LG with MM 6.0.0 & Bluetooth Low Energy - G3 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I have installed MM in my LG G3, but after that I douldn't use the Smart Lock funcionality with mi band. I have read that there are problems with this BLE device in Android 6.0.
Does any bode know any solution? I expect LG resolve this problem when they launch the OTA update

ya!! I faced similar issues. one solution that worked for is to download nrf master control panel app from playstore and bond it. Now I'm able to use it as smartlock.

What if it doesnt bond

Did you do this any specific way? When I'm selecting "BOND" it tries to bond. For less then a second there is "CONNECTING" status and still "NOT BONDED".
Note: I have MiFit and Mi Band Tools installed with my BLE band visible in them.

AVRCP Metadata not submitting via Bluetooth.

So has anyone else come across this issue?
I haven't tested the google music player, but using Pandora, metadata were not being sent to the bluetooth player, just like the note 3 before it was updated to KK.
Any one else experience this?
Bump!
Really miss that feature. I listen to a lot of unknown music in my car through Google play Music and i liked the metadata in my headunit. Tried several players to no avail.
Any Solutions yet?

This fixed it for me. Search Google Play "autoaudio" VW Golf 2014. Also shows most recent notifications which is nice.
Thanks. will test and report later...

I'm having this issue as well. Mazda 3 nav unit. Very annoying.
Bumping this. I'm getting no tags (2nd gen Mazdaspeed 3). Some people have said they get it for music on the device just not for streaming i.e. Pandora. I get none from the built-in music player or Poweramp (or anything else). My GNex worked perfectly in this regard (after rooting and upgrading the BT stack), kinda disappointing that it doesn't work on a brand new handset.
Have been playing with the BT-settings in the secret service menu. Tried checking and unchecking SIG profiles , Apt X, LG AVRCP 1.3, starting and stopping services in all combinations to no avail.
It is even written there in the menu. Just doesn't work. Shiznitz.

I'm not aware of that menu. There's also the "Audio channel" setting in the bluetooth options, but it looks like that would disable the calls/notifications... I also tried that AutoAudio app, it displays the info properly in the app, still doesn't show in the car though.
Tap 3845#*855# in the Dialer - brings you straight to the Service menu.
If you have the international G3 D855 model that is.

I seem to recall this being the case on my S3 when it ran 4.4.2 and it got fixed when it bumped to 4.4.3, so maybe it's the android version that's the issue. I noticed the same thing and that was my first thought.
I was having the same problem and can confirm that autoaudio fixed the problem in my 2014 Kia soul with the infinity audio upgraded head unit with nav. Works fine now ??
I was thumbing through some system files and I found this.
In the Bluetooth system settings, it shows a confirmation of using AVRCP 1.4 instead of 1.3.
Since I can't make a back up and I'm afraid of doing harm to my Verizon G3 (again,) maybe someone can look into this?
Its under system > etc > bluetooth as a file called device_config.xml
Just a thought.
I can confirm the Autoaudio app works on my ATT D850 and my Ford. I use Beats Music and it shows track information in my car.
On my ATT 850, tags work around 50-60% of the time. It's strange. There's also quite a noticeable delay between tracks.

No, that was stock. I am going to try the autoaudio app today.
Having the same issue with my D855 running 10h-EUR-XXX rom. Car is a Chevy Camaro ZL1 2014.
And I also get stutter in the audio transfer from time to time. Like a small lag... Very annoying!

I'm just guessing because I'm running Lollipop on my OnePlus One so I'm using the built in functionality (it's awesome), but make sure the Zenwatch Manager is approved as a device administrator. Settings, security, device administrators. If it already is you might try disabling and re-enabling it.
Having the same problem here. Went back into zenwatch manager (on phone) and there is no longer the option. It's like the feature went missing.
Nexus 5, 5.0.1
I figured that the built-in lollipop trusted devices would work better and have used only it. It seems to work fine with the zenwatch and other BT devices.
Mine stopped working too. We're you able to get it fixed?

New Android Wear update - now we really need to know if Moto 360 has Wi-Fi

Google announced a new update for Android Wear. This update enables "phone-free" functionality so the watch does not have to be in Bluetooth range from the phone to work, it can also function if connected to a Wi-Fi network.
So does the Moto 360 have a working Wi-Fi implementation or not ? What is the consensus ? If not, this would be a good reason to upgrade.
http://googleblog.blogspot.ro/2015/04/android-wear-wear-what-you-want-get.html
It has a disabled wifi chip that was filed with the FCC, assuming it'll be turned on with this update.
It does have it, Motorola said so in their own blog

I wouldn't call it a weird statement. It is likely the software update that will enable this functionality - I doubt it is any sort of hardware limitation.

They better also unlock the other half of the battery if they enable true always-on screen functionality

But no updating on watch...

What build number and software number is the new FW? I got software 5.0.2, is that the new one?
It's only the android update side. I think we still need them to push the watch side.
i've updated my android wear app and wifi is enabled..I'm at work and have wifi here. i can walk to another office over 100 feet away and still connected where as yesterday it would say it was not connected.

The watch firmware still needs updated on the Moto360 before WiFi features will work.

Can anyone else confirm that the WiFi features are now fully functional on BOTH the App and the Watch? According to this Motorola blog.. it's going to be rolled out over the next "few" weeks: http://motorola-blog.blogspot.com/2015/04/moto-360-its-time-for-update.html?m=1
Updated to the newest Android Wear, enabled cloud sync and was in wifi range - waited some time for things to "sync" and verified the newest android wear and play services were installed on my watch. No sign of any Wifi connection to the 360 here. I don't believe it will be enabled until we get new firmware for the watch itself.

Nexus 5x Bluetooth marshmallow connection issues

Hi guys. Just wondered if anyone can help. I am having a problem with an app that connects a cycle computer (mio/magellan cyclo 505) and nexus 5x that provides texts and phone call notifications to the Cyclo 505 through a bluetooth connection. This seem to be occurring with other marshmallow nexus phones.
The developer has not as yet updated the companion app (cyclosmart) so that it is compatible with the marshamallow and as such it won't work at the moment. The phone app states when trying to pair with the 505 using the app that it 'Cannot detect your cyclo device' so it won't pair. I can pair using general BT settings outside of the app but the notifications don't work.
Previously I used the app with a sony xperia z3 running lollipop and it worked fine. The app and its purpose is relatively specialised but I wondered if there is anyway to get the notification back on the bike computer again. If you take a look at the following theread on the CycloGPS forum you will see that this issue has been going on for a while and it some have got it working with a htc m8 and nexus 7 running marshmallow.
I have contacted the developer and mio/magellan) and it not looking like it will get updated at the moment so wanted to try and find a fix myself I've tried many things but all without success.
Any help will be much appreciated.
Not an answer for you, but Garmin's fitness devices also have various BT and Wifi issues that are difficult to get working.

My Firmware version is V1.0.0.53 and MI Fit version is 2.2.3. I suggest you need to un-pair and uninstall MI fit app. Restart your phone. And then Install MI Fit app and re-pair with mi band. Remember, Always open Bluetooth and GPS when you re-pair or update firmware, otherwise your device may be fail to pair or update firmware.

Mi band blue tooth
I had come across a similar situation where miband was not syncing with mifit app. searched a lot and could not get any solution. and a simple workaround helped me. So thought of sharing this. Mi band seems to be not connecting and syncing. i checked the bluetooth settings where i got an option to forget the band. and i had done that. Now i faced the real issue that i could not found the band in range after scanning for the devices.. Now i was searching for an option to reset miband which i found there was no way. then while i was exploring the mifit app under profiles i found an option as add device. in fact it was showing my device there already and that was the actual issue i guessed. So i could unpair the same from there and clicked add a device. it worked . my band started vibrating and phone screen shown a message to press the button on the band. I pressed the same and it got paired and synced with all old data. That was a simple issue but some times we dont check the things in right place.
Hope this post will help some one

Try my Solution here.
You can use the Mi Band Master app. The free version is enough as an alternative to Mi Fit. It can reset the band, and you can set new configurations.
There is also a Pro Version which is the best!
Well, I got the same issue,
In Bluetooth settings, I can see the mi band 2, but when trying to pair with mi fit or mi band master app, it doesn't.
Tried a third party app Fix-It for mi band 2 but it doesn't work either,
The band is unpaired from the account and the phone.
Tried on an other phone but still not connecting.
The band is tracking my activity and the HRM is working too
HELP ME T_T
Here are some of the steps that I found from one of the youtube videos.
[/URL]
If you paired it with a device, and now you're trying to pair it with another device, it won't work. First of all, you have to unpair it with old device, then try connecting it to the new device.
Please sufficiently charge your Mi Band.
Try restarting the Bluetooth and then connect it.
If this also doesn't help, rebooting your phone will definitely help.
After lots of research.. I found this application gadgetbridge.
Connect you band to this app.
Click on Menu -> Debug -> Factory Reset
note you will lose all your data from band. But it will get reset and then your mi-fit app will start detecting it again.
