Thanks for this interesting app. I will give it a try at next week. I've got my LG G Pad 7 with Lollipop and would like to root it. I still missing more internal memory becuase the Android system uses mostly of this memory and I can not install many apps because of that. Do you know any app or method to use the SD as internal memory?
Thanks for that amazing job!!

To use external SD for apps and data tte best (and only, IMO) tool/app is Link2SD.. I used it long time ago when devices had Froyo installed and only 280 MB of space for /data partition!! WOW!
It was completely free at that time, but now the free version is not so useful for us as the Pro one, which costs € 2. But it worths!!
P.S.: Link2SD requires a bit of work and knowledge before being able to properly use it; the web is full of guides on how to format external SD and how to use the app itself!

Thanks so much. I will keep it in mind and try it as soon as possible

thanks you can add sprint\lg lk430 to list of supported devices

I got my V700 with 10.1 inch a few hours ago from amazon. First look: 4.4.2 was installed. Ok I wanted root. I installed towelroot, everything worked fine.
After that I installed Lollipop 5.02, but of cource root was gone...towelroot again...no effect.
Then I found this DP-Tool(s). First I was irritated, cause my "360 internet security" alarmed me...virus alert. However, I trusted DP-Tools, put on the white list.
After installing LG_G_Pad Driver (lg.com/us/support-mobile/lg-V700) the Pad was recognized on my win 8.1 x64...of course I activated USB debugging before.
However...rooting this 10.1 LG_PAD was pretty simple after that. Root Checker tells me also that I got root now. Very cool tool. Thanx at all. Hope i did not infect my Windows or the Tablet...
but I guess this was a standard alert which appears often when using tools like this one. I will de-install DP-Tools anyways...feel more comfortable without it. Device is rooted...mission accomplished.

After fiddling with this for a few minutes, I'm guessing I need to have ADB installed for it to work? I love the layout., and will really be happy if this works.

So, follow up question. I finally got the root process to start, but now its sitting in the firmware update screen saying not to unplug etc. How long is this going to take? I'm sitting at 30 minutes right now. and 0%

Meh
It doesn't seem to be working for me. It acts as though the phone isn't connected to the laptop. Using LG Optimus Exceed 2

Can i get. Origin firmware of lg g pad 7 uk410
model-LG G Pad 7.0 LTE
Device Model-LGE-LGUK410
Version-4.4.2
Build Number-KOT49I.UK41010b
Carrier-US Cellular
I'm sorry. But. I wanna get. Origin firmware.
Where. Can I get it?
Thank you

So no luck Root G Pad v410 Lollipop......

tnxx any update for support lg g4 ?? all variant (+818p)

Is the Att v930 supported?

lemme guess.. dev rom 4.4 right? i also face this and is apparently to all 4.4 based ROMs, maybe Sony didnt update the apps to be compatible
For MIUI, try to do the following
1.Give all of SW2 app whole competence, including let it launch itself.
2.Move app to the system partition.
3.Flash Android primary system instead of MIUI.
Wish this can helps you
Thank you for your responses. I downgraded to 4.3 and did a backup to the watch apps. This way it worked.

Hello everyone
i have found a way to get my sony sw2 and its extensions working in both miui v5 and v6 on my xiaomi mi3w and mi4
in fact it was very simple omia
the only issue is you need to get a paid app (well i have only tried on on this paid apps)
the first one is titanium backup:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackup
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.keramidas.TitaniumBackupPro
and the other is
Root toolbox pro:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jrummy.liberty.toolboxpro
now you only need ONE of these programs
i have tested with both
first install
sony smart connect:
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sonyericsson.extras.liveware
then the sony sw2 application
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.sonymobile.smartconnect.smartwatch2
and pair the phone and sw2 like normal
install any apps for the smart watch you want
then use either titanuim backp or root toolbox
and convert smart connect to a "system app"
and any smart extensions you want
there you go...simple
That would be excellent. Thanks for the tip.
However, how to make the system directory writeable? I have root access, but still /system cannot be written an I get a 'No space left on device' when using /system/app mover
I am using a weekly build from xiaomi.EU
Sorry, doesn't work for me...
Guys backup all sw2 app in the backup app. Works like a charm. No need for Titanium Backup
JustPlayingHard: Can you please explain more about this procedure? When I tried it a time ago, it didn't work too. Thanks!
Edit: Solved. Need to use another method, this doesn't work.
Hi guys,
Im using MI3W with MIUI v5 global v23 (4.4 KitKat).
Using backup method is not working for me.
But changing the smartwatch2 related apps to System Apps works. Im using Link2sd because the free version can convert apps to system apps
Hope it helps
I have been playing around, and as suspected the app extensions are not started, therefore not integrated in the Smart Connect suite. Extensions that have a configuration screen outside Smart Connect, could be running, but ones that reside entirely within the suite did not. So you have to call these by hand.
Prerequisites:
Mi3 paired with your SmartWatch
Smart Connect + Smartwatch 2 installed
Work plan
Install Quick Shortcut Maker or QCustomShortcut or comparable. I will use the first
Install the desired Smart Extension
Open shortcut maker and look for the Extension in the list
Unfold the option list and select the Intent that is called yiberidada.dodo.whateveritiscalled.PreferenceActivity (See picture 1 )
Tap "Try" (picture 2), and you get into the Preference dialog of the extension. You don't need to actually make the shortcut, so you can close the Shortcut maker app.
Now make a local backup of these two apps: Smart Connect and SmartWatch 2 (picture 3). Your watch will vibrate once after the backup is completed.
After completing the backup, you may want to delete the backup file because you don't need it.
Check out the app list in Smart Connect and see that the Smart Extension is visible in the installed applications list. Yiaajjj!! (Picture 4)

instead of rebooting into download mode my phone starts in fastboot .. and root unsuccessful. any help? i have D801 running stock lolipop D80130a
Same as above
instead of rebooting into download mode tablet starts in fastboot .. and root unsuccessful. I have Gpad 8.3 VK810 running Kitkat VK81024A
I tried to do the Backup, but it does not work (check root for example works fine). I also tried running the app as administrator, but that does not help either. The folder I choose for the backup just stays empty.
Any advice, what I could try to get it to work? (usb debugging is enabled)
When I try to root my LG G2 running firmware D80130B, It always gets stuck at this point:

I thought fastboot was the stock boot loader. Now i see that its a seperate tool. So mine just boots normally the first time and then just sits there without entering download mode. I've tried the stand alone "Reboot Download Mode" option as well and it does nothing. on the vk810

Lg g3 d852
Hi i have an lg g3 d852 with stock firmware. My issue is that when i removed the back off the phone it says d850 not d852 and on top it says b2_us0106 does this mean that my phone was previously a at&t phone but costco (the place where i bought my phone from) just took an at&t and flashed the rogers firmware onto it.
What is my battery graph on stock supposed to look like? I feel like its much worse than it used to be and one percent lasts like 2.5 minutes. I am using wifi and 50% brightness.
LG G3 APPS | Resurrection Remix Rom
Hi.. I have installed Resurrection remix ROM in my LG G3 . I like that ROM. But I don't have access to few lg g3 features like
Lg camera

Dual window

Lg tracker
Music and video app
So is there a way to install those apps in Resurrection remix custom ROM. If it's available can you please share it. It will be useful for me. If it is available I would say it is the best ROM.

Coming from Samsung Galaxy S4
Hey guys, I've been Samsung ftom the S2 and I was hoping to get some help with regards to the G3 (D855)
I'm interested in the following in a phone:
USB OTG
Multiwindow Support
Rootable
Removable Battery*
SD Card Support
FM radio (yes, really )
So after having researched abit Ive decided on the LG G3 rather then the LG G4 and other flagships (though open to any recommendations)?
With the Samsung Galaxy S4 I've been able to power and use OTG to my 1TB Transcend Hardrive without external power. Can anyone test if the LG G3 can power a usb-powered 1 or 2 TB Hardrive without having to connect a y-splitter or similar to power the hardrive?*
If anyone had issues with the screen (yellow tint) or low battery after how long did it appear or is it apprent with the older batches (reason I ask is I want to know how long before I can root it (warranty to see if there's a manufacturing defect)?
lg g3 d855 software problem
Hello,
I have a LG G3 D855 that shut down while I was using it(browsing net) and it didnt turn on again. Since the phone was still in warranty, I sent it to service.
I was surprised to be called by service and informed that my warranty was canceled because of 'unauthorized software', which they claim to be the operating software.
The service explanation was very ambiguous, something that the phone doesnt recognize its IMEI and that means unauthorized software installed.
The problem is I havent done any unauthorized updates as they claim and I dont want to pay for the repair since the phone is/was on warranty.
Has anyone ever encounterd same kind of issue or heard of anything similar? And what should I do?
My carrier supports hd voice do i need to enable it somehow? Any clue tha hd voice works?

Hi everyone, this is the moment you have been waiting for, because today i will show you how to root LG G pro lite using software called VRoot.
Note that VRoot is made by chinese people, so some language is in chinese despite i use the english version, but don't worry this root method is actually works for LG G pro lite.
Alright first of all, i'm not going to tell you why you need to root your phone, don't do this if you are not sure, if you root your phone it will remove the warranty that's for sure.
You need to download VRoot (english version) from here (only about 6 Mb or something). And then install it on your computer.
Here's step by step how to root LG G pro lite using VRoot :
step 1, install LG G pro lite USB driver on the computer.
step 2, activate USB debugging mode on the phone.
step 3, download and install VRoot on the computer.
step 4, run VRoot on the computer.
step 5, plug the phone to the computer.
step 6, wait until VRoot detect the phone, it should shows your LG G pro lite model, for example mine was LG D686.
step 7, click the Root button and wait until the whole process finish.
step 8, VRoot will says that the root is successful
step 9, the phone will reboot
step 10, congratulation now you have root access
Whew, that was easy, now you should be able to see the superuser app like this :
Looks like my phone also get chinese app and i'm not sure what is it for, but it should be safe to uninstall.
Does this ever work ?
Beware of malware
I used this tool to gain root. It worked but in the process it installed KingRoot and other unwanted apps in my phone (UC News, etc). Then I started getting pop-up adds and the phone started misbehaving (turning on Wifi, reinstalling apps I had uninstalled).
I tried Anti-Malware removal tool and it was only able to remove 2 out of 4 found. Factory reseting the phone didn't work as the KingRoot got installed as part of the phone.
I do not recommend this tool. You may gain root access but it comes with malware. Use it at your own risk.

I do not recommend this tool. You may gain root access but it comes with malware. Use it at your own risk.

Since it using Chinese language, I don't understand how to remove it, so I have to flash my cellphone again.
