[Stock][Firmware] for KIW-L24 and L21 - Honor 5X ROMs, Kernels, Recoveries, & Other Develo

Disclaimer: I am not responsible for anything that happens as a result of flashing these files. You decided to flash these.
These are the Stock firmware Update.apps directly from Huawei just uploaded to Android File Host so you can actually download the files instead of relying on hamster powered servers. I have also extracted the update.apps so you can see the imgs/files that are included so you can take them apart if you so desire.

Instructions on how i extracted the update.app's:
I used a great windows tool from @worstenbrood as of right now it does not support making flashable zips for the Honor 5X, but i have made a profile so you can you will just need to take this file if you have L24/L21 or this file if you have L22 and add it at the end of the profiles.xml that is located in C:\Program Files (x86)\HuaweiUpdateExtractor then relaunch the application and select the Honor 5x profile.

The version of this device that available in Middle East for example Egypt is called Huawei GR5 .. any idea about the model number of this device ? and If it's possible to treat the device same as the Honor 5X?
As far as I know the hardware is identical but this begs the question about the support and if there is CM13 for example will it work with the GR5 ?

Some of us have test samples of a very similar Huawei G-series phone for the USA, but so far Huawei hasn't committed to letting us unlock those for development. Some members of the popular press are saying that they're identical but we can't agree until we get under the hood ourselves because such articles have already been shown to be inaccurate on several counts.
In the meantime, please give us your information at -
http://forum.xda-developers.com/honor-5x/development/discovery-looking-info-to-try-to-t3312325
I'll check it and let you know if the answer is no or not sure yet.
Meanwhile check the Huawei EMUI site for your region and model and see if you have a public download available for your stock rom.

any word on whats new about the new OTA update that came out today? http://club.hihonor.com/us/topic-462 my guess is its just doing another set of security patches, if not that then preparing us for marshmallow as they have announced that within 2 weeks their honor devices will begin to get marshmallow, but i think thats only for the honor 7 for right now

You're going to see some bug fixes in today's update along with performance improvements that will vary in effectiveness by user. Sorry to be vague but we're only allowed to say just so much about tests and changelogs beyond what they say publicly. I've been using the new update and recommend it personally.
Marshmallow is coming but it's better to not expect it in two weeks.

Apparently this update isn't released in US yet. HiHonor.com/US still has the B130.

No idea, but it's always safe to restore your stock boot and system, flash stock recovery, take the update, and reroot.

Just FUI I put the b130 dload folder on the sdcard along with the update.app and shut down the phone, then hold volume down and power and wait for the screen to go black / vibrate .. the phone then booted to an optimizing system screen and took about 4 min to finish and boot up.
after booting up I can see no difference in the phone ... it's still rooted and all my data is intact.
I had no luck booting to an eRecovery screen, holding volume up and power just boots to TWRP
same with vol up + vol down + power
Also no sign of an OTA update here, seems pretty slow it's been out over 4 days and it's not available anywhere

EDIT: Rollback to MM for Honor 6x is not that easy, it needs a firmware file called rollback package so I am sorry if somebody got hurt by my this post.
Roll back is quit easy, just download the B130 firmware from the first post of this thread. And follow one of these procedures either 1 or 2
How to Install ANY Stock Firmware on ANY Honor device, (But in this case we are talking about Honor 6x BLN-L21C185)
Method 1
1) First, download Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow ROM for Honor 6x from above and extract it, you will a file named update.app.
2) Now create a folder dload in the root/main folder of your SD card and place/copy paste the update.app file in that folder.
3) Now go to the phone settings–>update and press the menu button.
4) Now select choose Local update (If it is not available than follow the Method No. 2).
5) It will show the update.app file now tap on it to start the installation process.
6) Wait until the installation process is complete and then reboot your device., you have latest firmware
7) Done.
Method 2
1) Download Stock ROM for Honor 6x from above and extract it.
2) Now create a folder dload in the root/main folder of your SD card and place/copy paste the update.app file in that folder.
3) Now turn off your device.
4) Now press “Volume Up + Volume Down and Power Button” together. The update process will start automatically.
5) Now wait for some time to complete the process.
6) Done.
This is the easiest way to Download/Downgrade and install Stock Marshmallow Firmware on your Honor 6x. If you have any questions comment below.
Your phone should have at least 85% battery life/charge.
Press thanks if i helped you.

Yes. Rollback package is of few kbs to few MBs. Actual firmware is of GBs. Rollback package is needed to prepare your phone to be able to successfully rolled back.
Where can i find the rollback package for the bln-l21 (middel east)? I upgraded to nougat via firmware finder.

Also, very low headphone volume, 3,5mm output. Developers only think in how loud the music is today and they apply a volume lock on ALL variants. They dont think some records are quieter .

I got my phone from Amazon.de and the hardware version is the same, so I could probably update.
However, I have unlocked Bootloader. Probably why the update does not show in the update app. It will be the first time to update like this. Does it affect bootloader lock status? It will remove root but that can be reapplied later.

[Download] G5 Plus March Security Update for Retail Channels

Hey everyone,
You can download the March security update for G5 Plus (Retail channel only) from here
Side-load it through ADB.
(Note: This has been tested on Indian retail variant. It may/may not work on other retail variants - proceed at your own risk)
New build number is NPNS25.137-92-8
My RETIN device hasn't received the OTA yet. Is it rolling out now?

You may edit the title to something like "G5 Plus March Security Updates for Indian Retail Devices" as some users still don't know that it's a different firmware than for reteu/retus devices (those are ending on 93) and flashing this one could cause problems or at least take the opportunity to receive future OTA's.
Just a hint, no insinuation in any way, it's great that people like you share their firmware.

I don't see any problem with that, since it's a retail variant and there's no radio (carrier) dependency. Since all Moto G5 Plus retail variants are identical (except for no. of SIMs), there shouldn't any issue generally.
Can we just install it through TWRP ?
Bcoz i had hard bricked my moto g5 plus and use albus blank flash and i got like Moto z play bootloader and finally now its running by losing voLTE and Google pixel experience with 3g ...
So i am just wondering if i can flash it through twrp and then i get moto g5 plus boot loader back then i again flash a latest version firmware...

I don't see any problem with that, since it's a retail variant and there's no radio (carrier) dependency. Since all Moto G5 Plus retail variants are identical (except for no. of SIMs), there shouldn't any issue generally.

If you take a look here: https://mirrors.lolinet.com/firmware/moto/potter/official/RETAIL/
you'll see retail variants ending on 92 (+something) and on 83/93(+something). Both are retail firmwares and I think you can flash a 92 on a european or us device but as you change into the retin channel you won't receive regular OTA anymore. Motorola/Lenovo makes it hard to differ between the firmwares and I will try to find a stable source for that. I'm from Germany and I'm rooted so I don't take OTA's at the moment but friends of mine have received the march security patch and they are on a build called NPNS25.137-93-4.

No, after using albus blank flash you can't flash regular firmware anymore. You have to use a TWRP flashable version or any custom ROM.

Yes, you´re right, I mixed it up. 93-4 was for january I believe? But it´s 93-x for RETUS/RETEU, not 92-x., that´s what I wanted to point out.

I think i read somewhere in other threads that we can do it once oreo roles out .... so that we can pull away the new boot loader and push it to the hard bricked phones then we can normally get back the Moto g5 plus with official Oreo with OEM locking...
is this true ?

Possible. Like with the missing volte/4g or IMEI 0 problem some people hope that Oreo can fix it.
We will only be sure when/if Oreo is available.

So after releasing Oreo for moto g5 plus .. how long it might take to fix our phones using this method ? do we have to wait for deodexed oreo ROM or just directly install boot loader into phone and flash and push Oreo using fastboot method ?

I can't tell you. I'm not sure if Lenovo comes out with Oreo at all, it's been a long time of waiting now.
I think you are able to try it at once when you can grab a firmware with bl but maybe you'll have to wait until TWRP flashable builds are available or the kernel sources are released and some clever Dev can pick the needed files.
You can just wait and hope.

Steps
How to Update Moto G5 and G5 Plus to official stock Android 8.1 Oreo? The easiest way is to do an OTA upgrade. Note that this is full update zip. Best part is you will get future OTA updates because it is official and not a soak test.
Download the Moto G5 (Plus) zip file from above.
Transfer the file to phone’s internal storage. Go to Settings > apps Provide storage permission to Motorola Update Services app. Check for OTA updates from Settings.
The package will be automatically detected and system upgraded.

Basically yes.check the flashfile.xml inside the zip, it shows what should be flashed and the order.
It should be similar to nougat.
I'm curious where this full firmware comes from.

1) Nope - it seems that copying the OTA file to the top of the internal storage (alongside the Download, Alarms etc. folders) works.
2)In Settings>Apps, tap the 3 dots in the top right corner and tap 'Show system'. The Motorola update services should appear then.
Be aware that this update may require NPNS25.137-92-14 (I've not seen the EU/US/APAC OTA released yet), so if you're from the US or have a non-Brazil/non-Indian device, this update may fail to be applied.
My retus is NPNS25.137-93-14. If NPNS25.137-92-14 may be required then I guess there will be a different OTA file for EU/US/APAC? Unless Lenovo releases the lower number update NPNS25.137-92-14 to make the OTA compatible with EU/US/APAC?
bootloader unlock after oreo
Sir I have upgraded to oreo and my build number is opsOPS28.85-13 . I likes to unlock bootloader . When I go through the forum everything is written for stock or for custom roms. Is it ok to follow the normal procedure? or should I need to do something in particular?

Anybody facing WiFi problems.....some reported with this update...?
Updated this morning not via recovery.
Download this update for moto g5+ then placed in internel storage after that check for update then it automatically started update process.
And the main thing in this update is that it restore or repair baseband or presist which is responsible for network.

Motorola One Action Android 10 Update

Motorola One Action has received an Android 10 update for Brazil and India. As far as Indian Variant goes, the update package name is QSB30.62-17. Although I am enrolled in MNF, but my device is rooted and hence I can't get hold of the OTA (the usual Package Verification Error Message). If any Indian user could capture the OTA URL, kindly share it here. Thanks
Android 10 update is here!
Just now I received the Android 10 Update for my Moto One Action :crying: . Have a look at the below screenshots. Surprisingly, the size is only 743MB. I tried capturing the OTA URL, but couldn't find anything worthwhile. However, one line caught my attention, i.e.
ab_delta-Blur_Version.29.291.1-30.11.18.troika.retail.en.US.zip
I seriously don't know why its jump across the border over to the US as my device accepts RETIN (INDIA) firmwares. Anyways, who cares Talking about the version, it is QSB30.62-17. By the wat, it's taking way too long in getting downloaded. One hour has passed but only 50% complete. I will update the post with screenshots on successfull completion. :fingers-crossed:
EDIT: I Have received the Update with my device having an Unlocked Bootloader. So no need to relock your bootloader for the OTA. Just make sure to unroot your device (obviously )
I"m waiting for the update un Chile, also hoping More device development, come from a redmi note 3 pro

Here's the adb logcat of my device that I managed to capture as soon as I received the Android 10 OTA. See if you could find anything, like the OTA URL or something of that kind. I tried searching the file using the ota and zip keyword, but nothing fruitful came out. The logcat is in txt format but exceeds the maximum file size upload limit. So I have compressed it.
I found (googeling) an download link for the ota, i dont know yet if it works.

in case someone did not know that there is a magisk module that cuts the "notch" in the development options and this covered some notifications in Android 9,
In Android 10 this does not happen anymore, I comment in case someone has installed the module and remove it only for notifications

Here is what needs to be done.
I I have attached two files here. One is the fastboot commands file and the other one is of the extracted stock firmware. Here is what needs to be done,
Extract the ROM and keep it ready.
Then have a look at my 'fastboot commands' file.
Compare my fastboot commands file with the extracted ROM's servicefile.xml.
Make the modifications accordingly to the fastboot commands, if and where needed.
Note: Extract the ROM inside the Platform-Tools folder only. Then open cmd or PowerShell from within that folder and execute fastboot commands.
