Hi everyone, this is the moment you have been waiting for, because today i will show you how to root LG G pro lite using software called VRoot.
Note that VRoot is made by chinese people, so some language is in chinese despite i use the english version, but don't worry this root method is actually works for LG G pro lite.
Alright first of all, i'm not going to tell you why you need to root your phone, don't do this if you are not sure, if you root your phone it will remove the warranty that's for sure.
You need to download VRoot (english version) from here (only about 6 Mb or something). And then install it on your computer.
Here's step by step how to root LG G pro lite using VRoot :
step 1, install LG G pro lite USB driver on the computer.
step 2, activate USB debugging mode on the phone.
step 3, download and install VRoot on the computer.
step 4, run VRoot on the computer.
step 5, plug the phone to the computer.
step 6, wait until VRoot detect the phone, it should shows your LG G pro lite model, for example mine was LG D686.
step 7, click the Root button and wait until the whole process finish.
step 8, VRoot will says that the root is successful
step 9, the phone will reboot
step 10, congratulation now you have root access
Whew, that was easy, now you should be able to see the superuser app like this :
Looks like my phone also get chinese app and i'm not sure what is it for, but it should be safe to uninstall.

Does this ever work ?

Beware of malware
I used this tool to gain root. It worked but in the process it installed KingRoot and other unwanted apps in my phone (UC News, etc). Then I started getting pop-up adds and the phone started misbehaving (turning on Wifi, reinstalling apps I had uninstalled).
I tried Anti-Malware removal tool and it was only able to remove 2 out of 4 found. Factory reseting the phone didn't work as the KingRoot got installed as part of the phone.
I do not recommend this tool. You may gain root access but it comes with malware. Use it at your own risk.

Same here. I'm not recommeding this tools to root your cellphone. My devices got very lag, because popup suddenly appear in frequent. It force install lot of software (cleaner, booster, etc).
Since it using Chinese language, I don't understand how to remove it, so I have to flash my cellphone again.

[Q] Is it possible to remove "Activation" dialog at startup?

I am using the device ONLY as a gaming device and have no plans to activate it through Verizon, however, everytime I turn it on, it asks me to activate on the network. I can simply close this and avoid it, but I would prefer to remove this entirely if possible. I tried to root the phone but no matter what rooting tool I use, it fails. Every time.
Can I please get some help? I am more of a Windows Phone person so I don't know much about Android rooting and modding.

If I recall correctly, the Verizon versions of the R800 (Might be the R800x) are somewhat locked down so I doubt you can do much at all 'easily' to be honest.
At the very least, without ROOT access you'll be unable to write to the SYSTEM partition which is what you will likely need to get access to in order to remove the activation message - it'll likely be an application that simply needs deleting. You can definitely get ROOT access on the R800x's though, I think it requires flashing different firmware using flashtool.
I would however stress to not let this particular device put a 'downer' on Android devices for you as a whole - there are only a small few devices locked down like this and the rest of the R800's aren't as restricted. You need an R800i lol.
I've tried to hunt down info to no avail on rooting this model. Every root too I've used has shown no results. The device does not change.

I have r800x rooted by doom method. Depends on what software you are running what root method you will need. Are you 2.3.2?2.3.3?2.3.4?2.3.7?

You can definitely root the R800x on 2.3.4. I've done it on 3 phones.
I posted this thread a while back to inform others of an easy root method using the Cydia Impactor Root tool .... ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=55573098 ). You won't see any visible changes after running the root tool (other than seeing su binary placed in system/xbin folder after rooting), but you can install Supersu to manage root applications after you inject the root with Cydia.
You may need to install an older version of Supersu after running Cydia Impactor Root, as I have not tested the newest version of Supersu from the Play Store. You can grab an older Supersu apk from here: ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=53636923&postcount=2 ) which I believe would work if the newest Supersu doesn't work. ( Thanks goes to XDA member DocHoliday77 for the supersu apk and of course to Chainfire).
After you gain root, then check out post #7 in this thread ( http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=55290171 ) to see how to easily install CWM / Clockwork Mod Recovery.
.... (FYI, there's actually another root method called Eroot that also works on the R800x on 2.3.4 and 2.3.3....it's discussed in the same thread above where I said to see how to install CWM .... but I prefer Cydia Impactor method instead).
I hope this helps.

Sorry, I had to.
So, I turned this phone on after about a year since this last post and I decided to give it another go. Finally got it using the Cydia Impact method. BusyBox refuses to work but file browsers are allowing root access to delete the bloatware apps so thats good. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for this interesting app. I will give it a try at next week. I've got my LG G Pad 7 with Lollipop and would like to root it. I still missing more internal memory becuase the Android system uses mostly of this memory and I can not install many apps because of that. Do you know any app or method to use the SD as internal memory?
Thanks for that amazing job!!

To use external SD for apps and data tte best (and only, IMO) tool/app is Link2SD.. I used it long time ago when devices had Froyo installed and only 280 MB of space for /data partition!! WOW!
It was completely free at that time, but now the free version is not so useful for us as the Pro one, which costs € 2. But it worths!!
P.S.: Link2SD requires a bit of work and knowledge before being able to properly use it; the web is full of guides on how to format external SD and how to use the app itself!
Thanks so much. I will keep it in mind and try it as soon as possible
thanks you can add sprint\lg lk430 to list of supported devices
I got my V700 with 10.1 inch a few hours ago from amazon. First look: 4.4.2 was installed. Ok I wanted root. I installed towelroot, everything worked fine.
After that I installed Lollipop 5.02, but of cource root was gone...towelroot again...no effect.
Then I found this DP-Tool(s). First I was irritated, cause my "360 internet security" alarmed me...virus alert. However, I trusted DP-Tools, put on the white list.
After installing LG_G_Pad Driver (lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-V700) the Pad was recognized on my win 8.1 x64...of course I activated USB debugging before.
However...rooting this 10.1 LG_PAD was pretty simple after that. Root Checker tells me also that I got root now. Very cool tool. Thanx at all. Hope i did not infect my Windows or the Tablet...
but I guess this was a standard alert which appears often when using tools like this one. I will de-install DP-Tools anyways...feel more comfortable without it. Device is rooted...mission accomplished.
After fiddling with this for a few minutes, I'm guessing I need to have ADB installed for it to work? I love the layout., and will really be happy if this works.
So, follow up question. I finally got the root process to start, but now its sitting in the firmware update screen saying not to unplug etc. How long is this going to take? I'm sitting at 30 minutes right now. and 0%
Meh
It doesn't seem to be working for me. It acts as though the phone isn't connected to the laptop. Using LG Optimus Exceed 2
Can i get. Origin firmware of lg g pad 7 uk410

[Help] LG G4 Update and root things

Hey i just bought an lg g4. And it's something weird about it. Its an h815 version. The imei, the serie and the numbers are the same as the box, nothing weird. BUT the phone is alredy rooted. From fabric? Its rare. But thats not the problem. The problem is it has 5.1 and i want the update to 6. I checked ota and nothing. So i want to make an update from lg bridge from pc. But ITS ROOTED and i read it can make troubles. So i unrooted the phone with supersu and then i uninstalled it. I download rootchecker and the app say the phone is not root anymore. But SuperSu app still appearing in the system apps list. I try to make theorys. But nothing makes sense. I dont wanna ask if its weird because it is. The question is if i could install the update without risks.
Extra information: when i open the supersu app it says that the binaries need an update but couldn't download it.
If its usefull i upload a screenshot of the software info

Time to root! So, can the LG Q7+ be rooted?

Now that the Q7+ is out in mass can it be rooted? I know you can unlock it but can be rooted and if so what are
some of the ways it's been done? Removing bloatware is a big motivation for rooting for me.
Cheers!

If I have Metro Pcs Q7+ LM-Q610MA, can it be unlocked. Because the option for OEM unlock is available in the dev. Options. Anyway I've never done it, and figure I use the twrp app and that's a wrap.

Bootloader unlock and rooting are two different things.
And what about apps like KingRoot, Kingoo Root etc?

I have tried every method out there, KingRoot, Kingoo Root etc do not work on this device.
And have you updated Android system on first run?
The ubdate process starts automatically, it needs disabling in settings.
From box yet the system version is dated as 1 may 2018, and very agressivelly wants to update itself
It's obvious the newer system update the less probability KingRoot manages it!
An another question, have you tried to root via KingRoot or KingooRoot, but NOT an apk run on Android - but exe run from PC and connecting through USB cable?

Like I said, "I have tried every method out there". tried before and after updating no luck.
Maybe developers from KingRoot, KingoRoot etc. will find some exploit within this system, to enable obtaining root without touching bootloader
And indeed did you try with KingoRoot on PC? I tried to try, as KingoRoot didn't want to get installed on MS Win. As part of installation it downloads something from Internet, but it has been stuck exactly on 10% of progress bar.
Repeated on another komputer and the same: stuck on 10%! Have you experienced anything like this? So, how have you tried to root through KingoRoot from PC if the program can't install at all on a computer?

Need help with hardbricked phone

Hi, something went wrong while trying to install pixelExperience on my redmi note 8 pro. It doesn't reach any screen, no fastboot, no recovery, no boot screen. The notification led light up when connected to the PC, but no charging screen.
I was installing pixelExperience 11 with no error, but it never booted up after rebooting.
I'm currently trying to flash rom downloaded from xiaomifirmwareupdater.com with SP flash tool. I'm using the version from UnbrickRN8ProNoAuth, it says it worked, but the phone won't start.
The booloader was unlocked, I tried both the global and the europe version. I don't know what to try now, any suggestion ?
What could be the problem, I was expecting that flashing the official rom would at least get me to the boot screen.
Thanks !
Hello to me, exactly the same thing happened to me when installing pixel experience, you follow all the steps of UnbrickRN8ProNoAuth
to use python, driver, libusb, bypass and finally spflashtool with the dafiles and the authfiles?
I use the version with this method is this:
https://c.mi.com/thread-3612344-1-0.html
With that I was able to start the mobile and the fastboot mode worked again, apparently it is a bug when entering pixel experience if you have firmware 12.5 that sometimes causes the brick, try that version it worked for me. a greeting
ps: especially remember to use the auth_sv5.auth in the program
and MTK_AllInOne_DA_mt6765_mt6785, if everything is correct you should get a green check, I tell you because first the program checks the rom if it is correct, do you connect it by pressing the 3 buttons at the same time?
Hey, thx, I'll try with this version then !
Yes I have the green check, and I connect the phone with only the vol+ pressed.
I need to do the bypass every time, is that the normal behaviour, and is there another step I should redo ?

Because of the preloader mode I never use volume + I always use the 3 buttons, so I added the "libusb filter" the bypass I don't know exactly what it is for, but the 2 times that I used the mediatek program and I used it, I just look at it, and according to github it is used for: "Small utility to disable bootrom protection (sla and daa)" and according to google the bootrom: "Bootrom (or Boot ROM) is a small piece of ROM mask or write-protected flash embedded inside of the processor chip. It contains the first code that the processor executes when turning on or resetting. "Enteoria, if it doesn't write you that data from version 12.0.4, it doesn't turn on, follow all the steps correctly with the rom that is shared with you. above and I should start your phone.
It's working again !!
I searched for a similar version but global, and installed it (https://c.mi.com/thread-3565279-1-0.html)
Thanks a lot.
If that can help someone, this time I had an error on the 4th step, it wasn't finding my phone whereas the step 5 could. I had to rerun step 3.
Now I have to choose between settling with this version or trying again ^^ did you manage to install pixelExperience in the end ?
Hi, I'm glad you fix it in the end, the rom that you put is the same, it only changes that mine is the europe version and yours is International, the google patch also changes,
In the end, if I could install pixel from 12.0.4 to pixel 12, from 12.5 the firmware is different and there are many bricks, I bricked myself just like you did not turn on anything, when going from 12.5 to pixel 11, from 12.0 no It opens up risks of going to pixel 11 or 12.
in the end, you can only install pixel 12, wanting to put 11 could not mount the system and the provider
The problem that the cameras do not work well in pixel, even installing gcam they go lag and not all of them work, not even the 64mpx mode, right now I am in miui stock with bootloader closed again. the cameras are important to me, greetings
