. I went over this in the install instructions and I plan to have this fixed as soon as I figure out whats causing it. I'll just include the other tedious tasks of disabling Page Buddy in Settings>Display and the Default Search App to this list of things that need fixed.
Updater script issues. I posted a fix and there shouldn't be any issues from doing it that weird way but I'd like to look into fixing it to work correctly
Google Play Services crashing - I need to update the version thats in the rom as well as some of the other google apps. Was thinking about using the TeamBlackOut ones. Loading the play store fixed this for me when it occurred though. I'd also like to find a way to disable the update coming up for some of these blacked out apps like the blacked out Youtube I have included with this ROM.
This is still a learning process to me and a hobby that I enjoy putting time into. Be sure to thank Enewman17 and Loserskater for all their hard work to make this possible. Them and Danvdh were my inspiration to learn how to do this and get this far and since all 3 of them have moved on to another main device I felt it was a fitting time to add another option.
If theres anything that I debloated that you'd like added back that I've missed post it here and I will post it for now then add it to myHUB for the next update.
4-22-14 Changelog
- Updater Script Fixed
- TeamBlackOut Updater fixed
- Black Playstore and GMScore added
- myHUB has been added (If you're on the i747m please redownload the cscfix zip in op)
When you download files from myHUB they can be found in sdcard/myHUB to flash. When you first open it choose a name (preferably your name on here) its for comments on the app. This will be a very useful feature.
I've got this uploading now and should have it posted in the next few hours. Tested and everything is working properly. The updater script doesn't malfunction and installs everything on the first flash as its supposed to do. The only bugs left now to fix are setting SElinux to permissive off the first install and the other default settings I've mentioned (Page Buddy and Default Voice Search App)
A dirty flash should be okay for those of you already on this rom but a full wipe is suggested.
Edit: Update in the op
Love the ROM, it's the fastest TW one I've used and the theme is gorgeous- I hate the default theme, especially in the settings menu. I'm running the 4-22 version, but play services still aren't working though.

Did you try just loading play store to make it update it? I'll see if I can get the newest version for the next update but that should get it working again.

Great job on this ROM! Tired of some things not working on KitKat for now so decided to give it a whirl. Everything I use seems to work and work well. ROM is snappy and fast for TW.
One question just as a preference, is there a way to get the provided calendar to create a widget for the lockscreen or do I have to download the Google Calendar to do that? I like my appts on the lockscreen...........reminds my old brain about what I'm supposed to do for the day.
Thanks for this. Looking forward to what more you can do with it.

Thank enewman17 for how fast and well the ROM works. The S3Rx base and his kernel tweaks have been my daily driver for the last 4 months. Some of the things I debloated from it will really save your battery life but him and loserskater are to thank for most of this ROM. This is just my spin on it.
I'll get the calendar widget up in a few minutes and I'll see if I can get a play services fix up too.
Edit: Calendar widget flashable zip is attached. For play services delete GmsCore.apk from system/app and put the attatched com.google.android.gms-2.apk in data/app. You may not even need to add that one and just delete the one out of system/app if you already have it but if you need to add that one in data/app then make sure to fix the permissions to r-w-r--r--

I'll have to look into it. I might just switch to using google calendar and make it match the theme. I've heard of the samsung one not working for sync in the past.

Welcome! If you found yourself looking for something like CleanROM based on the new 5.0.1 20G OTA, then you have come to the right place. This has been thoroughly tested by myself with no issues. Want stability you can trust? You have come to the right place. For best results, please follow the installation instructions below!
About:

Based on the new 20G KDZ from TMO
Features:
Deodexed
Rooted (SuperSU)
Init.d enabled
Busybox
Bloat Removed
Updated LG and Google apps in /System
External SD Card fix
Build.prop tweaks for performance
Init.d scripts to trim file system, SD card read ahead, and FPS
Insecure Boot.img
Screenshots!
What works:
Everything
What doesn't:
Nothing!
Credits:
@Chainfire for SuperSU
@MicroMod777 for stock debloated system.img and boot.img (Initial release. Version 2+ is the extracted LG KDZ)
@razz1 for increase FPS
@Morningstar for his Network Traffic Guide.
Installation:
Must have recovery installed (TWRP)
Do not wipe yet as the bootloader and modem flashable below looks for the phone build prop to verify variant
Install the 20G bootloader and modem if you haven't already (If you do not use this bootloader or have not done the full KDZ install of 20B/E/G, you will get a security error and the rom will not boot.)
Copy ROM to external SDcard
Reboot to Recovery
Wipe Data/Factory reset (I always do 3x for good measure)
Wipe Cache (Again, I always do 3x for good measure)
Wipe Dalvik Cache
DO NOT WIPE INTERNAL
Flash ROM
Reboot System
Profit!
A couple things to note:
If you use a different kernel, do not report issues until you verify issue with stock (included kernel).
I am not responsible if you brick your phone, but of course you would know that if you are flashing this.
Of course your warranty is already voided from rooting your phone.
If you would like to use this as a base, please include me in your credits and link to this thread.
I am in general a very busy person, so I like to rely on you and other XDA members to help eachother. That is what this is all about right? I will continue to update this as I feel necessary. With my flashing habit, that may be alot. Search before asking questions.
I built this ROM for my personal use and decided to share because of how well it works.
I am not a themer, so don't expect any fancy themes! If you would like to create a theme and share, please let me know and I will add it to the OP. This goes for any other MOD. I am happy to add things to the builds if they work well and you want to contribute.

You can get them from the stock rom. system/media/audio folder is what you would want to pull. You will also need to put the names of the ringtones/notification/alarms that you would like to use by default in the build.prop. You can find the correct spot by searching for the following lines:
Code:
ro.config.ringtone=CurveBall.ogg
ro.config.notification_sound=CyanMessage.ogg
ro.config.alarm_alert=CyanAlarm.ogg
Again, I make this rom for my personal use and cannot stand the stock music like ringtones, so that is why I made the switch. Just personal preference. If I ever get some free time, I will put together a flashable zip, but I have been in a hurry trying to get this out to share.
ok, so if I understand, I am sitting with 10m and running zonerom so I can flash this rom and it takes me to 10r? I don't do OTAs out of habit....
You are correct. I recommend clean flash coming from another custom ROM.

I'm in the process of downloading again for the 4th time because md5 wouldn't match the op.
It does however match the one located on AndroidFileHost
Just want to point out the link in OP points to the default D85110R.zip. I was able to look through your other files to find the SR_V1.zip.

What custom recovery do you use? I've flashed this ROM 3-4 times already without problems. And some users, too.
What are the "Big" differences from your modded rom from albe's ?

Not much of a big difference, maybe? But this is the full version (non-aroma) ROM, w/ Imperium Kernel. As for performance, I think this is much more stable compared to official v2.5 based on testimonies of some v2.5 users complaining about bugs they encounter using the official one. You can check OP for the full description.

Nice fixing mate but if you know about development then make your own rom not just doing some fixes on the others work and then you say To all Devs:
You're not allowed to take files from my ROM without my permissions.
(( it's NOT your rom ))
Good luck

FYI, I asked permission from the original developer. And saying "You're not allowed to take files from my ROM without my permissions." doesn't mean I own the ROM. I'm just sharing my own mod of the ROM. Cheers!
Well done mate!! Your build is running smoothly on my Sprint and T-Mobile S4 variants.
You have a big heart. Ignore all those who are speaking rudely to you. They have no idea the trouble you went through to bring this online.

Thank you, I may try your Epic rom eventually, have not even received my Mi Note 3 yet.
Please @MrRaines do correct the references to the Mi Mix, and the link to TWRP for the Mi Mix.
As to TWRP, there seems to be a general problem for several Xiaomi phones with "official" TWRP not working, or not working well.
Hi developer... I'd like to ask you something: I was using this phone with your previous realese of the rom, without any problem...after i've installed the update, i'm not able to find the face unlock option anymore...someone who knows where is the problem/solution?? thank you all in advice
yes face unlock is gone in this beta rom
Dolby atmos doesn't work
Hi, I installed yesterday this ROM and it feels so smooth, I really like AOSP notifications.
I'm having trouble when I try to equalise music, Dolby atmos app opens and is turned on but when I set a custom mode the sound is the same. How can I fix this problem?

Well, the problem only happened with Google Play Music, using Xiaomi's player Dolby atmos works fine. I decided to uninstall Dolby Atmos in order to keep using Audioeffect, which is the equalizer used by default and works perfect on Google Play Music.
Great news!! I have only a question: is It possible unroot del rom? How? Thanks.
Is it possible that you make the mi mix camera app mod available for this rom aswell? It was available on the Mi 6 version of your rom
there is not vibration while unlocking with a fingerprint can you make it please?
Hey guys, nice job, but no more updates in this rom?
Yeah , what about an update ? Eheh
Where is FACE UNLOCK?? Any update of the rom? Thanks guy
nice job, dude...
keep it going..
How can I change DPI? In ota settings i can't seen option and ro.sf.lcd_density didn't work too :/
does the dual camera portrait mode works?
By now this ROM is running really fast, no issues detected from me. An update could be great.
