IMEI is other than stiker. stiker says GT I9500, but framewer shows my mobile as M919 - T-Mobile Samsung Galaxy S 4

Main problem is my S4 give error "Not registered on network"
Some times call works. but after leaving 10 to 15 mints when I try to call it show error "Not registered on network"
I read many help pages saying that IMEI can be null or blocked. I checked IMEI by *#06#, Mobile is showing IMEI but other than back on striker. While using mobile is showing M919 model, inside T mobile account aaps but on back stiker under battery is is showing mobile as GT I9500.
I decided to master rest mobile but confused
1. If I reset mobile, will my mobile software go back to GT I9500 or it will remain M919?
2. IMEI will change by master reset or will be same?
3. Is it possible that after changing IMEI back to original, mobile stop work in my country?
My mobile is Korean
Kindly Advice.

Resetting it will not change the software. You need to flash original I9500 firmware.

Can flashing original I9500 framwre solve network problem
Can flashing original I9500 framwre solve network problem. It loose connection every time.
Network software say you have 23 % GSM signal. but on dialing number error comes "Network not registered"
Some time it doesnt gave error but call doest not send to dailed number or received from him.
Please advice how to solve that network problem?
Thanks

What is your baseband and build number in settings? When you get a not registered on network message it usually means the device is blocked by the carrier, which is odd in this case

It looks like the device Is M919 not GT-i9500
The device is not locked, otherwise it would ask for unlock code. I would either take it to your carrier and see if they can look into the problem and maybe they will have a solution, or you could also try to change the imei number, that may work because of the error message that you receive, which usually means the device is blocked from service, not locked. Changing the imei number may be illegal in your country and no methods for doing so will be discussed here

Thank you for reply Bro.
I found little solution
Bro this is not IMEI or block. see below and further advice
1.
Yesterday I changed rom From kitkat to FlexOS. and installed app "" Network Signal Info"
in this Rom I have choose network "2G", so when i lose connection, and i came to open area or out of room it automatic connect to GSM network. Kitkat was not auto connecting even if 2g only was selected. but FLex rom it good.
2.
Inside room network signal info app show signal strength less than -70 as "-80, -90, -100" "Signal % from 32 to 55" and ASU is from 12 to 18 then network loses on mobile, no send receive call. But when I go out of room signal goto green , -70 -60 -50. ASU go to 20 , 22, 24. then FlexOS it self connect. and i receive and send call.
Can it be antenna problem? or if i install app that tweak or boost signal so that either i tweak and make call on same -80, -90 signal strength or i make call on boosted signals by app.
Thank and please advice. I think i am very near to solution.

Boot into download mode to see what model # is shown on the screen.

[Q] no signal, can't select network, but there is mobile internet.

Hi.
Galaxy Nexus, 4.2.1, bot unlocked from amazon about 6 months ago.
On dec 2nd signal just went off. So no calls nor receiving can be done. While mobile internet is still ok.
Network is giffgaff, running through O2 - UK.
Taking this sim to other phone - works fine.
Support from giffgaff said that everything is perfect on their end.
Putting any sim in this phone, shows same issues - no signal, but there is mobile internet.
Checked status of IMEI, and it says in online services that phone is unblocked.
I have tried on/off airplane mode, restarting, taking battery off for a while, with sim in and out, as well did factory reset - still issue is here.
It is unrooted, just original rom.
Going to settings > mobile networks > network operators > I select any network and it says: "Can't connect to this network at the moment. Try again later.". Same when choose automatically.
It allows to do emergency calls, and in status bar shows: "emergency calls only | giffgaff".
In About Phone section, network is "O2 - UK" as suppose to be, Signal strength "-101 dBm 7 asu", mobile network type "HSPDA:8", service status "Out of service", Roaming "Not roaming".
Please ask any questions if any additional information is needed.
King regards.
I am looking forward to anyone to try assist with this issue, and kin to help.
Contact your operator for change your sim, it happens to me this summer, my Sim card was working well with other phones but with my Gnex everything was disabled. Then I've received my new Sim card and everything is working well

Then other SIMs would work well. But inserting any SIM in this phone - doesn't work for calling. Only mobile internet.

Based on this info, I suspect your radio simply died. You could of course try to reflash the radio firmware yourself, but I would not get my hopes up.

Thanks for info. I thought about that as well.
So would it be the option if I have bought the device from amazon, to use their RMA services - they should replace device.
Is that right?
Thanks for helping out.

Phone Signals

I have a canadian based S3 I747 and its unlocked (any sim card i insert it wont ask for the unlock code). However, no matter what i do... (root, update a non carrier rom, carrier rom, reset settings, install cwm radios posted in xda) the phone will not get any signal strength.
The imei is showing... however the signal strength is 0dBm 99 asu... I cant even dial 911 it will say mobile network not available..
Any solution to this will be grately appreciated... i will gladly buy you a coffee or a ham burger...
Thanks,
How did you unlock your device?
Does this happen even with the stock ROM and whatever SIM you were using before you unlocked the device?
Do you have an appropriate network operator set in Settings -> Other -> Mobile network settings -> Network operators (automatic might work in this case), and a matching APN?
Just trying to get a sense of what might be causing this...
Maybe a hardware issue?

I bought this phone from someone and stupid me didnt check at the time... i have tried every sim there is present in toronto, canada... and still no luck...

It shows the apns automatically once i put the sim card... like Bell or Rogers settings are shown in APN automatically....which means it reads the sim cards but doesnt register on any network... no bars... just a do not enter like symbol.....

I'm not really an expert on this either, but I'm going to guess one of two things is going on:
1) The phone isn't as unlocked as advertised - perhaps something went wrong with the unlocking process and shot the modem firmware. You'd need to figure out what network the phone was originally on to figure that one out, though. (Which reminds me - what baseband is your phone running right now? You might try something else from here - and make really sure you're using a Canadian baseband!)
2) Something was wrong with the phone long before it was ever sold to you, be it bad hardware, a bad IMEI (stolen phone?), etc. - the whole description of "bought my phone from someone" just sounds suspicious to me when you put it like that.
Honestly, I hope it's a modem firmware issue (I think if it was something to do with the IMEI and the like, you wouldn't be seeing those strange signal strength numbers).
EDIT: Here's a fun fact: when I unthinkingly flashed the broken CM10.1 12/28 build this morning (broken in that it refuses to communicate with the baseband), I saw exactly the same strange signal strength numbers. This leads me to believe that you are indeed facing a trashed baseband and/or an empty IMEI number, so check those out!

[Q] Full signal, cant make calls, no internet access

Hi Guys.
So received the phone on Thursday, Friday I did a sim swap from my normal sized sim to a micro sim. I waited the whole day but the phone didn't have any network access.
Today when I woke up I I switched the phone on hoping that everything will be fine, thinking the simswap just hasn't gone through yet, still no network access. I took out the swim from the phone and switched with my ipad, the sim was working in the ipad, and the ipads sim also didnt give the phone network access.
In the top right corner it shows full bars in grey, cant make emergency calls or anyhting.
In the about section of the phone, I have ALL the details present, baseband version is there, kernel version is there.
In Status section, network is unkown, signal strenght is -83 dbm 15 asu, network type unkown, service state is out of service, and the rest is also present.
I thought the phone didn't properly register to a network, so went into settings - wireless networks - more settings - mobile networks, but it gives me a insert sim card message.
The phone is reading the simcard fine because it asked for the PIN when switching on.
When trying to make a call I get, it says "Not registered on network"..
So what am I to do? Vodacom can only pickup the phone and exchange it on Tuesday, so was hoping that this might just be a software issue that can be resolved by a flash.
I have tried resetting / hard resetting the phone numerous times.
Its the Note 2 N7105 LTE Version
Any help would be highly appreciated.

If you bought it new dont flash anything and send it back. At this stage you dont need to make things complicated

Great thanks.
I tried this but didn't solve the problem. I am using the same sim that I received from the carrier with the phone they shipped.
I have played around in the menu however, maunally setting the band and so forth, just restarted and started receiving sms, so basically if not for your post I would not have solved this.
Thanks
I have isolated the problem.
In the service menu - UMTS - DEBUG SCREEN - PHONE CONTROL - NETWORK CONTROL - SERVICE DOMAIN
There are 3 options
1 CS + PS
2 CS ONLY
3 PS ONLY
CS seems to be for making calls and sending smses
PS seems to be for data connections (When this is selected, the bars are replaced with a circle with a stripe through)
I Could be wrong with the above, so anyone with experience please shed some light
Those 2 work seperately, but when CS + PS is selected, none of them work? Very odd, anyone know what the issue could be?
anyone?

T999 to Metro

I have an S3 rooted with 4.3.
I have a Metro PCS sim which I am trying to use with this phone.
The phone seems able to read the sim OK.
Under status I can see my phone number.
Everything else is unknown. Network is unknown, Mobile network type is unknown, service state is out of service.
I get full signal too, but when I go to mobile networks, I receive a message "Insert SIM card to access network services"
So I can see my phone number, and I dont have a message telling me to insert sim when I start the phone.
I have checked with Tmobile and I know the phone is not black listed, but when I make a call I get not registered on the network.
I do see also my IMEI number and seems to be correct under about
I really dont know where else to look for answers. I would love some help with this.
Any ideas?
Anyone?
Do you have the 4.3 modem? And also did you add the device to your line? Otherwise it won't work no matter what you do

The Baseband version is T999UVUEMJC.
I tried to add this phone by contacting Metro, and they told me that they couldn't because the phone is locked. I contacted T-mobile, and the person sent a request to get it unlocked, and said that I should wait 72 hours to hear from someone. I waited more then 72 hours, and I called T-mobile again, and then I was told that I needed to have service before they could unlock the phone. I was not sure if that was the issue since the phone did not give me the invalid sim card error.
I went to Metros site to see if I can check the IMEI. Their system said the phone was lost or stolen. I called T-mobile to check on the IMEI, and they told me its fine and there are no blocks, and ready to activate.
I also confirmed the status using both Swappa, and checkesnfree. They both say the phone is ok. I would think just using the Sim should work, but I am not sure what to believe.
Ok there are 2 things you need to do.
1) update your modem to a 4.3 modem
2) add the device to your line.. Just swapping sim cards will not work. It also doesn't need to be unlocked.. Any T-Mobile phone will work with metro as long as its in a gsm market, so you might want to try doing it again.. I worked at metro so that's how I know all this
Edit: never mind you do have a 4.3 modem my mistake for reading too quickly.. But it looks like you're set to go, you just need to add the device to your line, so try adding it again
