Water damage - Sony Smartwatch 2

Hey guys
My SW2 has just suffered from water damage and won't turn on, I took the device apart and managed to locate the problem: the power button/NFC flex cable... Whenever it is connected the watch doesn't respond after plugging it in and connecting it while the watch is on shows the sony logo and then it turns off...
Plugging it in without the flex connected makes it work fine but with no power button :/
Any ideas on how to fix this?

Black Screen

Was using it when all of a sudden the screen turned off, rebooted and I could hear the booting sound but no screen was not showing anything. Gave it to a repair shop but they said that the screen was broken. Is there any way to fix it. I read somewhere that the screen's cable may be loose from the power. and if I plug it back in it might work. Please help.
Tried going to recovery mode, download mode. but not working. tried connecting to computer. I tried everything.
I don't know how to get into the N7, perhaps a Google search.
But once you are in, you will see ribbon cables laying flat and going into small plastic blocks. Push the connector with a fingernail on any cables you can access. Especially look for any cables going to the screen.
Sorry can't help anymore than that.

I'm not sure how the repair shop determined the screen was broken if they don't have a replacement part to test. But the screen is certainly the most expensive part, and you can see why they want to replace it. Here's the thread that shows you how to take it apart and reconnect if your cables happen to be loose. But first, shine a flashlight on it in a dark room while turned on. If you can see the display from the flashlight, the back light is faulty. Second, if you have a slimport adapter, get it connected to a TV (newer models). If the page shows up there, at least you know the GPU is still good.

Tried everything you said. Cant see any light from the screen. I think the screen has died. Touchscreen, speaker everything working fine. Only the screen is broken. You said I could connect it to an external display. What cable do I need? I only have a data cable. I'll have to buy the cable. Also can I use external display without doing settings on the phone first?
Thanks.

You flash a light on it to see if the screen has any display. You're not looking for any light, but the regular display of icons, etc... The back light is what illuminates the screen. Without it, you can't see anything unless you shine some light on it in a dark room. If the screen has died and you see nothing, how do you know the touchscreen still works?
The device is called slimport. If you plug it into the charging port, and connect it through an HDMI cable to your tv, it'll show without your having to do anything. Keep in mind that older LCD tvs might not work.

[Q] Charging led doesn't work anymore

Hello, for about 4 months I'm charging the phone with and magnetic Usb cable, today I've bought another one for my other phone and I tested the cable on the Z1 compact and the screen got blank the phone won't power on when pressed the button, I tought I ve bricked the phone, or the battery. Anyway I've pressed volume up and power for about 5-10 seconds and the phone turned on. It seems it works with no problems it charges, BUT the charging led doesnt work anymore. If I recieve a notification it works, all the colors (tested whatsapp, sms, calls), only when I plugged it to charge the led is off.
L. E : I've measured the pins and the new bought cable has the positive switched with the negative. ?
Any suggestions?

Don't use cheap crap.
It started working again . It was my mistake that I didn't checked the polarity of the cable. I will reverse the polarity of the cable.

try vol up+power till you got 3 vibrations then turn on again, or try power button while you plug charge...
more information...?
I had this problem too. Powering off device with small button near to SIM card worked for me. You will need sth small, that would fit into tiny hole, some kind of neddle, wire.

What does that button do...
I think that used to reset the phone
Hello, I have the same problem. My phone has stopped charging. No charge even in the off state. When you connect the USB cable being off or on the computer has failed USB devices. I've already trying with other cables and other chargers. I do not think it's a problem because the connector is in good condition.

Samsung 10.1 P5210 Tablet Shutdown

Hello fellow Xda forum members, I'm hoping someone can shed a light on what has happened to my Samsung P5210 tablet. Unfortunately this tablet has turned off and will not swtich on at all, my pc & odin don't recognize it. I've charged the battery externally but it won't turn on, & if I plug it into a wall charger the motherboard starts heating up on the upper right hand side of the tablet (under the power button). I've unplugged all flex cables and even changed the power connector cable but to no avail. I've tested the power connector on the mainboard with a voltage pen tester & no voltage passes when the tablet is being wall charged or when the battery is connected. Has any ever had this problem & how did they solve it? I'd really like to recover my files that were on my tablet if it was possible. Thank you for any assistance provided. Rocco
Does your PC recognise it in Device Manager?
Thank you Jespert for your reply. No, unfortunately neither desktop pc's nor laptops recognizie the tablet. I had the chance to bring my tablet to a technician
for repairs and he was able to turn on the tablet externally without using the battery and they kind of think that a transisitor could be at fault as the battery and connectors work perfectly.
maybe display problem? mine won't turn on so I disconnected the display cable and put it back in and it worked
Hi Andrei the Android Guy, thanks for the read & reply. I replaced the flex cable & disconnected the battery connector which worked in the past, so I think I can eliminate all other possibilities (I did unplug all other flex cables just in case). The tablet warms up when charging so I checked up on the internet & it seems that these series of Samsung tablets suffer from power management problems, something which was confirmed from the technician I brought it too for repairs (they managed to boot it up by rebuilding the charging circuit & it worked fine). I'm really griping about the fact that I couldn't copy my files before it turned off.

Nextbit Robin won't turn off

I got a Nextbit Robin recently and it always shows that it's charging no matter what, causing it to not turn off.
I've already tried to clean the flex cable, and I discovered that even if I didn't plug the USB C flex in, it's still keeps thinking it's charging, so it should be something on the board causing this.
This a hardware problem. I accidentally plug phone with cheap charger and then i got this same problem.
I replaced the power controller (PMI8994) and this issue has gone

Where do you get the parts? I am still looking for a battery to replace and can't find one.
